Heeeeeeeeello! Had such a CUTE a/n - will post about it later ...... Plunging girls into bath .......

Sexonknackeredlegs · 10/07/2007 18:20

Hi ladies.

Wow Ooogs, you must have written everything down, or do you just have a super memory!?

Eddas.... 14 hours??!! Blimey.

Nutty, enjoy Ellie when she arrives.

Bramshott, you don't look 33 at all. Must ev something in the Hampshire water??

Had K weighed. Only put on 7 ounces in 2 weeks. Still on the 25th centile, so no-one worried. She is such a happy lamb bless her!

Hope everyone is ok. Need to get on, but back later. xx

elkiedee · 10/07/2007 19:15

Ooogs, love the photos.

Meet up was fun - Wild Cherries is a vegetarian cafe but it does lots of nice cakes as well as the more wholesome sort of food I'd expect in such places. There were 5 of us there but the cafe is obviously popular with women with babies, as a number of others came and went. And it was great to only have to get one bus, though it must have been a more complicated journey for 3 of the other 4 - one lives locally.

A bloke in the cafe commented that Danny will grow up to be a boxer - something my little brother aspired to in younger days - I really hope not.

Nuttygirl, hope Ellie and Matthew and Joe reach you safely, am guessing they probably haven't yet.

oooggs · 10/07/2007 19:18

memory?????? no chance sokl. I keep hearing a crying/squalking/chatting and I go and investigate and realise I have babies. As if I could forget that, but I am trying

CaptainDippy · 10/07/2007 19:41

Glad you enjoyed the meet-up Elkie!

Yes, hoping "The Ellie, Joe & Matthew Show" arrives safely - will post if I hear anything.

Anyway - my CUTE afternoon - took Phoebe to visit a good friend whose BIL, John is staying with them. John has Downs Syndrome and is absolutely lovely - such a sweetie - He fussed over little P the whole time we were there -stroking her cheek, calling her "beautiful" and "a little princess". They had lots of gorgeous cuddles and he was so wonderful and gentle and amazing. Oooooh, welling up just thinking about it. He is such a humble, lovely man. Made me think of Smole and her wee man too - and how blessed she is to have such a special little boy and how much fun they are going to have as grows up - despite the obstacles he is going to have to overcome etc - I do hope smole is doing ok.....

WestCountryLass · 10/07/2007 20:08

DDs 3rd birthday today She was so excited when she saw her presents that she stood there flapping her arms and shaking!!!!

We went to Jump with a friend today and then after school we went to her Grandads for a picnic and she was nodding off in the car on the way home smiling to herself, love her, she had a brilliant day

Emmymummy · 10/07/2007 20:13

Hi CD - your post was so sweet it made me well up too!

WO - I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's baby. That must be the most unbearable thing in the world to have to go through and deal with. All our LOs are so precious. I gave mine extra special hugs and kisses when putting them to bed tonight.

We're fine here, though still lacking in sleep (so very of everyone whose LOs are sleeping through). S is amazing - she is so strong and can stand up with surprisingly little support. And she has figured out how to wiggle herself out of her bouncey chair and onto the floor . I need to start strapping her in now. She is very smiley and chatty. I swear she's been here before...

oooggs · 10/07/2007 20:14

happy 3rd birthday wcl dd. Bless her

Katy44 · 10/07/2007 20:23

Hi everyone,
Incredibly stressful day (well afternoon). Nothing bad just lots of little things. Hope everyone is OK and the Ellie and Joe show arrive safely

Katy44 · 10/07/2007 20:23

(and Matthew of course!)

eca · 10/07/2007 21:09

Evening all. I should be wrapping pressies, but trying to catch up with everyone's news.

Went shopping today and now have a scary pair of Trinny and Susannah's magic pants! £35 - phew! T did his " I don't want to be in the pushchair" and so rode round with me holding him sitting on the handle like a naughty baby

eca · 10/07/2007 21:09

WO - that's awful. Your poor friend. Thoughts and prayers with her and with Vio too xx

elkie - I got locked in the library once and I FREAKED out! Must have been scary with a lo xx

Sexonknackeredlegs · 10/07/2007 21:20

Evening lasses.

CD, what a lovely afternoon. My dh's cousins ds has Downs', and he really is such a character.

WCL, bless your dd! Hope she had a great day.

Katy, what has been happening? You sound quite stressed.

All ok here. K seems a lot better and took her whole bottle tonight, although listening to her on the monitor she sounds a bit unsettled. I hate monitors - thy make me feel really edgy!

Hope everyone is ok this evening.

eca · 10/07/2007 21:35

hi sokl

Good to hear K is a bit better tonight I know what you mean about monitors, they are a bit of a curse as well as blessing. Every little sniffle makes me jump.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 10/07/2007 21:44

Eca, stupidly I have left K's monitor in the cot with her - albeit at the other end, but it makes everything really loud! I need to move it!

Where is everyone??

runnyhabbit · 10/07/2007 21:58

just a quick hello

Dh working v long hours atm, so am worn out with J and W. Esp as W has decided he doesn't want to sleep at night

love to all
x

Katy44 · 10/07/2007 22:00

Hi I'm back!
I'm fine really, just trying to get all my work done, DH has a cold so he's been lying on the sofa feeling sorry for himself (I've been feeling sorry for him too as I poked him in the eye last night, really badly ) T has had a very screamy evening, and is now tucked up in his cot and I've just been feeling generally stressed. We had people round last weekend, it was really good to see them, but you know when you feel like you don't really get any time to yourself? Also, trying to prepare for first ever nights away from home the weekend after next when we go down to Worcester.
Plus the house is a tip - nothing new there then
Hope everyone is OK, Dippy at your lovely afternoon, he is right though, she's beautiful!
SOKL, glad K seems better, know what you mean about monitors, half the time all I hear is interference and then I worry about the sounds that's hiding!!

Katy44 · 10/07/2007 22:01

Hi runny x

WestCountryLass · 10/07/2007 22:12

WO, so sorry to hear about your friends baby, that is jsut beyong terrible

Octo, mine are having ham sarnie, crisps, fruitini fruit jelly, babybel and humzinger and will be sent home with pencil case that has flashing pen in and a small choccy bar.

octo · 11/07/2007 07:23

Morning - better night - just up once at 3am which is great. He is just wakin gup now - so no time to chat ... again - and not sure if anyone else is up

Dreamt about you know what last night! And that there was a woman outside the house with exact duplicates of my children and wanted to steal mine - so when woke up at 3am didn't want to get out of bed in case she got in the house But they are all still here this morning

My turf is coming today - a lawn yippee! Very sad I know!

WCL - hope the party goes well - am looking forward to stans but looking forward to it being over! Haven't got him presents yet ... must crack on tomorrow and get stuff organised.

Have a quiet morning and then friends over for tea, football after school and a man coming to try and sell us a kitchen at 7.30pm. Things need to slow down again around here - atleast in holidays won't have to do school run.

Better go - ds2 starting to play up xxx

octo · 11/07/2007 07:24

Katy44 · 11/07/2007 10:15

morning
Bad night here too - T just does not want to go back to sleep after his 5am feed (well 4.30 this morning)

elkiedee · 11/07/2007 10:21

Morning all,

we decided last night to have a sort out of the spare room to find Danny's 3-6 months clothes, including a really posh fairtrade organic cotton babygro with matching blanket that my mum and her husband bought him. (It's from a company set up by my cousin's ex girlfriend). Just as well we found it, the sizings for this company seem really small, and he needs to start getting some wear out of it now. We've also found the swing chair he's inherited from my stepdad's wife's nephew (!).

Unfortunately dp and I then had another row, don't know what about but it got nasty. Finally we patched things up and then baby woke up every half hour all night, so I'm feeling rough.

okay though, that's enough of feeling sorry for myself, no more.
