Morning everyone
SOKL and CD, hope you had good birthday evenings
T had a good night tonight 9 until 7 with just one wake at 2 - unfortunately he didn't want to go back to sleep at 2 so I ended up on the sofa again
And I'm ill - sore throat and headache [pathetic smiley]

Happy birthday to CD and SOKL! I hope you both have lovely evenings!

Have the baby firmly stuck to me as she tries to consume magnificent amounts of milk - it must be a growth spurt or she has become addicted!

Going to unlatch and get the other 2 down - it is mummy time !

Back again! Bought a lovely summery dress from Monsoon & some baby bits for friends who are having / had babys from Mothercare. Monsoon has a FABTASTIC sale on all their children's clothes ....... sooooooooo much stuff I could've bought - drooling at the thought of it all - I was v.restrained though and just stuck with my bits & resisted the urge to spend all my Birthday tokens on my beautiful girlies. Went to Starbucks & had hot choc and lots of different cake: Carrot Passion, Choc Chip Cookies & Blueberry Cheesecake ...... YUM!! Doubt I'll even have space in my tum for Thai Cuisine tonight!!

Have a lovely evening out tonight Emmy - Can't remember anything else - brain completely useless.

Need to go & rescue DH - in the bath with v.v.v.v.v.grumpsome DD1 (& DD2 & 3 who are fine)......

Oh alright then, I´ll have a word with the weatherman and see what I can do...

GMM - didn´t receive the email?

SOKL, glad to hear you're having a nice time, impressed that you've restrained yourself from opening pressies and cards until this evening.

Happy birthday to CD and SOKL - hope you both have fab days and that you are made to feel special .

Maveta - perlease send us some of your weather. Typical, I get the summer off work and the weather is pants .

Had S weighed this morning - 12lb 9oz at 9.5 weeks old. She is just above the 75th percentile, so a little porker!

Off out tonight with the other mums from E's school - first proper night out since S was born. What's the betting I'll be curled up asleep under a table by 10pm?

Oops posted on other thread...

Okay, I'm searching for the message but not finding it and going crossed eyed scrolling up and down.. who said they had recipes for easy mix-n-go cakes/muffins? I would love any such recipes if you can email me? jennie dot douglas at gmail dot com

Bumble I loved Anzac biscuits when I was in Aus. I think I tried to make them once and they came out not dissimilar to brandy snaps Again, would love the recipe.

I make a yoghurt cake which is the easiest cake in the world to make - no weighing at all (yay!).

1 lemon yoghurt
1 yoghurt pot of veg oil (I know it sounds gross but just do it)
2 y.p of sugar (or less if you want)
3 y.p of plain flour
3 eggs
1.5 teaspoons baking powder

Tip yoghurt into bowl. Add oil and stir in. Add sugar and stir in. Add flour and egg alternately, bung in baking powder, pour into greased and floured bundt tin and bake at 180 for 40mins.

For the icing mix icing sugar with juice of a lemon to whatever consistency you like (the thicker the better!) and pour over. For added touch sprinkle flaked almonds all over.

YUM YUM! Off to try and make those muffins of lucewheel;s now..

Hiya!

Happy Birthday CD - sorry it is a bit late in the day!

Thanks everyone for their lovely birthday wishes.

GMM, pmsl at the window cleaners getting an eyeful! I bet you have the cleanest windows in Glasgow don't you??!!

Having a good day. As dh was working from home this am, we didn't set the alarm, and we all laid in until 8.00! K was the first one awake having slept for 12 hours!!!
Been out to lunch with dh, and going to pick up B and go to the park and then back here for cake and presents and cards. Haven't opened any yet!

Think K is under the weather again tho, as yukky nappies and very tired again. She seems happy enough tho when awake.

Need to run as off to collect B. Apologies for not mentioning everyone. Back later on. xx

Gmm at window cleaners! ILs very posh, pretty elderly neighbour got an eyeful on Sunday when he popped his head over the fence to say hello. He very quickly retreated muttering something about watering his greenhouse.

Have GMM and Katy given any more thought to meeting up in North East next week?

Danny's passport arrived this morning, just 8 days from when I finally put application in using Check and Send service. Quite relieved, as afterwards I realised that if application was wrong would have to take corrected or new form all the way back to East Finchley.

Hello!!!

Right I haven't been able to read all that I've missed - think I've got as far back as mid morning yesterday. I'm having a lovely holiday but may never catch up on Mn at this rate.

Happy Birthday - sokl and CD lovely mummies deserve lovely birthdays!

Bumble- for parents going back. I miss mine and they only live 100 miles away!

Maveta - good luck with the nappy venture. I can relate to your story about N flaking out after swimming. We took George for the first time today and he seemed to like it. He was in a swim seat and his expression veered from "this is fun" to "What are you doing to me?" and back the whole 30 mins he was in there. he's now been asleep for more tahn an hour.

V of the Leeds-based shenanigans. Damn holidays Hope Ellie, Matthew and Joe, Pinions, Louis and Theo, Nutty and Erin are all having a fab time.

KHIN much symapathy on the growth spurt thing. G has been terrible at sleeping the last couple of nights and has fed loads more than usual. I look almost as knackered and ropey as I did when he was newborn. Must be even worse with DTs. You should get a medal!

MN has finally got to me! I bought a mooncup yesterday. The jury's still out on whether I like it or not, but i feel like such a lentil-weaver even typing the word!

Sorry to anyone I've forgotten or overlooked. Hope all are well.

This is the second time in as many weeks that I hae flashed at them.. normally I wouldnt mind but they are the weaseliest, vilest cretins you have ever had the mis-fortune to meet!!! ok, rant over!!

No way Ooogs, this weather is staying RIGHT. HERE.! LOL. Actually today is quite overcast so I think someone has already swiped it..

Weeonion - reusables are pretty unheard of here, from the very informal ´surveys´ (i.e. asking people I know!) I´ve done so yeah, could be a whole untapped market. Only problem is, sales has never been one of my strong points and I feel like the local population could be a bit resistant. well we´ll see. Call me crazy but I feel like selling stuff might not be the best career choice for someone who´s crap at selling..

Re. pockets.. I have only used fuzzi bunz and I really like it, hasn´t contained a poo yet (3 times it´s leaked) but I think that is us not doing up the legs tight enough rather than a design flaw.. I have just received a wonderoo which I really want to love because it´s BTP so would be real value for money (and much more than fuzzis which are sized) so I´ll let you know how I get on with it. From what I can tell Wonderoo, Bumgenius, Fuzzis and Happy Heinys are the most popular.

mammyjo - stopped using pampers baby dry size 6 on tuesday night - always very went and very rarely leaked. Used pampers easy up pants last night size 6 and he and the bed were soaked. I changed so that he was no longer in nappies and could go to the toilet if he wanted to. Hoping it is just a one off

Oooggs, when ds was still wet at night I just had him in the pampers pull ups size 6. I think they are called easy up pants (or something like that). He was always soaking but they very rarely leaked.

Hello everyone! Havent been around for a few days as just generally busy.

We (Runny and I) have had our official first welsh meet up today! She came to my house this morning. Dh thought I was a bit mad to ask a total stranger to the house! Anyway, it was really lovely. Her little boy William is beautiful, and both the babies were well behaved!
Runny, I did make liaths marmalade cake and I forgot to even offer you a slice! Too much talking going on!

Hope everyone is well. Happy birthday to SOKL and CD. Hope you both have really lovely days and get thoroughly spoiled

Eddas, love the new name! I want a HP name too but cant think of anything with Jo in it. Cant wait for the book to be released next week. Not so desperately bothered to see the film straight away but I really want to know what happens with Harry and Voldemort (and Dumbledore for that matter - do you think he is really really dead?).

Have a good day everyone. Oh and what is a doidy cup as you all seem to be getting them and I dont know what they are?
