Then i collapsed into a sobbing wreck!! tonight, i am sitting with a glass of wine DD1 is watching Max and Ruby and eating a bowl of ice cream - much better

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 19:59

derlor · 05/07/2007 20:07

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 05/07/2007 20:10

I'm playing online bingo! I've won £20!

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 05/07/2007 20:11

I really am a pikey!

derlor · 05/07/2007 20:20

online Bingo???? you've got way too much time on your hands, you need another baby!!

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 20:22

Online bingo?!

Hi derlor! Thanks for keeping in touch, its been really lovely to hear from you and thanks for thinking of me. Am OK now

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 20:23

Its those extra tax credits holly ...

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 05/07/2007 20:25

I got free £10 without depositing anything, I've stopped now as I think you have to make a deposit to withdraw the money. It's a con! I got really excited about free money, but alas it was too good to be true!

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 20:28

my baby is way too big to be fidgiting like she is! She must be at least 9 pounds by now. DD was 9.6 at 10 days late. Her nails will be so long, feels like shes trying to claw her way out. OUCH!

derlor · 05/07/2007 20:32

Hey Holly, you buy from La Routadoot or whatever it's called don't you?
Are the sizes generally big or small i'm normally a 12 in a top but currently have boobs like Jordan i've seen a few tops i like and wonder whether i should maybe get 10-12 or 14-16? no size 12-14 unfortunalely

Foxy it's been a pleasure keeping in touch with you, thanks for the support x

derlor · 05/07/2007 20:34

Foxy scene from Alien has jumped into my head!!

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 20:35

WHY OH WHY OH WHY don't they do 12 - 14s anywhere?? M&S used to do knickers in 12 - 14, but stopped.

8-10, 12-14, 16 - 18. Whats wrong with that??

Tell me if I'm over-reacting!

riabutterflew · 05/07/2007 20:36

I don't know what pikey means.

Hi all, welcome catc, hello foxy!

Can't offer any advice re anything! What you need for crying babies is MY DAD who is happy to walk up and down for hours with LOs (it seems we were all such appaling babies he is well used to it. I believe he must be the original new age man!) He did exactly that with pootle tonight at his house while I brought DS2 home (tired out from being forced to go to playgroup) and put him to bed (they only live round the corner, honest, he's not in the next county or anything)

Guess what? My DH changed his first nappy today (I blame Gordon Ramsey...) He wa going to do the one this morning where pootle pooed right into the foot of his babygro! But obviously he changed his mind.

We have also had a lovely gift from the people he works for today, but I am still SO pissed off (last week he got a cut in wages for having only worked 3 days of his PL that week, yet this week he has to work 6 days - which will amount to somewhere between 50-70 hours - for no extra) and he was going to hand in his notice today, but now probably won't. I have begun to notice a pattern, they are bloody awful to him all week and then Saturday nights are all sweetness and light so he doesn't walk out and leave them up shit creek for Sunday lunch! Sorry, very boring subject, just gets to me and is the most likely thing to bring back my depressive tendencies.

derlor · 05/07/2007 20:38

Not over reacting, i agree, it's just lazy as far as i'm concerned.
Stupid feckers.
ALSO why can curvy, hour glass chick like me NEVER FIND DRESSES THAT FIT PROPERLY???? except wrap dresses - i love them.

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 05/07/2007 20:42

I've got some la redoute pjs in a 14-16 and they are big, I'm normally about a 14, so if you are normally a 12 I would go for 10-12. It is annoying, I would normally go for a 12-14 as well, though am prob nearer a 14-16 atm!

riabutterflew · 05/07/2007 20:45

12-14? What's that then?

Started S/W plan today - complete with increased healthy extras for breastfeeding and MASSIVE amounts of fruit and veg. Made it 'til 7.30pm then just HAD to have a biscuit (followed by another and another and then some crisps and bread... not to mention the glass of wine.) Now all I want is more wine and a takeaway...

What I really want is to stay thinner (if it can be called that at our sizes!) than my sister!

derlor · 05/07/2007 20:45

WOMEN ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BOOBS AND BUMS - WHEN WILL THEY LEARN????
Hi Ria,
pikey = neddy/scummy.
Ria and for you re DH.

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 20:48

Ria - for you and DH. Really fucking infact. Can't he get contract work over the summer to tide you over? Couldn't be any worse than how things are now surely?

Can't believe they did that. Shocking.

derlor · 05/07/2007 20:52

DS has just arrived home from his friend's house wearing only 1 sock cause he stood in dog pee in their house, (they have a puppy) - nice!!

riabutterflew · 05/07/2007 20:54

Thanks for that guys. It helps that I can moan on here - a lot! He was going to finish last weekend and do a temping job, but they were nice to him! Then he went back on Tuesday after a day off and got pised off again, so we did the notice letter (three fucking weeks he was going to give - why? He has NO contract to fulfill.) this morning and now they've been nice again. ARSE.

There is no wonder I drink so much. Will be glad of the break from all this stress when he's in hospital! I wouldn't mind but this is the worst job he's had for a while and the longest he's ever stayed (ok so it's only a few minutes away from home, but even so...)

HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!!!

Is it just me or is the bloke from Kaiser Chiefs getting a bit porky?

lilKelBel · 05/07/2007 20:55

Oh Ria your DH is a chef right? Man I dated a couple of them back when I lived in NYC and it's a nightmare job. I commend you for even sticking around this long

Derlor - fab article. Thank you. Discussed things with my DH and we're going back to goat's formula and will demand my Gp take us seriously if we still are concerned on Monday.

Does anyone else often feel like they've no idea what happened the past week? Like, when I think back, I honestly can't tell you whether things are better, or worse, or if I'm just imagining S's discomfort!! My brain has evaporated!!

BTW I highly recommend the wine and cake solution. To anything

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 20:55

that's nice!!

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 20:56

That was in response to Derlor and dog pee!!

foxybrown · 05/07/2007 20:58

Where does it say 3 weeks then Ria? Is it a casual job?

One week sounds reasonable. Is he owed any holiday or anything else?
