Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lilQuidditchKel · 14/07/2007 16:37

hello

(sorry i love potter...)

we still are sleepless here. except from 1 till 6....pm....

loonylovegood · 14/07/2007 16:40

Me too lilkel (it's holly btw!!)!! Potter rules ! Have you seen the movie yet?

(((hugs for daisy))) you are fab, remember that!

lilQuidditchKel · 14/07/2007 16:47

hey holly
no, not seen film yet

not been out with dh since dd came along...trouble locating bbsitter for 2...

loonylovegood · 14/07/2007 16:50

I can't go as I have no-one to go with (neither dp or any of my friends like HP ) and the part I ordered to make my breast pump work hasn't arrived yet, so I can't leave William yet. I really wanna see it, it looks good.

How are you and your los?

lilQuidditchKel · 14/07/2007 16:54

might have to wait till its on sky

ds = nightmare. tantrums at 16 mo?? why??

dd = sleepy in day, hungry at night keep trying a routine and so far not working

one was so much easier!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/07/2007 16:59

i am fab, i am fab, i am fab......

tired exxpressing but the milk bank of boo is as empty as an empty thing on the day it was emptied!

was hoping to be able to get enough for DH to do a night feed, but bumper has been advised on another thread that its not a good idea to miss feeds at night, as its during the night that supply is stimultaed by the baby (figures i suppose from our cave dwelling days...less predators around at night)

but the good news is that babyboo was only stirring earlier and has now been asleep for an hour and a quarter...so.....shhhhhhhh please

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/07/2007 17:00

holly, have you tried hand expressing??

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/07/2007 17:06

lilkel...it was explained to me that the "terrible twos" doesn't mean when they're two....it means in their second year.

Just wait till you hit the "troublesome threes" and the "fucking awful fours"

lilQuidditchKel · 14/07/2007 17:23

can't wait

he just pulled S's hair. as hard as he could. little devil.....and too small to understand any punishment. Or is he?

loonylovegood · 14/07/2007 17:24

I thought the tantrums dd had a 18 months were bad, but the ones she has been having since ds was born have been on a whole different level! I'm hoping it's just a phase and she will calm down once she gets used to all the attention not being on her. Maybe this is what is happening with your ds lilkel, hopefully he'll chill soon once he can play with his little sis!

I hate to say this daisy, but maybe you could give dd a bottle of formula once in a while. I did this with dd every so often if I didn't have enough milk or time to express and it never did my supply any harm. I used to go out every couple of weeks after dd was born and I really need to get into the groove again and be sociable, for my own sanity more than anything else!

lilQuidditchKel · 14/07/2007 17:29

but formula is evil!!!!

loonylovegood · 14/07/2007 17:33

Neeee naaaw!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/07/2007 17:37

lol lilkel...you haven't felt tempted to comment on this thread then?

I probably will do that holly, but maybe six weeks is a bit soon? I certainly don't want to do anything to jeopardise my supply at this stage in the game, although I realise that missing one feed probably isn't going to make that much difference if only done once or twice a week. I'm not planning a nightly occurrence after all.

If truth be told, after my disastrous attempt at feeding DS, I'm determined to the point of obsession about getting it right this time.

lilQuidditchKel · 14/07/2007 17:38

sorry gotta go - time to warm up the bottle

see we still have a sense of humour it can't be that bad can it? (don't ask me this at 3am tonight)

we need a new thread btw!

lilQuidditchKel · 14/07/2007 17:41

oh before I go - yes Daisy been lurking on that one and finally did post. It's just such a heated topic...

Now Daisy. Do stop being so hard on yourself. Give a bit of formula JUST once in a while. It's really ok! It's just for the purpose of giving yourself a short break as you say, not a regular thing. I have no doubt you have the willpower to avoid using more of it. Unless you want to. In which case, that is really ok too. I'm just trying to say it's not all-or-nothing, you really can use it just 1x a week if you want!!

loonylovegood · 14/07/2007 17:44

Just think in 10 months or so time we will have the first walkers of the group and we will be complaining about the little buggers getting everywhere! All the troubles we are having now will be a thing of the past!

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/07/2007 18:16

oooh holly, don't wish their babyhood away....

lilkel i must have missed your post on there...I'm off to see what you had to say.

what happens to big arguing threads like that when they get to 1000....does everyone just shake hands and walk away, never to mention again, or does someone start a new thread? that one looks like its going to run and run.

did anyone see the cortnie threads from the other day. a troll was upsetting people and the thread was pulled by mnhq.....much specualtion of whether or not it was a name changer. I had an inkling that i knew who it was, but its all disappeared into cyberspace.

babyboo still sleeping

foxybrown · 14/07/2007 18:21

hello

why can't i get any further than saying "hello"????

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/07/2007 18:22

For those of you interested in expressing and how much to express per feed...someone linked this, from Kellymom (sorry bumper, pinched it from your thread )

I love this place...all this stuff I'd never have known about....

foxybrown · 14/07/2007 18:23

why, since having DD2, have my feet ballooned? did any1 else have this? no probs with swelling during pg.

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/07/2007 18:47

the one handed typing gets easier......although i can only do it well with my right hand!

loonylovegood · 14/07/2007 18:53

I saw the cortnie thread, it was bloody hilarious!

I didn't mean to wish away their babyhood, I just meant that soon we will have different worries and concerns, it never ends!

Hello again foxy!

loonylovegood · 14/07/2007 18:54

I have worked out how to bf and type 2 handed! It is a v useful skill!

foxybrown · 14/07/2007 18:55

Yes I will! I texted the photo to Holly, have yet to put the pics on to the pc. Email me your mobile if you like! (warning: she's feeding in the pic!)

DCs are great - the pressies she brought them weren't really necessary, but they do love them. You should see Em in her 'Pink Ranger' costume! I'll try to put them on the pc later today and email you.

We slept for 2 hours this afternoon. She slept from midnight to 4.30 last night, fed and then gave me another 2 hours. I feel just fine. Milks not in yet,but plenty of colostrum.

Am using breast cups and Sputniks Aloe Vera tip, and so far, no damage. I do have the toe-curling latch-on, but I've always had that and will live with it for the time being. Can't be doing with fretting about that.

DP been fantastic, doing lots with the DCs. He even took DS2 on his school trip yesterday! Luckily my sis was around so I had the day with Em and Eve and she came over to hang out.

I had a hell of a lot of washing to do yesterday!

Oh, and I've done a poo!!! (sorry if TMI)

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/07/2007 18:56

bet you can't eat your tea at the same time as well though?

pimply spots all over dds face and behind her ears.....what this be then?
