The general rule is that whatever the school does at least 1/3 of the parents will hate it

Last year we went on holiday the last week of term and missed it completely. It was lovely

Yup MrFrizbe spent most of his time climbing with the kids (soft play), Issy wasn't feeling great so she wasn't happy all the time DS can climb waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too well. Oh, and I bumped into the childhood friend I met at easter too
