Hi Londoner

No snow as of yet, i have been waiting and watching, lol. Am going to head out before it does anyway, it is only 1 degree here brrrr. Diege your talk of museum has me thinking about going to the Natural History Museum, is only a bus ride into the city centre and a walk from there...hmmm...

Have a lovely day all whatever you're doing x

p.s BB - DS has developed a 'mommmeeeee' - have no idea from where and gives me orders 'mommmeeee close door, mommmeeee get milk' etc.. 'outside now' - lol

Rodeo · 03/01/2008 13:11

We've no snow yet but it's soooo chilly!
Have got to do a big shop, think we've run out of everything!
Diege, enjoy your day at the museum Something I couldn't attempt on my own. at your capability!!
You too Chacha if you go! And yes the horses had broken their fence down and the lane's quite narrow and windy, we could have been scraping horse carnage off the road!
Londoner/Beks, hope the school run went ok! Our's are back on Monday, better start looking for pump bags!
We should decide on a month, then narrow it down to a date What were you guys thinking? March/April? Meal & gossip & big sleep sounds lovely! I don't mind sharing hotel room of that makes things easier? If we come down in the day then we can meet up with the daytimers like Chacha (Brownie, could you come for the day?)
Better go, asda awaits x

No snow here yet either, though thibnk the n.west is possibly one of the few places NOT forcast (though the local paper says there's a 'chance' of snow showers . Hoping not here actually, as while dds are beyond excitement at the possibility, I shudder at the thought of getting up our 'hill' with buggy and dds slipping and sliding alongside!
Made it to the museum - just a bus ride and short walk so not especially scary - and all 3 enjoyed themselves (though L very scared and clingy, no doubt egged on by dd1 showing her the growling dinasour . Have just made flapjacks with dds, though they look very runny indeed, and may need some 'creative' rescuing by me in a minute!
Month then week then date sounds good to me (Good diagramtical mindmapping there Rodeo!). I'm happy to share a room - maybe we could get a 'henparty deal', one of those rooms that sleeps 6?!!. Yes, and if we come come up daytime we can see daytimers and nightimers too No-one will escape our arrival!!!
Right, must get dd3 up!!! diege xxx
ps: L has developed a very embarrasing habit of shouting 'Oh Gad!!!!!' (hmm, wonder where she gets that from), at every opportunity..nearly as embarrasing as dd1's reference today to the elderly as 'stales' on the bus today ; she certainly didn't get that from me

twinkle1 · 03/01/2008 15:45

Sounds great Diege, im happy to share a room but do snore a bit while pregnant a meal and chatting sounds great in fact any "me" time sounds great would feb or march suit anyone??????
Still not enough snow to sledge very frustrated kids!!! think it is too cold to snow at the min -3 and dropping brrrrrr
right im off, i want dh to watch the kids so i can go in the bath as my ribs are killing me with all the coughingI have had this cold since the week before christmas and still cannot get rid of it!!!!!
Im off to the hosp tommorow morning for my scan and to see the consultant I hope its not twins DH will have a melt down if it is!!!!

Diege · 03/01/2008 20:02

Oh TWINKLE sounds hectic - but at least you have dh with you! Crisps sound v.good, plus maybe some xmas chocs as emergency back-up? Can't wait to find out if it's twins Would you have another to even it out?

BTKsmum · 03/01/2008 20:41

Hi girls

Hope the scan goes well tomorrow and looking forward to the official twins announcement

With regards to the meet up I can save some of you some money on your trip to london as I can put up between 3 & four of you if you don't mind sharing a room and/or a sofa bed, no point in spending extra money if you don't need to is there. It's not exactly 5 more 2 with hot running water and noisy children

Right got to put T back in his bed for the 5th time - grr bye for now BTK

Diege · 03/01/2008 20:52

Yes please BEKS . Seriously, that is SO kind of you,and I'd definitely like to take you up on the offer . Having same waking thing with dds tonight , so know how you feel - it's so draining. Have had to resort to telling them that the police are at the door (then faking knock). How sad is that! L is quiet, but mattress arrived today so she's in the big bed tomorrow!!!!
Right, 'Cold Blood' on ITV!!!

ChaCha · 03/01/2008 21:27

ROFL at police at the door....love it!!!! Just thinking how it will be here when there are three at bedtime and they are older...nightmare i imagine? I am starting to worry about space at the moment, i am already feeling claustrophobic but know that we cannot afford anything bigger. We've got 3 bedrooms but downstairs is just a room, a smaller room and a kitchen, am dreaming of large conservatory, downstairs shower room and 2 massive rooms - must eat humble pie and count me blessings i think. Always get like this when PG - no wonder they call it 'nesting', tsk tsk.

Twinkle - pls post on return, am excited to know your scan news!!! Another 3 weeks for me - looking fwd to it so i can tell people and finally face the world.

Rodeo - Those horses had a lucky escape then!

Still LOL at police at door....snigger...hee heee!

twinkle1 · 03/01/2008 21:38

Diege are you mad!!!!!!!!! if its twins dh is off for chop
BTKSmum that would be great as long as you can cope with a mad pregnant womanthanks so much. Will let everyone know about the scan when i get home tommorow pm.
twinkle

BTKsmum · 03/01/2008 21:49

Excellent Diege, just need to work out dates now and as I'm only 20 mins from central london anything is possible.

Can't do the 4th March to 12th March as my folks are staying and it's B's b'day on the 8th so I'm expected to entertain his friends that weekend!!! It's also our 10th wedding anniverysary on the 16th but we are planning on celebrating while my parents are home to provide the free babysitting service

Dh is now sitting in T's room with him as I haven't got the patience tonight as full of cold and still have pink eye or should that be eyes

Chacha don't worry about space, you'll find a way and at least the boys can share if needs be or if no.3 is a girl and needs her own space. Who knows by the time they are old enough to worry about it you might be living somwewhere hot and exotic and the last thing they'll want to do is stay indoors.

Crack up at police at the door that would give B nightmares.

Right better go and look willing, got to make the bed and bedding is still in the tumble drier, laxy mare that I am BTk

BTKsmum · 03/01/2008 21:51

Twinkle mad pregnat woman won't be a problem I'll even introduce you to my even madder kiwi pregnant best friend and you can be mad togehter!

Diege · 04/01/2008 07:20

Morning Have to say I am very pleased with my regular posting ...all will change next week I'm sure when the daily grind starts again!
Well, the threat of police interview worked well . In my defence (m'Lord) dd2 had pressed '99' on the 'phone, then asked me what she had done, cue frantic 'argghhing' when I explained about '999', which soon led to the threat of a policewoman having to visit to have a chat (albeit with me!)It's amazing how creative we can be when the carrot of a few hours peace looks like it moight be taken away!
CHACHA - I wouldn't worry about the dynamics of 3/space etc. We have the same set-up and are going for 4!! Having said thhat we are\ trrying to move somewhere bigger, but that's for 4. I do think you fill the space you have, and being in quite a small place just meant we had to try and keep on top of the clutter a bit more (though usually fail I should say..)I think it's easy to foorget that no. 3 will add so much to the existing set-up - ie, it's not like they have to 'fit' as they bring so much more with them. I also felt it 'diluted' the intensity of the realtionship of dd1 &2, and calmed things down a little...anyway it's too late now
Great BEKS! Those dates are also out for me, as it's my anniversary and dh's birthday then too! I am actually coming to the big smoke on THursday 24th Jan for a work thing on the morning of 25th in Kensington, but I presume this will be far too early on for everyone? Just thinking aloud!
Right, best get this mess of a kitchen sorted! Can't wait for dh to get back so I can have some sort of lie-in (not that I just see him as a lie-in facilitator!).
One final question while I remember. Does anyone know/remember how long yoou should take those damn horse pills (ie. pregnacare) efore starting to ttc? Read somewhere 3 months, but can't see quite why it should be that long before the 'deed'

twinkle1 · 04/01/2008 07:41

urghhh early morning start and ms bad combination.Diege in an ideal world three months, but most start taking them when they find out they are pg so if you take them now and start trying next week its a bonus
Oh feel awful but im really excited about scan oh god hope its not twins.
right must go
Twinkle

Diege · 04/01/2008 08:09

Ooh good luck TWINKLE Will put pregnacare on shopping list Knowing my track record with ttc L though, I'll be on it this time next year! Relly looking forward too your news, twins, singelton, or more!!

Diege · 04/01/2008 08:10

'to' your news. Sorry, had to correct - a pet hate!

BTKsmum · 04/01/2008 12:40

If March is picked the date may clash with my dh going out with his pc gaming friends but I would be happy to host the evening at mine, we can do take away, drink wine and chat as planned and that way GG can bring her boys with her as I have enough room to put them up on airbeds and my boys would love to see hers - cor my house is sounding like the tardis

twinkle1 · 04/01/2008 13:38

Diege · 04/01/2008 13:45

OH...MY...GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . Bloody hell TWINKLE!!!!! I'm totally godsamked so can't imagine how you must be feeling! Bet it'll take a while to sink in, and for dh too, but imagine how sweet two babies will be!! And I can't think of many who are as capable of looking after twins as you are - you're a lovely mum .

Diege · 04/01/2008 13:46

So I presume dh is having his bits chopped off now?

twinkle1 · 04/01/2008 13:59

ChaCha · 04/01/2008 14:26

I am so excited for you!!! That is wonderful, wonderful news...oh i'm speechless. Twins!!!! He hee...

oh twins...

oh lovely...... all the hard work over at once...oh siblings will be so excited...ohhh....

BrownieBells · 04/01/2008 14:32

OMG Congratulations Twinkle guess it will take a while to sink in - Diege, wonder whether this is the start of anything, and whether this will be the twins year!? hadn't thought of getting the folic acid tabs yet, might leave it a couple of months then start ttc in earnest, dh will think all of his birthdays have come at once!

Will broach the subject of meet up with DH later, still not sure how it will go down, as am away in Ireland with Brownies in June, then on camp again in July, not to mention 2 days of licence training in Jan! A Brown Owl's life is a busy one hey!

Have finally managed to set our new pc up - it was not without a couple of hiccups, and have managed to get internet up and running, as you can see!

Right, off to try and tidy up, then grab a well earned rest with cup of tea and crunchie!
