Evening!
Firstly, just want to say how nice it is to be back with you all Love reading all your daily news, I've really really missed it!
Just watched the Billie Piper thing, I find her really watchable, heard her on a radio show and thought she came across as very nice and normal, never thought I'd admit to being a Billie fan!
Diege, like your resolutions, esp. the ttc one! , mine will be the usual.... stop the swearing, see the good in people, be a calmer better person, etc. etc. Oh and stop supporting Derby County, I am now a Aston Villa follower
Brownie, where have you been? Sounds nice
Twinkle, I'm with Diege, sure 5 isn't much different to 4. I would love it if you had twins! Chacha, that goes for you too
Since I've being back online a aol woman keeps shouting 'you have company' in a scary tone, she's really giving me the creeps, think I have my volume up too loud.... does she do that to any of you on aol? Does she have the same affect on you?! Right off to bed now. Night! x

ChaCha · 31/12/2007 09:32

Rodeo - LOL at 'you have company'! - Creepy!!!

Diege - Great resolutions, I never stick to mine maybe because they're over ambitious. I should stick to one that is somewhat realistic, dieting is not happening this year it seems! Has not been happening for the past three years come to think of it .

BB - How is T now? Hopefully will settle well at MILs. Cannot imagine ILs looking after my DC - you are lucky!

I can't believe it's only 9.30am, we've been awake since 7 and done loads...[yawn]

Diege - Slush puppy and twix...have been wanting for ages...this is problem when i cant drive, have to depend on DH who was too tired to go out last night..

What has everyone got planned for their NY Eve then? No doubt i will be in bed again lol. x

twinkle1 · 31/12/2007 09:36

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 31/12/2007 11:22

Morning everyone . Lol TWINKLE at Phil and Teds ski attachments! I'm sure NOVA would know if anyone does . MMM CHACHA am I right in guessing the slush puppy of chose would be the raspberry one? (blue)..mmm, could just eat a twix right now. Clothes are feeling a tad tight though, so need to start on my diet plans asap I think..RODEO, ooh no, no scary voice here...hmm, not sure I like the idea of the creepy voice Why the change to Aston Villa btw?? We have a little Derby County teddy somewhere, though can't think where it came from!!!BB massive sympathies on the sleep front, snap here...it's awful lying awake waiting for the next set of wailing to start isn't it . Fingers crossed,it's just a phase.
Hello to eveyone else - any plans for this evening? It's always beeen just another day to me, but I'm sure I'm in the minority!

twinkle1 · 31/12/2007 20:00

JINGLEbrownieBELLS · 31/12/2007 20:43

Hello all, Twinkle, enjoy the Monster Mucnh (thebeef ones are def the best!) and the Pot Noodle.
We are having a quiet night in, not even sure if we'll make it to midnight, but who knows!
Bought new pc today - so may be offline temporarily whilst get it all hooked up....but hopefully not!
Rodeo - went to stay at my Dads godsons house in Milford near Godalming - his was away for 2 weeks, and his parents (my dad's mate from his army days!) were house sitting and they invited us all down for a few days. It was fab.

Ok - 2007 is nearly over, and I too would like to say thanks to all of you girls for listening, being there, making me smile and laugh, and generally being such great friends....you are all truly special, each and every one of you - may you all get what you wish for in 2008.

My resolutions for 2008 are:

  1. to get more organised, and to attempt to de-clutter (have started tonight, by sorting my wardrobe!)
  2. to be positive, even when it seems hard
  3. to support Diege with the ttc , at some point during 2008
  4. to be the best I can.

Love to all.....

Brownie

Bekxmastreemum · 01/01/2008 02:19

Hi ladies

Happy New Year Everyone
Hope '08 brings you all you could ever wish for and more. I'd like to add my thanks to you too, for all the support, especially early '07, laughs and good times that we've had this year and since '05. Can you believe how quick it has gone.
Think it should be our new years resolution to arrange a meet up before Twinkle and Chacha get to far gone to travel or before Twinkle has 5 to take anywhere

Well have been to a friends party this evening, she called me at 5pm in a blind panic as her oven broke so we all ended up cooking the food for her. A nice time was had by all, but I ended up sitting in a corner with a sleeping T which wasn't much fun and dh was suffering really badly with his hernia so we were home by 12:30

T went straight to his bed and B stayed up and put his dad, then his grandparents and finally me to bed, after much play prevaricating like he normally does, then started to trundle off upstairs to his own room and suddenly realiaed there was no-one to put him to bed. Needless to say I hadn't actually gone to bed and before his worried call had left his mouth was behind him to take him to bed. We read stories and I layed up on his floor waiting for him to go to sleep and he finally dozed off at 1:50am

Am now sitting here sober, wide awake in the dark, listening to everyone snore [hmmm]

Hope you've all had a lovely evening and here's to more good times ahead of us all in '08 Cheers ladies Beks

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 01/01/2008 10:38

Happy New Year girls!!! . I'd like to echo what others have said in thanking everyone for your brilliant friendship over the past year(s). And yes, for great meet-ups with my subway buddy TWINKLE . A meet-up would be great BEKS - maybe sometime in the Spring? Sounds like you did well last night BEK - wow 12.30! We just slobbed out in front of the TV, though got the usual drunks/fireworks etc waking us up throughout the night!
Here's to a wonderful 2008 - I love everyone's resolutions - especially the ones about being more positive etc (oh and BB's ). Speak later!
diege x

Rodeo · 01/01/2008 22:38

Happy new year everybody
I've found inner peace, the secret is to finish everything you've started. This morning I looked around and saw the things I'd started....the Baileys, the vodka, some red wine, the ice cream and the valium. You have no idea how peaceful I feel now Hope you all have a happy safe and prosperous New Year!
Only joking, I am sober, just a text my dad sent me today
We had a quiet one too, fell asleep at 11.15 then thought I'd woken in an army firing range, but t'was fireworks! So missed the bongs from Big Ben but don't like it anyway (makes me a bit sad!) so didn't mind.
Today had a walk down the canal (if we'd have gone far enough we could have come to yours Diege!) was a bit hairy, why to toddlers seem to be drawn to the water's edge?! Another mum walked passed us as Jess tried to get to the water's edge again and said 'ooh, she's not going to behave is she?' LOL! She has got a definite naughty streak that's for sure. And I thought Joe was hardwork I'll have to get her into sport or drama (or the mines!) when she's older. It must be the curly hair...
Beks, hope dh feels better today and you got back to sleep I'm up for a meet up too, we'll have to get planning! Would be good without babies though, a night out in London Diege/Twinkle/L&S/Brownie?! Eh?!
Before all this ttc commences!
BTW Twinkle, Beef Monster Munch is always a good idea! x x x

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 02/01/2008 08:43

Morning! DH back at work today, and L at nursery too (hopefully, unless I got the day wrong in which case he'll be back anytime now with her!). Just me and dds1 &2 - feels like an empty house! I've taken a few days leave, so not back at work until Monday - bliss!!
OOh I did laugh at your post RODEO - you had me going there, esp. the valium! Yes, a baby-free meet-up would be brill'! Think I w2ould have to go it alone if a London meet-up is planned, as still having PTSD after that train journey with L . Ooh, maybe us from the North could stay over in hotel, so we can have a sort of mini-break? And the Londoners could show us all a good time in the big smoke? ...oh I'm definitely warming to my theme! Would be lovely to meet up again, and maybe see those I've never met! (CHACHA!!!).
Well, starting off for sure today with Slimming World. Really determined to lose a stone, as my love handles are starting to really splurge over, and are starting to itch in protest - I'll have bedsores soon! Seriosuly though, if I'm ttc come Spring, I don't want to be carrying an extra stone - so a good motivation!

diege · 02/01/2008 09:15

Just testing my name has changed back!

Diege · 02/01/2008 09:18

That's better!

twinkle1 · 02/01/2008 10:11

Good morning everyone,

Got any snow yet??????? We are forecast for today and tommorow hope it comes the kids are wanting to use sledges.
Im off out to my birthday meal and shopping with the family.so will catch up later
twinkle

ChaCha · 02/01/2008 10:43

Happy Birthday Twinkle
Hope you're feeling good today.

I've seen that snow is forecast over the next couple of days, do hope we get some, i'm a big kid, love the snow! Is a very dull day here, don't think i want to go anywhere, mind you, any excuse at the moment.

Diege - Is nice to know that DH has much confidence in me, refused driving lessons until 'baby is here' as am a hazard when pregnant and would cause major stress to both him and any driving instructor Now i am more determined than ever and am conspiring with dad to babysit while i take crash course - hoping of course that this is not literal or would never hear end of it.

Beks - Was smiling as i read your post, the sacrifices of a loving mother.

Rodeo - I thought you were going to get very philosophical on us...your dad has good sense of humour. Inner peace....ahhhhh.

Must apologies, there are NY cards sat here with stamps on!!!

ChaCha · 02/01/2008 10:44

LOL at must apologies, said that to myself in funny accent and starting laughing...
LOL did it again!!!! sorry...tee heee

Diege · 02/01/2008 10:47

Happy Birthday Twinkle!!!! Hope you have a lovely day and get spoiled rotten!! You deserve it
CHACHA - have you tried places like local leisure centres/play barns/bowling etc for the slush puppies? Make it a 'challenge' for dh .

BTKsmum · 02/01/2008 16:05

Happy Birthday Twinkle, hope you have a great day.

Excuse the name change, just felt it was about time I put T in there somewhere, will still probably refer tomyslef as Beks though!!!

Have just popped on for a catch up as supposed to be finding a home for all the new toys but can't be bothered.

B's most put out that it might snow tomorrow as he is back to school in the morning and will not be impressed if he can't play out in it.

Right must stop prevaricating, hi to all

BTKs

BTKsmum · 02/01/2008 16:06

tomyslef? to my self that was meant to be!!!

Rodeo · 02/01/2008 17:30

Evening!
Happy Birthday Twinkle! How was your meal?
Brrrr it's cold! My skin's all sore and itchy from being out in the cold all morning, nothing exciting, all horse related Well actually it was a bit exciting because a fireman called on to our yard to say he'd seen 2 'big horses in coats' trotting off down the lane. So off we set with headcollars and a feed bucket and found them in a farmers field about 5 minutes later. Managed to catch them, ring their owner and take them back to their field. They were very good and came quite calmly, though I bet they were thinking 'Huh, that's our adventure finished'!
Chacha LOL at me getting philosophical, you know that's not me! Can bearly spell it
Diege, glad you like the sound of baby-free jaunt We'll have to get the ball rolling soon! Nova might know of a celeb event we could go to [hint, hint]
Need to be off the comp before dp gets back, supposed to be sorting washing, but putting it off because tumble drier is in the sub-zero temperatures utility room!
Speak later x

OP posts:
ChaCha · 02/01/2008 18:40

Rodeo - sounds like an exciting morning, do the horses just sort of go walk about at times then? There's no danger is there? Well done on catching them - owners will have been pleased.

Beks - Awww..T will be pleased you thought of him Hope you are all doing well.

Diege - Hadn't thought of that, will make it a mission!

Would also like to meet up but i won't be able to do a night out on town i'm afraid - perhaps a fogies one can be arranged for daytime children included. Am happy to trek to someone's house/park/restaurant whatever...

DH not home till late, what a long day. Supposedly snow in the morning, i am so looking forward to that fresh sheet of snow you see on waking.

twinkle1 · 02/01/2008 19:13

Evening all,
Had a lovely meal and day out with family
Meet up with everyone sounds great, child free sounds even better.I would love a stay over, meal and show. Not sure im in any state for late night parties But would love to meet everyone.Me and Diege could meet up and get the train down together i should think?? JINGLEbrownieBELLS · 02/01/2008 21:14

Hello all...Twinkle - hope you had a fab birthday.

Meet up sounds fab, not sure if I can get a pass out for an overnight in London (use up many many passes for Brownies!?) but will see what I can do once dates are discussed.....
If anyone ever fancies coming to Stratford, you are all more than welcome.....Chacha, I think you are quite close in Oxford-ish.....if you fancy it?

I am off till next Tuesday - it's great! next 2 days are T free, as he is back at nursery....have got loads of stuff to do though!

Anyone else's los starting to get even more willful? T is displaying a lot of definite knowing of his own mind! NO MUMMY being shouted at the top of his voice! interesting times ahead methinks!

Right, off to trawl sales on internet, as am trying to find some pencil skirts, as they are fab for my body shape (apparently

Londoner · 02/01/2008 23:06

Hello all and Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday Twinkle, lol at the cravings, sounds v.familiar to me I have to say. Interesting about your great thirst, I had that with my 1st pg along with craving for cheesy wotsits, milk & yoghurt drinks..... I produced an extremely loooooong boy at the end of it and have never had a pg like it since. It was a very healthy pg with a very healthy outcome.
ChaCha, did you get that Twix in the end? Lol.
Beks at you on New Year's Eve, you were posting on here at @2 in the morning! LOL! Like your new name.
Rodeo, how exciting about the runaway horses!
Lol at J and her 'naughty curls'.
Diege, am with you on the muffin top .... keeping me nice and warm in this icy wind though.
Love to everyone else too, noooooooo it's back to school in the morning, no more 'lie ins' for me, drat!
x

Diege · 03/01/2008 08:12

Morning everyone . DH back to Gloucester with work until Fri night - boy do I miss the xmas holiday lie ins! L is offically back at nursery but I'm keeping her off with the other dds today and we're all heading to the museum in town. Have to say it's more down to my laziness! It's a good few miles down to nursery with all 3 dds, then same back up, plus return journey - easiest just to keep her at home I think (ask me in a few hours.. ). Hi to LONDONER and BB - enjoy your few days BB; have to admit I really look forward to days when I'm at homne and all 3 dds are in school/nursery. Take some time to relax as well as get things done! LONDONER - really good to hear from you - can't believe school starts this week for you lot!! At least it will feel like a short week!
Re: my pass out for London, if we can firm up a date pretty soon-ish I can put my application form in . Not sure I'd be up for a mad night out - more meal and gossip and good sleep I think!
Right, day 2 on SW - am determined to stick with the plan, not least so that I can get my jeans back on!
