March 2007 - can't keep up

Hi all -miss a few days due to nightmare things happening at home and I can't keep up now - so started a new thread. Perhaps thought we could remind each other when babes were born - I have lost track at who is the oldest etc.

Been busy here. Prac nanny is okay but hard work - feel like I can't totally relax in my own home etc. She is not sure how to deal with /take dd1 - making it hard. Dd1 had major meltdown after swimming the other day and then at hospital appt, then nanny took eyes from her for a second and she is finally found out on the footpath beside a major road and a sensible and lovely man brought her back. Unlike hospital volunteer who managed to stop dd1 taking a lift anywhere but when she could not get dd1 to hold her hand - she just left her It is clear the minute you speak to dd1 she has special needs FGS. poor nanny student was beside herself.

Saturday dh was gone all day on training exercise and dds only wanted daddy - long day. I managed to get out to a trivia night - MY TEAM WON - i found the questions very easy and answered most of them ( not bragging- just surprised my brain still functioned) I took dd3 - she would not go to sleep - come 11pm still wide awake and beyond over tired... got her home - to see dd2 in bed with dh cause she had an explosive puke that covered everything in her room. She was still up at 1am puking and I had dd3 still crying as she was exhausted.

so long rant - long few days - I am wrecked!!

dd3 - 12 weeks old.

so - who wants to have a meet up with me then [feeling left out emoticon]

Callie - glad to hear it went well for your aunt.

busy few days ahead - off to kindy this morning with dd1 and her birthday cup cakes. Party this afternoon - have baked the cake - just got to ice it now!! I know - i will take a pic for you to see.

tomorrow is her actual birthday so dh is taking the afternoon off and we are taking her out to lunch.

Prac nanny's last day today - she has improved out of sight. Much much better.

Dd3 has had a rough weekend - think something I ate upset her - she had the stinkiest farts - ones a grown man would be proud to own. Crying and wanting to feed or more appropriately chew on me nearly every hour. We had very little sleep BUT last night was much better.

hi everyone. I'm back hardly saw dh because he was working in his new takeaway from 3pm to 3am then sleeping til 1pm.

Journey was a nightmare really involving children being sick and thumping headaches but we made it and I'm glad we had a glimpse of him anyway...better than nothing. He's lost weight and looks ok.

I'll gradually catch up here!

Callieco · 31/07/2007 08:45

Thanks for messages.

Shanks, I was just thinking about you a few days ago, honest! I often wonder where people have got to but don't always say. Like Leo for example - now she really has gone missing. Guess life with twins is very demanding!

We are off camping for a night tonight - wish me luck!!! Am half dreading it, half looking forward. We only definitely decided to do it this am so lots of running around to do now, and I fear I may be getting a cold, but shall soldier bravely on . Muppet, it's near your old neck of the woods, at Bradford on Avon.

Hi Rosy, glad you saw your DH even if not much... he's just a workaholic isn't he?

Callieco · 31/07/2007 08:45

Oh yes, Eids, hope DD1's birthday is a blast. Good luck with the cake!

Mossy · 31/07/2007 09:34

Morning all, once again Bertie is "laughing" for "laughing" read "wailing" so only a few moments.

Shanks my lovely I think your presence is only missed if you disappear for more than a few weeks, or if you post constantly and then go off somewhere!! Doesn't mean you're not loved my dear!! {{{hugs}}} to you; we're not like your horrid Mums and Babies group you know!!

Eids happy birthday to your dd1!!

Callie good luck with the camping. Confession time; I have never been camping. All my childhood holidays were in static caravans either in Wales or the Isle of Man!!

Rosy glad you got to see your dh if only for a little while.

Right really do have to go and get Mr Waileypants!!

Oh Diva have texted you.

kittywits · 31/07/2007 10:07

Rosy, glad you managed to get a glimpse of your dh. I once mentioned to your that dp's brother runs a string of resturants in the north east and is forever working.
He even has cctv tv in his house to monitor what is going on in the resturants when he's not 'working' .

Shanks, course we love you (((hugs)))!!

Mossy, Ronnie is always laughing, laughing, laughing, laughing (arghhhhhh).
Are things better at home at all?

Happy birt§hday to your dd1 eids

Righht dd3 has hijacked the key board best go!!

eidsvold · 31/07/2007 10:19

well knackered eids popping in before having a cuppa and a choccy bikke in front of telly.

babies in bed, dh off out for the night.

party went well although dd1 seems to cope with a smaller group and when there is too many - she just hates the noise and gets over stimulated.

The children all had a blast.

the cake turned out okay but butter icing is not brilliant in this weather - will have to research an alternative.

BUT bummer - digital camera broken - went to take a pic of my masterpiece ( such that it was) and could not get camera to work. Thankfully have a non ditigal camera so raced to the shop on the way home from kindy to get a film and new battery.

The children loved their party bags. Prac nanny was a big help with setting up and keeping dd3 entertained.

She had a lovely day at kindy - I took in cup cakes and she handed out most of them to the other children.

This time she was excited to have me there - last year she lost the plot and had a bad day. They have a birthday bear that sings happy birthday and walks across the table for the birthday person. very cute.

Tomorrow is her actual birthday so she is off for her swimming lesson and then dh is taking the afternoon off and we are taking them out to lunch with family friends who are like another set of grandparents for them.

Then me - I will be pleased when the week is over

hope camping went well Callie.

We are off to the coast for a few days in a few weeks.

on the 7th floor.

last time dd2 had a ball watching container ships and cruise ships sailing by.

Sponge, when are you getting married? It's very soon isn't it? My sister gets married at the weekend and she is so hyper now!

I tried Hasan with some mashed up mango mixed with baby rice and milk but he wasn't interested. He just wants boobie milk for now

Kitty lol at the cctv. I won't mention that idea to dh! Poor Ronnie is he ok? Or just grumpy?

Callie happy camping. It is lovely when the weathers good. I've had too many soaking nights in wind ravaged tents to be bothered anymore and I stick to caravaning!

Am a bit miserable about dh at the moment. Oh well.

kittywits · 31/07/2007 18:51

Rosy I don't know what's wrong with him, well actually I do, there's nothing wrong. He just wants to be carried around ALL the time but only in one position, i.e. draped over my left arm and he won't sleep even when really knackered so he cries .
Still he's really enjoying his mushy food!!

Rosylily · 31/07/2007 19:08

hmm, well Hasan is a non crying baby but he grizzles and also insists on being carried around like a little koala. He is in Hasan heaven when I'm just pottering about with him on my hip....got big muscely arms then?

Hasan sleeps loads. He naps about three times a day, including a long 3/4 hour one and then sleeps from 9pm to 7am with numerous sleepy snacks in between.

Any time he cries it's because he is tired or I've banged him on something

kittywits · 31/07/2007 19:12

I haven't banged Ronnie yet, strangly. Now dd3 on the other hand.....!!!!!

divastrop · 01/08/2007 00:45

hellooooo.me slightly drunk as dp suggested we get my mum to watch the kids while we go for a meal/drink,seeing as we live in town anyway and could be home in 2 minutes if anybody woke up.

we had a lovely meal, and a few games of pool(just to humour dp and make him feel good as im shite at it)and a few drinks.it was great, our second date

dp's sister came round with her mate to see Elsie earlier.Elsie was fine having a cuddle for about 10 minutes then she started crying as she wanted to be put down!i'm sure boy babies are cuddlier and girls just like to be able to sit and people-watch.

rosy-you sound excited for your sister.oohh all these weddings.making me feel nervous

kiwibella · 01/08/2007 08:20

good on you Diva!!! Glad it was a great night... don't think that you should have come on here when you got in tho. I'm sure there were other things you could have been doing while you and dp were on that high .

Mossy · 01/08/2007 08:40

Eids, sorry to hear your digital camera broke, but otherwise sounds like you had an excellent day.

Diva - great night out, fantastic! If you're crap at pool we'll have to see if we can play a game in Blackpool!

Kitty, poor you, it is a right royal pita isn't it; Bertie too cries and screams when he is tired and does not want to sleep.

Rosy yes I wouldn't mention the CCTV he might think you are trying to give him ideas!!

Dh and I had another chat last night which achieved precisely nothing. I am feeling quite low about it at the moment, not helped by Bertie's constant "laughing" which means I'll have to sign off here and won't get to go on my other thread!!

DollyPopsOut · 01/08/2007 09:29

Just a quickie as I need to run to the new nursery - happy birthday to Eids DD1! And love to everyone else. I should have an hour or so to myself when I get back so can catch up properly then.

kittywits · 01/08/2007 09:31

Diva, well done for havibg a great night out. well done for having the energy!!! Are you hung over today ?

Mossy, you know I think you have to decide what you want, that is what your bottom line is and then stick to your guns. I really hope things get better fir you soon.

muppethasakitten · 01/08/2007 12:24

Happy camping Callie - am at my parents house at mo! Was in Bradford on Avon shopping this morning!!!

Off to northumberland at end of week for weeks hols! Can't wait... love it up there!

Love to everyone - mossy how are things at home?

LunarSea · 01/08/2007 12:28

Uh oh! Looks like it'll soon be time to babyproof the house. Toby's started getting up onto all fours - and IIRC from ds1 it didn't take long from that, to trying to crawl but going backwards, to proper crawling.

Not entirely a surprise as ds1 crawled (forwards) for the first time the day he was 5 months, and Toby's if anything a bit ahead of where ds1 was at the same age, but I'd hoped to get to after our holiday - still 3 weeks away - before we hit this stage.

Must go as MIL is coming round tonight so need to have a serious tidy up.

sazzybee · 01/08/2007 12:36

Hello! I had a dream last night that Elliot could turn over. How sad my life is

Just a quickie as I'm frantically getting ready to go on holiday tomorrow. Elliot whinges the moment I put him down which makes getting stuff organised very tricky. But I have a huge list so rush around doing things when he's napping. And yes rosy my left arm is like a shot-putter's!

I'm sure I'm going to forget something vital but I'm only going to Devon so it's not a total disaster if I do. Sure there must be shops there [London-centric emoticon]

I hope that the weather is good. And that all my plants don't die while I'm gone

Mossy · 01/08/2007 14:55

Well, I posted on my other thread.

Right now I could happily strangle "d" h.

Sazzy I hope you have a nice holiday! How long are you gone for?

Lunar Toby is so clever! Bertie can sit unsupported for a few seconds now if you sit him up, but there's no way he could sit himself up, or crawl, in a million years!!

Muppet enjoy your holiday too!

Kitty, what I want I think is for dh to be a different bloke, perhaps the type of bloke I thought he was.

Dolly hello

Right better go Bertie is starting to wail...

Rosylily · 01/08/2007 16:58

Muppet Northumberland is where my mum is from, I love it there too (and of course Hogworts is there )

Lunar that is amazing, Toby sounds like a little athlete!

I'm off to scotland tomorrow until sun for my sisters wedding, so I'm packing too.

divastrop · 01/08/2007 20:19

i forgot what hangovers were like.i only had 3 glasses of wine and a bacardi+coke and ive felt crap all day.

bella-we both went on computers last night as i have the decoraters in so we had to distract ourselves

my mum took ds and dd1 at 5.15pm,they will be on their way to london now.2 whole weeks, its going to be very strange.

mossy-i will go and have a look at your thread now.

Mossy · 01/08/2007 21:32

Ooh Rosy enjoy Scotland and the wedding!

Diva do you still want me to bring my wedding dress on our meet up or have you changed your mind about what you are wearing?

Sorry to hear you had a hangover!

Dh has gone to play squash so I'm having another rant about him on my thread. Going to go to bed in a minute though as Mr. Sucky-all-night will surely be awake again soon enough wanting me to plug him in!!

divastrop · 01/08/2007 21:46

mossy-i havent changed my mind, would you be able to bring the dress or is it too much of a pain?
also, how 'purple' is the purple?cos it looks quite blue in the picture on my pc,but looks different on dp's.

Mossy · 01/08/2007 21:49

Of course I can bring it! It is bluey-purple!
