Hi everyone. First steps wuzzle!? Now the fun realy starts. I dont think Edward will be long now . He absolutely hates being in a high chair or in his buggy for long. He wants so be free. Walks beautifuly along the sofa now too. Makes it look very easy
Congrats on your coming wedding babyducky. Oh I remember planning our wedding its so exciting. Good luck with it all.
Ive got my 20 weeks scan next Tuesday. We are going to find out the sex but were not telling any family. Only friends who have recently had lo's so they can pass their clothes on to me. Oh that didnt sound right did it? I mean theyve recently had dd's . Oh you know what I mean.....
Good luck with the job too Wuzzle
Any ideas on a birthday meet up anyone? Are we all up for the V&A museum again perhaps. That seemed very civilised. I went past there today. Took ds3 to see Bob The Builder again at the Science Museum. He realy enjoyed it again. As did Edward

wuzzlefraggle · 23/08/2007 10:20

gingeme - yeah i couldnt believe it!!! she was stood looking at me, and took 3 steps by herself and she didnt fall down either, she just stopped. and every since then, she is doing it more and more. i need a baby gate me thinks!!

i live too far away to come to the meet ups South Wales here

Rumpel · 23/08/2007 20:38

Hi All

GINGEME - exciting are you going to tell us? Please. please.Pretty please?

Wuzz - congrats on job.

Have not been on much as I am really busy. A had 1 hour in nursery yesterday she loved it. She has a full morning next Wed the full day after that. We went shopping after nursery yesterday and she was absolutely out of it by 6pm last night - wee soul.

She walked a few steps today - not on her own - I hold her but it is the first she has actually moved her feet and legs!

I have been very good since Monday and have lost 4.5 pounds so far - cannot believe it.

Taking Amber to the pool tomorrow - first time at the pool here but it massive compared to our last one and she adores the water.

Not long until I am TTC again - 7 weeks or so and a stone away! Of course I still need to get through Uni this semester too

Hope you are all doing great.

I can't believe you booked your wedding on tuesday Babyducky, we also went and booked ours at the registry office on tuesday! Ours is booked for 2nd August 2008 at 11.15am. We're gonna get Kai and Chelsea christened together after christmas to make life easier for us (and cheaper!)

I went for a scan on Tuesday and LO is definately a girl. My DP didn't believe it last time so he asked again. I'm glad it is as i've bought so much girls stuff!!

Haven't got msn yet but slowly getting things sorted. I only got Paypal on Ebay last night!

Good luck with your 'bust' weekend wuzzle

EffiePerine · 24/08/2007 11:11

Hello! Have been away without internet access for a while so lots to catch up on here.

Congrats on the weddings and scans and weight losses - it's all onwards and upwards here, isn't it? Please tell us about your scan Gingeme .

Oct meet-up sounds good, Weds best for me. V&A might be a good plan as easy to get to and a nice cafe.

W is whizzing about, walking if we hold his hands and generally getting into trouble . We've been at my parents for a few days and he has found every hazard in the house . Obsessed with telephones at the moment. Finally saying Mama as well as Daddy, dog, duck and atatatat (not sure what that one is!). Everyone says he's a real boy (not sure why they find that suprising). I think it's a bit of a shock for my mum after granddaughters!

gingeme · 24/08/2007 11:34

Welcome back Effieperin. 'A real boy' eh? Why was he a wooden one before. Sorry couldnt resist that one.
Weve recently bought a new home phone which weve hidden on our window sill. lo used to take the other one (cordless one) and eat it. Weve given it to him as a toy now its not in use and hes not in the least bit interested in it.
W sounds like hes doing well with his words. Edward waves bye bye now but apart from mum mum mum when hes tired he doesnt say too many recognisable words.

Gemmitygem · 26/08/2007 18:09

hi Ladies,

a quick dash in here as usual, but seems that Gingeme and others are all preg again?!! Well done you! I'm quite keen for a second but still blumming bf and yet to have a period..can't actually remember what a period is like

we're leaving Kazakhstan, thank God and moving to Amsterdam, DH has been offered a job there. So both of us have resigned and have 2 months to get everything organised.. I'm now looking for a job there too. have to learn Dutch...

little D can't walk yet but stands against things, still very happy and funny baby. honestly, I've had house guests that were more trouble. but it is still a big shock not being able to just pop out or go out for a drink without a major organisational planning session.

would love to come to a meet up and meet everyone after all this time and may even manage it if I'm back in Europe..

Rumpel · 26/08/2007 21:30

Hi All,

Kiansmam and babyducky - weddings are really exciting but hard to keep everyone happy and very tiring too! Are you wearing white puffy dress or what do you both fancy?
Did you see the teenage bride TV show - the gypsy girls dress was very theatrical!

I always said I would get married in purple velvet and I did. I designed the dress and cloak and got a fabby dressmaker to make it for me. Dyed ankle boots purple to match. We got married (in registry office)but took over a tiny castle in the Highlands all weekend and were very lucky to have a gorgeous weekend weather wise - it was fab. People still rave about it now. Tell us some details about yours. My bridesmaids wore green.

Gemmity - great news about Amsterdam - bet you are soooo HAPPY to be leaving Kazakstan (sp) You could always get a job in Amsterdam if you are desperate - tee hee Only joking. We went there for my hen weekend. I did nice things like visit the cat museum with my Mum. Went back the following year for my friends hen and it was WILD

GINGEME - LOL at the real boy. Has your DH had the snip yet? How are you coping with LOs and pg? Must be knackering.

Samsmam - any cravings? I had a packet of your favourites last night and when I have them I always think of you now. My diet was relaxed for the weekend.

well need to go to bed as Lo had me up half the night last night - sobbing her wee heart out. I think it may have been her teeth as she has been whinging for Scotland today and dribbling all over.

gingeme · 27/08/2007 08:58

Good morning ladies. Had a rough night with lo last night. Trouble is I didnt have a clue what was wrong. Tried rocking him, juice, medised and finaly a bottle which he only drank about 3 oz of. He seemed to be crying then settle for about 3 mins, so I thought 'ah back to bed with you' only for him to wake screaming again. Anyway he finaly settled about 3 am and is still in bed now
Great news on your move Gemmitygem. Hope it all goes well. Keep us posted.
I have my 20 week scan tommorrow afternoon and Im feeling excited as well as anxious.
lo reaches his arms up now and shouts when we do because we were playing football in doors with ds3 and kept cheering 'goal' so he does it now.And he waves bye bye now. So cute.
Wellds3 is finnishing his breakfast so Ill say ttfn.
Oh by the way Rumple no dh hasnt has his snip yet. Bit of a sore subject(no pun intended) as he hasnt heard anything from the hospital yet so I said he should ring to find out whats going on. But him being a typical man, bearing in mind hes going to be circumstised too, just keeps putting it off. What a wuss. What annoys me most.TMI alert. Is I am actualy up to some rumpy pumpy for the first time in 20 weeks and he doesnt want to in case he tears! Tight foreskin hence the circumstision. Bloody men
And on that note ds3 is shouting for help.

Rumpel · 27/08/2007 11:50

Morning All,

GINGEME - oooh! Tell him you will take the kitchen scissors to it if he does not get it sorted soon. Then he might have a small idea of what being given an episiotomy is like. Tee hee. I remember watching a circumsion on TV - I love medical docus. it is amazing how much skin they actually remove and how they do it.

had a terrible night with Lo too. Went in to kiss her night night and she woke up and screamed and screamed and could not get her to settle either. Calpol, cuddles, bottle etc. Ended up making a bed on the floor of the other room and cuddling her all night - she slept well but I am shattered. Scared of suffocating her with the duvet. She is sleeping now so I need to go and do things.

Hope you are all well and

GINGEME - I will be on here tomorrow to see if bean is pink or blue - oooh it is sooooo exciting! cannot believe you are 20 wks already

OP posts:
gingeme · 27/08/2007 11:57

Ill tell him youll be round with a blunt razor blade.
Seems our lo's are having a bit of a rough time of it at the mo. lo's sleeping now too. Can you tell by how much housework Im doing?(not).

babyducky · 27/08/2007 16:21

hi all,

thats good news about the move gemmitygem, hope it all goes well.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH cant wait to find out what colour your having gingeme!
What time is your scan?

We have had a few bad nights with Kai aswell, he just wont settle down at night anymore just keeps screaming & screaming if he cant see us, Dunno why, he has always been such a good sleeper. Maybe its more teeth coming, not sure.

Rumpel- sounds like you had a great wedding.
Am not exactly sure what kind of dress i want yet, something big, but not huge!
That one on that youngest bride show was massive!!!

We are having 4 bridesmaids,( 2 of my sisters, 1 of dps sisters & my best friend)
a flower girl(my niece) & Kai as pageboy! The girls are all wearing baby pink dresses & Kai, dp, my dad & the best man having pink waistcoats.
Thats as far as we've got with the organising!

gingeme · 27/08/2007 17:37

babyducky my scan is at 2.40. I just know tommorrow is going to drag. My step son is getting married next August and they are having 4 bridesmaids and weve dropped so many hints about them having a page boy. ds3 would be 4 by then and perfect for the job.
Whats going on with our little ones? Do you reckon theyre all telepathicaly contacting eachother and having a laugh at our expense!|
