Babyducky,

Ahhh, bless him. Has he got li'l legs then?

Hopefully the acupuncture will be ok. I keep joking to my DP that i'll be like a pin cushion when she's finished(lol)

babyducky · 08/08/2007 22:44

I'm not sure, think he must just be a bit of a funny shape!
He is on the 75th centile for height & the 23rd for weight!

kiansmum · 08/08/2007 23:05

Ahhh, what a sweetie!

Kai's on the 98th centile for both so he's in proportion, just big!!!

What did your Kai weigh at birth. Kai was 8lb 10ozs.

babyducky · 08/08/2007 23:07

he was 8.4

off to bed now, talk later.

princessllama · 09/08/2007 05:09

kiansmum she means that your baby's head is already well down in your pelvis. 3/5 means head more below pelvic rim than above. quite common for 4 th preg. can also not engage til last min for 4th though too. better go and get lo up for hol. she's going to be confused as its 5am!

gingeme · 09/08/2007 16:15

Afternoon ladies.
Wow your all busy ladies.
My big boys went home yesterday and its pretty quiet here without them.
Lo is biting everyone at the mo he bit ds3's new nursery teacher today while I was taking ds3 for a wee. I was so embaressed.
Only 3 more weeks till my 20 week scan. Its gone so fast. Bet I wont be saying that by 30 weeks when Im realy fat and fed up. Remember those days girls?
Re meet up anyone up for Wed 22nd or Thurs 23rd August? Thought we could do the cafe in the V&A museum again as the food was rather yummy there. Not sure what time though. Any good?

Rumpel · 10/08/2007 11:25

Hi All,

GINGEME - how do you manage with 4 rowdy boys and growing another LO and a DP? You must have the patience of a saint and the stamina of a horse!

Registered us all at the Docs yesterday, joined the library, visited Uni for a new student card and to pay my long overdue library fines. The we visited A's new nursery (I am hoping they have space for her as it was very cosy and nice). Then we checked out the local lesiure centre - great pool for Lo's and a creche. Poor LO was exhausted - everytime she was droppin off in the car she got pulled out again to visit somewhere else. We were both in bed at about 8pm last night!

Everyone thinks she is about 15 months as she is so tall. It is weird as I don't have nay experience so she is just my wee baby but everyone comments. She will probably end up being about 5'10" and I will be 'cos I always wanted to be that height - thank goodness for heels. All the lo's were fast asleep around the room in the nursery - it was very cute. Part of me is seperate for another and the other parts are saying Agg what if I feel like I did before with a LO to look after? I am still trying to plough through Uni, could I ciope with 2? Actually I'd like 3 if I am honest but we will just need to see what happens.

Anyway I am rambling again ..... sorry.
Hope everyone is in good spirits and all you pg ladies are growing well

Hi All,
Hope everyone's having a good day.

Rumpel, it sounds like yours was manic yesterday. No wonder you were in bed by 8pm.
I think you do really well to juggle LO and uni. What are you studying at uni?
When my tribe are older i want to do my nursing training. When DS1 was tiny i did my NVQ3 care so that's a step in the right direction.
Have you been as busy today?

Gingeme, how's the pg going? Hope all's ok.

Just think, lucky princessllama is in France on hols at the mo. Wish i was too!

My 2 eldest are off to their dads for the weekend so off to pack their bags. See you all later!x

gingeme · 10/08/2007 20:09

Rumple its pretty good most of the time. In fact now the bigger boys have gone home Im finding it a bit hard keeping an eye on the two little ones.
lo is real grumpy at the moment because of his teeth. Poor little love had bright red cheeks this afternoon after his nap. Doesnt change his apetite though he still eating loads.
The pregnancy is fine thanks kainsmum . Still feeling a little sick first thing and my boobs are killing but apart from that all is well. Counting down the days till my 20 week scan. Cant wait.
Re meet up cant do those dates we are going to house sit for my parents for a few days as they are off to Devon for a week.
Hope everyone else is well and enjoying the sunshine.

Rumpel · 11/08/2007 14:54

Hi All,

Kiansmum - I am studying for a BA teaching qualification in further education. I had my own business for 9 years but always wanted to teach so started lecturing a few years ago. I should have finished my BATQFE ages ago but I had a pregnancy (missed miscarriage at 11 weeks) before Amber and was terribly sick so had to withdraw from a few units, then was really sick with Amber too, so I have only completed a few units. It will take as long as it takes - luckily it is flexible. We are going to TTC again in October so I am just praying that I am okay with the next pg.

Decided the gym is too expensive as I really want to start back at my bellydancing and can't do everything so I am going to start skipping out the back door every day and started doing my ab work outs again last night. I WILL be a stone thinner by the middle of September, I WILL I WILL I WILL! Who invented cake anyway? Curses to them!

weather is pants here so I suppose I need to go and unpack more stuff - DH just arrived with FIL and a van of the rest of the boxes. DH will be back to stay tomorow for good, well until his work send him off again.

Have a great weekend all...

All sounds good Rumple especialy the ttc in October bit best of luck with that.
Justa quick note on the meet up front. I can do the 22nd and 23rd again. Going to my parents this week rather than next so anyone interested in meeting up? Ok of to have a bath now. So hot and sweaty these days.
Have a good weekend all xxx

EffiePerine · 12/08/2007 09:38

Gingeme: can't do that week as I'm at my parents. Early Sep better for me. Wednesdays best, or the weekend.

DS also biting and pulling hair - sigh. He's also climbing up on anything he can reach - warned my parents to babyproof the house. The last time they saw him he wasn't even crawling, so it will be a bit of a shock

gingeme · 12/08/2007 09:57

Have fun Effieperin at your parents. Ihope they spoil you and lo.
Im not planning anything that far in advance as i am waiting for ds3's tonsilectamy appt. Once Ive got that through I can make plans. I just hope it doesnt tie in with him starting nursery.
lo is busy eating my tv magazine at the moment so better go.
Take care xx

gingeme · 13/08/2007 10:16

Good morning ladies. Ive just come back from an unofficial appt with my mw. I had a bad fall yesterday. I was in my kitchen with a cup of coffee in my hand and the stair gate was closed. ds4 was holding on to the gate on the other side so I was leaning over the trying to get him to sit down so I could open it. The whole thing gave way and me and the coffee came crashing down on him. I got myself up as best I could and dh ran and got ds4 up who was screaming by this time. I ran him a cool bath and plonked him in which calmed him down a great deal. I sat on the loo and had a good cry. ds4 doesnt seemed to have suffered any ill effect from the fall thank goodness. Just a bump on the head. I then ran myself a bath and sat and contemplated how bad it could have been. Felt a few movements from bean but rang my mw anyway. She said come in this morning. I did. All is well. Heartbeat good and strong I have a massive bruise on my right knee and a very sore right shoulder. Felt a right prat I can tell ya
Well wont be doing that again I can tell ya....

samsmam · 13/08/2007 10:26

Oh no Gingeme- you try and rest must have been scary. My kitchen stair gate causes me problems when LO stands up holding on and I want to come through. N
Although I forgot to shut it last week and found LO had tipped a litre bottle of cooking oil on the floor and was sitting in it.

Is anyone doing anything big for their LO's first birthdays?

gingeme · 13/08/2007 10:42

Thanks samsam. Im going to my parents tommorrow for a few days so I might get some rest there hopefuly.
Dont know about lo's first birthday yet but I think we should try and have a meet up near the time for sure. See how weve all changed and compare stories and see whos mad enough to be doing it all again

samsmam · 13/08/2007 11:27

MAD is definitely the word for me. Especially the way I am feeling!

babyducky · 13/08/2007 11:49

hi all,

oh no gingeme, hope your ok. glad it went ok with mw though. x

I'm not sure what to do 4 lo's 1st birthday, think will just have few family round to ours, nothing big, its his christening a month before, we are having all the family there for that so think we'll just have a small birthday party.

What are you doing 4 your lo's samsmam?

dp went to football yesterday, got kai a new kit, he looks so cute in it.
I'm trying to work out how to put a pic on here to show you!

hope everyone else is ok, x

EffiePerine · 13/08/2007 12:04

Gingeme: nasty shock. Take care of yourself and try not to do it again. Our collective blood pressure can't take it

Hmm, will be spoilt at in-laws but prob running round like amad thing at my parents - their house is small and full of Stuff and little tables and basically things that say 'small child trap, insert fingers here'. DH has made me promise not to kill DS while I am away so I have to be very careful. And they don't do walking. And the nearest park is 30 mins away. And the back yard is full of concete. Sigh.

But my nieces are cmong over for a day and I haven't seen them in years (my sister lives on the south coast) so that will be v good . They can help with the DS watching.

kiansmum · 13/08/2007 13:16

Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a good weekend.

Gingeme, Glad to hear you and little bean are ok after your fall. Oh, and little man who you fell on.
What a nightmare. Those stairgates are lethal aren't they. They're great from stopping lo's from getting into rooms but end up causing us mums alot of damage when we fall over them!

Effieperine, Hope you have a good time at your parents.

Babyducky, I bet Kai looks great in his little footie kit. We got our Kai one and people always comment on how sweet he looks.
We'll probably do the same as you for Kai's 1st b'day. We'll have the family round for a little party. By then DD2 should be here as she's due Oct 2nd but they might induce me a week early again(fingers crossed).

Rumpel, Your uni course sounds good but hard work. Good luck with ttc. Everything should be fine. I too had 4 missed mcs before falling pg with Kai and now i'm pg with DC4! I just tell myself everything happens for a reason and this keeps me going.

Samsmam, Hope the pg is going ok. Have you decided yet whether to find out if the lo is a boy or girl?

Sorry if i've forgotten anyone and hope all is well. Have a good day.

taffy101 · 13/08/2007 20:58

OMG gingeme - glad everything is ok, so many accidents just waiting to happen aren't there. Must have been really scary for you all.

Nothing too exciting happening here. LO finally learnt to crawl - backwards - and he must be getting more teeth as he has one bright red cheek and a permanent string of dribble!

DH making noises about getting a puppy soon (our 14 year old dog died a couple of months ago), I am trying to delay it as life is just tooooo complicated atm.

effie i know what you mean about in-laws houses being child traps - my mums house is a complete nightmare as she and her dh are right hoarders and the house + garden are completely dangerous, I have kittens everytime i lose sight of the dcs! Not relaxing at all

gingeme · 13/08/2007 21:07

All ok taffy thanks. Though I have found another bruise on my hip. Quite a black one too. Told my Mum today. I thought she was crying at first. Silly woman.
If anyone was to check lo over they would think he was a battered child! We have ceramic tiles on our bathroom floor and on Saturday he decided to pull himself up on the loo, fell and hit the back of his head resulting in a bump, yesterdays accident resulting in a bump on top of his head and tonight while drying him on the floor on his mat in the bathroom he decided he wanted to escape, turned over and wacked his forehead on the corner of the bathroom door resulting in a black bruise on his forehead. Poor little fellow. Think Illl be getting him a crash helmet for his birthday
Oh well hopefuly well all have time to recover at my parents this week. Off tommorrow till Saturday so if I dont get to pop in this week take care all xxxx

babyducky · 14/08/2007 13:56
