Hello all

Just forwarded an email about Mils thought is was very funny!

Nutty glad you got an app with Doctor. Good to know it's baby blues. Keep looking after yourself and coming on here to vent and get support. I think it's always good to know others are feeling the same. Also know what you mean about phone phobia, I also hate talking on the phone...much prefer email and texts.

Welcome back Luce

Well done for doing the race for life Eddas.

Hello everyone else

Jake had his jabs today so glad I took Allen, I couldn't have managed it with two of them on my own. When the nurse did the 1st one he moved his arm and the needle went in and then scratched down his arm bless him...so he ended up having 3 stabs instead of 2

Bye for now xx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 11/06/2007 20:23

Hello - I quite strongly dislike my oldest DD's atm - they have been refusing point blank to go to bed for the last hour and a bit - messing around, screaming, laughing, running round the bedroom etc etc - DH & I both lost our rag a couple of times I am currently sat here with tissue in my ears, trying to ignore them. I think DD1 may have crashed, but DD2 is definitely still going - feeling very wound up and cross ..... Grrrrr! Neeeeeeeed to calm down......esp as DH has gone out now They are shouting for me - don't want to go in there cos it winds me and them up even more & I am scared of what I might do / say atm, tbh.

Feeling v."bad mummy" atm.

AngeG · 11/06/2007 20:25

No you're not a bad mummy

AngeG · 11/06/2007 20:30

Sorry pressed post before I was ready.

Sorry the girls are winding you up. Probably best to ignore them if you can (easier said than done)If you have to go in be straight to the point and leave again.

Sorry I can't be there to give you a big hug and go in there with my teachers voice and tell them what's what

Hope they settle down for you soon hun. xx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 11/06/2007 20:42

Thank you sweetie - Just what I needed to hear right now - would love that hug too! Virtual ones just don't quite cut it, iykwim!!? DD2 has been repeatedly kicking her feet against the side of her cot, Not sure if it is one or both of them, but desperately trying to ignore them. Feeling so wound up & ......

Sorry. Just seem to keep repeating myself.

LesleyR · 11/06/2007 20:49

Evening all

DH bathing George so I've got 5 mins to myself.

Eddas - well done on Race for Life. I'm doing the Newcastle one on 15th July. Went for my first (short) run/walk yesterday - was thinking about my friend who died in April. Thinking "If she is looking down on me she'll be laughing at how ridiculous I look"

Nutty - I hope the appt today made you feel better. Just echo what others say really about coming on here to get things off your chest. Down the line when you're feeling up to it we should try a Leeds meet-up, see if Pinions fancies it too.

Ange - lol at your mails today. Even though I get on pretty well with MIL.

George had his jabs and 6 week check today too(at 8 weeks 4 days). He was really hot and grizzly even before we went to doctor's. Doc was happy with him and as his allergy type symptoms had calmed down he didn't think it was much to worry about. He screamed with the second needle but was kind of warm and sleepy all afternoon. He's had some calpol and hopefully we'll have a reasonable night with him.

We go back to hospital for the followup to his UTI on Thursday. I don't know yet if he'll be having any tests on the day.We have to go on 26th for an isotope to be injected into him then later that day (after sitting round the hospital) they'll look at his kidneys. He also needs to have dye injected into him so that they can look at his bladder
(the dye goes in via the most obvious route). I don't have a problem with medical stuff but he seems so little to have all this done to him. Also DH has a pretty serious medical phobia (he had months of counselling to prepare for me giving birth) so I'll be doing the hospital stuff on my own.

Anyway he's grizzling now so I better go.

AngeG · 11/06/2007 20:50

It's not a problem hun...better you're on here, than getting more wound up being in and out of their room all the time

Keep chanting 'they will go to sleep'

LesleyR · 11/06/2007 20:51

Sorry Dippy took ages to type that last one, missed your messages.

Hope they settle down soon for you.

AngeG · 11/06/2007 20:54

Hi Lesley - hope it goes ok at the hospital on thursday. Be thinking of you...sorry you'll be on your own, could you not take a friend or family member with you instead?

Glad jabs went ok. Izzy was fine after hers last week.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/06/2007 20:55

Evening all.

Read everything and forgotten most of it - totally exhausted today.

Nutty, glad you got an appointment today hun. Hope you are feeling a bit brighter.

Eddas, I thought about you yesterday doing the Race for Life. Many Congratulations to you.

CD, sorry you are having a crap evening with your girls. It is a nightmare when they play up, especially at the end of the day when everyone is tired. Hugs to you petal.

Big wave to everyone else, as am brain-dead.

Have had a crap day really. K has been whingy all day. Seemed starving hungry all day too.

Dh is away tonight, so had the joy of getting them both sorted for bed. Thankully B was very good and sat downstairs watching The Jungle Book whilst I bathed and fed K. She then came up, got PJ's on, we read books and she was down by 8.00.

So, not too bad.

Not sure how long K will sleep - as I say she seems really off today. Feel rather edgy tbh.

The good news is though that my boss wants to pay me a bonus - HURRAH!!!! Unheard of in our Company.

Right, going to watch a bit of telly and then off to bed.

Hope everyone is ok. Think about you all lots. xx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 11/06/2007 21:00

Have called DH & asked him to come home.

AngeG · 11/06/2007 21:03

Oh babe I'm sorry...well done you for calling him though, better that than getting more stressed out. Hope they settle down for you. Lots of Love xx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 11/06/2007 21:05

Thank you .

AngeG · 11/06/2007 21:05

SOKL - Sorry you've had a crap day with K, hope she settles ok tonight and overnight.

Well done you for sorting out both girls for bed tonight. It really stresses me out with DH isn't here to help.

Fantastic news about your bonus

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/06/2007 21:11

Lesley, good luck for the hospital appt. on Thursday. They seem so small to have anything done to them don't they.

Ange, glad Jake was ok with his jabs. B has got her pre school jabs next Wednesday. She is such a drama queen that I know it will be hell on earth! Not that I am not sympathetic, as I personally hate needles, but she will milk it BIG TIME!!

WestCountryLass · 11/06/2007 21:11

I think today was one of the more challenging shall we say.

Car would not start this am, something to do with alternator (???) so had to call friend to give us lift to DSs school. Had to take carseats out of car and pull the seats forward to get the pushchair out the boot as the central locking wasn't working as the battery was flat. Got DS to school, went to a friends who did not have any windows open and had a dog....Could not go home as DSs school is 5 miles from my house and had no car!

Had to take DD and DS to pub with softplay for lunch which was fine, except DS cried the whole time. Went to Health Centre for homebirth group except got wrong Centre and could not get to the other one.

Had to walk about a mile and a half up a sttep hill to collect DS from school in baking sun pushing double buggy, carrying car seaT, nearly had a coronary. Thankfully a friend was collecting us from school which was huge relief as do not think I could have manged the bus with the 3 of them.

Also my Dad has been calling all day as my brothers partner has left him (my Dad lives with my brother) and my brother was on holiday and his partner moved out last night and did not leave a note or anything

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/06/2007 21:14

WCL, all I can say is bloody hell. What a day. As they say, things can only get better...

CD, glad your dh is coming back. Wish mine would, even tho the girls are tucked up in bed, I could do with a hug. He is away Thursday night as well.

AngeG · 11/06/2007 21:17

WCL - What a hell of a day Hope tomorrow is better for you xx

octo · 11/06/2007 21:44

Oh no WCL - what did you call you car the other day??!

CD - hope the girls settle - ernie having bit of a paddy - went out for walk with them all and didn't get back until 7.30 - he likes to be in bed for 7pm! - now screaming and dh has him - has been fed twice - so am staying well clear!!!

I am not getting any emails from you lot - my email is vickifinn at tiscali dot co dot uk - will send the homeopath stuff out to all when get a list!

My dh is having a mid life crisis! So I am cashing in...

new front garden
new kitchen
new cloakroom
new dining room furniture

and a Honda S2000 but not sure will get chance to drive it much

have just given him the boden catalogue to look for some shirts for himself .... and have circled what I want tee hee!!!

As you can see - he's in one heeellll of a crisis! But he says we can afford it so am going with it!!!!! Am a bit shocked tbh as he is normally a bit of a tight arse with money!

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 11/06/2007 21:49

All right for some. We haven't even got curtains.

AngeG · 11/06/2007 21:50

Octo I sent you an email today about list including an up to date email list. Will try again now...Did you get my MIL email??

AngeG · 11/06/2007 21:51

How are things now Dippy?

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 11/06/2007 21:51

Absolutely shit.

weeonion · 11/06/2007 21:53

oh dippy.{hugs} you sound so hacked off.

WestCountryLass · 11/06/2007 21:53

Better make the most of his crisis Octo Obviously being a tightarse is paying off if you can afford that lot now! Just make sure he doesn't start wearing your Boden purchases and wanting you to call him Hilary on a weekend

I am going to bed now, my legs actually feel wobby from the amount of hill walking I have done today...
