you choose - for you or for your bubba

I can't believe the May thread is so excited that their babies are arriving. That time in our lives seems like soooooo long ago .

morocco-schooltime would be better for me,ds1 never lets anyone get a word in edgeways,dd1 is a nosey gobs**e and ds2 is a loopy whirlwind that i cant control!

kitty-i am surviving half term only because ds2 has been at nursery in the afternoons and the older 2 have been going to the park every day to play with their mates.

dd2 is going through a clingy stage,i dont know if its because my mum came up and she remembered me going to hospital last time she was here,or if its just her age,but she gets all jealous if i cuddle ds2 and tries to push him off me.she doesnt have a problem with Elsie, though.

kittyhas6 · 01/06/2007 23:08

Diva, my boys go off and play in the village which is fab. Dd3 is starting to find her fists now, having been beaten mercilessly by dd2, she is now almost the same weight and is quite able to push her off a chair if she wants to. She is still very loving towards Ronnie, but feeds him stuff, today she was shoving butter in his mouth and all over his face, last week it was fromage frais. he seemed to quite like it !!!. Has Elsie been 'fed' yet?

Shrinkinglily · 01/06/2007 23:28

Hasan has been 'fed' too.

Is the mad spraying milk not the norm? Hasan gets his face showered quite often.

Dd was howling horribly for no reason that I could work out today so I was pretty much ignoring her and ds2 came to me with wobbly chin and asked me if I could go and hug her
So we both went and hugged her and she stopped for a while, howled a bit more then started singing her songs again

We don't have have term at the moment, just monday off, because the schools here all close at the end of June for 8 weeks.

Shrinkinglily · 01/06/2007 23:29

half term...half asleep, must go to bed....

divastrop · 01/06/2007 23:40

kitty-ds2 was eating a packet of mini choc hobnobs the other day and Elsie was on her playmat beside him.i turned around for one second to put something in the bin and when i turned back she had a hobnob in her mouth.she was sucking on it quite happily though.dd2 hasnt tried to feed her anything bad, shes more sensible than ds2 and just tries to give Elsie her bottle.

ds2 gave dd2 a bit of ham when she was 11 weeks old.she actually ate it as well, and was constipated for 2 days afterwards.

rosy-8 weeks? .is your dd ok now then?

Shrinkinglily · 02/06/2007 07:15

Hasan had chocolate on his face one day when ds2 had a chocolate biscuit but I don't know if any went in.
Yeah Diva we always have 2 months summer holiday here. Was the same when I was at school and hasn't changed. I like the long summer holiday though one of my friends always looks ten years older at the end of it and suddenly blossoms again when term starts

Dd does the horrible howling every now and then. Wanting attention I think, and she is disgusted when I ignore her...was making a sumptuous feast for dinner. Ds2 was more geniunely upset than she was! He got all wobbly lipped at Hasans Jabs too.

Fox I dreamt I went to the meet up and you were looking very sexy and slim in your size 14 jeans and no-one could understand my accent.

kittyhas6 · 02/06/2007 08:24

God shrinky, 2 months off, 2 months of no respite from children. it sounds like pure torture to me.
I find 6 weeks hard enough.
it's doing it on my own that I really hate. I find it so hard. Will you get some help?

Always going to the same places because I can't go to more interesting places because I have little ones all the time. This summer I'll hopefully have my cousin's daughter to help for a little while and by next year I'll have an aupair. Infact I have to get one to start for september.

Ronnie woke up again at 5.30 , coughing and unable to breathe 'cos of thick mucous. DD3 is pretty bad, as is dp. I felt crappy earlier in the week but just got on with it, as you do, coughing like an old hag .

looks like lovely weather again, don't know what to do with them today, I think they need a run around.

foxcub · 02/06/2007 09:26

Morning all

Mine need a run around too.

Am as I went to bed at 1am and really needed a lie in this morning. DD and DS1 usually wake me but this morning they haven't (still alseep now)as they stayed up late watching footie. But Monti - just would not go back to sleep after his 7.30am feed . I mean he always has a morning snooze

  • so I didn't get my lie in and feel crabby

Now he wants to play.....

He's shown no signs of roling yet but wants to grab things so I have dug out some rattles for him. He's lying on the bed yowling and when I go in he starts giggling

He hasn't been "fed" yet - well not that I've noticed

Mine really need a run today too - might take them to the River for a stroll and a run. There is a posh development there with landscaped gardens and the DCs love running up and down the manufactured little hills!

foxcub · 02/06/2007 09:27

ps kitty/diva/shrinky - I quite like hols but they are exhausting aren't they? You feel as though you can't get one minute to yourself!!

eidsvold · 02/06/2007 09:35

we have winter holidays in a few weeks and we are concentrating on toilet timing and charting with dd1 - so that will be a busy time. I have my prac nanny for the first week so am going to get her to think of some activities for the dds rather than stress my brain.

i have my prac nanny for two days a week and then two one week blocks - up until end of June. Starting next Thursday. not sure how she will go - very young and I was not too impressed at her chewing gum the whole time we were meeting for the first time.

Mossie · 02/06/2007 10:25

at your meet up!!

Trying 2 express w pump atm wish I had "oversupply"!

Morocco & Diva, Wigan? Or Blackpool perhaps? Diva are you on train / bus like me?

More later possibly gonna try to get more than a measly 20mls!!!

DollyPopsOut · 02/06/2007 10:50

many thanks to foxy for a lovely day yesterday.

Mossy, I am expressing too as i write. Am out 2x next week and so need a stash. DH has yet to brave giving DD2 a bottle, but I figure that that is his problem. There was an excellent thread about giving EBM started by mears which gave me confidence.

We have a quiet day planned. Need to get passport pictures done for DD2, make ratatouille for the freezer and wrte a couple of letters. We clearly livein the fast lane in this house! Might also take girls to park. Hope you all have a good day in the sunshine .

Thanks for rescuing the sock, foxy, but I lost the other one in transit so no worries about sending it back .

divastrop · 02/06/2007 12:19

hello ladies

mossy-blackpool is easier for me to get to than wigan.plus ive been there before plenty of times so i'd be less likely to get lost

i have to go to tesco but i think ill do a detour first to the nice play area or some4thing.im away with the fairies today,i cant get motivated and i have no idea what planet im on.

the prozacs working,then

better go and change the clothes of ds2 who is now covered in yoghurt and coffee.

foxcub · 02/06/2007 12:53

I'm away with the fairies without Prozac Diva

Got a new battery for the car this morning. Now DCs are filling the paddling pool. Sazzy I polished off that yummy cous cous for lunch

Am very of your Blackpool plan - I love the seaside!

Shrinkinglily · 02/06/2007 14:07

It's drizzling here. Shame the school fair was a bit of a wash out. Bought some plants. Am off to visit a friend this afternoon whose daughter loves babies

Kitty, holiday time is a blast for me, ds1 will be around and we are going all over the place too, will hardly be home...Cork, Scotland, Donegal I love it. My little ones are pre school anyway. dd starts p1 in september. Hope you get a nice au pair sorted.

Eidsvold I hope you can make use of your chewing gum nanny. She'll hopefully have loads of energy for the children.

I love Blackpool too!

foxcub · 02/06/2007 14:15

Shrinky - your making me want to visit Ireland again!!! I haven't been for over 10 years!!!

DH lived in Co Clare in 1989!

Its hot and sunny here - hopefully tomorrow will be sunny for everyone

NewMum24Gem · 02/06/2007 15:04

shanks313 · 02/06/2007 17:30

Hi everyone

Glad to hesr yu all had a nice meet up...so jealous that I missed out.

Its boiling here today and its making Deanna miserable.

Shes not rolling anywhere really yet but shes getting good at dropping her dummy then picking it up and putting it back in her mouth.I was amazed when she did it in town earlier.

We have a HV visit on Monday about the PND test which Im not looking forward to then its Deannas 2nd jabs on Tuesday...this time Im doing it all alone.

kittyhas6 · 02/06/2007 18:04

We spent the day at the beach today, the kids had a whale of a time, but dh spent the entire time 'resting' in the minibus as he feels ill, so I did it all on my own .

it's v, hot here I don't know what it'll be like tomorrow.

Rosy I guess it's a bit easier with you having ds1 to help out is it like having a second adult? When you travel who do you stay with and does your dh go with you at all?

Shanks are you worried that the 'are you depressed test' will show something? I must say that you alsways sound pretty chipper .

Diva, i'm on 1.5 ml of liquid prozac as a whole 20 mg tablet is too strong, makes me really spaced, gotta go !!

shanks313 · 02/06/2007 18:17

kitty- I dont think Im worried it will show something as I dont feel depressed. There was times during the pregnancy and during the early days of motherhood that I felt sad but I think that was because my DH was depressed about his job, sleep deprivation and losing a friend. Now Im happy with everything.
just worry about these things anyway,I hate going to the doctors....

foxcub · 02/06/2007 20:09

Hope it all goes well on Monday Shanks

Kitty - am very of your day at the seaside Your poor wee DP eh?

Hope evryone else enjoying the wetaher. Monti isn't enjoying it at all - won't nap during day and wants the boob constantly

foxcub · 02/06/2007 20:12

is it 'cos I is Ginger?

kittyhas6 · 02/06/2007 20:13

Well, I reckon I deserve a few ice cold beers after my stirling effort today
