you choose - for you or for your bubba

I can't believe the May thread is so excited that their babies are arriving. That time in our lives seems like soooooo long ago .

teething is a swear word in my house atmdd2 has been screaming blue murder most of the morning with hers, and Elsie has started chewing her fist.plus ive figured out that that was the problem with her feeding,as she is fine now ive got her softer teats.

2 in nappies i can cope with no problem.2 teething,no way.dd2 is nearly 18 months and only has 9 teeth.ds2 had a full set of 20 by 18 months

booboo etc-colds in babies are only really a problem in bronchiolitis season, which is november-febuary.i personally would rather Elsie gets loads of colds now so that her immune system has built up by the winter.i actually planned a march baby for that reason!shes already had about 5 colds and shes 12 weeks today.oh the joy of havning an older sibling at nursery

eidsvold · 01/06/2007 11:46

lilly - would have put them on dd1 if she could stand things on her head bu thanks anyway.

Booboobedoo · 01/06/2007 12:17

Well, I'm not at Foxy's. We were up half the night with LO coughing and spluttering, and are both exhausted.

But I'm happy because I just got the MN newsletter...

and I got Qoute of the Week!

Booboobedoo · 01/06/2007 12:18

Quote

Shrinkinglily · 01/06/2007 12:40

I didn't know there was a newsletter. What was your quote Booboo?

divastrop · 01/06/2007 12:49

oooh congrats booboo.i was pmsl at your post when i read that thread

divastrop · 01/06/2007 12:55

rosy-here about 5 posts on from the op,the post about jonny depp

Booboobedoo · 01/06/2007 13:03

I'll have to buy some big sunglasses & a Blackberry to fit in with the other slebs.

Booboobedoo · 01/06/2007 13:04

Mind you, I wasn't joking. That really is why I always wear makeup. I live in hope...

evenhope · 01/06/2007 13:07

DD rolled over yesterday!! Front to back. She was so pleased with herself (but wouldn't wait for me to set up the video camera)

Very of the meetup. Hope it goes well.

Shrinkinglily · 01/06/2007 13:16

Thanks Diva hee hee, good one Booboo

Evenhope wow, clever baby!

Piffle · 01/06/2007 14:19

hope the meetup is great fun

Eids what a -nightmare re the tree removal, hope the dd's calm down soon...

Dribbling for England here as well, lots of fish chomping as well...

No side effects from the jabs whatsoever, he is breaking the mould for my babies I tell you!

Boob that quote was fabulous I nearly wet myself the first time I read it, very very witty! I'm not quite at the stringing whole sentences together again yet, but I'm sure one day I wil again

Dp and I are on a no alcohol promise for 5 mths... Only on saturdays...
not so much for me as bf I only have one or two. But dp is seriously stacking on the weight (I've been eating ice cream to keep weight up and he's joined in and he was already a bit overweight)
So I'm dealt short on both counts
Never mind I'll just have the ice cream at lunchtime weekdays only

hope you all have the stuning weather that has arrived here today. Gorgeous so hot!

Piffle · 01/06/2007 14:19

FIST chomping, sheesh

foxcub · 01/06/2007 18:57

Piffle, you just called Boo "Boob" - freudian slip or what? Spot the BF mum!!

We had a fab meet up - delicious homemade cous cous, followed by chocolate cake and champagne. Life is good

Spooky to see other babies the same age - all with similar body language (lots of staring at hands and fist chomping).

Dolly/Sazzy - hope you got back OK. Dolly I think you left your DD1's sock (white with pink bits). If so, text me your address and I'll post it back to you. It was lovely to meet you both

Hope to meet some of the rest of you over the summer - specially Boo, Shanks and Theblonde as you are all within travelling distance.

Who sent the lovely text to me today, for us to have a drink and a lovely meet up??? It was so sweet but I couldn't work out who it was from!

spongecake · 01/06/2007 19:06

v of your meet up, sounded excellent

anyone in gloucestershire? feel a bit motivated now.

piffle, i am off drink as well, for the next two months!

LunarSea · 01/06/2007 19:37

spongecake - I'm not a million miles from Gloucestershire, just one county north in Warwickshire. And Amie is just over the river from me.

Shrinkinglily · 01/06/2007 21:46

Fox it was probably Kitty and where has Kitty got to? Glad you had a nice meet up ()I laughed at the looking at hands and fist chomping
Spongecake have you got a dress yet? or are you still looking?

foxcub · 01/06/2007 21:57

I take it there is lots of hand gazing and fist chomping going on on this thread?

Kitty has been barricaded in by six beasties, who have taken over her computer, led by mini beast Ronnie

morocco · 01/06/2007 21:58

gsh, foxy, sounds a nightmare drive, hope you are getting over the shock and car is ok

so northern lasses - what about our meet up???

dd is being a bit hit and miss with feeding this week - either she's full or she's got a bit of a cold. also i googled oversupply of milk and think that is one prob and why she is so wriggly and noisy when feeding, as an experiment today i expressed after feeding her from the same boob and managed to get 200 mils easily so that seems a bit excessive, also i get several letdowns in each feed which can be a sign apparently. poor dd - i am drowning her

foxcub · 01/06/2007 22:01

Morocco - what causes over supply? Is it due to expressing too much? I think that's what puts me off expressing actually, the thought of the milk kind of getting out of control

DH taking car in tomorrow for new battery. Please let it never break down again when I'm doing over 80 mph on motorway with DCs in back!!!!

divastrop · 01/06/2007 22:10

fox-you mean kitty doesnt shout 'NO!!I'M ON IT!!!' when her children request to use the pc?

glad the meet up went well, of champange though(i nearly typed ebay for the emoticon then,i wonder what that would look like).

morocco-i think its just you, mossy and me up north.would it be better during school time or in the holidays for you?

morocco · 01/06/2007 22:19

here's something about oversupplywww.breastfeedingbasics.com/html/oversupply.shtml
oooh - an exciting new way to do links!!
interestingly i already do loads of the stuff on there anyway. ikwym about the milk getting out of control lol!

meetup during school be ok for you diva? my 2 go to nursery mornings only but my mum could look after them, or we could meet up with the older ones as well, what would you prefer?
c'mon mossie!! let's meet up

foxcub · 01/06/2007 22:34

Morocco - 73% of Mums return to work when baby is 3 months old according to that www site!! The Uk has quite generous maternity allowances in comparison! Its really interestind and I love the story of the breastmilk showering the basket ball court!! I think I had over supply with DS1 - I was always engorged and kept getting blocked ducts and mastitis - that's why DD and DS2 have been on strict 3 hour feeding routines with no expressing, so as to keep my supply down. I know I should donate it [guilty]

Diva - That's quite polite. I usually shout "Go away" when DS1 tries to kick me off the computer. He is allowed 1 hour a day, but when I'm on it he stands behind me, saying "you've been on 56 minutes mummy" and commenting on MN posts!

kittyhas6 · 01/06/2007 22:41

hello all, sounds like you had a brill meet up, lovely weather.

Blimey, my brain's completely turned to jelly.

Can't think of words, brain's turned to mush, half term , blegh

foxcub · 01/06/2007 22:49
