you choose - for you or for your bubba

I can't believe the May thread is so excited that their babies are arriving. That time in our lives seems like soooooo long ago .

Hi

Sazzy - will text my details to you later on today

Mossy - I'm not bored by "latch chat"! I've had very sore nips for the last week, but strangely they seem to be healing. I was letting Monti slide off during feeds I think, so am holding him much frimer and closer now. Monti wouldn't BF at one point, but skin to skin helped and I hibernated with him for a couple of days. Good luck - don't feel about needing support. BF is like any other skill - there is loads to learn and we're all still learning as we go along. You'll probably meet some nice Mums there too anyway

Shrinky - yes my mini beast torturers have now become "my precious beautiful children" - of course I always think of them that way anyway!!

Right, off to shop to buy chocolate - only four more chocolate eating days to go before we give up you know!!!!

Must read the thread properley later to find out more about the budding authors!!!

eidsvold · 31/05/2007 13:00

mossy - find if I have a lot more water during the day - you know some days don't drink as much as you should - don't seem to feel as full - boob wise as those days when I have a lot to drink especially water.

dd3 gave me a lovebite on my boob early this morning - put her in bed to feed her and thought she had latched on then realised it felt funny - not the nipple - hence lovebite beside nipple!!

mossy - get that lanisoh onto your boobs - really helps with soreness.

Dd2 has been 'feeding' her baby again today - two or three times. She was in her room laying on her bed trying to feed her baby this afternoon!! I sometimes do that when I feel a bit knackered! as yet nothing in public though.

eidsvold · 31/05/2007 13:02

chocolate foxy - dh and I won a basket of $100 worth of chocolate and some sweets - mainly choc and we have been slowly working our way through it - terrible as I have great cravings for it all the time - so trying to ration myself. Be glad when it is all gone and not in my house tempting me, calling me

GOing to organise new program development appt at the gym in the nest week so I can get back to the gym and start losing this weight and toning up my overhang from 3 c-sections!!

Shrinkinglily · 31/05/2007 14:36

Eidsvold that happened to me with ds2 sucking the wrong place!

Mossy glad you are feeling a bit better, you would write a great book! do it! go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on.....I like the sci-fi idea- could be hilarious

Booboo i hope Jonny the cutie is better soon.

Mossie · 31/05/2007 17:08

Eids I have smothered my nips in Lansinoh, I tell ya I look a right state, wandering around the house in nowt but a pair of jogging bottoms, topless with huge huge floppy boobs dangling around with greasy lansinoh nips. But you're right it deffo does help!!

Shrinky when I get Bertie's latch sorted I'll start on the book there I go again with that dreadful word.... arrrgh!!!

Foxy I am hoping to meet lots of other mums, I have actually made friends with one of the ladies from the la leche group, she's really nice and her little lad only puts on a few oz a week too (some of the other ladies come in with babies the same age as Bertie and proudly proclaim how they have put on a pound in a week through bf and I feel really "arrgh what am I doing wrong?")

Although... I got him weighed today and this week, he has put on 8 oz! More than he's ever put on before. So all that exhausting pumping was in aid of something.

Exercise? Well... guess what I've ordered today from ebay?

A hula hoop! I'm gonna hoop my waist back into shape!

Piffle I forgot to say earlier than you for your kind offer, one day I may just take you up on it and land on your doorstep baby in tow!!

DollyPopsOut · 31/05/2007 18:49

How many are we tomorrow for chex foxy - me, foxy, sassy, shanks, not Kiwi as she's away, poss Boo, poss the blonde - anyone else?

Just so I know how much cake to bring . WIll start baking once DD1 is in bed and I have expressed a bit (not fo rthe baking you understand!)

Both DDs had BCG jabs today. Their poor arms! I needed a sticker afterwards for being brave .

foxcub · 31/05/2007 19:59

divastrop · 31/05/2007 20:15

TheBlonde · 31/05/2007 21:13

shanks313 · 31/05/2007 21:55

Foxcub and girls-Im sorry but Im going to have to duck out of tomorrows meet too.DH has been off sick with a stomach virus since yesterday and he needs me to run a few errands tomorrow.I wish I could come and have some fun with you all. Will have to try and make the next one

Apart from that Deannas great, giggling away and still sleeping well 9ish-6ish every night.

I have thr HV coming on Monday to do the PND thing....how bad is it? i hate things like that.

Shrinkinglily · 31/05/2007 21:59

Hey Diva, I was going to suggest Mossy call her book 'the latch' then I saw you got there first (spook)

Ooh I like olives! If I had been coming I would have brought a shedload of chocolate I shall be there in spirit tomorrow.

foxcub · 31/05/2007 22:20

Dolly/Sazzy - U still on?

Booboobedoo · 31/05/2007 22:20

DS has only just gone down. Lordy lordy. He finished his last nap at 3:30.

DH is out tonight, and DS decided he didn't need to sleep, and I wasn't allowed to put him down.

It's lucky he's so bloody cute.

Thanks for the kind wishes Rosy (do you mind still being called Rosy?). He's better in himself, but his little nose is all crusty and he's coughing quite a bit.

Mossy: you're doing so well persevering with the BFng. Jonny has never gained more than 8oz in a week.

Must go: DH has walked through the door with chocolate...

foxcub · 31/05/2007 22:22

Oh BTW Shanks that reminds me - Monti is getting all chubbified and has started grabbing his feet!!!

He hits 3 months on Tuesday so is spot on grabbing those feet. Will have to dig out his socks with bells on

foxcub · 31/05/2007 22:23

Chocolate? Who said Chocolate????

DollyPopsOut · 31/05/2007 22:35

Yes Foxy, DD and I are still on though the cakes are a bit burnt . They are chocolate cherry cupcakes though so not all bad. Have sampled one purely in interests of research .

So we are but 3 tomorrow, possibly 4 (come on Boo, you know you want to! Colds are an occupational hazard of mummying. It's sickness which I can't bear). That's quite a few cakes each....

I'll check the train times and let you know Foxy. If you'd rather wait for a bigger gathering, no worries at all of course. Text me and let me know.

Hope everyone is OK

Piffle · 31/05/2007 22:55

Mossy that's fab weight gain, well done Bertie, the bigger he gets the longer he cn last between feeds and the stronger he'll get = more efficient feeding. Has DP laid off a bit now about FF?

DD was a teeny little gainer and the stress kept me away from baby clinic as could not bear the disappointment of such little gain and all those other masive gains.
Sorry hardly been on, no time as dp off work.
Got dp to take Finn for his 8 wk check (he's 10 wks?) and jabs today - hate taking babies for jabs
Anyway he was fine and all smiles when he got home, had a little scream before bed with real tears so dealt him out a little calpol and he has slept ok since. Both others were dreadful afer theirs, dd had massive feeding blip, it seems nothing can fell this little lad though.
Went into mothercare nursing room at meadowhall when at PILs over the last few days and Finn was a bloody hulk compared to some of the gorgeous little babies there.

We've got a lot of hand staring going on atm... and he is looking like he is about to roll over at any point. He is also very adept at covering me in piddle...

No time to read all posts
ARRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH#
hope all is well and that fraught relationships are healing, babies are well and that no more M25 breakdowns occur poor Foxy

Piffle · 31/05/2007 22:55

eidsvold · 31/05/2007 22:59

eidsvold · 31/05/2007 23:00

Shrinkinglily · 01/06/2007 09:51

Eidsvold you poor things here

foxcub · 01/06/2007 10:02

Shrinky

Piffle - Finn sounds such a dream baby - big cuddly boy too - lovely

Dolly - yes I'm still on and hopefully sazzy is too. I might also invite my Italian friend with her 13 week old DD

It'll be lovely to meet you and the sun is out too!!

Boo - were you thinking of driving. Its v easy on S circular. I don't mind if Johny has a cold - the babies won't be playing with each other so should be OK

Shrinkinglily · 01/06/2007 10:34

Booboo call me what you like..anyway my shrinking name is totally fraudulant as I'm not shrinking at all (fume)
I hope you guys have a nice day today for your meet up

It's lovely here.

Hasan was dribbling yesterday and shoving his fist in his mouth! Looks suspiciously like teething to me!

LunarSea · 01/06/2007 10:37

Lots of drool here the last couple of days. Hope it's not what I think it is!
