you choose - for you or for your bubba

I can't believe the May thread is so excited that their babies are arriving. That time in our lives seems like soooooo long ago .

Spongecake get well soon! You poor thing.

Laidback hope you find something gorgeous in monsoon, it's likely...I love that shop especially at sale time! And I love accessorize -can get lost in there. Well done for going to the wedding too, I'm failing to make it to my friends wedding next week. Dh is in Pakistan and I couldn't face trying to go on my own.

Kiwi..good luck with the clearing out!

It will be great fun when some of you crazies...oops I mean ladies...start getting up the duff again

I have given up trying to express for now (am lazy)

Hasan is really smiley and sociable now and a total delight. I love this stage.

eidsvold · 25/05/2007 09:44

no hope of that for us - dd3 is the last!! dh is off for the snip soon. too old for any more.

eidsvold · 25/05/2007 09:45

especially as we would have to work hard to achieve our gap of 2 years 4 months again!!

muppethasakitten · 25/05/2007 10:29

rosy I feel bad because i forgot to ask how your dh's mother is? Is it the same problem again? Must be so hard to have a poorly relative in another country...

dolly lol at your industrial pump... I can only imagine what it must be like to do both sides at once Is it connected to a big steel vat in the corner?

laidback was smiling too at the idea of your "trendy" pump. Do you just look "fabulous" whilst using it?

piffle hope your dd is on the mend poor mite.

Very at the meet-up. Am looking forward to catching up with my own family in Devon but hate feeling left out of things!!

callie can't help you with period info although i'm pretty sure my sil bf her last one til almost 1 year old and didn't have a period til she completely stopped... and for the last 6 months of it she'd only been doing 1 or 2 feeds a day.

shanks glad you're feeling better too. Deanna is going to be well socialised! I've failed to do much with Samuel. He has to rely on my older children's mates to amuse him!

foxy may have to join you this evening in a few glasses of rose too! It's my fave summer drink!

muppethasakitten · 25/05/2007 10:29

forgot to ask Kitty when and where Ronnie will be making his screen debut?

and diva... are you still on the ads? They were making you feel weird weren't they? You seem better in your posts now.

Piffle · 25/05/2007 11:01

Wayhay dd on the mend, well if the bowl of Shreddie she ate is anything to go by...
Lots of green snot though YUK and of course dd woke up at the exact time crying and snotty and retching (with the phlegm) as I was in the middle of changing Finns mega up the back first morning nappy...
Unreal considering both had slept in til 9am.

Finn is also a sociable joy germ, he is truly heartwarming and amazingly good sleeper. He is up for 1hr in the morning, obligingly rubs his eyes when tired, yawns and when that happens I just plop him in the cot and he falls asleep gurgling happily.
I am so at what an easy baby he is.
No doubt he will be the threenager from hell...

Well dp has next week off, it's his birthday and we're going to stay at PIL avec kids for a day or two - adore my PIL and they live bang near Meadowhall so great antidote (expensive though) to my week stuck indoors.

Right must go and do washing, bloody rain!!!

kittyhas6 · 25/05/2007 11:11

Muppet, apparently the series- called 'home grown babies' (daft title ) starts on 4th June on living tv 2.

Dh watched the prog yesterday. I told him the actual birth scene was a real graphic close up. He said he'd start watching but wasn't sure whether he could stay and watch the actual birth .
He was in the room with me at the time but wasn't at the business end.
Anyway he did watch it and as I commented about the size of Ronnie's head his face was a picture, a kind of mixture of respect and horror !!!

kittyhas6 · 25/05/2007 11:12

Piffle, glad your dd is on the mend

muppethasakitten · 25/05/2007 11:16

Looking forward to watching it kitty!

Shrinkinglily · 25/05/2007 11:19

Muppet, dhs mother smoked the hooka all her life now she is frail and gets emphasima(sp?) But mainly she is becoming confused and forgets when she saw dh and calls for him all the time.
But if dh is going to have to go to Pakistan every two months...it's costing a fortune!
Just got rid of two Jehohavas witnesses, nice guys though am not interested, they thought I was a childminder
Arrived at Nursery this morning to discover it was closed
I've got washing to hang but I'm stuck here with a clingon.

kittyhas6 · 25/05/2007 11:22

Well, dd2 is atarting to be aware of wet nappies at night. Last night she had taken her nappy off because it was wet, gone back to sleep and then wet herself. so ca pmlete change oif bed linen, inluding duvet and pillow.

This morning dd3 had taken her nappy off in her cot, unfortunately she also had a very messy nappy..... oh joy. so another complete change of bed linen......

Shrinkinglily · 25/05/2007 11:24

Kitty it could be quite therapeutic I think...watching yourself give birth while not giving birth but relaxing with a glass of wine instead

kittyhas6 · 25/05/2007 11:30

Yeah, it was fine actually. I was worried that my memory of the birth 9which is a good one) wouldn't be the same as the reality. But it was. It's strange though as I don't have a prob at all with exposing my nethers to the world. I think Dp thinks it's a bit dodgy incase someone will get their kicks watching it. It wouldn't bother me if they did, iyswim.

It's just someone giving birth, that's the way I see it. There's no 'pixelating' either, which is good. I hate it when they do that, like there's something to be hidden. Better go and do some work.

divastrop · 25/05/2007 12:12

hello ladies.

muppet-i stopped taking the seroxat and went back on prozac.i have to start taking 2 a day from monday,as that is the recomended dose for PMT.i feel alot better in myself atm,i think my hormones are all over the place still which is why i so want af to arrive so i can start getting back to normal.

i think i need to write down how i feel atm,re the computer game(ie that i couldnt give a toss who dp is chatting to as i 100% believe and trust him that he would tell anybody who flirted with him to eff off,and he is so totally focused on his goal to be the best in the game he would nt notice anyway)and refer back to it when i start getting paranoid again!

Elsie is smiling and making 'ahgooo' 'geee' type noises most of the time now.bless.dd2 said 'baby sister' earlier.

kitty-ds2 is still in nappies at night.im not going to try to get him out of them till the baby is sleeping through.he sometimes wakes in the mornign with a dry nappy though,so i dont think it will be too difficult.do you find boys easier to potty train?dd1 was a nightmare, and she still wears those pj pants at night cos my many attempts at trying to get her dry in the night have all been disasters.

well,my mother, auntie(mums sis),uncle and grandmother are coming up tomorrow.my mum is staying for a few days and my auntie and uncle are taking my nan to york for the weekend.my nan is pretty bad now(she has lung cancer)and my mum said it will probably be the last time i see her.

piffle-glad your dd is feeling better.glad finn is being good for you, though you know my experience of angelic boy babies

Piffle · 25/05/2007 12:21

take back my previous post
DD has just been sick everywhere...
Hmm, she is still dead perky though...
Madness

kittyhas6 · 25/05/2007 12:25

Diva, so far my boys have been loads easier to potty train. The girls are a nightmare.
DD2 still wets herself once a day because she can't be bothered to go to the loo

Dd1 had a bad start with it all because she had 2 years of undiagnosed uit's which ended up with her spending 5 days in hospital when she was 4

kittyhas6 · 25/05/2007 12:27

Glad you're feeling so much more in control and settled now too . I feel so much better now, just pretty chilled. I know the difference between felling depressed and just feeling tired, cross and fed up and now I'm not depressed, hooray

divastrop · 25/05/2007 12:28

my dd1 still has the odd accident during the day when she has an infection, which she gets quite often.she had to have one of those isotope kidney scans when she was 4.the consultant concluded that she just has a short 'tube' (which is genetic, explains a few things) and is always going to be prone to infection and need to wee more often than normal.

foxcub · 25/05/2007 12:29

Hi - sorry I can't keep up with you lot!!!!

Had 4 glasses of rose in the end - turned on TV this morning to hear all about the dangers of drink for babies!!!

DH did school run today so I got to lie in. I told him its "walk to school week" so he walked to school - and literally made DD (age 3) walk over a mile up the hill to school!!! . She always goes in the buggy with me 'cos she's too small to walk that far. Which is precisely why I bought the Phil & Teds. Doh!!

Talk about taking it literally - she'll be knackered now!

Sponge where is your cyst? Sounds very painful

Diva - a moony eh?

I think periods can really vary in terms of when they return Callie. Mine always appear if I drop to about 4 feeds a day - it just varies.

Sex - wot's that????

foxcub · 25/05/2007 12:31

kitty - glad your ad's have kicked in

Diva - Monti and Elsie clear;y speak the same language don't they? aaawwwww

Piffle · 25/05/2007 12:33

Sex eeeks
Not much of that going on here maybe 3 x since Finns arrival
Dp being slightly martyrish about it, but in a nice non pressuring way

foxcub · 25/05/2007 12:38

3 times? That's three times more fun than my DH has had since Monti was born!!! LOL

kittyhas6 · 25/05/2007 12:50

That's three times more fun than I've had since I became pg [hhm]

kiwibella · 25/05/2007 13:04

muppet - me too!! I am upset at missing the opportunity to meet everyone at Foxy's but I am at missing out on all the frivolity too .

Piffle... shhhhhh, you wicked women. Kate is usually like Finn in the morning - not today though, she won't admit that it's way past her bedtime. I can't imagine this lot being teenagers (and us still here celebrating and commiserating their milestones .

Sorry to hear dd is back at it with the bugs.

Fox... the walking is good for your dd. It will make a peaceful day for you if she is exhausted!

aw, Diva - your dd is priceless pointing out her 'baby sister'.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine!!

OP posts:
muppethasakitten · 25/05/2007 13:07

Piffle - for your dd still... is she just bringing up her food now or has she got a temp with it?
Oh and thank you so much for the gel pads - they just arrived! Have popped them in my fridge in preparation for my next bout. It seems to rear it's head every 2 - 3 weeks with me

Samuel has gone for a sleep in his cot (unheard of before) and do you know what? I think i'm going to have a sit in the sunshine
