you choose - for you or for your bubba

I can't believe the May thread is so excited that their babies are arriving. That time in our lives seems like soooooo long ago .

morocco-will the meet up have to be during scholl term time or holiday time for you?i'd personally rather just bring Elsie along myself.

i hope mossie is ok she hasnt been on today.

i like the sound of baby-led weaning.far better than shovelling mush down them till they're about 10 months old

i was a bit upast over a thread earlier and dp said everybody takes this site to seriously etc.then he went and posted on here before.i wouldnt have minded if he'd posted on the thread that had p*d me off!!

i will get revenge..hehehe

DollyPopsOut · 23/05/2007 23:52

Just a quickie as need my sleep tongiht- Mossy has gone to her MIL for a few days for some TLC. She is fine and I had a text from her today. Have texted her back and will post when I hear from her.

Hope all have an OK night. XXXXX

Shrinkinglily · 24/05/2007 08:32

Cor, I'm getting behind on the chat again! It doesn't take long does it, what a bunch of chitter chatters
I've read the posts and now my mind is a blank except to say..
Boo boo -fantastic photo!
And more at the meet up.

kittyhas6 · 24/05/2007 09:59

in a min the camera woman is going to bring my new birth prog for a preview before it goes on tv. I'm very nervous. I wonder what part of my anatomy is going to horrify me this time and make me obsess about it for ever

kittyhas6 · 24/05/2007 10:00

Ronnie only woke up once last night, cool, but he doesn't sleep during the day, bollocks.

foxcub · 24/05/2007 10:55

Oh Kitty can't wait to see you on film again!! Ronnie entrance into the world!

Hi everyone - gotta go Monti is grumbling!

divastrop · 24/05/2007 10:55

dolly-thanks for letting us know about mossy.

kitty- i didnt know you had this one filmed also!what channel will it be on?

i sat reading that 'ticker' thread last night for about 2 hours and was PMSL.

kiwibella · 24/05/2007 11:07

woohoo Kitty! Hope that you are happy with what you see today. Do let us know where and when . Thanks for the update re Mossy, Dolly. I hope that she feels better after a couple of days TLC.

Is it possible for my milk supply to have dried up in one breast? For some time now, when I wake in the mornings, one is more engorged. I have been using the advice on Kellysmom to sort out what I thought was lopsided-ness ( is that a real word?!?) But today I have expressed some and I got barely anything out of one side. There was a few mls and then nothing . The other side flowed freely????

I have just fed Kate - she spent ages on the poor side. She was not content so I put her on the better side. Even after that she is still fists in her mouth... happy as larry though. I know I have probably affected my supply by expressing already but she'll be getting that lot later in the day.

Hope Mossy get some TLC.. wish my MIL was like hers.. Mine can be a bit of a nightmare.. we were away one weekend with them, to centre parcs, and Joe has his fist clamped most the time, so his nails get a little grubby when i can't get to them, she commented on this, so i explained the difficulties... Joe went for his first dip in the pool, and MIL held him for a bit after we'd dried him off and got him changed, and looked at his clean nails and said "amazing what a bit of water can do"

Kitty, that sounds exciting. My friend is wanting a Home birth with her first. Maybe I'll point her in the direction of your program!

foxcub · 24/05/2007 12:28

Amie - cheeky mare!!

Kiwi, This happened to me too a few weeks ago. Even if you can't express much milk, the baby can probably get more out. Do you always put the baby to the dry boob first, to build up your supply on that side?

Chocolatepenny · 24/05/2007 12:59

Found out only DH can give baby formula from the bottle, but made mistake of giving a BF after to settle him and what a fountain of Chunder that produced! he had to get changed and so did I.
Letting babes have a cry before going to sleep today, I hate doing it but it seems to be that or an hour of picking up and putting back down.
Thanks for BF advice think I will BF feed him at bedtime then wake him up for a formula feed by DH a bit later, Its all trail and error.

Piffle · 24/05/2007 13:00

Crikey so much to read, apologies as I have not a hope of reading it atm
Poor little dd still couch ridden with temp and cough, starting to eat a little no, vomiting only stopped yesterday morning. She looks really ill.Finn is being an angel, is due for 8wk check this arvo and vaccs...
Am tempted to cancel as really do not want to take dd out.

Hmmm

kiwibella · 24/05/2007 13:06

Fox, I am now . Thanks for the advice!

I'm off to Chelsea Flower show shortly - yipee!! And, we've just booked our tickets to Oz leaving Sunday . I'm going to spend the tube journey panicking about what I (suddenly) need .

OP posts:
foxcub · 24/05/2007 13:28

Piff - why don't you reschedule for next week?

foxcub · 24/05/2007 13:29

Choc - Monti is crying more atm - think the heat means he finds it difficult to sleep

Kiwi - you lucky thing going to Oz

Piffle · 24/05/2007 13:30

dp wants me to go so dd can be seen as well, I keep telling him she does not need a doctor though
Men!
I've not left the house for 4 days

muppethasakitten · 24/05/2007 13:52

Poor piffle - I agree with Foxy... if you don't think dd needs a gp then the last place she wants to be is a surgery waiting room - picking up other people's bugs.

Diva - that's a very romantic idea.... and shrinky and foxy will be wonderful bridesmaids!

Kiwi - who did you manage to book your flights with in the end?

kittyhas6 · 24/05/2007 14:05

Amie mil's can be so amusing can't they Ronnie also has dirty finger nails.

Birth prog was fine, got a real close up of actual birth. Fucking hell, that head is HUGE!!!!!!!
He had his hand under his chin when born so that meant he couldn't flex his head, so the widest part of his head was presenting [ouch], no wonder it really hurt this time, coupled with the fact his head is really big anyway.

I was so fat this preg thpugh, hadn't realised quite how lardy, looked like the huugy monster, huge body, little head

kiwi, brill about the tickets, bet you're really excited

foxcub · 24/05/2007 15:50

Huge body little head - eh? What's wrong with that?

Blimey Monti's on a real screamathon today trying to cope with the heat!!

Is anyone's elses LO having trouble trying to sleep in this heat?

Kitty - hope to see you and your chubby bits in glorious DVD one day

NewMum24Gem · 24/05/2007 15:57

corr i havnt managed to chat to you all properly yet.
DS has his 2nd jabs next thursday.
he got sunburnt on his arms yesterday...i felt ever so bad coz i didnt cream him up..he was in shade and not for long.
foxcub..ive had a little fan on in the bedroom to keep it cool he been sleeping ok though. he slept right in till 9.30am!!!

Piffle · 24/05/2007 16:08

kitty you're brave, no way would I want to see any of my kids emerging

I did reschedule but did then have to leg it to the supermarket as no food here at all..

Had to put dd in a trolley and Finn in one of those awful hard seats, lined it with about 50 muslins though tragic me huh!

I texted Mossy today to send her a hug I missed her other thread and feel so bad.
I really hope things settle for her soon.

Am insanely jealous of the Chelsea Flower Show Kiwi

LunarSea · 24/05/2007 16:19

kiwi - I have one side which flows freely (whether or not there's anything - Toby or pump - attached to it), and one which will never produce anything for the pump, but obviously does for Toby because you can actually hear the let-down.

AmieR · 24/05/2007 16:40

Piffle - I did my first supermarket shop with Joseph in one of those hard seats yesterday, they'd ran out of the trolleys where you can sit the car seat on. I wiped it clean and but his blanket under him too! LOL

LunarSea · 24/05/2007 16:45

I feel very lax now - I've used the hard seat ones right from the start, 'cos it's a pain trying to see past the baby with the ones where you put the car seat on top.

AmieR · 24/05/2007 16:58

Lunar - I find that too.. usually DH is with me and he's nice and tall so he has no probs. Not felt confident putting Joseph in one of the hard ones when he was so small.
