March 2007 - breakaway thread for lardy ladies

Thought I would start a separate thread for those of us on the March thread who are trying to lose weight etc so we can support each other without troubling the others with our food talk etc.

I'll start - have lost 8 1/2 lbs through Weightwatchers since DD2 born, with about another 2 stone to go.

Have done OK today, although I had 2 biscuits at a friend's house this morning. Not enough exercise either.

By the way, anyone from other months / years etc most welcome to join in

Let's see if we can help each other back to our former selves (or thinner in my case - my former self has ranged from a 12 to a large 16 over the years and I am aiming for the lower end again )

stretching not "stenching"!

kittywits · 02/07/2007 22:50

Haven't had a chance to do mine for a couple of days, I won't now 'till thursday. I only get a chance in the morning if both babies are asleep and I'm doing stuff with dd2 Tues and weds.
I'm so ruddy tired atm .

kittywits · 04/07/2007 22:30

I've had 2 glasses of red today, or is that three? Alcohol free last night. Felt hung over today, as usual . Too many children
How are you?

spongecake · 04/07/2007 22:35

are you having a party? can i join in? had sip of wine last night and felt sick

didn;t do callanetics. today, too busy so now feel v guilty. just stared at my naked body in the bathroom mirror, so had to have chocolate to cheer myself up

foxcub · 04/07/2007 22:37

sponge are you preggers - how can wie make you feel sick [genuinely confused]?

Kitty - same here - tea total last night, soo pissed tonight

kittywits · 04/07/2007 22:38

sick after a sip of wine , something amiss!!

spongecake · 04/07/2007 22:46

i don;t really drink anymore and it was a bit late. dp is working 70hrs a week, so he gets home vv late- it was a sweet dessrt wine as well...

TransfiguratingLily · 05/07/2007 08:34

my callanetics hasn't arrived yet. I 'won' it last thursday evening and thought i would have it by now
I have done no yogalates for a week I will try today, I am stressed but yogalates would help. I have a headache today. Drinking loads because I may just be dehydrated from all the feeding all night long

still managing to stay off chocolate. Eating okay I think. Weight not moving again.

Sponge any nice dresses???

TransfiguratingLily · 05/07/2007 13:07

ooh, my callanetics arrived and it looks even more hilarious than I remember!

foxcub · 05/07/2007 14:20

Sponge - stick to the dry white in future then eh?

Tranny - have you tried it yet? Took me two weeks before I dared

TransfiguratingLily · 05/07/2007 16:43

No, I'm scared....

divastrop · 05/07/2007 17:13

i had lost another 2lb before going to my mums, and i have managed not to put any on whilst there,so my total sofar is 11lbs,with 11lbs left to lose.

i was feeling quite pleased with myself, untill i had a conversation about wedding dresses with my mother.i showed her the dress online and said i didnt know what to do,wait till the last minute to get it or just get a size 12 next month.

atm i am a 12-14,and i know that if i lose another 7lbs i will easily be a size 12.but if i get down to my pre-preg weight, then i will probably be a size 10.this is why im not sure what to do re dresses.

so,after i say to my mum about getting the size 12 she says'what, and let it out?'cheeky cow.

so obviously i still look like i'm a size 16 or something

foxcub · 05/07/2007 17:19

Diva - how many weeks until your big day again? I suppose you could try and calculate how much you'd lose in that time, or go for a size 12 to be safe. Or maybe aim for size 10...

sorry I'm not much help am I?

TransfiguratingLily · 05/07/2007 17:39

Diva, check with Mossy. The dress might be made of stretchy fabric that clings to your femine curves. A friend of my sis got married in one of those dresses and she has size g boobies! And does it have a corset waist? You are going to look like Jessica Rabbit and I mean that in a good way

divastrop · 05/07/2007 20:49

aye,if i can find a bra that pushes them up and points them in the right direction

fox-i cant calculate my weight loss,it doesnt follow any pattern.after i had dd2,i went down to 11st and size 12-14 by the time she was 3 months old.then when she turned 16 weeks and i had my 2nd post-bith af,i lost about 7lb in a week, then gradually lost another 7lb over the next few weeks till she was 6 months.

then 2 weeks later i was pregnant again

kittywits · 05/07/2007 21:51

You know that peachy bum goes on about "The bottom line"?
Mine's hanging halfway down my thighs
jumped on the trampoline yesterday, thought my insides were going to fall out didn't wet myself though!!

TransfiguratingLily · 05/07/2007 23:06

Well done Kitty

Well I had a little go at callanetics. My copy is black and white which is possibly a good thing, oh that music and those leotards

Well I had a little go. Couldn't do much of it and then desperately felt the need to do a bit of familiar and gentle yogalates to recover from the callanetics..

So I'll have to build myself up to it. Phew s'gonna be tough....

muppethasakitten · 06/07/2007 10:29

Callanetics-free week - ooops

Must try harder next week - except painter will be here so can't exactly do it with him around can i?

foxcub · 06/07/2007 18:41

I've had that problem this week Muppet, so have had to do it late at night when my Polish chappies (as I like to call them - makes me feel all Lady of the manor) have gone - last night I had 2 beers and was feeling guilty so just did 5 mins of tummy excercises rather than nowt.

My whole body has changed. 4 months ago I was a bit fat size 16. Now I'm size 12 but look like an old lady who has lost too much weight too quickly!

spongecake · 06/07/2007 22:05

have found a couple of dresses and going back next week to try again. the woman in the shop said "most women loose weight before their wedding day" she sounded really doubtful

no exercises today, feel guilty but am v busy.. will do moro. am back to 32 F bust which is brilliant!

fox, your weightloss!
