Read most of new posts but will do some personals later/tomorrow. UD I hope to be able to come but it depends on which weekend we have plans on, forgot to write something down and I have a feeling it might be that weekend. Hopefully not but will get back to you

If we are not moving house then I will haul my cookies up there. Its Parliment Square isnt it?
I can get there from Victoria Stn easy peasy.

RGee · 01/05/2007 18:52

I am very and an evil mummy. I just cut Pippa's thumb with the nail clippers. She screamed and I cried....sob...there was blood everywhere...her blood...bad mum...sob...

Please give me lots of tea and sympathy whilst I go and read what you've all been up to today....

Lizzzombie · 01/05/2007 19:00

Poor you Rgee - & poor Pippa! x

Ok, Dylan has a very red inflamed right eye which is all weepy, and there is an odd rash leading up to his right temple.
He had it after his 3pm feed which was an SMA one, and then it went down when he had his nap. Then he woke up screaming at 6pm, had his BF feed and its come back up again really badly. He keeps rubbing it. He is not running a temperature, but he is much quieter than usual.
If he had just scratched it then the rash on his head wouldnt be there.
Could it be anything else? What do people think?

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 19:04

PMSL at you lot. I have some porn on my phone that a male friend bluetoothed me (without my knowledge). It has four 'ladies' on it. They start by pissing in one girls mouth, then they shit in her mouth and then they throw up in her mouth. It is SO rank I actually retched and retched the first time I saw it. Anyone want a look ?????

UD - I won't be coming as my boobs are closed for business

Nemo - thanks for asking the sleep question. Was wondering that myself. J sleeps 3 times a day (once between each feed) for 40 mins.

EAH - have text you. They sound like a wonderful preschool.

Hattie - PMSL at your poo story - it has definately been a day for it!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my tea time was great! DH working till 7.30pm so settled J, got my tea on, J just about nodding off after going up three times to settle him when smoke alarm starts going off right outside his room and I couldn't reach to switch it off. So I grab the feather duster and whack it until it falls of the ceiling and breaks , then resettle my now screaming LO, come back down to my yummy tea (Salmon fillet, jacket spud, salad and coleslaw), dish it up (mouth watering) walk through to lounge, trip and throw the entire thing on the floor. Just had Philidelphia on toast

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 19:05

RGee - been there done that. Don't worry mate but here's a cuddle and a little glass of port to sort you out. I also caught the inside of his nostril with my fingernail when fishing a bogey out and made him bleed

Lizz - could he have been bitten by an insect?

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 19:07

Lizz - also, (sorry to keep referring to J) but when he gets a weepy eye (i.e. if there has been a hair in it or grit) he gets a blotchy rash up his temple too. Also gets this when he has been crying.

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 19:07

Think I'll stop posting now...

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 19:23

awww poor Rgee (hugs) and I did the same to Ellie when she was 9 weeks old

Lizz possibly eye infection and rash is where he is rubbing it?

RGee · 01/05/2007 19:23

Lizz & Wilkie - ta for the sympathy. Feel much better now.
Lizz - Pippa had blotchy face and red eye after I mauled her with the nail clippers...Has he got something in his eye?

Really PMSL at all your poo stories, especially yours Hattie. They cheered me up no end. Good ol' Jan thread!! My poo story of the day is for once, Pippa actually waited until DH got home from work before doing her daily 'soft motions' so for once I didn't have to change pooey bum!

  1. Sell it as quality 'wholegrain mustard' (breastfed babes only)
  1. Emergency polyfiller

EAH - your preschool sounds really lovely. Am sure E will settle in in no time and forget mummy (sob). Loved LTH's suggestion.

2Happy - I have never been to one of these groups but your experience sums up how I imagine them. People are only like that to cover up their own insecurities. Grr...

Canmummy - hello and welcome Have we scared you off yet? Hope you had a lovely day (well, except the housework bit).

I had a nice day until I hacked off my DD thumb (I've told you a million times not to exaggerate....). But there were no ducklings in the park. When are baby ducks and cygnets born?

LadyTophamHatt · 01/05/2007 19:31

Rgee, if it makes you feel any better its taken me until I'm a mother of 4 to learn how to cut finger nails WITHOUT chopping the end of their finger off.

Ds4 is the only one I haven't done it too.

I feel quite proud of that fact.

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 19:44

thanks for all your sympathy re preschool made me feel much better (and Lth thanks for suggestion re leavinh ersomething of mine I have got an old small purse and expired credit card may give her that as she thinks I need that purse/card to go shopping and it has a small picture of me and Chris in it so that may help!)

canmummy · 01/05/2007 20:54

Hi I'm still here! You've not scared me off just yet
RGee I'm such a chicken I've not even cut my lo's nails yet although they're getting a bit long and she keeps scratching herself.
I tell you what though, my lo usually does a poo only every 2-3 days, was starting to get worried about it but after being on here she has done 5 poos today! She even managed to wee at one point while I was carrying her and it escaped out the side of her nappy and landed right on my foot. Took me a while to realise what had happened
Nemo I seem to have a baby that sleeps most of the day. A typical day today has been wake 7am, nap from 8.30-9.30, back to sleep from 11-1, again from 2-3.30 and again 4.30-6. In fact had to wake her up at 6 so she could have a bath and get ready for bed. Don't worry my other 2 were nothing like this and barely slept so I'm making the most of it.
Waffled on for a bit there sorry!

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 21:01

Canmummy - what does your LO sleep like at night?

canmummy · 01/05/2007 21:06

She went down at 8 and she'll sleep until about 4-6 am for a feed which I don't think is bad?

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 21:07

.......

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 21:07

Don't think we can be friends

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 21:11

Things to do with poo:

Use it to stain wood doorframes. Shade 'mustard'

becks5109 · 01/05/2007 21:18

continuing on the poo theme! my little one was only going once a week despie being bf'd so went to the dr's yesterday and he gave me a prescription and told me 2 doses a day till he's going every day. Well today in baby cinema during a quiet bit he let rip so took him off to the toilet where there is no changing mat and its tiny and it had gone everywhere - socks, trousers up the back the lot!

how do you all fine time to post so many messages! think i must be incompetent mother as never have time to do anything! I have a mound of washing to do and only have a clean house as we have a cleaner and for some lucky reason hubby has become obsessive tidyier upper!

have been looking a your member pictures and there are some gorgeous little ones out there!

is anyone else broody - i seem to be broody the whole time despite being sleep deprived and despite promising hubby we would only have 2 children which we now have!

"THREAD CHALLENGE TO GET ONTO THE HOME PAGE"
101 things to do with your LO's poo!

  1. Lob it out the window at the idiots who rev up their engines outside at 3am
  2. Sell it on a foreign ebay to people as a facepack?
  3. Sell it as quality 'wholegrain mustard' (breastfed babes only)
  4. Emergency polyfiller
  5. Use it to stain wood doorframes. Shade 'mustard' - does exactly what it says on the tin
canmummy · 01/05/2007 21:27

Wilkie - I felt guilty telling you about the amount of sleep she has! When I had my 1st she slept for max 30 mins at a time and I thought anyone who said they had babies who slept for hours were obviously liars ha ha!It also took 8 months for my 2nd to sleep through the night. Feel like I deserve dd3 after the last 2!

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 21:34

canmummy - at dd3 being so well behaved (she obviously read the baby book whilst in your tummy!) my dd2 is actually very well behaved contented thing but thats because dd1 takes up so much time!

Best not to mention night sleeping to wilkie have told her she'll be moaning when he WONT get out of the bed and a moody teenager

Hvae you set a profile yet with pictures?

canmummy · 01/05/2007 21:36

No it'll probably take me hours to work out how to do it but I might have a go?
