Jabs were horrible today Hattie screamed for every one (3 seperate jabs on the 16 week set) and just looked at me as if to say rescue me! Shes settled at 12.50 and fast asleep on the furry throw clutching her muslin

I walked there and back and Ellie fell asleep on the way home but it was hard work pushing both of them (3stone in weight between them) and it was uphill

Ellie been 'helping' me do veg for dinner whilst Hattie asleep. Shes washed all the carrots and broccoli and put the mushrooms in with the meat (we are having braised beef thats been in the slow cooker since 11am and the smell is wafting through the house). Shes very proud as she has got her 'mummys little helper' apron on and we have made dumplings to cook with meat later on, I am so looking forward to my dinner tonight

Lizzzombie · 30/04/2007 16:36

EAH - you poor thing jabs sounded awful for you. (& her!) Our 2nd lot was cancelled last week, didnt find that out until I had physched (?!) myself up for them and got to the Drs. We have them on Wednesday instead now.
Nice to hear you have trained Ellie to help around the house already! Thats what we have kids for right? Can she do the washing up yet too?
Did anyone see Wife Swap last night? Some people are such freaks!

Lizzzombie · 30/04/2007 16:37

ps - I'm baking flapjack today and the smell is filling the whole flat, its lush!

Lizzzombie · 30/04/2007 16:38

(waft emotion!)

hattie2 · 30/04/2007 16:52

Smells great Lizzz pass a slice over here will you?

You made the Lemon drizzle as well, didn't you? I'm very of anyone who makes the effort to bake. The best we ever manage is Dora the Explorer cake mix, all you need to do is add an egg

theUrbanDryad · 30/04/2007 18:30

hi everyone (welcome to the newbies!!)

well dh got home from IL's on Friday about 8pm...the funeral had gone as well as it could've done, he read a poem and helped to carry the coffin. think he was sad, but his godfather wasn't a young man, and was totally out of his time. he had travelled around Iraq and the middle east for most of his life and it tore him up to see what was happening now. MIL wants us to go and visit them next weekend but (oh what a pity) we are busy for the rest of the weekends in May. oh well.

the car is definitely a write-off, we've been looking at cars all weekend but to no avail! still hoping something might magically drop from the sky, but i think i might as well carry on hoping!! we didn't go swimming cause we were busy looking for cars, so Zac will have to wait till next weekend. we are going to a party next saturday evening so think we will wear him out on saturday then he will sleep well for granny!

my brother was well (whoever was asking!) - was nice to see him. even though they don't live far from us, we don't see much of him, which is a shame as he's Z's only blood-uncle!

anyway, got to run, am cooking roast lamb tonight as it's May eve (we think Z was conceived this time last year, but we're not sure!)

katwith3kittens · 30/04/2007 18:37

So this is where you are all hiding now. Good title as usual 2happy

Nothing to say really except EaH - did the earth move for you at weekend iykwim ?!

ellieandhattie · 30/04/2007 18:39

hmmm do you mean our child free weekend or the eartquake kat??? Eartquake was about 20min drive away so no noticeable effect and no comment on my child free weekend

laughalot · 30/04/2007 18:59

Ello

Well laurens review was ok they talked about weaning and took length, head and weight she is 12lb 12. They made sure she could hold up her head and that she is able to grasp things.

Welcome to the newbie of course you are welcome we are a bit nuts though. When was you lo born ?

Eah you could have had my board but my friend lent it to me as she has a little girl who is 1 so would like it back for her to use.

2happy hope you have a better night its a bit of a pain having the phone ring at night for your dh.

Rgee stop teaching young ellie naughty things .

Pink hope weight watchers is ok are you doing points or no count ? I lost around a stone on the no count took me just over 2 months that was before having loz though.

Urban soz about the car.

LadyTophamHatt · 30/04/2007 20:07

evening all, welcome aboard to the newbies.

Ds4 turned into the incredible sleeping baby today. I take him to baby massage on a monday and for the last 2 week he's not co-operated at all. He's either been tired or hungry so at most I got his legs massaged.

Today, I made sure he had abig long snoooooze before we got there and fed him as soon as we arrived.

I actually managed to complete the whole thing, except the last few strokes* that finish the whole thing off and he's been asleep for almost the entire time since then.
He woke up while we were in eastbourne and was sooooo incredibly happy and smiley that I thought my heart would explode and since we got home he's been asleep.

Baby massage rocks!!

(* they do have a fancy name but I've forgotten it now)

I also weighed him today, the runny poo don't seem to be effecting him that much. He's 15lb exactly, and 15 weeks tomorrow. Ds3 was 22 weeks before he weighed that much!!!
Its great having a pudgy baby.

Wilkie · 30/04/2007 20:09

Yo yo mo fo's. (Wilkie is just so 'street')

Calbourne - welcome welcome. There is only one stipulation to joining to gang and that is you MUST provide all gory labour details and name/weight/birth date of your LO seeing as though we missed out on the actual event.

RGee - you are just too good at personals. And port, bless your little granny socks

UD - such a PITA about your car Also, I am sure it was you asking about gas/electric suppliers - we have used this link to finf the best supplier and switched to NPower here

EAH - love the driveway and front door. I know where you live now so watch out.....!!!!!!!!!

Lizz - you are such a little homemaker with your baking. Purhlease chuck us a piece of flapjack and thanks for letting me rant about mum and sis to you on MSN last night

Jodie - Now, I will ask you this just one more time.....are you sure you haven't started BLW with fish and chips already???

Laughalot - how are you finding Lauren in the night now?? J still a TOTAL nightmare

2Happy - see above - in COMPLETE sympathy with you

PCF - fingers crossed that the car passes and that WW is working for you. I have tried but but can't be bothered to count my points

LTH - so far tonight you have signed in and out of MSN a total of 7 times. Thought you had sorted it?????

Shimmer - pics are SO cute

..........really sorry if I have missed anyone >

Have made up with family . Sis is now coming Sat/Sun, I cracked and texted my mum that I love her and spoke to her tonight so all is at peace with the Wilkie family.

Went to Drs who has prescribed me differed ADs so fingers crossed they work better than the last lot. We also discussed the IUD (coil) - anyone get any opinions on it???

J is being a PITA in the night. SO inconsistent. I am so fed up. Any suggestions are really really welcome. He is crap at night but a little angel during the day. What am I doing wrong??? I need my sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LadyTophamHatt · 30/04/2007 20:16

i swear I haven't done anything to it. the poxy thing drives me nuts!

Dragonhart · 30/04/2007 20:28

Hi all!

Welcome Calborne. As was said before, we need more details!!

I managed to get rid of the escort on our drive today! Got my brother to sort it out and it was gone in a couple of hours. And got £40 quid for it!

We went to a toddler group today and had a good time except that Luke was bullied by a girl ! She kept cornering him and running at him and hitting him, poor boy! Have to say, I had to force my self not to feel like he was a bit of a wuse though (as I have sad before, such a hard mum!). The little girl's mum is very pregnant and I felt quite sorry for her. She seemed quite embarassed and it is hard to say to her, it is ok, my ds can be a monster too, while not letting the girl think it is ok.

Sorry the nights are still not going too well 2happy but lol at the idea of A being on the floor. Poor love, wonder if he bumped down or if he just fell asleep there! I keep hearing these massive bumps upstairs when they have gone to bed, but when I go up, they are both fast asleep. When I stand there for afew seconds I keep expecting to catch them pretending to be asleep, having just dived back into bed!

Jodie, wow what a weight! Glad he is doing well!

EAH Ruth has her jabs on Fri and I am dreading it. She does this cry which starts as a bottom lip quivering and turns into a silent cry where she doesnt breathe, then screams. Hope H is ok tonight.

Glad you had a good weekend Rgee.

Lizzzombie · 30/04/2007 22:22

Home maker my arse...just cant be arsed to leave the house, so its easier to have a bake in every now and then!
Plus (dodgy logic applies here) flap jack has oats in it. And oats make you shit. And if you shit you loose weight. Et Voila...a new kind of diet is born. (or is that a new kind of eating disorder?!)

LTH - We had baby massage today too. DJ loves it. Its so funny hearing all these little babies fart in turns round the room!

Nemo2007 · 30/04/2007 22:24

hello all no chance of catching up so will start afresh from tommorows posts..lol

Shimmer · 01/05/2007 01:35

Like your logic Lizz. I make Orange Chocolate Bars which are gorgeous and the base is made with oats which also makes them healthy. Horray
LTH you surprise me, i won't have had you down as a baby massage type... or maybe your baby massage is different from the one i went to which was full of hippy mothers in white linen discussing what their husbands do for a living and how they've started visiting schools for little India already...boooooooring. Spose that was just my reaction to it though, F might have loved it!

Good luck to those with jabs coming up. I hate them and have that horrible guilty feeling that he'll never trust me to hold him again. Freddie's got his 3rd ones the week after we get back which i'm really dreading - 3 injections? Thats just mean!!

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 06:55

Shimmer???? Is the third and final set three injections? Thought it was just two as before?

LadyTophamHatt · 01/05/2007 06:58

I'm so happy....I'm so happy...traa laaa laaa...I'm so happy

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 08:08

wish i hadnt opened that link whilst i was eating my toast lth

Wilkie 3rd set of jabs is 3 injections hence why Hattie was so stroppy yesterday

I am going mad this morning its 8.06 and since 6.15 one of the dd's has either been crying or whining aaaarghhhh its driving me up the wall and I have no faith that Ellie will not cry at preschool today because she seems to be in 'one of thise moods' where everything ends in tears

RGee · 01/05/2007 08:24

Morning all

LTH - pmsl!!!! Well done!

EAH - oh dear Mummmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ... I don't want to go to pre school today....I want to play on your laptop and talk to that nice laydeeeee..........

Wilkie - yup it's three injections. And one of them is still a little lump on lo's thigh. I think she's forgiven me now though.

Shimmer - orange chocolate bars nom nom!!! They sound lush!

Wonder what Lizz is cooking today?

Hey UD - been reading your bf picnic thread. Hope all the organisation is going well.

Well the sun's out, so I reckon I may head to the park. Hope there are some cute baby ducks around

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 08:27

rgee - nom nom is going to be the new catchphrase now isnt it????

Wilkie · 01/05/2007 08:36

Oh feck it - SOOOOOO glad my mumma is coming for the day next Thursday then when he has his jabs. He was a little cretin last time

Think my neighbours are going to come through the wall in a minute - they've been banging about since 8am. Wilkie is NOT amused

EAH - , hope Ellie settles down

We had the biggest poo explosion this morning: It went on his vest, trousers, socks, so I whipped the lot off, stupidly pulling the vest overhis head so we had poo on his hand, face and in his hair. He then kicked his legs and got poo on his thigh, tummy and in between his toes (WTF??), I scooped him up getting poo on my dressing gown and arm in the process, and dunked him in the bath to hose him down. I have just noticed a small patch of poo on the bathroom doorframe. And all before 7.30am. Lovely.

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 08:37

nice wilkie

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 08:39

oh and shes calmed down now Hattie gone back to bed for nap so I have been playing Mr & Mrs Potato Head with Ellie and shes actually not whined for at least 8 minutes now I have 50 mintes to persuade her how great preschool is and what a big girl she can be be today
