to 'my mumsnet' 4 box along near top of page and set up public profile page (be warned when loading photos resize them to small images and when you 'upload them' and the next page goes blank go down on the arrow key and you'll find the picture)

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 21:38

ladies I am all in a dither so talk some sense into me..lol Ds[3.6] is getting his preschool boosters tommorow and I am petrified. I think it is just the fact he is aware because obviously up to this point it has just been babies/tiny tots getting them. Chloe has her 4mth ones aswell but am worrying about DS reaction.

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 21:39

oh and not to many cute pictures as I am the only one on here (well on here alot) who has more than one dd can't face to much competition

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 21:39

canmummy I cant believe after all that sleep she still sleeps in the night..arghhh C just refuses ..lol she wakes up loads for bit feeds!!

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 21:40

oops sorry nemo forgot you had 2 dd's and they are sooo cute!!

Would bribery work for DS or failing that not tell him till you actually get into drs/nurses room so not to much build up?

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 21:41

EAH Ihave 2 DDS...

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 21:41

x posts..pmsl

Lizzzombie · 01/05/2007 21:42

OMG Nemo - on the same day? you poor thing. Ok, at 3.6 will he understand what is happening properly? can you explain that whilst its going to be uncomfortable for a bit, in the long run it will stop him ever getting really poorly? And then bribe him with a trip to Woolworths later on?

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 21:42

my neice and nephew breezed through pre school jabs cause it was on the promise of a 'magazine/comic' and some sweets afterwards . Obviously they cried for a little bit but perked up after 5 mins

ellieandhattie · 01/05/2007 21:43

Am going to do dreamfeed and then hit the sack, hope all goes well tomorrow nemo (I'll be keeping fingers crossed for you) night x

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 21:43

Am going to promise him a trip to toys r us as he has been hankering after a playmobil police car for a while..lol He will understand completely and cant decide whether to explain it just before HV is due to arrive or wait until she is here

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 21:44

thanks EAH

How was E at preschool today?

hattie2 · 01/05/2007 21:57

nemo - i have a similar problem with my dd, got a letter a couple of weeks ago asking me to book her pre-school jabs and made the mistake of telling her. Poor little thing burst into tears and begged me not to ring the doctors!

I'll try 'it's very special medicine, for big girls only' and 'it'll only hurt for a little bit' but I know there will be a HUGE amount of bribery thrown in as well (something pink and a packet of fruit pastilles probably )

Lizzzombie · 01/05/2007 22:01

In my bid to get onto the home page thread I have started my very own poo thread...please add comments!

poo thread

Does this make me a Scatologist like LTH?!

canmummy · 01/05/2007 22:05

Right it's a miracle but I've loaded a picture on!

Nemo I told my dd2 quite a bit before so she knew what to expect, I know not much help to you the night before but kids are often better prepared. Best not to let him think you are worried or fazed by it as they soon pick up. Hopefully it'll soon be forgotten

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 22:05

lol hattie its hard isnt it. Dh thinks I should tell him but I think anticipation can be worse sometimes. Oh well by 12pm should all be done as hv is due around 11.30am

hattie2 · 01/05/2007 22:11

maybe let chloe have hers first and if (this is a big if by the way!) she only cries a bit you can tell ds that if his little sis can do it then he'll be fine?

Lizzz - pmsl at your poo poem, but I think you're on your own on that thread

hattie2 · 01/05/2007 22:13

canmummy - lovely photo , I see your girls like pink!

We have 2 things in common - running and Robbie!

canmummy · 01/05/2007 22:19

Lol we have a lot of pink now in our house but dd1 insists she doesn't like it any more! You wouldn't believe it as that picture was taken in her bed! Love Robbie - went to see him in Leeds last September brilliant! Also saw him at knebworth a few years ago - had to stop breastfeeding dd2 so I could leave her for the weekend . As for runnning just joined a running club as I have no motivation on my own and not up to entering a race just yet

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 22:21

hattie going by last 2 lots Chloe is going to scream...lol Doesnt help that HV seems to use them as target practice...

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 22:22

canmummy very cute picture..bless all the pink

hattie2 · 01/05/2007 22:25

I was at Knebworth as well and MK last September!

As for running, I really must get back into it - did 2 marathons prior to getting pg last April but have done bugger all since!

canmummy · 01/05/2007 22:29

I always wanted to do a marathon but when I trained for flm I ended up with a stress fracture and had to pull out 10 days before - gutted! Done 2 half-marathons though and still dream of dragging myself round london one day (note i never said run round!)

Dragonhart · 01/05/2007 22:33

Hope e is better next time EAH. Sounds like you have a really good preschool though.

2happy at mums who are so pleased with themselves and feel the need to tell everyone! Anyway, who puts theor 8month old in a bed!?

Nemo, Ruth goes back to sleep after her 7am feed til about 1030-11 but then only has a capnap in the afternoon til bed time. Hope jabs go well.

Rgee I did the same with Luke and more than onece Even now when I do his nails he spends the time saying owwwwww! I have only done RUths a couple of times and have managed to avoid a blood bath so far!

Becks, Ruth only goes afew times a week (prob once every 3 days and my doc said that was ok. Bit of a shock for me as Luke used to go loads of times every day and it was liquid, whereas Ruth barely ever goes and it is much 'firmer'.

Knackered as when Luke and Ruth went to bed, did gardening til it got dark. Think I may be going mad as I am so tired now but really want to get some stuff done so that we can returf bits of the garden and take down the green house this weekend. Not sure why I am not in bed yet!

Dragonhart · 01/05/2007 22:34

Oh god, there are more messages as I took so long to write that. Off to read them!
