Hey Lizz - congrats!!!! I'll not leave you to celebrate on your own

theUrbanDryad · 10/05/2007 15:59

congrats Lizzz!!

Galmum · 10/05/2007 16:07

Lizz - so pleased that the building regs are all kosher . Does this mean you can exchange contracts?? Keep me posted - hopefully no more pot cultivating neighbours!

Our house stuff is going well on the whole BUT we got the fixtures and fittings list back i.e. what the sellers are planning to leave behind. DH was furious - in 3 of the 4 bedrooms they are planning to remove the curtain poles, in 1 bedroom take the carpet and they are planning to remove the toilet roll holder and towel rail!! WHAT THE F**K?? Why are they being so petty - let's just say they have been in the house 20 years and selling it for a fortune. Is it a loius IVth bog roll holder or what??

There really is nowt so queer as folk!!!

LAL - been to Centreparcs in Longleat once and loved it. DS had a fab time there for his 3rd birthday. V.jealous you live so close to the Sherwood Forest one!

PS to all those Notts girls out there - DS loved my rendition of "Robin Hood Robin Hood riding through the glen...."!!

Wilkie · 10/05/2007 16:14

Lizz - CONGRATS and thanks for the link

PCF - well done on the weight loss

I am so again - I am sure I have a sign on my forehead that says 'Please be rude to me about my child'. Was at the drs and these two really pikey, rough, chav girls were sat down and the only seat available was next to them. So I carried J over and sat down. One of the girls said really loudly to her mate 'I hate babies with no hair they look so ugly. Look at him (pointing to J) he looks awful' , her mate said 'he has got some hair but it's fine' and the F*CKING BITCH said 'I think he's really ugly and looks weird'. I was so so so so angry that I couldn't bring myself to say anything cos I would have a)dissolved into tears or b)punched her in the face. The nurse called me through who is lovely and I burst into tears and told her. She was gobsmacked and wanted to go out and say something but I said no.

J's jabs were awful, he really really screamed so I feel really and and very hurt.

Afternoon ladies! Quick post on my way to the gym (need to work off all the bad food I've eaten today )

Wilkie - you ignore those girls I've looked at pictures of your little boy and he's gorgeous!!

PCF - well done! You are being an inspiration to me, especially as dh said to me this afternoon that I couldn't possibly be thinking of buying a bikini for our holiday in 3 weeks

Liz and Galmum - hope the moves progress well, when we bought the house we're in now the tight gits took all the wall lights so at night our hallway was pitch black - nice! Why are people so petty? They also wanted us to pay £200 for each carpet even though they were hideous and we were going to rip them up as soon as we could afford to

My lo seems to be needing much less sleep. She's slept for no longer than about 10 minutes today, I've just sent her off with dh to watch the other 2 at gymnastics. What a nightmare - I've had to send a bottle of expressed milk, a flask of hot water to heat it up in and a jug to stand it in. You watch, she'll choose now to have a big long sleep whereas when I take her she just cries/feeds/is generally miserable. My eldest really excited as her 1st tooth fell out this morning so tooth fairy visiting tonight! (Hope I remember)

laurenandchloemummy · 10/05/2007 17:08

really sorry wilkie, how nasty. Hope your ok, i bet your still shaking with anger, i would be.

laurenandchloemummy · 10/05/2007 17:12

Did ellie get a chance to play with the playdoh today?

Lizzzombie · 10/05/2007 17:50

Wilks - that is EVIL! I cant believe they said that. Don't they know the cardinal rule is to NEVER EVER say a baby is ugly. Ever. Else your own comes out like a goblin or something. I recommend voodoo to make you feel better. always works for me!

Galmum - Taking the bogroll holder?! Thats ridiculous. I wouldnt want their 20 year old stinking bog roll holder anyway...huh! Not sure what stage is next for us re the house. Just SO SO pleased we got the mortage sorted a few weeks ago, and not from today onwards.

Thanks for congrats everyone, hope they are not premature! You are all welcome round for a cuppa or a cocktail when I move in!
Spoke to my boss today, my start date is 23rd of June. Goodbye weekends. Boo. Hello ladies with saggy boobs who want to look like Jordan...oh, hang on, that'll be me now! x

ellieandhattie · 10/05/2007 17:53

How dare that girl say that about my future son in law he is gorgeous (I wanted a bald baby as I think they look so cute and baby like and got one with a thatch on her head!)

ellieandhattie · 10/05/2007 18:05

Lizz I go back 26th June the house isnt actually guaranteed until you exchange contracts and set completion dates but fingers crossed.

Good morning at preschool, she had been crying since 8am saying she didnt want to go, sobbed all the way there went in and did the coat/bag gave her kiss and left. Went back at 10.45 (starts at 9.30) looked through the windo and she was dressed up running around laughing and smiling Mananger came out to see me to say she'd sobbed for 10 minutes and was on her knee (at the playdoh table that she had specifically got out for Ellie and Ellie told her she didnt like playdoh and at that great big fat lie) anyway Manager was talking to another little boy who had got the puppets out and Ellie realised she wasnt getting any attention got off her knee and joined in with puppet show!!!

I stayed in the foyer till 11.15 then went in for snack time then story/singng/music time and Ellie joined in with everything and did what she was told and even asked one of the assistants to take her to the toilet she was whacked out and tired by 11.50 so sat on her chair till 12 (going home time) but no fuss etc and best bit is that school have their own bear called 'Baranaby Bear' and he comes with hs won bag and diary and it was decided that as Ellie had been sooo good she gets tohave Barnaby over the weekend and he stays with us till Tuesday she is really chuffed and carried him everywhere. Looked in Baranbys diary and most people put photo in so going to take picture of Ellie and Barnaby on Saturday as she is having her first trip to the cinema as DH taking her to the ciema kids club (£2.50 for child adult free!!)I am so proud of her today and the staff made such a fuss of her being a big girl fingers crossed for Tuesday

Wilkie · 10/05/2007 18:50

Hello all - have calmed down now. Bald babies rule

Don't talk about work I go back 20th August for three days a week

EAH - great news about pre-school. Bless her little cotton socks

laughalot · 10/05/2007 19:01

Laughalot comes pounding in the door not to badly injured just a slight gash under her right eye, yep you are probably wondering why but that is because iv been to lincoln to beat up two rather fat slobby lasses... yep they are now bald themselves and even worse than that they have clamidia so no bald cute babies for them .

Eah so glad the day went well say hi to barnaby from aidan xx

Dragon my bf dh came out of hospital yesterday he is alot better thanks.

Nom nom shepards pie for dinner it was lush

Galmum · 10/05/2007 19:23

Poor you Wilkie - I would be speechless if that happened to me.

Sound like the type of lasses that used to try to gob on me when I used to be in my High School uniform (nice)!! So well done LAL.

ellieandhattie · 10/05/2007 19:25

so what do you think of this do you think I am asking to much??

my nursery for sale!!

Dragonhart · 10/05/2007 19:35

Glad all is ok with him Laughalot. Presume the scan went ok?

Wilkie, what a pair of cows! As if someone could actually say that! He is gorgeous, rest asured. I will get my witch nan to gish them so all of their hair falls out!

EAH, glad all went well today for E.

Went to buy Luke a present for sleeping well and, he fell asleep in the buggy on the way! So bought him some paints and a brush and will tell him what it is for and play with them next week. Hope he is still sleeping well then!

I have got such a sore boob again. Think it is a blocked duct but not sur what the best thing to do to stop it becoming mastitus? Anyone any tips? I have some of those gel packs so might try using them later.

Dragonhart · 10/05/2007 19:38

No, I wouldnt say so EAH. You are geting a lot for your money. Good Luck.

Lizzzombie · 10/05/2007 19:40

Oooh Dragon you poor thing. Try expressing from that boob only, then you know you have emptied it all when feeding?
And try warm compresses too. They ease the pain.
EAH - £150 seems reasonable to me. Good luck. Have you thought about ebay instead if it doesnt sell? We could all bump up the price of it! not that I advocate that type of behaviour obviously!

LadyTophamHatt · 10/05/2007 19:57

Hi girls, just popping in to let you all know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth and because UD said you ALL missed me...
although having just read the thread briefly I have noticed that only MrsCarrot asked after me so I actually think UD is lying.

I thought you all loved me??

Anyway nothing to report here, DS4 is still FAB, still not sleeping through, still gorgeous and still necking his bottles like its going out of fashion.

Actually, I have discovered a new talent from my boy. He produces the smelliest farts EVER! OMG they stink...his poo smells better than his farts.
They are rank!

Wilkie, one of DH's "mates" said "Err ain't e ugly" when ds1 was a baby...to me, while I was holding him.
I suggested to him, very kindly that he remove himself from my presense before I killed him.
A few months later, still fuming I saw the twat in the pub and as he walked toward me I took his full pint out of his hand and poured it over his head, then demanded an apology. He apologied and I told him he was lucky his own mother hadn't drown him at birth because he was such a huge waste of oxygen, andf a f*cking ugly one at that. Then I took the pint glass back (someone had taken it off me...probably thinking I was going to glass him) and I threw the dregs that were left in his face.

I cannot tell you how bloody good it felt.

Anyway, sorry about the lack of personals.

Oh actaully Mrs C.....you looked FAB and the day looked great.

MrsCarrot · 10/05/2007 19:57

Dragon- ginger oil!It really helps in the bath, and keep massaging it, and feeding or expressing if LO isn't hungry and it gets full. I keep getting the beginnings of it since the bad time and this always seems to stop it before it starts. Also, ignore your health visitor about weaning early, if you didn't do it with your ds and you actually don't want to, and LO is perfectly well, then I wouldn't do it because they're low on their growth chart Some babies are just small. If you want to or you feel they're ready then fine, but don't worry about centiles! Hope you feel better

Wilkie can't tell you how upset for you I am, that's the worst thing, and from such pigs themselves. Cheek! Obviously jealous of you and LO and being insulting as it's the only way they know how to communicate. I would have felt like crying too. I think we all wish warts and smelly vd's on them!! Prob what they were there for,
as they'd accidently slept with their brother and the pitbull sorry, getting carried away now... I've just had another look and your baby is very beautiful, but you know that.

MrsCarrot · 10/05/2007 19:59

Thank you LTH, nice to see you back. I think of you every time I put LO on his front, t t t tum, ok I won't say it

LadyTophamHatt · 10/05/2007 20:15

and I think of you Mrs C whenever I rub calendula cream on George.

That fancy stuff makes him smell edible and I love love LOVE it!

vinorouge · 10/05/2007 20:15

Wilkie I chuckled at you describing that pair of rude girls as pikey! Not heard it for ages and i have the perfect picture of just what type of girls they were. Although my computer still won't let me see any pics so I have no idea what any of you or your babies look like (except Rgee) I am sure J is a real cutie...

I am going to start introducing a bottle in the next few days , suddenly decided I've had enough of BF.

Knackered today. As I was waiting for my mate to pick me up to take lo's swimming I realised DH had the car seat in the car at work with him so I had a mad dash power walk to the pool to get there in time for our lesson.

Wilkie · 10/05/2007 20:27

Thanks girls. I feel better now. LL - much much appreciated and I hope the gash under your eye doesn't scar. She was a right minger with platinum blonde extensions and make up applied on with a trowel. She may have been a transvestite

Rgee and I were debating whether the thread was in demise the other night on MSN so I am ultra pleased to see everyone posting. Please don't let this thread slide - I love it and you all

LTH - thanks for the laugh, loved the story

My period arrived (sounds like it arrived at my house, suitcase in hand, brandishing some homemade brownies...) yesterday so I am happy. Although I woke to find it trickling down my leg in bed.....sorry, think I shared too much

BTW, if any of your LOs get coughs, I thoroughly recommend Baby Meltus Linctus. It's great, got rid of J's cough in 4 doses

MrsCarrot · 10/05/2007 20:50

Oh no, don't say that, Wilkie! I've just got to know everyone, don't all run off now. Although, I have actually registerd with msm, I haven't added anyones names yet, not quite having the energy to plough back through for all the addresses, perhaps I should. Mine is [email protected] btw, cake is obviously a theme in my life!

LTH, I was very pleased the cream worked for George, in fact worried until you said it worked, as I worried about the small possibility of it making it worse! I'm always good for alternativey, treehuggey, 'fancy' remedies, ha ha, if anyone has any minor ailments, carrotcake's chemist open
