Oh no, don't say that, Wilkie! I've just got to know everyone, don't all run off now. Although, I have actually registerd with msm, I haven't added anyones names yet, not quite having the energy to plough back through for all the addresses, perhaps I should. Mine is [email protected] btw, cake is obviously a theme in my life!

LTH, I was very pleased the cream worked for George, in fact worried until you said it worked, as I worried about the small possibility of it making it worse! I'm always good for alternativey, treehuggey, 'fancy' remedies, ha ha, if anyone has any minor ailments, carrotcake's chemist open

MrsCarrot · 10/05/2007 20:54

not sure what happened there?

LadyTophamHatt · 10/05/2007 20:57

i heard you the first time, you know....

Avtually, he does still have dry skin, but on his body now rather than his face. I think he's just going to have sensitive dry skin and I'll have to be careful what I put on him.

The calendula cream works a treat but I haven't got time to rub it in everyday.
I should make time really....

LadyTophamHatt · 10/05/2007 20:59

its nowhere near as dry and flaky as his face was though, just a little rough to the touch.

RGee · 10/05/2007 21:01

Hello Carrot

RGee · 10/05/2007 21:02

LTh if you read the thread properly (none of this skim reading you know) I think you will find that I was missing you

RGee · 10/05/2007 21:03

Hello Carrot

Hello Carrot

RGee · 10/05/2007 21:04

ECHO...echo...echo...ech..e..

RGee · 10/05/2007 21:23

Vino - that's twice in two days on this thread. Steady girl, you'll be getting addicted like someone else around here . You still got a hole in your nip btw? No wonder the bottle is coming out! And have you learnt how to eat tomatoes yet?

Wilkie - I hope you haven't caught anything from sitting next to the Vicky Pollards. I bet they both were models weren't they. Hope J's recovered from his jabs. That's it at least for now!

EAH - well done Ellie! And good luck with the sale of your stuff. 1p for your new nursery stuff - brilliant!!

Canmummy - not sure I approve of this 'going to the gym' business! Everyone is getting too active and making me get twitchy. Have entered a 5km race for a week on Sunday but I shall be strolling round.

Dragon - I'm fairly laid back but this weight thing and HV over dependence on them tends to wind me up. In the dim and distant past, Pippa dropped to the 2nd percentile and there were murmurings of failure to thrive which put the shits up me (she's 75 percentile now so am swinging the other way). You know your lo is absolutely fine and happy the way she currently is, so go with what feels right for you.

PCF - another good week at WW. Obviously birthday cake is good for you

Galmum - are they leaving the lightbulbs? One of my moves the people took the lightbulbs. PMSL!!! How tight can you get.

LL - glad bf dh is out of hospital. It must be a huge relief to you all.

UD - how's DH been today?

Anyone else on here big Eurovision fans?

RGee · 10/05/2007 21:34

Are you all watching the Eurovision semi final on BBC3 then? Or just ignoring me.

Thought you might all like to laugh at me. DD woke up at 5.17am this morning. She's slept through since Easter so was a bit of a shock. But not all bad as she amused herself by chatting to her toys, then went back to sleep for another hour. I remained spark awake. Bah.

MrsCarrot · 10/05/2007 21:39

Hello! I'm only going to say it once!! Desperately trying to answer Wilkie's request on msn but the whole thing keeps messing up and I'm getting a bit fucked off grrr, I keep having to resetting my password? and where do you actually talk?

RGee · 10/05/2007 21:44

Ah-haaa...that's where you all are. PC's playing up this evening (yawn).

MrsCarrot · 10/05/2007 21:49

just tried to add you, rgee, but have apparently exceeded messages?? and now LO IS AWAKE, prob going to bed too. Night!

Lizzzombie · 11/05/2007 08:09

Ha! First on the thread again. And I've fone the washing up and hoovering already...I'm soooo on top of things!

DP has just taken last slice of flapjack to work with him. Which means I have to make some more. Was going to make fairy cakes today but now have to make flapjack too. Has anyone ever made vodka icing? Is it possible? Thought it would be more fun to put vodka than water in with the icing sugar.
Also, I have to make a pudding for tomorrow night. We are off to some mates for dinner & I said I'd do the pudding. Something not too complicated. And nothing with nuts. Any ideas? (cheesecake is too complicated) DP reckons a crumble is too pikey and 1970's. I am stuck! x

RGee · 11/05/2007 08:19

Morning Lizz. I've been lurking. Didn't want to post again after last night's silence

Shimmer · 11/05/2007 08:21

Morning Ladies. We made it back to England Horrah!!!! Freddie was fine on the plane and slept most of the way again, he was a bit whiny and unsettled the first day we were back, but seems happy again now. I had to have a bit of an argument with this evil air steward (is that what they're called these days or are we meant to say flight attendent?? )guy on the plane though. I NEVER argue with people in public (y'know, shop assistants, people like that...) but I just got so tired and pissed off... Bascially we had a "skycot" for F, a sort of bassinet thing, that attaches to the wall and LOs can lie down and sleep in. On the way there we had one that had a seatbelt kind of in it, but on the way back there was no seatbelt, so I was told that everytime the seatbelt sign was turned on I had to take F out of the cot and fasten him into my seatbelt!!! So ridiculous!! I'm sure those of you who've done longhaul flights in the past know how much they love turning the seatbelt sign on. Anyway, this evil bitch (he was definitely gay! but not one of the nice ones...) made it his mission to come and wake me up and stand there making sure i'd picked F up and got him into the seat belt properly etc. So obviously I got NO sleep at all. And what's worse he made it really clear that i had to do it for insurance reasons, because if F got hurt somehow I could sue them or something, nothing actually to do with safety! Sorry that was a bit of a long ramble. I'm obviously still pissed off... i would definitely not travel on Virgin with a baby again.

Also and Wilkie about those chavs in the doctors!! Even worse than my bitchy flight attendent! Bald babies rule! Freddie's still pretty bald and he's the cutest thing ever

Lizz good news about the house! I'm so jealous, I want to move!!

PCF very impressed with all the weight loss! My mum suggested I might want to join WW the oher day. Nice.

MrsCarrot don't give up! You'll get used to MSN You talk by seeing who of your contacts is online and then sending them a message, or sometimes, if you're lucky, they send you one, or invite you to join a conversation. My address is [email protected] if you want to add me. Though my brother has borrowed my laptop, which is where i have MSN installed, so can't get on at the moment

Ok...i'll stop now...sorry about mega post...

Shimmer · 11/05/2007 08:25

God Lizz, now you mention it, all the puddings I can think of are quite pikey and 1970s... I'll try and think of something trendy and sophisticated for you.... hmmm....

RGee · 11/05/2007 08:28

I love crumbles. I convince myself they're dead healthy too, what with all that fruit. I always make them if I want a pud for lots of people.

My laziest dessert is black forest trifle (but if crumble's chavvy and 70's, then trifle is too). Buy a chocolate swiss roll, cut it up, pour over tin of black cherries, and blackcurrant jelly. Leave to set. Pour over cartons of ready made chocolate custard, add whipped cream, and lots of chocolate sprinkles on top.

Fruit salad?

No, I know. Chocolate mousse. That's easy to make and yummy, and looks good if you present them in small glasses. You just need chocolate, eggs and I tiny bit of butter. For 4 people, 7oz good chocolate, 1oz unsalted bvutter, 4 eggs separated, 3tbsp water. Add water to chocolate and melt. Remove from heat and stir in butter. Cool for 2 mins. Add egg yolks one at a time beating well. In another bowl, beat egg whites to stiff peaks, then gradually fold into chocolate mixture. Pour into individual serving dishes and refridgerate until sret (c 2hours). Decorate with more chocolate.

NOM NOM

laughalot · 11/05/2007 08:31

RGee · 11/05/2007 08:33

Hi Shimmer! Welcome home (to dreary wet UK). Bloody flight attendants!! I'll never forget the time a bottle of vodka belonging to a flight attendant who did not properly shut the overhead locker, fell onto my head when we just started our descent. I had to spend the rest of my flight with an ice pack on my head. Can't believe I never wrote and complained - just think how many free flights I would have got!

laughalot · 11/05/2007 08:34

Hi shimmer x posts glad you are back safe and sound.

RGee · 11/05/2007 08:36

Morning LL! Really lovely pic

Yeah, bl**dy Katie and that comment. Go back up north to all your northern mates. She really knows how to endear herself doesn't she. Always so annoyingly smug too. Urghhh.

Wilkie · 11/05/2007 08:55

Morning Laydeez - I was on here at 6.50am but no one was around and couldn't be arsed to post.

The Apprentice - KATIE - ARGGGGGGGHHHH!! Stcuk up, red faced, toffee nosed twat with her stupid posh accent and smugness. She is so irritating!!!!!!!! Northerners rule

welcome back Shimmer.

LL - beautiful pics, what cuties

Not a bad night here either. J fed at 3.20am then back to sleep till 6.50am. Little treasure.

Well, it was apple for breakfast in the Wilkie household and I couldn't keep up with the little man as he wolfed it down bless him. BTW, for those of you yet to start weaning - banana produced SOLID ADULT-LIKE POO. I was so impressed I stuck my finger in it to check consistency
