We have run out of space so thought I would start a new thread.

Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

Amelia is also in the 18th July club. Happy birthday to her co birthday-ers Thomas, Abbey, Chloe and Kayley. Amelia was born at 06.38, is she the oldest? Shame you didn't come yesterday Annie so Kayley and Amelia could have planned their 10 month celebrations together. Amelia started her day very early at 5.30 and wouldn't go back to sleep - must have wanted to get the most out of her day! Hopefully the rest of you slept a little longer.

Would be funny if we knew each other Annie, will have to wait for the next meet up to see. Looking forward to the big one - and not envious of you KZ trying to find a central location though.

Does anyone else feel sad that our LOs are growing up? Maybe its because I know Amelia will be our last and this is the end of all the gorgeous babyness

prettymum · 18/05/2007 22:53

FirstAtForty · 18/05/2007 23:16

oh Bloss and Prettymum big commiserations on your hangovers, very life-affirming that some of us still have life enough in us to get gut-wrenchingly bolloxed though I've had a few glasses of wine this evening but sadly it's a while since I've properly tied one on

Annie - how weird! Congrats on being Auntie to Twins!

Us - so sorry to hear things have been so tough recently, keep your chin up hun. Happy birthday to Zack for Wednesday (I forgot Emma's on Weds, was convinced all week that Thursday was the 16th so got the day wrong )

Happy birthday to all the July 18th babes!

FirstAtForty · 18/05/2007 23:20

oh and happy birthday to Junior for tomorrow (try not to sing too loud in case Mummy still has a headache )

Twinklemegan · 18/05/2007 23:20

Maewest - just a word of warning. We thought Aidan was teething when he was doing the self-same thing. He was very snotty too. Turns out, as I said a few days ago, he had a really bad ear infection. I'm sure this isn't the case with your DS, but I just thought I'd point it out.

Hi all,

Just quickly checking in. Going to read all posts from this week. Had a busy, busy week here. Went to see Justin Timberlake on Tues with DD1, was fab, fab, fab. He is so yummy.

Got DS and DD1's joint birthday tomorrow. 40 kids coming so am kacking my pants. Just finished preparing all the food so am now going to bed. Will have a proper catch up this weekend.

Ceebee- Southport sounds good. Will ask you more about it when am on properly.

Love to all,

Jeanie

Ceebee74 · 19/05/2007 12:33

Jeanie - here is the link to the meet-up thread - would be lovely to meet you and your lo's

Happy 10month birthday to Junior and a belated one for Emma

KZ - thanks for the tip about the little pasta shapes. I have just given Josh some of a Stage 2 jar of tuna pasta which had those little shapes in and no gagging or puking - fab! Every other time I have tried him with Stage 2 food, he has puked

Just thought I would share this photo - Josh showing off and drinking out of his beaker one-handed!

Well Dh gone to play cricket (had to help him make at least 60 sandwiches for the cricket teas this morning!) so me and Josh are kitted out in our Chelsea gear ready for the Cup Final.

Wallace · 19/05/2007 18:30

Well done Chelsea - bet you're so happy!

What a cute photo

HumphreysCorner · 19/05/2007 19:38

Well, tis the Christening tomorrow and I have spent 2 days solid cleaning and food preparing. Sophie a tad obsessed with the hoover and crawls round after it excitedly. Have just finished so had better get some tea for moi. In laws took Em for a few hours but still no sign of her return- she will be grumpy tomorrow!

Jeanie-hope your party went well. I only have 20 people to cater for and only 4 of them are children.

Love to all.

OOOh HC exciting! Have a lovely day

Leo is the same with the hoover, and bangs his hands on the top - unfortunately that's where the switch is!

kbaby · 19/05/2007 21:32

Hi,
Im really tired today. We had friends over last night and they didn?t leave until 12.30am and then DS woke at 2am and DD woke us all up by singing very loudly at 4am and not going back to sleep. Oh and our friend called today to say that he had been up all night being sick so I hope to god that its not a bug that were all going to catch. DD has her Birthday party on Saturday and I hope she isn?t ill for it.

On a lighter note DS has learnt how to pull himself up into a standing position and is half cruising along the furniture and hes even let go and stood alone for a few seconds. He does get stuck and cant work out how to sit back down again. He wont walk if you hold his hands and instead just holds his legs rigid. Hes still not saying anything much apart from Dada though and even then its not directed at DH.
Today hes started doing? round and round the garden? to himself. So sweet.

Ds was cute last night. He woke crying and when I went in to him he was in his cot, eyes closed frantically patting the mattress for his dummy. He eventually found it and with his eyes still closed turned it around so it was the right way and popped it in and went back to sleep. I didn?t think he could do that yet.

Sleep- weve just bought the same toddle truck but DS refuses to move his feet and ends up falling.

HC ? well done on the weight loss and good luck for tomorrow.
First- Same here as Roshi, DS hated tummy time and crawled from a sitting position.

Love the pics of your meet up.
Beadmum- Hope you enjoyed Cardiff. Its where I live.

Heres a piccie of DS getting into trouble.

Those photos are wonderful.... it's great to see that DD isn't the only mischief out there .

Can't understand where today has gone but feel like I've done absolutely nothing !

sohappyicouldcry · 19/05/2007 22:56

Sorry, should have said, I meant "any tips" for stopping DD from blowing raspberries, not for DH

Twinklemegan · 19/05/2007 22:59

Sohappy - lol at the raspberries thing. Aidan keeps going through phases of blowing them ALL the time, wherever we are. They it eases off again and he'll start blowing kisses all the time. I think it's just a phase (and it's pretty cute don't you think? If a bit embarassing sometimes!)

Twinklemegan · 19/05/2007 23:00

"then" it eases off, I meant. The worst thing is when he's going through a raspberries phase and he starts blowing them while he's eating.

prettymum · 19/05/2007 23:07

sohappy- awww your dd sounds so cute! junior went through a short phase and then stopped!

kbaby- awww at your ds and the dummy, theyre learning everything too quick now!!

junior now starts whinging if he sees the front door open and we dont let him get out!! and dd has a habit now of organising all her disney dvds and wat does junior do? he crawls over to the stand and pulls them all down again!! and at any opportunity given he will eat paper yet he keeps refusing food!!

Twinklemegan · 19/05/2007 23:11

While we're on the subject of our LO's more "annoying" habits, has anyone else's gone through a phase of finding lumps in their food and poking them out with their tongue? Aidan's fine with finger food (normally, except tonight) but he has now decided he won't eat anything lumpy off a spoon. I tried stewed apple with his Readybrek the other morning and every little piece of apple came back out again.

sohappyicouldcry · 19/05/2007 23:26

Yep, know exactly what you mean !!!
DD also sieves her food. She doesn't seem to like peas at all, they ALWAYS get poked back out, along with rice. Have no problems with pasta though or other veg.

I agree that the raspberry thing is very cute, but can't help worrying that she's doing it so much that she's going to carry on with that forever !!! Trouble is, they are so wet and sloppy that she ends up soaking wet and so does whichever poor soul she's doing it to/at .

She has also started doing them while eating. I got splattered with cauli cheesy pasta this lunchtime (maybe a good idea for a facepack ?)....

So glad to hear I'm not the only one with a baby due an ASBO !!!

the pic are all gorgeous- roshi looks so cute and peaceful! lol kbaby at ds in the cupboard, did he manage to open the doors?? ceebee- josh looks like he was trying to have some quiet time with his cup and you disturbed him!

sohappyicouldcry · 20/05/2007 09:42

Hope today goes well HC.... just try to enjoy it . At least you've got "outdoor" weather !!

Must try to sort out christening myself for dd. Was pondering on thought of joint birthday and christening party ?

Off out today as it is lovely and sunny here.... ooh, where to go

sohappyicouldcry · 20/05/2007 09:44

Roshi sleeps in exactly the same way as Alex, they love having their bums in the air don't they !

Did she sleep afterwards for you ? I hate it when dd collapses at that sort of time as it tends to put bedtime back somewhat.

Really must get dressed now and get out in that fresh air. Try to blow away her snotty nose

TheGoddessBlossom · 20/05/2007 15:05

Dad's 60th last night. It was great, he had a ball. We had it here and the rooms were amazing, and we really enjoyed having a lie in this morning. i went to bed at 12.15 as I was so tired, but DH stayed up till 3am drinking sticky drinks so is really suffering today. We had a christeneing to go to today too, and he was God Father, but he managed to hold things together - just.

Got home to relieve my SIL who was great with the boys, but she was knackered and couldn't get away quick enough! I really missed them, and have been cuddling Toby all day....

How's your christening going HC? Hope it is great.

We have booked four nights on the Isle of Wight for next weekend, leaving Friday, I am so excited! We are going to stay in a caravan, and I've never been there, H is going to love it!

I am not drinking this week. Need to have a week off, I feel a bit poisoned, and my skin is dreadful....

Right, off to drag the boys out for a walk and leave DH festering on the sofa....

Bloss

xx

PS - gorge pics everyone.

HumphreysCorner · 20/05/2007 19:21

The Christening is now over and everyone has gone home. Both girls tucked up in bed and am having a glass of vino-shouldn't really but hey ho! Was a lovely hectic day and the weather was nice. Our dopey vicar had forgotten there was a Christening today as I suspected he would. He couldn't understand why there were so many people in the church-doh! He had to ring an organist up and get changed into the right clothing and collect all the wrong service books and hand out Baptism service books. Then he made up the service as he hadn't prepared and had no idea who the Godparents were as he left his paperwork at home. He has even written the wrong date on the Baptism certificate and written over it to correct it. Well, at least we won't forget Sophie's Christening. She cried most of the time and her nose was streaming-ran out of tissues and she ended up wiping her nose on my dress.

Bloss-sounds like you had a good night. Hope the Christening you went to was fun.

kayzed-nice pic of Roshi. Em was a bottom in the air sleeper.

sohappy-Em wanted to sing Happy Birthday to Sophie when we cut the cake.

Lots of bike racing to watch so better get watching before I nod off.

Will post a pic when I get a mo. Everyone commented on my weight loss but I was wearing those cycling short type of pull in pants-have let it all out now My brother was amazed how I rush about. He said even he doesn't move that fast and considers himself to be active. Told him the AD's had slowed me down a tad though-he said not enough.

Love to all
