We have run out of space so thought I would start a new thread.

Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

decided a name change was due! as the little guy is always yelling when i'm on mn so he sits on my knees grabbing at the keyboard!

still not crawling forward really, and not waving althought gets beside himself with excitement when i clap or slap my knees with my hands

he's trying to pull himself up although not really getting it, so i reckon it'll just take time.

can say mamamama and dadadada and a whole host of other things but no other proper words yet. and lots of telling himself awfully funny jokes and just giggling his head off!

anyway, am really sorry i missed the mini meet today, and will deffo try and get to the big one - can we make it easy to get to by train as i don't drive have to start lessons again in july!

prettymum · 17/05/2007 21:57

hey everyone

sorry havent been on ages and so many posts to catch up on!

awww you guys had the mini meetup today!! sounds like you had a great time!!

junior has started throwing his backwards when throwing mini tantrum! it does look scary at times! no mama yet! evertime i try to get him to say it he goes baba!

had the worst hangover today!! went out for a friends birthday lastnight and had to get drunk to enjoy the music but regretted it this morning! going to stick to meals for next few meals!

better get an early night tonight!!

Wow lovely pics!!!!

I'm so jealous, but also slightly glad I wasn't there - you all look so glamourous!

Beadmum · 17/05/2007 22:27

glad mini meet up went well

i would love to make the big meet up but really depends on where it is as i am so far away up here also i dont drive so echo somewhere to get to by train if poss.

well charlotte is starting to crawl backwards more often now and seems pleased with herself that she can get around the floor rather than being stuck in one position

charlotte only has 2 bottles a day - 6oz in morning (drinks 5oz usually) and 7oz at bedtime (drinks it all), still only having sips of water but hoping this will just happen one day

Ive been putting charlottes hair up in hairband too otherwise its in her eyes, she hates getting it done but i give her a toy to try to distract her and scoop hair up quickly then give her the comb that she 'so wants in her clutches' then tie hair up. So know this is going to get harder as she gets older though

I am so looking forward to this weekend, dh and I are off to cardiff for 3 nights its our 2nd wedding anniversary and thought we'd celebrate this year as I was 'size of a house' last year and couldnt drink my mum is coming to stay in our house to look after charlotte, i know she'll be fine and spoilt rotten probably but will still phone everyday just to check and we will miss her like crazy but have to admit it will be good to have some couple time

have a good weekend ladies xx

Wallace · 17/05/2007 22:27

lysette (and jacob) - I've been skimming the posts. Did you say you were coming to scotland? Where abouts?

Beadmum · 17/05/2007 22:28

Wallace · 17/05/2007 22:29

prettymum · 17/05/2007 22:34

wow gorgeous pics!!! you all look sooo loveley and glamorous!! babies look like they had an adventurous day too! i think i got few spelling mistakes in there, please ignore

beadman- aww happy second anniversary!! enjoy the weekend away!

jacobandlysette · 17/05/2007 22:45

hi wallace just me at the moment the big man's asleep

we are going to skibo castle with dh's work - are you up that way?

man dh can be the most annoying person when he's had a few drinks! we are being picked up at 7am tomorrow and i'm working on the fact that jacob doesn't normally wake up till around 7. dh is asking what are you going to do if he has a full nappy of poo? well duuuhhh change it! even if you have towkae him up (dh)? well would you like to sit for an hours journey with poo on your bottom (my non at all sarcastic reply)... so what if his nappy is full just of pee (dh) (my reply) - well if he's not awake i'm not going to wake him up as he's generally ok with that. (dh reply) well that's not what you have told me before. sorry if this rant is boring yo uall to tears but for crying out loud because i said something 2 months ago i am not allowed to change it now, when our son is 2 months older!gggggrrrrrrrrrrr he is such a f'ing pedant when he's had a few. either that or he tells me to f off for the slightest thing that he thinks i have wronged him aobut - like telling him to go and sleep on the bed instead of the lounge floor when he'll hurt his neck. i do wonder why i bother sometimes.

sorry am going to be so embarassed when i read this back but could really blow my top!

xxxx

ps jacob looks so young compared to the rest of the london mini meet up dcs!

FirstAtForty · 17/05/2007 22:46

Aaaw fab to see the pix girls (thanks kayzed), the lo?s look like they had a fab (and tiring ) time too!

Hair that you can tie up and comb, blimey. Emma can but dream of flowing locks, still a wee baldy baby

Beadmum - have a good weekend God yes, this time last year size of a house indeed! Was just getting excited about going on mat leave and wondering how the hell I was going to get all my work done (so nothing much has changed then, except for the pregnancy and leave bit )

Lysettes - yes it will be good when they can speak and tell us what?s so bloody funny!

Bloss - satsumas, that?s a good idea - trying to think of new food to give Emma before she turns into a banana / avocado.

Sohappy - tried Emma on fish fingers minus batter yesterday too, she loved them

Just another quick one tonight girls, off to bed soon - hope everyone?s okay xxx

HumphreysCorner · 17/05/2007 22:59

So, so nice to see the pics of your mini meet. And yes, you all do look glam (and v. similar )

Sorry got to rush, DH "waiting in bed for me"

Just thanking Twinkle and Kamikazed from their advice etc about Alex's rash. She is now much better than she was, her cold has almost gone and the rash went yesterday. It looked just like the photos of hives. Maybe it was an allergy to a cold !!!

Must dash .... Night ! xx

usandnosleep · 18/05/2007 05:33

Hi all

Sorry it has been a while, things have been stressful.
Things still feel a bit weird here but have both agreed to give things a go, was almost the end for a while

Zack has been hard work too because he has had a chest infection, it's clearing up now but he is still whinging non stop
Bless him though last night he went down at 8.15 and didn't wake until 3.45 and hasn't woken since, whinging all day must be exhausting.....

Up early because I'm off to my sisters today, have a good day everyone x

Wallace · 18/05/2007 07:09

Poor usandnosleep xxxx Sorry things have been so bad for you. Have a nice day today

lysettes - you will just be gone! Skibo is further North than me (about 50 miles I think) If you are taking the train north you will pass within a mile of my house! If you are flying you will prob fly over my house! Skibo is very close to where we went on a wee holiday in April. Very beautiful up there! Have a nice time

numptysmummy · 18/05/2007 08:15

Usandno sleep, hope things get better soon.
Jacobandlysette : Men. What can i say? Knobheads mostly - even the good ones!
Got a new pushchair coming today. So excited! (Mental note to get a life)
Fed up with second hand - 4 kids and have never had new so sod it! Dh had a moan til i pointed out it cost less than his new fishing gear! Blardy men!

MaeWest · 18/05/2007 08:18

Hi Us - hope you have a good day with your sister, sorry things have been rough for you, glad you're working it out

DS STILL teething (think the top 4 are trying to break through at the same time). Last night hellish, wouldn't go to sleep until after 9.30 last night (about 3 hrs after he normally does). Started off fun and games, scooting around the cot, sticking his arms through the bars to play with the birth ball etc but ended in screaming ab dabs, too het up to even b-feed to sleep . Yelling at regular intervals throughout the night as well, must be really sore for the little dude. Also rivers of snot - anyone else's babe get this when teething?

Bit of the mini meet-up, love the babes in pushchairs pic . I need train-able location too for big meet-up.

got to go - it's that shitty time of the day again...

SleepIsForTheWeak · 18/05/2007 09:21

HI all
Yes the meet-up was good, so nice to put faces to words! Cant wait for the proper big un. (Thanks KZ for the photos)
Will have a think about locations.

Lysettes - men get brave on alcohol dont they! So annoying. My DH either goes really funny and amorous, or an arrogant idiot!

beadmum, have a fab weekend!

Us, so sorry things are tough for you, can you both maybe do a weekend away too? Maybe leave Zack with some family and have some couple time? Gawd, I would love to do that but we don't have anyone we could leave Sefton with, although a little family get away would be great too.

Sefton was trying to pull everything off the table yesterday so I said "no no no no no" and he looked at me and said "no"!! Cute, but made me a bit that I must be saying no too much! Although I do repeat it several times when I do say it!
Also, when he crawls somewhere I don't want him to (like aiming for the toilet) and I go to pick him up, he has learnt that if he holds his arms above his heads I can't grip him and have to put him down! Cheeky sod! (quite proud really!)

Have good weekends all!
x

SleepIsForTheWeak · 18/05/2007 09:37

oh, and thanks for the "glamorous" comments... I don't think that I am, however! Just hiding the dark circles behind big sunglasses!

Ceebee74 · 18/05/2007 12:36

What fab photos of the meet-up - so very cute (and ladies - have to agree, very glamorous). Really can't wait for the big one - am more than happy to travel anywhere.

Us - {{{{{hugs}}}}} - hope things do improve but at least by you both admitting there are problems means you can work on solving them.

Pav - Josh used to drink that much milk upto about 10 days ago and then he suddenly decided he didn't want a bottle mid-morning and mid-afternoon (and I mean literally overnight) so now just has 8-9oz first thing in the morning and the same last thing at night. Bit of a shock going from 28-30oz in a day to max of 18oz But he is stubborn and won't drink it if he doesn't want it and I got fed up of throwing the mid-morning and mid-afternoon bottles away so I just don't bother anymore - give him a snack instead. Bit as my baby is growing up. But on the plus side, it is better as I don't feel I am constantly warming up bottles, food and feeding him anymore - I used to feed him 7 times a day!

Right better get on with some work - hi to you all and will post more this weekend (hopefully!)
x

AnnieOleTing · 18/05/2007 13:50

Hi Girls,

So sorry I was a no-show yesterday at the meet-up. I was just frazzled after playgroup, the wans running it were moaning that no one ever wants to help out (even though I was doing my level best...) and then it was 1pm by the time it was all cleared away. DS was very helpful too, carrying loads of stuff for me!! Then I got back to the in-laws and DH moaning there was nothing for lunch, so I whipped up a quick barbeque steak sandwich. twas a bit late by then to be going, and the thought of a London bus and a buggy just did it. So sorry.

Glad ye had a nice time anyway. The photos are lovely. I would have definitely lowered the standards of glamourousness anyway!! Jom, you look familiar! I think I know you from somewhere!! And what Amelia is doing with her hands, the 'All Gone' pose, so funny, Kayley does that too.

Speaking of Kayley, she was up for aaaages again last night. Dunno what's up her sweet ass.

Had a phone call from my brother last night. He NEVER calls me. He called me a couple of weeks back to tell me his wife is pg, so when I saw his name come up on the phone, I thought to myself, oh must be twins. Not really believing it of course! But it is!! They're having twins!! They're in shock at the moment, but absolutely delighted. No history of twins, just a complete surprise. Non-identical apparently, so they must be in different sacs, or whatever. Hilarious.

Just thought I'd share that!

Now then, Sleep I was imagining you saying No no no no no like yer man off Vicar of Dibley, but having seen your photo now, maybe not!

Mae, hugs to you, hope those teeth make an appearance soon.

Us, hugs to you too, hope things work themselves out with your DH.

HC, nice to see you smile! How's things now?

Lysettes, I'm with you on drunken Dh's... what are they like?

KZ I heard some people in the lifts gassing, and I just caught a bit what went:
'A lovely Irish name'
'Oh yes, and they're both Aussies'
You are world famous!!
BTW now that I know what your first name really is, I can stop thinking of you as Katherine Zeta...

Kayley is 10 months today!!!
Happy 10 month birthday to Thomas, Chloe and Abbey too

Best go girls.

Have a good weekend

Annie

frenchleave · 18/05/2007 14:16

Hi all, looks like you had a good time at the mini meet-up.

Lysettes - Thomas looks young too, probably because he's nowhere near as strong and mobile as everyone else's LOs. He pulls himself up onto his knees in his cot and bath, but that's about it! Am amazed at the talking ones - T says dada still and has recently added a few other consonants to his repertoire, Beginning to get paranoid that he's way behind where he should be. He

Ten months today, it's going so fast. Happy 10 months to his girlfriends Kayley, Chloe and Abbey too!

Looong weekend here - bank hol yesterday, and no school for the girls today either, and I'm on my own because DH is away visiting his brother. It's bl**dy hard work, wish I had realised I'd have 4 days with all 3 kids before agreeing to let him go He's having a nice time though...

Ceebee74 · 18/05/2007 18:49

Happy Birthday to Thomas, Abbey, Chloe and Kayley

TheGoddessBlossom · 18/05/2007 19:38

happy birthday babes!

Meet up pictures look so great, am very , I wouldn't have known what to do with myself I'd have been so excited to meet you all!!!! Er, I did notice however girls, that you had forgotten to wear your name badges, or had you left them at the cafe or something? It's really not on, please don't let it happen again.....

Lysettes, don't even get me started on annoying husbands when drunk.

And PrettyMum you think you had a hangover? I am telling you, today I have had one of the worst hangovers I have ever had. The clan is gathering for my Dad's 60th birthday party tomorrow night, and my Aussie Aunt was over staying last night (lives on a sheep station in the middle of nowhere) and to say we tied a load on is the understatement of the century. Was sick this morning. Shocking. Kerist have I felt rough today. I know, all my own fault, no sympathy, never drinking again etc....at least it might stop me over indulging at the do tomorrow. SIL is looking after the boys and we are staying over at the hotel, first time I've left Toby, bit antsy to be honest....

Annie, twins, wow how exciting!

My Toby gets more and more adorable every day. Cracks up laughing if you play peepo, just smiles and smiles and eats and smiles. For a baby that can't crawl yet, he's a dab hand at getting across a room

Right, more lard to eat, then a very early night for me.....

Bloss
