Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

kz - charlotte has always done this when filling her nappy, quite embarrassing when out for lunch tho

havent been on for days but have just read everyones posts, lots of them again
all the lo's are getting on so well and photos and videos are lovely as always

charlotte has started to crawl backwards a little but gets annoyed as she wants to go forwards but cant, she seems to be falling over now mostly from sitting which she been fine at for ages

Still no waving here but she has been clapping for a while and got a certificate for this from baby signing class [proud mummy emotion] - clapping is supposed to be one of the first signs they can do certificate is on the fridge

cant believe you are all having lots of rain, scotland must be getting the better weather for once, its lovely here just now, will be raining later tho i bet

have a good day ladies xx

HumphreysCorner · 15/05/2007 10:57

When I went in to Sophie last night as she was crying I found her sat up. She did the same this morning-made me . Will have to lower the mattress now methinks.

Day 4 of the dreaded migraine so should be gone by tomorrow-grrrhhh!!!

Not nice weather here either.

Happy 10 month B'Days to those babs who are. My bababoo will be 11 months in 12 days. As soon as the Christening is over I have to start planning her 1st B'Day. Have already bought her a Fifi sit and ride thing from Wilkos. Was on offer so hope the wheels stay on!

Have just tidied Em's bedroom-a mammoth task especially with Sophie tipping everything up. Having a well earned cuppa.

Love and hugs to all.

numptysmummy · 15/05/2007 11:06

Good morning all, tipping down here too. County show thurs, fri and sat and it's always wet for that. Meant to go but can't face dragging 4 kids thru mud just to look at some tractors and cows which they do at home anyway. Ella was waving but has forgotten how in favour of clapping. She's also learnt how to stand on her knees iyswim and rocks on them for ages. Still cruising and can stand when she doesn't think about it.Sleep still as pants as ever. Ds2 (2and hlf) is having the most horrendous paddys again.Have a theory that they are caused by growth spurts which in turn make them tired as ds1 is the same.Have little tasters of how nice life could be and then one or the other reverts to child from hell. Dd1 still struggling with being dry at night - she has a chromosome disorder, add and asd and is wired to the moon at mo so all in all feeling pretty shite here.(Tho not enough to not be broody!!!!)

MaeWest · 15/05/2007 11:35

Woohoo! only up once in the night (quick feed at 1ish) then back to sleep until just before 7am! Well, he did wake a few times in the evening. The first time was so cute, DS was crying so went in to him, stood by the cot and said 'shh, go back to sleep', at this DS gave a swallowed sob, stuck his thumb in, wriggled a bit and went back off to sleep . The other times he cried out a bit, but then settled himself . Was completely fighting his nap this morning tho He just wants to be on the go ALL THE TIME, even when he is obviously dropping! I think he may be getting his canines, which is odd as he doesn't have the middle top ones yet.

AnnieOleTing · 15/05/2007 13:23

Hello girls,

Cream crackered today. Kayley was awake half the night, and so was Joey. I think DH was up for more than me though, cos I just conked in the end. He'll be well grumpy when I get home.

The in-laws are down tonight until Saturday.
This means we have to sleep on the floor for four nights. My idea. I'm sick of them hogging the living room, and FIL being almost naked when I go in there in the mornings. Might mean the decking finally gets done though.

[Proud Mummy Moment] Kayley puts her hands up in the air, goes 'all gone' and claps and waves at all the right cues.

KZ at you and DS rofl at Roshi!!

Mae, well done to you, you've nearly cracked it! I got K to sleep in her cot one night after much singing, but the last two nights she's fallen asleep on me on the couch again, so back to square one. 9 times out of ten have to pick her up when she wakes... Really should try harder...

Numpty, hope you're feeling better! You are a superwoman looking after four!!

HC, Sophie sounds so cute, just sitting there waiting for mama!!! K does this too, though now she stands up more (still cute!).

Pavlov! Your DD sounds so adorable! at you crawling after her!!! At least I have DS to do that for me! Yours must be the first Stander Upper??!? Am I right girls?

Too tired today...

Have a good afternoon everyone

Annie

Hoping it's tiredness - had pnd with 1st two, don't fancy it again.Did see gp but (not my usual one) who made me feel guilty as hel about even contemplating taking ads while breastfeeding.Anyone know where to find the edinburgh scale on-line?
Anyway, enough of that - Ella has just climbed onto the foot stool to get to ds2's sandwich! Hope it was afluke and not climbing properly!
Has anyone started planning 1st b'day parties yet? (Bugger, she's up there again - obv not a fluke!!!)

I can't usually but feel i should as dd1 and ds1 b'days were in pnd haze and ds2 was ill. Want balloons, and bouncy castle and pinkness and table sprinkles and more pinkness.
Haven't had a hsewarming and we moved here 2yrs ago so seems good excuse really for huge party. Birthday stuff do really good party things, banners, candles etc- even got a pink "i am 1" tiara.Or is that ever so slightly ott? Ha ha! Poor child! Ds2 and his friend are in the conservatory having babies, slightly worrying as they have his tool box to do it with!

numptysmummy · 15/05/2007 15:21

See - rambling like mental woman now!!

Lysettes · 15/05/2007 18:11

totally know what you mean numpty! about the party, not the rambling you silly thing!

we are having a vaguely kiwi themed party for jacob as dh is a kiwi. classic kiwi fare (as well as the traditional all weathers bbq!), kiwi booze and classic all blacks matches 9that they win of course ) on the tv. o'h and the men hogging the bbq and getting really drunk and then insisting to anyone who will listen that the all blacks are the best team in the entire world ever.....

xxx

numptysmummy · 15/05/2007 18:28

A theme? Hmmmm, must get planning. Anyone else?

numptysmummy · 15/05/2007 18:30

Liking the kiwi idea actually. Well, the beer and thighs bit. (On the t.v that is,not chicken ones)

SleepIsForTheWeak · 15/05/2007 19:42

I guess 1st parties are more for the parents and their friends in a way?
I think we will do a big BBQ so we can all chill in the garden and babies can crawl around..
much chilled wine for the adults obviously!

I want to be last to post tonight !!!! Been reading through and trying to make scribbled notes of replies to everyone, but then hit the vodka . Think I'll go for a lovely bath now (should have done internet shop tonight). DD is in bed and has been since 9pm...... fingers crossed she stays down til morning. She's been a bit better today. Rash has gone down slightly and her nose isn't quite as runny. Hope she gets better soon, DH is really maudling because DD is off colour .....

Night night xx

MaeWest · 16/05/2007 07:34

2-hrly waking from 11 last night - there had better be a fricking tooth to show for this soon!

numptysmummy · 16/05/2007 07:59

Ella didn't wake til 2 !!! Had a lie in as well as dd1 at respite last night. Ds2 at childminders so just me and smallest numpty.Marmallous.Going to have a day shopping, haven't been for ages. Luckily she seems to like going to town - sits as far forward as she can in her push gripping bumper bar and smiling at everyone! No doubt that'll change soon! She had a busy one yesterday, climbing and then later started blowing kisses.Doesn't matter how many you have, all these 1sts never get any less special

agalch · 16/05/2007 08:02

Morning ladies

I had to go to bed at 9pm last night.Unheard of in this house cos i am always up till at least 11pm.DH asked if i was ill.Said err no i have not had had a full night sleep for around 3 years so am just tired.Really feel like the broken sleep every night is starting to take it's toll Look like an old hag atm.

Thanks for your take on the situation with ds1 and his gf,i was almost starting to think maybe i was a loon and she was right.I not saying that i will be so free and easy with ds2 or my girls but ds1 is exceptionally mature for his age so it's different with him iyswim. He read your post over my shoulder KZ and blushed when i showed him what i'd said about him.It was nice to get a kiss and a hug and show him what i think of him.Oh and good point about the babysitting on holiday Wallace(i think it was you Wallace?)

Got diet class tomorrow.Think i prob haven't lost as we had an Indian on Sunday and i had a shed load of pasta last night.DH gets fed up with me saying i can't eat stuff cos of the diet cos he thinks i look great as i am.He likes the way i am so much more confident too.Our ahem sex life is better than it's been for yearsit's amazing what losing weight/getting married does to your libido lol.

Eilidh still no teeth,is bum shuffling a bit and getting onto her knees but not crawling. She still waving loads and my mum and dad were just about in tears cos they think she is soooo clever/cute lol.Have to put hairbands on Eilidh every day now to keep the hair out of her eyes and mouth and off her face. She does look sweet.

Better go and make ds2's lunch for school and get girls ready for toddler group.Ds1 still on exam leave, sat maths yesterday and felt pretty confident so fingers crossed he does ok.

Have a good day xx

Can't remember what everyone says or posts but hello to all of you xx

Lysettes · 16/05/2007 09:01

morning everyone!

jacob is now coughing like an old smoker! he's on antibiotics but if not better by next week i think we are getting a chest x-ray done.

first waking last night was 430! it's just getting a bit better n ight by night - fingers crossed it carries on

numpty - totally agree with the thighs! those rugby players. and dh wonders why i'm more than happy to sit through rerun after rerun of matches! he didn't get it either when i used to sit through football italia on C4 without uttering a peep

anyway, off to swimming with the little man and then some errands to run - jacob has started really just sleeping in his buggy - must be pretty shattered as he's sleeping well at night now!

stay dry everyone, it's supposed to rain again today
