kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

Lysettes, hope he's better soon.Really paranoid about coughs, Ella was admitted with a chest infection when she was 6 days old(god knows how she picked it up) so at the first sign of anything like that we're at the docs.

Not raining here - yet - so we're off shopping in a mo. Had a friend here
this morning who is due july 13th! Weird watching Ella and thinking this time last yr i was washing baby clothes etc. Proper proper broody now. Asked dh again last night. He says he wants a life but i think we've game overed on that all ready!

AnnieOleTing · 16/05/2007 15:47

Hi girls,

Been looking down a microscope all day dissecting bits of mozzies. My eyes are a bit fuzzy now.

Well the in-laws are down, so the tongue-biting, counting to ten, and doing things in other rooms has started. So far, so good. Tolerance, tolerance.

Slept better last night too. Me and DH on the floor in the DC's room! So when Kayley woke up to come in our bed, she too came on the floor with us. In the morning she just crawled off by herself, so didn't even have to stir! Great. I had a great night's sleep! DH couldn't sleep though... He'll have to bunk in with the PILs tonight then!!

Numpty did you go to see the Doc? Hope you feel alright. More babies?? Don't you want to go to sleep ever? (know what you mean though!)

Mae, at your being woken all night. Any sign of that tooth?

KZ LOL at Roshi's man farts!

Might see you Londoners tomorrow. Have emailed you.

Have a good day everyone

Annie

Lysettes · 16/05/2007 16:50

annie,

am officially opting out of the londoners mini meet up - too much to do before scotland on friday morning (taxi coming at 7am!!!), and don't want to risk jacob being ill (more so) and making us not able to go.

mozzies...had a huge one in our bathroom the other night and i mean proper huge! body must have been about 1.5 cms long. will try and trap it if i see it again and send it to you

forgot to say i weighed on tuesday - 11st 4 - so another 2lbs gone! still far too flabby though...

MaeWest · 16/05/2007 20:13

Well have administered both herbal teething powders and calpol tonight, in a hippy/traditional belt and braces combo. Can see the little blighters in his top gum, just straining to be out. Weirdly on the sides tho, so looks like he will have fangs for a while

Went into town on the bus to the farmers market today. DS spent the journey home sitting on an old ladies lap (she had 4 great-grandchildren). She offered to take him while I was getting on the bus, and then he was perfectly happy sitting there flirting . Fishcakes and organic asparagus for tea.

MaeWest · 16/05/2007 20:13

must point out that the woman on the bus did not have the aforementioned great-grandchildren with her at the time...

Hi Girls
Just nipping on to say hi.

Kayzed ? blimey, real words! She?s a bright little girl.

Mae ? good luck tonight.

We?re okay here, she?s standing up (clutching on to the bars of the cot)! Don?t think she?s going to crawl, apparently I didn?t either. She still cries and buries her face in the floor when you put her on her tummy, bless. Lots of clapping too, and dancing and singing (kind of ) along to music.

Will do a proper catch up soon, hope everyone?s okay, hugs to all the poorly little ones.

We tried Alex with a fish finger (batter removed) with her lunch today...... boy did she love it . I have never seen her shovel something in so quickly and well, hardly any ended up on the floor (my usual marker as to how she's enjoyed things!!).

She had asparagus for the 1st time on Sunday night, then came out in that big rash on Monday morning, so hoping to goodness she's not allergic to asparagus (just had tesco delivery with 2 more big packs - LOVE the stuff!). Will keep her off it for a few weeks, then try her again (mental note:buy Piriton just in case!).

Hope everyone else's LO's are getting better gradually.

Still no teeth here....... at this rate she'll be 15 with nothing to attach the braces to

Must dash, hot bath already run with magazine and drink next to it

sohappyicouldcry · 16/05/2007 23:17

By the way, her rash has now gone completely, so it's obviously not measles or chicken pox .

Night all xx

Twinklemegan · 16/05/2007 23:59

Sohappy - what was the rash like? I think Aidan had an allergic reaction to egg, or tuna, not sure which. It was a bright red rash all over his tummy and chest and upper arms which turned bumpy after a while, a bit like a nettle rash.

TheGoddessBlossom · 17/05/2007 07:51

so Toby has just eaten a piece of jammy toast, a weetabix, a satsuma and half a banana for brekkie. Refuses to eat anything I have home cooked for him off a spoon these days however, and no jars at all, so it is the same finger food everyday pretty much, he must be so bored!

Have a great meet up today girls, I looked up the place you are meeting and it was 1 hhour 47 minutes drive, and that's if you know where you are going, so I thought that might be a bit much for the boys, and I am positive I would get lost....

numptysmummy · 17/05/2007 08:32

Where does he put it? Struggle to get a yog and a few cheerios into Ella! Think she has more teeth coming, not a happy babe this morning . Another disgusting day here, that'll be me housebound again. And i never did go out ystday.Bought a lovely new pushchair from e-bay tho. If it ever gets nice enough to use it again!
Still not got to the docs. So up and down - just when i think i'll go i feel better again.Dh thinks there's summat up but he's in denial that it's pnd again. He really went thru it the last 2 times, bless him.
Dd1 and ds1 are fighting now - catch you all later.

Ceebee74 · 17/05/2007 08:49

Hey all - am on a computer course today (yawn!) and am waiting for it to start.

Just wanted to say hope the mini meet-up goes well - tell us all about it (and each other ) tonight.

PavlovtheCat · 17/05/2007 09:01

hey, not had a chance to catch up on posts properly yet...
Blos - DD often refuses my food too! but loves this powdered stuff we were given. Gave it a go once when she refused anything else, and she loved it .

How much milk do you all feed your lo's now? I am just wondering as I always worry she does drink enough.
Her eating habits are as follows:
7:am - BF.
8am toast&philly or scrambled egg. Banana, half a weetabix with milk/porridge with milk
10:30am - 6-7oz milk
12:30pm - whole pot of food (fish, cheese leeks/pasta and sauce etc), half-1 pot of fruit, yoghurt or similar, finger food (fruit/vegetables)
2:30pm - 6-7 oz milk
4:30pm - half-1 pot of food (mashed vegetables usually), finger food
6:30pm-7pm - half jar rice pud or similar
7:00pm - 6-7 milk + BF.

Enough? I am sure it is, but just worry about the milk side of it.

She has another tooth through. Might have told you all that...7 now!

PavlovtheCat · 17/05/2007 09:05

KZ Wow your LO is talkng!!! DD has said some words, but I dont think she meant them to be! She says 'Ed' a lot. keep asking her who Ed is!! She points at things and says 'ed' or 'dat' which I take as 'that' but am probably clutching at straws! She has only just started saying dadada!
I agree tho, 10 months old, very understanding! She plays peekabo sooo well, and she bangs her thigh in 'tim' to music now, or nods her head. She 'reads' books too! points at pictures of babies and makes sounds...and generally just chats away to herlsef non stop!

PavlovtheCat · 17/05/2007 09:09

Numpty - I told DP we were having another one! Well, I said, I would like one. He said 'I know, you have made that clear'!!! we agreed, when DD is 2.5 we would talk about it again, but he was not sure, I said of course it has to be a joint decision. Then yesterday, I said to him during a conversation 'when we have another one...' and he said 'dont I have any say about this then'!!! I also said ealier maybe another two would be nice, he told me I was scaring him! SO I scrapped that idea. For now!

numptysmummy · 17/05/2007 09:47

Hoping that if i quietly keep suggesting it he'll come round. After all,we were only going to have 2
Trouble is,i don't know when i'd stop!

skay · 17/05/2007 15:28

Sohappy - Did you find out what caused the rash?

Kavya came out in a rash last week took her to the dr. He siad they were Hives and gave me some antihistamine (sp?) for her rash now gone, we think it was due to strawberries.

Lysettes · 17/05/2007 15:43

jsut quickly i had hives a couple of months ago when i hadthat 48 hour virus thingy. the docs said there are a huge amount of viruses going around rather than an allergy... is there a temperature as well? if so it's more likely to be a virus apparently, so I am told!
