Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

Crikey, you've all been busy again on MN this weekend .

Here at puke city we've had week from hell ! Alex has been somewhat under the weather. I was working Thurs Fri Sat so DH had her, she managed to puke all over her cotbed AND her expensive Haba rug, ggrrrr ! Then on Saturday she started with a little snuffle, today we have full-blown streaming nose, weepy eyes, hoarse voice and a very strange rash under her arms, around her neck and on her tummy . Didn't think she was too bad this morning as HV said "it's just a rash" (!) and she ate a whole jar (big one) PLUS 5oz at lunch. For tea though she only had 1 spoonful and 4oz bottle. She's just had 7oz again before bed, but doesn't look like she's going to settle........ She's so snuffly poor love, she's really struggling with her nose . Should be grateful really as this is the first thing she's had so far.

Sorry for long post, know I'm better off than some.

p.s. She was 15lb 12oz today so happy really, just wish I could swap being poorly her

PavlovtheCat · 14/05/2007 21:10

Can I add my name to that list?!
Sorry, not sure what its for as not read posts recently but if its for meeting...I wanna meet too!

Pavlov - Devon! Oh dear, its far isnt it?!

PavlovtheCat · 14/05/2007 21:18

I have not been on for only a few days and I have missed loads

I got to read all the posts to find out what I am missing!!!

DD - well, what can I say. I love her more and more every day [proud mummy emoticon]
Can I list what she can now do, as I am so proud?

Claps hands - been doing it for a while
Waves - as above
Blows kisses - for a week or so. She blows kisses at 'everyone' and everything. She gave her new fox Puppet a kiss the other day. She kisses us first thing in the morning.
Blows on her food! When I pass her something to eat, she makes this little smiley face and blows!
Peekabo - she loves to put towells/her plate/face flannel/clothes etc over her face and then pull it down and we have to go 'boo' or 'there she is' and she giggles hysterically!
Likes being chased - she crawls out into the hallway, stops and waits for me to crawl after her. Then she turns, and crawls away as fast as she can giggling hysterically.
Laughs at everything. She spent 10 mins laughing at me moving my face near her and then away again. LO
She falls asleep resting her head against my shoulders.
She stands up on her own, without realising it! She was in the process of purposefully pulling out all her clothes from her drawer, making her breathing noises that mean she is really concentrating, and she stopped to look at her handywork, just stood back from the drawer, not holding on to anything and looked around, pleased. For about 10 seconds. Then fell, on her bottom, happy!
Oh, I could go on, but i wont! It will only bore you [another proud mummy emoticon]

Oh and she has her 7th tooth!

Jeanie - not sure if you are interested but I am organising a meet-up with other Mners at some gardens in Southport on Tuesday 29 May (half-term) - Southport isn't too far from you is it? Do you fancy it?

Aww Pavlov you sound so proud. Aidan made a couple of "proper" crawling movements forwards on the bed today. He can only crawl properly backwards at the moment lol.

I've not been on for a few days. Would I believe I checked my "threads I'm on" yesterday and there were 0 threads!! Aidan's had a horrible ear infection. We didn't realise it at first because he wasn't pulling at his ear or anything, but after two dreadful nights he developed a high temperature and off we went to the out of hours GP (again - it's getting embarassing). Turned out that not only has he had an ear infection but his ear drum has perforated, poor mite. He must have been in so much pain bless him. He's now on antibiotics which I hate the idea of, but I can't take any risks with his hearing can I?

We seem to be in a pattern at the moment that repeats nearly every week.
Wednesday - nursery
Thursday - me working from home, Aidan crotchety
Friday - Aidan a bit poorly - we wait and see
Friday night/Saturday morning - Aidan really poorly, off to the out of hours clinic

Please tell me this means he won't get everything going when he goes to school!

I've (again) only scanned through all your messages but I remember two things -
KZ - I'm really glad they think it's nothing to be worried about.
Wallace - cuuuute video!
Sorry (again) to everyone I haven't mentioned.

Twinklemegan · 14/05/2007 21:38

CB - I grew up in Southport and my parents still live there. Would love love love to come to the meet up but M&D are away so no other excuse and can't afford the time off work. Damn!

Ceebee74 · 14/05/2007 21:40

Oh Twink - would be lovely to meet you and Aidan

Twinklemegan · 14/05/2007 21:50

Oh - and I see you're meeting in the Botanic Gardens. That's about 2 minutes from M&D's house. Not fair, not fair.

Ceebee74 · 14/05/2007 21:51

Twinkle - are they away all that week cos I am happy to take a day off work if more people can come later on that week.

Twinklemegan · 14/05/2007 21:53

I think so CB - since my dad retired they're hardly ever at home! Thanks for the thought though.

PavlovtheCat · 14/05/2007 21:56

erm where is southport?

Ceebee74 · 14/05/2007 21:58

Ah well - next time you are there and if you have some spare time, we can meet up then

Pav - it is up north (where it rains all the time )

PavlovtheCat · 14/05/2007 21:59

How far north from Devon. Its bloody miles isnt it? I dont think I can come

PavlovtheCat · 14/05/2007 22:02

I am off to have a bath. I have hardly made a dent in the last million threads. I did not know it had been so long...

To all those with birthdays over the last couple of weeks. HAPPY 10 month BIRTHDAYS!!!

I will keep plugging away with the posts, dont write too many more before I catch up

sohappyicouldcry · 14/05/2007 22:30

Well, so far so good, DD is in bed, asleep, snuffling away !!

Well done to all those clever babies for their achievements .....

Can't believe some have SO MANY teeth already !! DD hasn't got any yet......

Unfortunately unable to do northwest meet up on Tuesday, have to work nights on Monday so will be fast asleep, but will dream of sunny weather for you . Thought I'd add my location to list, (thought I already had but still have sieve for brain obviously).

Pav - don't worry about the meet-up, it is one from another thread for us northerners, not the one from here.

Sohappy - if you are interested in a 'North West' July babies meet-up with me and Jeanie (and anyone else who fancies it), we can organise one when we are all free.

As far as the meet-up from here goes, I am happy to travel anywhere - might even persuade DH to take some time off work and make a few days of it.

Anyway, enough about meet-ups

Hope everyone is ok

HC - good to hear from you and hope you start to feel better sooner rather than later

TheGoddessBlossom · 15/05/2007 07:37

KZ I am [email protected]

TheGoddessBlossom · 15/05/2007 07:39

anyone else's family get through 16 satsumas every 3 days? Toby LOVES them, eats at least 2 a day, DH has decided they are his fave and takes 3 to work, H wants one cos Toby is having one, and I go shopping - for satsumas.....

SleepIsForTheWeak · 15/05/2007 08:48

wow, you girls were chatty last night!
Grea to hear all the LOs milestones.

Us, how are you getting on?

HC, good to hear from you! I hope things start improving for you....

KZ, at least there is no immediate worry? When do you have to do the tests and councelling?

Hello, Pavlov! Sefton also loves being chased and chasing , it is so cute isn't it?

SOhappy, Sefton has no teeth yet either

I have registered him for a nursery so will stop being a full time SAHM soon , making the most of our time now. Today we are going to a music class in the morning and then I am going to the local cinema for a parents and babies movie. ALthough I am not sure how wise that is, he is hardly a baby any more! He will probably be crawlingin the aisles

I bought him the ELC toddle truck which arrived yesterday and he likes it, although it is meant to be for over a year (?)
I have seen other similar products for over 9 months. The wheels are quite loose tho - so he goes fast! He refuses to do the walkng motion when you hold him with his feet on the ground (just sits) but he walks nicely pushing things along.

Bloody miserable weather tho huh?

SleepIsForTheWeak · 15/05/2007 08:49

oh, and Bloss, we dont have the satsuma addiction to deal with, but at least it is healthy eh?

kz a spoonful of prune juice in some milk will do it! jacob had that quite early on and it sorted it out

it's raining again i am so fed up of it - we are going to the gym (jacob to the creche) and i'm going to get soaked on the way.

jacob has started sleeping a bit better - he now wakes up around 3.30 for about 3oz and then gets himself back to sleep till 7ish. Am sure that this will go out the window now I have told you all!

anyway, off to brave the rain
