Laughalot- lovely pics!! DS moans initially about being swaddled in his swaddleme, but he sleeps so much better in it.

2happy and PCF am so at your sleeps!!

EAH - hope the christening goes well. We're thinking of having Ben christened in the summer so we can (fingers crossed) have a perty in the garden as we bought a big marquee (sp?) for my 30th last year. It absolutely poured for my 30th tho, serves me right for organising a BBQ in advance in glasgow!!

Does anyone know what wee boys wear for christenings apart from frilly romper suits?

pic n mix has to be cherry lips!!

trixymalixy · 25/03/2007 16:33

For you cloth nappy users out there I have just ordered some really cheap nappies from treehuggermums.com. The sale ends today tho.

Thought I'd give cloth nappies a try, but I'm sure I can resell them on ebay for pretty much what I paid for them if not!

JodieG1 · 25/03/2007 18:24

I don't check in for a day or two and there's tons of posts hehe. Give me something to read later on, haven't caught up yet. Noticed below about Christenings, we got ds1 christened in a lovely little navy suit with a white shirt and gold waistcoat, he looked gorgeous in it I'll try and put a pic on my profile in a min of it so you can see what it was like.

JodieG1 · 25/03/2007 18:28

Did it, it's on my profile now. I'll try and get the photos from the camera onto the pc in a few minutes and add some more of Ethan

theUrbanDryad · 25/03/2007 19:21

hi everyone - you lot sure can talk!!

well this daylight daving malarkey is a bit of a nightmare - zac gave me a very odd look when i started to put him to bed, like, "it's still daylight mum! wtf are you doing?"

he's very snuffly, also has massive bogies. we got him some saline drops - he hates having them put in but they do seem to work! he must have very narrow nostrils though, as fishing the bogies out with either LTH's patented bogy extractor or 2Happy's rolled up muslin doesn't work for him!! bizarre....

RGee · 25/03/2007 20:18

But the bogies are so HUUUGGEEE that there is immense satisfaction on both mine and lo's part when they do come out.

Bad Mother Part Two: went to watch DH in a 10km race this morning. Normally am the most organised person in the world, but due to bad night, only got up 15 mins before we had to go. DD decides when we were out to do the most explosive poo ever, which goes all over her legs, up her front, and in to her lady folds. I think, no problem, I am the most organised person in the world and I know I have a spillion nappies, wipes, change of clothes etc in bag. Errr....no clothes. I took them out yesterday for some reason. Poor DD then screams head off for 15 minutes as she is forced to lie in pram with sopping pooey clothes on as we wait for DH to finish. DH is then forced to take us home immediately instead of congratulating all his running mates as they finish. Bad mother. I've put clothes back in the bag by the way.

LTH i won't tell DH you've been on, but do you think you could post some sort of picture or diagram of your bogey extractor? you've thoroughly confused me.

ellieandhattie · 25/03/2007 21:14

Hello all busy here today

Had a lovely day but dd's were so well behaved and Hattie really good at being passed around although got overtired so had a bit of trouble to get her to sleep tonight. The service was great as the vicar is very modern and family friendly we ended up with having 5 children at the font as both sets of godparents kids and Ellie came too! Hattie slept through the whole service and baptism part sort of half opened her eyes at the water part and then went back to sleep just like her father can kip anywhere.

Party at IL's went really well and weather been lovely so all the children were playing in the garden with the balloons.

We opened the presents at il's earlier when lots of people had gone and Hattie accumulated 5 moneyboxes 1 of them are lovely so am keeping that one out (very similar to ellies moneybox) but 2 sets of friends gave us the receipts so we could swap them and the other 2 are silver so keeping them in boxes as can't be cleaning silver! Got lots of trinket boxes and £140cash/cheques for her savings. But some really special presents were a glass block with her photo and name lasered in to it (sounds weird but is lovely Ellie had one of these to)from my parents and brother and Il's gave us one of those professionally printed books with photos and captions of Hattie from birth to 8 weeks includes pictures of her with every direct family member on that side plus some extra ones with my parents brother etc, she got 2 lovely sets of china plates/bowls for when shes older and a clock with her name on whih I have just hung in her room. But feeling very at the amount of stuff she got cant't even remember it all.

DH, Ellie and Hattie all fast asleep and spoke to MIL and fil flat out on sofa and apparently my dad is too so mil and I have done majority of work (plus my mum) and we are awake and tidying up but all the others asleep. Forgot my camera so will put some pics on when they are emailed to me

JodieG1 · 25/03/2007 21:22

Had a major clean up here today, whole house is now tidy and there aren't 5 piles of washing waiting to be put away Bought dd a new lamp for her room so she now sleeps with the door shut ds1 and 2 are still a little ill and poor ds1 isn't eating much and had a 40 degree temp again at bed time so he was dosed up with calpol. Hoping they'll all be better soon so we can go out and do some fun things.

Got a new pic of Ethan on my profile now along with ds1 with his christening clothes on, they're gorgeous hehe

wilkie · 25/03/2007 21:22

RGee - where you at the Lincoln 10K run today by any chance??

wilkie · 25/03/2007 21:26

'were' not 'where'

LadyTophamHatt · 25/03/2007 21:44

UD, Baby bogey extractor instructions on my profile.....

trixymalixy · 25/03/2007 21:54

Aww Jodie, he looks gorgeous.

I've just had a look on the next website and they have cute wee christening outfits for boys.

Laughalot, I live on the south side in Glasgow. How come your brother is in Glasgow? Did he move up here for work?

trixymalixy · 25/03/2007 21:56

aaargh, a farking tomcat has just come up to the living room window and sprayed on the outside of it. Now the whole living room is absolutely stinking!!

Am hatching booby trap plans to rig up some kind of system to pour a bucket of water over it next time I see it at the window!!!!!

wilkie · 25/03/2007 21:56

LTH - how the hell do you have time for that with 4 DS - absolutely PMSL, ROFL, LOL (in fact a bit of wee just came out....!!! )

Dragonhart · 25/03/2007 23:34

Had a lovely sat. Went to Blue Planet Aquarium in Elsmere Port with Sis, BIL, Mum and us four.L loved it and spent the whole day saying 'wow!'. R was a bit o a nightmare when we went for a meal but appart form that was a lovely day. Finished it off with a curry lastnight which was lovely but...

...we have paid for it tonight as R has had really bad wind. she has cried all evening pretty mucha nd keeps doing stinky farts! Gone to sleep now so finger crossed.

Laughalot, I think swaddleme is a bit looser than the way I used to wrap R and L up in a blanket so maybe your lo just needs to get used to it? R prefers it now and hates it if I use a blanket if we are not at home.

Have just read all the messages but my frazzled brain cannot think what I have read so will go to bed now.

Oh, glad today went well EAH.

and love all the new photos everyone has put on. We all have gorgeous babies on this thread
