Just realised when I tried to join the "cute baby boys" gang that I hadn't made my profile public.... DUH! Thought DS must be ugly or something coz everyone ignored them!!! Hopefully, they're working now!

Lizzzombie · 24/03/2007 17:31

ah! the one with him and his sister is very cute!

Shimmer · 24/03/2007 17:57

Hi all. Had DPs mum and dad and sister and brother-in-law round today. I'd only met them once before so was feeling a bit nervous but it all went really well I think. And of course they loved freddie and brought him lots of presents. I think that little man has more clothes than me and DP together now!!

Poor old katierocket. Sounds like she's having a really rough time. Wouldn't say it on her thread but makes me feel quite lucky that freddie's pretty good and contented most of the time.

have you all remembered the clocks go forward tonight? Urrr... it is tonight isn't it? That means that when F wakes up at 6 tomorrow morning, it'll be 7 already! Horray! Funny, it's the opposite of when i was working and childless and used to feel i was losing an hour and having to get up earlier, now i'm quitye glad to be losing the hour because it means i'm not up so early. Ummm... wow, i just really confused myself. Did that make any sense at all???

Shimmer · 24/03/2007 18:00

Love the pictures saltcod. Just looked at yours too Lizz- that 'cheeky' tshirt is ace. Freddie has a blue one like that that says 'dude' which i love too! Carrotcake -where's your profile? We want pictures!!!

Muckypup · 24/03/2007 18:10

Hi saltcod - My DS is BF and feeds every couple of hours during the day. Every day is different but here's an example:

7am, 9am, (nap) 11.30am (nap) 2pm, (nap) 4pm (very short nap) 5.30pm 6.30pm

Naps are about 45 minutes

Nights he sleeps through to 12am and then til 3am and then til 6am but there's no way I'm feeding him at 6am so if a dummy doesn't work it's onto my dummy for a cuddle to sleep until 7am.

I think the night times are fairly typical from looking at everyone elses. No sign that he's getting ready to give up any of the feeds yet.

Today I had lots of friends to visit which was good fun. None of my mates have babys so I feel like I miss out on a lot of their outings now.

ellieandhattie · 24/03/2007 18:10

2Happy - gorgeous photo of dh and ds

Had a lovely day today. Went to visit my best friend from school who had come down from Scotland with her 10 month old. Her mum was playing host and for lunch we had sandwiches, followed by apple pie, merangue, macaroons, and chocolate cake!! How lardy am I??!!

So, none of us will be woken up between 1am and 2am tonight. There's a first

Lizzzombie · 24/03/2007 19:43

Mmm, pic n mix...!

carrotcake · 24/03/2007 20:52

Rgee, sounds like a good lunch!

Eah- the tooth feels a bit better thanks, I really hope it's settling down rather than the dentist getting the wrong tooth, I know which SEEMS more likely but anxst gets the better of me!

Hello saltcod (Is talking about yourself in the third person a sign of madness?) Felix frequently feeds every hour during the day and other times goes for 2-3 hours. I reckon sometimes he's just thirsty/needs comfort, and are they supposed to be controlling the milk supply by how much they feed?

Shimmer- sorting out my profile is definitely on my to-do list, am looking forward to getting little Felix's photos up there with the others!

I feel better about how often LO wakes in the night after looking at bf network and la leche leage. They said if you're not really sure how often you wake up, then you're probably not really waking up enough for it to be a huge problem, and actually, it is since I've been sitting up to check the time to see how many nights feeds there are, that I've been feeling worse. I suppose that only works if you're co-sleeping, not having to move but I shall go back to not bothering with time and see if I feel better. He starts off in his cot, but ALWAYS ends up in our bed in the night. Anyone else do this or am I the only one?

carrotcake · 24/03/2007 20:55

The best bit of pic n mix is are those big jelly strawberries. Mmm, closely followed by fizzy chips

laughalot · 24/03/2007 21:13

Hee Hee you lot dident notice that I had gone well my bloody computer broke friday dh got back from his week away and I broke the news , when we got up today I told him we need to go and buy one he laughed in my face I told him it was no laughing matter and I couldnt survive without mn as you can see I got my own way and hopefully now I can upload pics of the kids the other one was well old and wouldnt let me do it. TMI ALERT guess what I bought as well today a DISCO DICK from ann summers im trying or so I try and let dh think that.

Eah good luck from tomorrow

Lauren slept through thursday night but was shit last night.....

saltcod · 24/03/2007 21:52

Muckypup, your routine sounds similar to ours.... but without most of the naps & with a couple of extra feeds! Almost identical to you at night... last feed at about 23.30, then 04.00 then 06.00ish (feed him lying down in bed for this one).

Hi Carrotcake, glad there's a few of us with "snacky" feeders!

Pick n mix.... the white mice every time

saltcod · 24/03/2007 21:54

Carrotcake, forgot to say DS won't sleep in his crib either.... we co-sleep

Pick n mix - cola bottles or those jelly sweets that look like rings

We are looking at hols for next year going with neighbours who have dd's same ages age as e and h she suggested dominicn republic but I would not want to inflick (sp?) Ellie on anyone on that length plane journey she would have to be drugged (BA Barrackas style from the a team do you remember that?)

If I can will post some pics tonight x

2Happy · 25/03/2007 09:06

Hope the christening goes well EandH x
What is a disco dick?? (I could guess, but actually am not sure I want to know!)
CC I don't normally co-sleep, but must admit it's a lovely feeling when I do, and ds2 seems to sleep well on it too

Well dh took ds2 last night for the first time ever, just brought him in for feeds, and I got 10 hours sleep!!!!! Bloody fantstic! Sets me up well for the day - more gardening. We got the skip on friday, and my parents came round and were amazing helping us blitz the garden - the skip is already full - and we're going to need a second one! The garden really was full of rubbish. Can't wait to have a beautiful place to sit out in this summer

White mice, saltcod, urrgh, they're nearly as bad as those white fish and chips, remember them? but not as bad as foam bananas! We had a dragon in our sweet shop, whenever you wanted a 15p mix up, you weren't allowed to choose and she ALWAYS gave me foam bananas. In my mind she has morphed into the one from Roald Dahl's 'Boy', but I'm sure she was perfectly ordinary.

I'm glad someone else has LO'S in their bed. Last night I fed him at eleven and thought I'll put him back in the cot in a minute but when I lay next to him, he kept chuckling and grinning (I managed not to smile and look as if my eyes were closed, very hard) and after a few minutes he just went to sleep, sooo sweet, I know, I'm a sucker

Laughalot Is that all singing all dancing with lights, and music?

Have a great day, EAH, the weather is lovely here, hope it is where you are. Looking forward too seeing the pictures.

2happy, 10 hours no wonder you feel like gardening! We're getting a skip too next week, our house and garden is full of so much crap, there are too many dump trips to make. I can't wait to sit outside with a gin and tonic too. Roll on summer.

Hi everyoe hope you are all well, we are full of colds in our house so the kids arent sleeping that great we get to about 4 oclock with lauren and then she is ever so unsetteled.

Dragon lauren is not getting on too well with the swaddle me I dont know why because its only like being swaddeled in a sheet.

Lauren has her hospital appointment tomorrow about her hips so we are hoping all is going to be ok .

Eah cant wait to see your pics.

RGee · 25/03/2007 13:36

You lucky folk with a great night sleep . LO has huge bogey stuck up her nose (unreachable at present) so was snorting down the moniter all night. Anyone tried saline drips?

Laughalot - am most intrigued by the 'disco' element of the dick. Is it as CC describes? PMSL if it is.

Do any of you remember when they sold candy cigarettes in a pack (I am showing my age again)? All this sweetie talk. Can't believe I used to have those when I was about four years old to be grown up. I really hate smoking too! Fizzy cola bottles defnitely the way forward. Do they still make spangles? I remember always choking on those.

wilkie · 25/03/2007 14:06

Afternoon all. You all have been chatting far too much so Im not doing personals (Lazy Wilkie!!!!)

Left J at mum and dad's last night whilst we went out for a very posh meal (cost f*cking £100!!!!!!!...for two of us!!!) but it was a triple celebration for J's birth, DH passing exams and DH has an interview for a FANTASTIC job that I really really want him to get. Can't say anymore at present but fingers crossed for Weds!

Don't like this clocks forward malarky - it's thrown J's feeding cycle totally out of sync!

Anyway, Ive got nothing much to report and am just rambling on.

My fave pic n mix was those red, fizzy belts. I remember those candy cigarettes - we used to have a competition to see who could suck theirs into the sharpest point. Bless.

2Happy · 25/03/2007 14:14

Cola bottles or pear drops...can't decide!
