And huge respect to EaH, without whose efforts we never would have had a list

(And yes, I am one of those sad people who finds things like temperature sensors in cars really interesting. Nerd.)

My little boy is going bald!!!!

He had loads of brown hair at first but I noticed yesterday that its all falling out and he looks like a monk from the back. Think its a different colour underneath too.

Whoever wanted to know I've got a nipper 360 and its great. the only downside is that you do need quite a big boot, and the raincover is not integral so you have to make a special effort to remember it if it looks like rain.

Breast pads - dont leave the house without a spare pair. I use washable ones and they have got softer as times gone on but they still look like dinnerplates under a top

I have also got these fab plastic collector things that I can put on the opposite boob when feeding (obviously in the privacy of my own home) to collect the milk that leaks and then freeze it ! Comes in useful when starting weaning and need to mix with baby rice etc.

UD are you mad - barefoot in this weather presumably you've not got snow ? I'm still in wellies !

Shimmer · 20/03/2007 12:50

Good God you ladies chat a lot. Just about to start ironing but thought i'd just check up on you all first and it's now about half an hour later!!

Don't even know where to start now... PMSL at LOADS of things this morning... obviously LTH's LOs teeth!! He is gorgeous btw! Then Wilkie's beautifully graphic discription of UD scuttling out of a cubicle in a public loo with her pants around her ankles to rinse her mooncup!! And carrotcake can't believe your friend used one to 'water' her plants! Really? Can that really be good for them?

Am going to try the hungry baby milk too. Freddies not doing too badly but does still always wake up for feeding at 3/4, and drinks a full bottle so i know he's hungry.

Muckypup my DP thinks dreamfeeding is too weird as well and refuses to do it! Personally, i think this is just an excuse so he doesn't have to move his arse from in front of the telly in the evening, but just thought i'd let you know you're not alone!!

Lizzzombie · 20/03/2007 12:52

LTH - where did u get that dummy from? its fab, i've been looking 4 one like it 4 ages!

Lizzzombie · 20/03/2007 13:04

www.babysmiles.co.uk/dummies.htm

found them!

wilkie · 20/03/2007 13:15

PCF - I had to make our appointment for jabs, they didn't send one thru

Oooo, I just bought the latest 'Heat', am going to settle down with a cuppa and have a good read while J is asleep in his bouncy chair...

Hi wilkies little man (how cute is he)

wilkie · 20/03/2007 14:07

[proud mother emotion]

carrotcake · 20/03/2007 15:48

He is very sweet, Wilkie. I want to make a profile now so you can all tell me how cute MY baby is, ha ha. Has anyone not got Dirty Dancing on their favorite films list? That soundtrack always comes out when we have drunken school reunions..''Do you lurv me, tra la, do you lurv me...

ellieandhattie · 20/03/2007 16:28

When I was in hospital week before xmas having had a bleed and some contractions that died off but had to stay in for obervations, dh bought me in ellies portable dvd player and dirty dancing, cocktail and top gun dvds. I was in my element got a whole night dvd viewing with no children interrupting and ended up watching the dirty dancing with the otehr patients that were on my bay

carrotcake · 20/03/2007 16:36

did you all sing, EAH, or cringe together with 'nobody puts baby in the corner'? Ha ha, I've never seen cocktail but Tom Cruise was quite nice in topgun wasn't he, I quite liked legend too, but in fact I sort of fancied Tim Curry, the devil more. Oh dear, probably shouldn't have admitted that

RGee · 20/03/2007 16:39

Love the photos Wilkie. And LTH - pmsl at teeth [GRIN]

You;ve all had a busy day haven't you! Obviously just jealous I've been out today and missed out on all the chat . Actually, we went swimming in a hydrotherapy pool which my mate had hired exclusively, and it was great.

Carrotcake - 'murder capital' and 'baking a friend '???!!!

ellieandhattie · 20/03/2007 16:42

I think we were all sitting there saying 'they don't make films like this anymore' actually dirty dancing was a xmas present but dh undid it and bought it in to cheer me up. Cocktail is one of my all time favs, we even went to Jamaica on our honeymoon because I thought it looked fab on that film (dh wanted to go to Italy - still have my suspicions it was to watch football )

RGee · 20/03/2007 16:42

2Happy - nearly 500 messages on this. Time for a new thread. No pressure....(silently hums Bowie and Queen under breath)

wilkie · 20/03/2007 16:58

I got Grease DVD for Xmas (Vino - my fellow Grease lover where are you??!). It was a special edition with a 'Karaoke Singalong' DVD

Dirty Dancing is fab and Patrick Swayze is HOT!

Interesting fact: Did you know that Mindy (Rachel's ex best friend in Friends) is Jennifer Grey?? She had a nose job after DD and is virtually unrecognisable. God I'm sad

carrotcake · 20/03/2007 17:05

She's also the moody sister in Ferris Bueller's day off, and the girlfriend in that, is the princess in legend I am sad too!

ellieandhattie · 20/03/2007 17:06

I have Grease as well cant beat it on a rainy windy sunday sfternoon when theres naff all on the tv

Lizzzombie · 20/03/2007 17:14

I am so jealous - I really wanted the karaoke version of grease for Xmas - but I am sadder than you...I actually prefer Grease 2 (I know - its sounds blasphamous - but I love it!)
And Ferris Buellers Day off is another favourite. I have a "Save Ferris" t-shirt and a badge too. I am such a saddo!
And Wizard of Oz is another great one - has anyone seen the karaoke version of this at the cinema? Its great, people dress up and sing along to the whole film! Final secret shame has to be the Labryinth. David Bowie in Lycra. OMG...he is sooooo sexy! sexydave

Lizzzombie · 20/03/2007 17:14

I think I may be a Gay man trapped inside a womans body!

Shimmer · 20/03/2007 17:19

Hi all. Just got back from tesco and it started snowing as soon as I got in Not so used to it in this part of the country! Bought a couple of little ready made cartons of stage 2 hungry baby milk for Freddie to try out tonight. EAH our feeding times are almost exactly the same as yours - (though the 1st ones at 7,not 6 cos i REFUSE to get up and feed that early when he's only had a bottle a few hours before) Not sure whether to give the new milk at 6pm AND 10pm. Maybe just the 10pm one to start with.... I wonder if it tastes different? Don't want to wake him up for a dream feed and confuse him when he's half asleep with different milk

Have had the ironing board out since 10 this morning and still haven't done any ironing....
