mygirl no not at all,ive recommended a friend to the site and stupid me (baby brain) told her my talk name, and ive started a thread about my current realtionship with dh,and dint really want anyone in rl to know about it.But i dont care now im past caring,dh is doing my head in grrrr.Been awake since literally 1.30am ds awake every half hour woke up at 8am,and hasnt been to sleep since, lol oh except when i took him out in his pram,he fell asleep as soon as we got home, wide awake again, his fingers and fist have been constantly in his mouth any ideas? is he teething? what do i look for?

Bethbe · 11/03/2007 19:07

Hiya all

LOL @ NJ - sorry to hear shopping wasn't so much fun!

Stacey: I'm a serial returner! If I find something I think I like, I buy it and the sizes either side on a store card (so it isn't MY money) - then I try it on at home with my other clothes/shoes etc. and return the ones that don't fit, - or all of them. I HATE trying things on in shops - queues, dodgy lighting, slanted mirrors designed to make you look thinner, all that on and off rubbish in a space Kate Moss wouldn't fit in!

Debbsyandson · 11/03/2007 19:29

Podglet sounds like a lovely shopping trip,nj agree with my girl it is sods law, althuogh there is a fab website called asos.com i get quite alot of stuff from there.

morning all, well ds is still pssing around with food, have tried everything* and am now at the end of my tether!! thik he's teething tho, he was biting my finger the other day and it really hurt, dd never hurt me by biting, poor ds must be uncomfortable! he was quite happy to munch on the gingerbread mans leg that dd fed him at a bday party the other day was extremely upset when i took it off him!!!!

must go and get on with the housework, got young mums this afternoon which should be lovely!

fatbetty · 12/03/2007 13:32

Hi All! It's been a while since I've been back and haven't had a chance to go through all the postings.

Bethbe, I'm with you about buying a few sizes and then return them. I actually have some trousers that I need to return!

Have had a horrible week. DS1 and DS2 have been passing a fever back and forth with each other. Luckily DD3 has managed to stay healthy! I think she must be teething/hitting a growth spurt as well as she is dribbling and waking up loads. I feel like a walking nightmare at the moment. I'm very tired. I think I need a holiday!

Just got DS1 reception placement this morning - so that's something off my mind. However, another mum asked about the placement of DS2 at nursery for September (as they sent out letters last week) and when I called they said they didn't have an application for DS2. They said they would have sent it home with DS1 - but I swear I never received anything. Luckily there is one place left for DS2 - but it's in the afternoon (I really wanted mornings as DS2 will just be 3 and really needs his afternoon nap still). I'm so cross about the whole situation. I don't know where my brain is half the time. Just hope that someone drops out of the morning class.

Hope you all are doing well!

NatalieJane · 12/03/2007 13:39

Morning, or afternoon all

DS1's birthday on Sunday, I can't wait!!! I think I'm more excited than he is, as far as he is concerned he isn't getting very much on the day!! My mum has bought him his desk and we bought him a proper leather faced office chair that goes up and down and round and round, I give him an hour before he falls off it or it tips over, but hey ho, I love A&E I have been and got the last of his pressies today, mostly stationary stuff for his new desk, I used to love having a new desk when I was little, all the new pens and pencils and colouring books etc. I am hoping he will love it as much as I did!

And we have finally got back to only waking once in the night, George went from about 9.30 till nearly 5 o'clock this morning which would have been brilliant if he'd have done it last week when DS1 was off sick, we could have had a lovely lie in instead of getting back to sleep just in time for the alarm to go off!!

Me and DH are both suffering with coughs and colds but the kids seem to have gotten over theirs, hopefully me and DH should be mended by the weekend, my sister and her family are coming up on Saturday her son is 11 and is so good with DS1, DS1 idolises him so he will have a good day

Stacey, can your HV not offer any more advice?

I would love to be able to buy everything I liked and try it on at home, but I already have two pairs of jeans upstairs that I planned to take back before I was pregnant and they are still sat there with their tags on! Organization of such things isn't my forte I'm afraid!

Right I am off to start wrapping pressies up, should get a few done before school finishes xxx

NatalieJane · 12/03/2007 13:42

FB, it is a while till September, you might find he drops the afternoon nap before then, hope things start getting better for you, it doesn't sound like a barrel of laughs at the moment.

Charleesunnysunsun · 12/03/2007 13:42

Hi all!

No hangover for me i don't get em! [insert smug emotion here]

I had a really great time, my sister babysat the boys who behaved perfectly! We had a great dinner with lots of cocktails then went onto a bar for more cocktails then came home!

it was one of my best birthdays!!!!

Harry is doing well he is 13lb 7oz now! I took him back to the g.p about his bleeding niples, we saw our lovley g.p this time who gave hima good check over but said that although it's really rare to bleed it is fine and just hormanal and it will clear up by itself so that's good.
Harry is eating porridge now once a day with either his formula or breast milk in.
I am contemplating weaning him off the breast as now he has teeth he is biting and it bloody hurts! I have done it solidly for nearly 5 months so im pretty pleased with that!

Jack's good he's got s bundle of new found energy which is a challenge but ir's so good to see him well i don;t mind!

Anyway i hope your all well.

NJ health visitor is worse than useless, they keep saying try solids, yes i do but then he wont take his milk, so id rather not as he needs the milk more! just hate it when every bottle means the house gets screamed down! might take him to the gp and see if they can find a reason, poor little mite is bright as a button the rest of the time!!!

NatalieJane · 12/03/2007 15:47

Stacey, have you tried adding more milk to his rice and spoon feeding it? I don't really know what else to suggest. Have you asked some of the feeding guru's on MN?

Really pleased DS1 is playing you up Charlee And I am glad you enjoyed your night out and your birthday, you deserved it after all that has happened these last few months.

staceym11 · 12/03/2007 15:51

if the cosistency is too much like milk he screams, getting to the end of my tether, think i might offload the feeding to dh at the weekend and see if its just me he plays up for!! will report back when i have something more positive to say!

staceym11 · 12/03/2007 16:40

and after having whinged ds was awake from 11-2 (fed at 11) then slept till 4.15 when i just woke him to feed him and hes taken 8oz i cant believe it, had to make more as i ony make 6 oz bottles and he normally doesn't finish them!!!

am completely in cant get my head round it, jsut hope he keeps it up!

NatalieJane · 13/03/2007 09:13

Stacey, I can imagine how frustrating it is for you, but I think he knows when he wants/needs it, I'd say just go with him, if he doesn't seem interested then leave it for an hour or so and see if he wants it then?

We have just had the best school morning I can remember for a long time, and it was all because DS1 ate his breakfast, all of it, in about 10 minutes instead of the hour and a half it normally takes him to eat half of it! There was no nagging (from me ) no shouting and empty threats being made, I even had time to paint my toe nails Why can't he just eat it like that every morning?

And just because I am still beside myself with excitment it is only 5 days till his birthday, whooooohoooooooooooooo

Lovely spring morning here, really sunny and bright and edging into being warm! I have a skirt on

staceym11 · 13/03/2007 09:44

well after his 8oz he slept for 5hrs then took 6 oz, then slept till 3am and took 5oz,
this morning at 9am he took 5 oz again, we'r getting somewhere!!!

NatalieJane · 13/03/2007 10:56

Fingers crossed for you Stacey

oh mygirl hope everything is ok! sorry you're having problems! hope all goes well at gps with dd4, im sure she's fine! and as for dd1 yeah i think takign her back to the shop might shame her into not doing it again.

podglet · 13/03/2007 15:12

Hi all

Mygirl, sorry to hear about DD1, as stacey said, taking her to the shop to confess / pay, may shame her into not doing it again. as for dd4, I hope the GP has some more sensible advice than the HV. They are so silly.

Stacey, keeping fingers crossed that the good feeding continues...

Charlee - how fab that DS1 is being cheeky and messing around v of your cocktails too, I used to work in a pub which had a huge cocktail menu and remember many nights where we sat around making up new weird and wonderful ones after hours

Had DS weighed today and he has only put on 3oz in 2 weeks (now 16lb 2oz). Was a bit upset but the HV isn't too worried as he has grown loads in length (69cm) so he has put all his effort into growing upward not outward!

staceym11 · 13/03/2007 17:42

feeding seems to be going ok, but i cant really remember as have had an afternoon of it.

dh left me earlier, iv managed to convince him to come home tonight but i dont know whats going to come of it but we'll just have to wait and see.

staceym11 · 13/03/2007 17:42

readingthat back i sound a lot more calm than i am, i dont know, cant seem to think!
