Debbsyandson · 13/04/2007 12:31

Sara ill email oyu now i forgot sorry
stace hope your feeling better soon ((hugs))
charlee thanks for letting us know about mygirl is she coming back?

Charleesunnysunsun · 13/04/2007 21:02

I'm not sure if she is coming back she just wanted to reassure us all she was ok.

Anyway all is ok Here Jack is really picking upsince he started his new antibiotics which is fantastic!
Harry is ok i have put him on 3 meals a day now - i know he's not even 6 months yet but he seems to want it and he is loosing wieght so rapidly the HV wants to try and bulk him up, i can gat my hands right round his waist with room to spare which i couldn't before so hopefully now he should pick up again. he seems alot happier this past few days though.

I had they most disgusting thing happen earlier, i put Harry in is bouncy chair for not even a minute without a nappy on while i grabbed the changing bag.
I come back in and he is waist deep in liquid poo snd is giggling whilst splashing it all up the walls by kicking his legs about, it was gross it took a whole kitchen roll to clean it up, harry found it hilarious! Children aye who'd have em?

podglet · 15/04/2007 19:55

Assume everybody is out enjoying the sunshine

We had DS's christening today. It went really well, no hitches as such. It was very hot in the church (they had had the heating on in the morning to keep the old dears warm during the morning service), DS has been an angel all day, didn't cry when he got wet and laughed and giggled at people all day. Am a very proud mummy.

Right, am off to have a well deserved glass of wine and open the pressies

Hope everyone is ok, thanks for letting us know about mygirl Charlee

staceym11 · 16/04/2007 08:05

am that mygirl may not be coming back!.....it'll feel odd on here without her!

podglet im glad the christening went well, what a lovely little boy you have knowing what an important day it was for you and to behave!!

well we went down to brighton yesterday!! it was a great day, dd played with her cousin on the beach and ds was lovely most the day till the way home when he decided to scream in the car (needless to say he was 6hrs overdue for a feed but refused it earlier!)

dh was in a mood as i was drinking beer on the beach (apparantly a loutish thing to do), mind you i did look a bit odd with the can of beer i carried back to the car in my hand and ds on the hip seat oh well, not like i do it all the time!!!

saralou100 · 16/04/2007 11:06

helloooooo!!!!!

podglet, ah bless, did your guests get the best seats in the house? your ds sounds like he loved being centre of attention...

stacey, classy lady!!! cans of beer on the beach.. thats like, law isn't it... isn't it????? next time take a bottle of wine and a straw, see if thats less loutish!!

charlee... pmsl.... i've done that... you know he wouldn't have poo'd if you'd left the nappy on!!!!!

well i had a crap weekend at home... should have been going to a friends wedding, but i couldn't afford it, so we sat in the garden whilst dp was at work, at least the weather was nice!!

Hi! Mygirl has promised she will be back. We had a lovely time the other weekend, her kids are gorgeous! She has asked for her MN registration back, I'll be ringing her later on and will tell her to post soon. (It was all my idiot 'D'H's fault!). KN xxx

Debbsyandson · 16/04/2007 18:25

oh good thanks kimi glad you enjoyed meeting up the other week thanks for letting us know

NatalieJane · 16/04/2007 18:48

Sorry Debbsy, George is poorly again Could we meet up another time? I don't want him to pass his lurgy on. Maybe next week? I hope your friend's op went as well as can be expected - poor her.

Glad to see your meeting went well Kimi - thanks for letting us know.

DH went off to Italy this morning, George is poorly, no fits yet, but only because I have practically selotaped the thermometre to the side of his head, I cocked dinner up big stlye (DH does all the cooking, I don't know how he does it, it is all burny hot and too much bloody thought has to go into it), DS1 is upset because DH isn't coming home tonight.... AAAARRRGHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I need alcohol....

staceym11 · 16/04/2007 20:11

oh kimi thanks for letting us know, i would miss her if she didnt come back!

charlee that is sods law you know, keiran does it given half a chance (but hes quite, erm regular so i can kind of avoid it )

nat, sorry george is ill again, esp when dh is away, things feel so much harder on your own!!!

dd didnt want her nappy on last night, and was dry all night, and now has said no more nappies mummy they for babies....so hopefully she'll get it rather than me having to wash lots of sheets! lol

ds doing ok, im convinced hes got reflux but trying to get a docs appointment atm is a pain so will just have to put up in the meantime. got baby massage tomo which should be good! really looking forward to it!

right must go or dh will be convinced iv spent all day on here (except the 2hr nap on the sofa i had while dd amused herself! ) 'see' you all soon!

podglet · 16/04/2007 20:20

Oh Debs - hugs for your friend, hope all goes as well as can be expected. I actually didn't get round to taking any pictures but I hope others did and I promise to post them as soon as I have them The weather was great wasn't it, we were v lucky. When is your DS's big day?

NJ - suggest fish n chips for tea tomorrow? How is George? Can DH ring to speak to DS1 so he doesn't miss him as much?

Kiminutter - thanks for letting us know. Will be good to have mygirl back - it's not right without her in our post natal gang!

Charlee - ewwww - that's nasty! DS once projectile pooed on me when he was tiny - it was 5 am as well

Stacey - DS loved baby massage as did I. What a clever girl your DD is, fingers crossed for no accidents - sounds like she's doing really well.

saralou100 · 16/04/2007 22:51

kimmi - thanks again for letting us know (see mygirl, we miss you, we really really do!)

well i have to go sort out some new uniforms for work tomorrow (i'm too fat for my old ones - how much more depressing does this have to be )... their is now less than 5 weeks till i'm back... no no no!!!!

OP posts:
HappyCatandIzzy · 17/04/2007 22:01

Charlee - all the best for the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking of you and your family.

NJ - I hope things are ok now while DH is away, and that George is better

We've decided to start weaning Izzy. She's on baby rice now and we'll try fruit and veg from this weekend onwards. She's over 23 weeks so we nearly managed to reach 6 months.

Thanks for the advice on the 'flat head' problem. I saw my HV and she gave some good advice too, about putting Izzy in her highchair to play with toys now that she can sit up, rather than lying on the play gym. Hopefully we'll see some improvement soon.

Podglet - you asked about how Izzy is sleeping. She is still very inconsistant. One night she'll sleep 8pm til 8am, and the next she'll wake at 4am, or 5.30am or sometimes even earlier. Sometimes she needs feeding when she wakes, other nights she can be settled without food. Maybe solids will help, but I know it may make no difference. She is still a bit underweight for her age, not sure if that affects sleeping though. Hope you are getting a decent nights sleep with your LO.

Debbsyandson · 17/04/2007 22:24

Sara yes we need to do something for charlee any suggestions

saralou100 · 17/04/2007 22:45

suggestions... noooo, i'm too bloody tired, must get off mn and go to sleep, horrible night horrible day scenario.

will think more tomorrow, but i'm thinking something nice for charlee, super mum too! she'll be bored in hospital too!

anyways, i've emailed her for her address, in case stacey is as organised as me (i file everything in the bin)

nitey nite xx

podglet · 18/04/2007 07:42

Does Charlee's mum still post on MN? She used to be under the name Fostermum. I'll have a look and if she is, perhaps we could contact her to get the address? Think it's a top idea. The next couple of weeks are going to be tough for all of them.

Happycat, sounds like your DD is getting better at night. DS is still waking twice on average for feeding. We too have started on solids, just at tea time but he is 24 weeks today so I don't feel too awful. He is big too and I don't think I was keeping up with him anymore!

saralou100 · 18/04/2007 08:45

well, i e-mailed her last night and bless her, she replied!! so i have her address..

hmmmmmmmmmm.... off for a think!
