podglet · 20/03/2007 20:43

Hi

Wow Debbsy - swimming, haven't taken DS yet but DP's new gym has family sessions at the weekend and we will be taking him soon. Am working on the basis that he loves his baths so should enjoy the swimming

Am v proud of my boy today. We went back to Moorfield eye hosp again for another check (they want to check him every 4 months until he is 2) and he behaved beautifully, was all smiley and giggly for the Dr's even when they put a big plaster over each eye in turn to check each eye individually. He found it hilarious when they put the right eye plaster on as he worked out he could still see through the side of it so kept turning his head so he could look at his Daddy

We also took him to Harrods for lunch - ok lunch for us (!) a lovely family day out!

V pleased DS1 had a lovely day NJ, have you managed to stop playing with the Wii yet?!

NatalieJane · 21/03/2007 07:07

I would love to take them swimming, but it would mean not one, not two, but three busses there and back, taking over an hour and a half in all each way, maybe one weekend when DH isn't working...!

Podglet, oooo get you, Harrods indeed Thanks, DS1 had a brilliant day, and the Wii is fantastic, my arms and shoulders are absolutely killing me but still we play! LOL I honestly can't rate it high enough, we have had such a giggle on it, the only thing I would say is watch the telly screen, DS1 has smashed the Wii remote into it so many times now!! DH and I were playing this maze type game last night after DS had gone to bed, he is such a sore looser!!! LOL DS1 has a playstation, GameBoy Advance, Nintendo DS, and PC games and none of them touch even the basic games on the Wii, it is the only system I wouldn't wince at paying £40 for a game for it, just because it is so worth the expense. In fact, I have already started looking for more games for it,

I don't know what was going on with George last night, he fed constantly from 4.30 to 7.30 then he was still looking for more so I gave him his rice which he ate faster then ever before and then he went back on the breast until 10.30! He slept from then till 1 o'clock also woke at 3.33(!!) for feeding, then again at 6, and he is just starting to look hungry again...

I suppose I should sort DS1's breakfast out before George starts, catch you all later xxx

staceym11 · 21/03/2007 08:29

morning everyone!!

Nj id love to have a Wii thay look great, cant afford it tho!!!!

NatalieJane · 21/03/2007 10:13

Stacey, if you really want one, save up for it, it will be so worth saving every penny for it - I promise, just warn your kids that mummy won't be around so much because it is so bloody addictive!!! I would rate it as the best thing we have ever brought DS1, his DS hasn't had a look in since his birthday! I know it sounds daft but it has sort of brought us all together closer, we all got bored of playing board games all the time.

Right I am off to book myself in to Wii-aholic's club, sorry have just realised how much I have gone on!! LOL It is good though

Mummy2TandF · 21/03/2007 14:58

NJ - dh keep saying how much he can't wait for ds to be into games consoles etc - because it will give him an excuse to play them Sounds like you have been having fun and I am glad the your ds's birthday went well
I took dd to get weighed again yesterday, she will be 20 weeks on Saturday (where does the time go?) and she is now 15.5lbs - so although she is still only taking about 26oz a day it certainly isn't doing her any harm ... I can't believe it, my baby girl is 20 weeks nearly, 15lbs and has a tooth sob, sob. Am off to cuddle my baby before she gets too big!

staceym11 · 21/03/2007 16:58

ds is 20 weeks, he was weighing in at 14lb 13 this week, which is better than when he lost weight! hes not taking a lot of milk, but doing better which im glad!

how big was freya born?

must go, he needs his bum bum off!

schmizaj · 21/03/2007 17:16

hey hey. After Verity's non-weight gain last week she put on 10oz with a week of mostly formula feeds. Poor thing had a bottle in her gob whenever she as much as squeeked.

I am slightly gutted though that she just couldn't seem to gain weight with breastmilk and know that I will all but wind down now as my milk factory seems to be rather defunct. Will try to keep a morning and evening one in, but even those she isn't really interested in and gives up pretty quickly.

Didn't assume I was going to breastfeed at all, but am strangly disapointed now. Oh well, I'll get over it by tomorrow. Guess I'll be able to wear more normal bra's again soon!!

She still doesn't seem to poo much though, what's the industry norm for formula feed bubs?

Charleesunnysunsun · 21/03/2007 18:52

Hi all

Stacey i got the stuff today thanks alot it's all great! I feel a pampering session coming on!

Well we have mice! eek! We are getting a Cat at the weekend as it's a reoccuring problem where we live next to the farm in the counrty. We get alot of mice and rats in the garden which i don't mind but now the mice are in the house merrily chewing my skirting boards and carpets to pieces!
Hopefully the cat will chase them out the house!

Harry is as grumpy as hell today the teething has really hit him hard, he is so clingy and barley eating anything, the poo mite just cries and cries all day gnawring his fists.

He is 19 weeks this week! Where does time go? He is already rolling and turning on circles on his belly! he will be sitting up by himself soon!

Hope your all well.

xox

staceym11 · 21/03/2007 19:19

Mummy2TandF · 21/03/2007 20:20

Stacey - Freya was 6lbs 4oz born, but now you have got me thinking that she might be older than 20weeks .... how bad is that? with ds I knew how old he was practically to the hour

Hiya all,

DS1 at 17 weeks today just drank 14oz before bed. Lets hope it means a long sleep!

Hope all your LOs are well, - sorry I don't post much but now with DS1 more mobile, I can't leave him alone for long any more!

staceym11 · 21/03/2007 23:13

bethbe 14 oz i can barely get 7oz into ds!!! wish he would eat better would make me worry a lot less!!

NatalieJane · 22/03/2007 08:10

Morning all

Debbsy it is great and really does help strengthen their legs, and help the hand eye co-ordination as well!

Very of all of you with your little tiny bubbas, why do I have the big fat heffalump?!! (Meant in the nicest way possible of course!!) My BF lady rang yesterday to warn me about the big huge GIGANTIC growth spurt they go through at 15-17 weeks, he has hardly stopped eating for the past two days, I think we are already there!! I don't know how old he is, as with the other second timers I knew DS1's age to the second, but I can never remember with George! I think he is 15 weeks today, but I'm not 100%...

I suppose I should go and dry my hair and get out of this wet towel, and ready for school, catch you later xxx

NatalieJane · 22/03/2007 08:11

Just thought, where are all of the regs? Mygirl, Saralou, obviously they have much better things to do, humph!!

phew just finished putting it together ds loves it his little face is a picture in it,laughing cooing and gooing. Its made my day

Bethbe · 22/03/2007 14:08

NJ: Guess that must explain my LOs 14oz - and my tiredness!

He WAS exclusively BF, with EBM at night, but there's no way I could express that quantity, so half was formula!

Might just put him in his door bouncer. He's not too sure about it yet, - taking a while to figure it out, - but it doesn't upset him!

NatalieJane · 22/03/2007 16:44

Glad he likes it Debbsy, I think it seems quite pricey until you actually get them in it, the joy and excitment that can come from a 3 month old is worth every penny!

I got a smile on camera, well the last of a big smile, but it is a smile, look at my profile!
