Aww gorgeous a very beautiful smile and such chubby cheeks

velcrobott · 22/03/2007 21:32

Hi everyone
I have just read some of this thread It is nice to see you all here.
I'm sorry I totally disappeared a bit before my DD was born mid-Nov and now life is slowly getting back to normal so am going back to the PC!

I wondered what sort of sleeping patterns you lot have with your babes..... and have you all started solids yet ? I am holding off for the moment...

podglet · 23/03/2007 08:59

Hi all,

Welcome back Velcrobott. My DS (20 weeks) is going to bed any time between 6.30 & 7.30, depending on his afternoon nap, then is waking once in the night. We are then up for the day anytime between 5.30 & 7 am! He is exclusively bf. HTH

NJ - what a gorgeous boy, you could eat those cheeks with a spoon!

Am v at those with door bouncers - I think DS would love it but DP won't have one as he thinks they are unsafe?!

Off to baby massage soon but DS has just decided that now is a good time for a nap

Hope you are all ok, have good weekends if I don't get back on before...

NatalieJane · 23/03/2007 11:18

Welcome back VB, glad to hear every thing is starting to settle down George will usually go from about 9 o'clock through till 5.30-ish he does sometimes wake up around 3 though but it isn't too bad. He is breastfed and I give him a bit of rice in the evening.

Podgelet, DH thought they seemed unsafe before we got DS1's, but if you buy one then actually look at how it fits to the door frame there is no way it would fall down, in fact I think your door frame would fall down before it comes off!! The Jumperoo thing that Debbsy and I have been talking about is more or less the same sort of thing but it is on an A frame instead of a door frame, if your DP won't go for the door bouncer, have a look at the Jumperoo instead maybe?

Hope everyone is well

staceym11 · 23/03/2007 11:22

podglet my dh went mad when i brought dd a door bouncer, he thought they were unsafe, but i showed him how safe it was by hanging off it myself and the doorway didnt collapse so he let me put her in it! she was never really that bothered by it! but ds loves it!!!

well ds is in a really bad mood today and wont eat! dd woke at 5 am and i am knackered not a good day i must say!

right must go ds is crying in his bed!

hope everyone is well!

Debbsyandson · 23/03/2007 13:13

Stace hope your day gets better, podgelet ds loooooooooooooooooves his jumparoo,i do too its fab he hasnt hardly been out of it,cries when i take him out, lots of things for them to focus on to lots of lights rattles and toys.Im with you on the 3 till 4am wake up call, but ds just feeds then goes back to sleep goshhhhh i lovvvvve my little boy right off to aquatots have a good weekend everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

schmizaj · 23/03/2007 18:09

LOL at Stacey bouncing in the door frame! I thought the fathers were the ones who were supposed to encourage risk taking....

I can't get DD to bounce in it though she just sort of spins around and then gets upset when she can't see me anymore...

She is being very cute during the daytime, sitting in her bumbo beside me blowing rasberries, awwww I like them at this age, not as fragile and really looking so so cute and doing different stuff all the time.

Really struggling at night though, although she goes down happily at 7ish and we feed her and put her back to sleep at 10.30 she is awake between about 2-4am. Feeding don't work, not interested in dummy, will only tend to go back to sleep if we bring her into bed. Then awake again at 5-6am when she will take some milk, get her back at 7am in crib when she sleeps till 10am!! Really takes up the whole night and doing my nut in. Don't know how to change the pattern.

Reassuring to hear others not sleeping through night though as all of my pregnancy group seems to be.

staceym11 · 23/03/2007 18:15

i was not bouncing in the door frame just hanging off it! lol

ds has slight temp and is not happy, must go and sort him out!

Debbsyandson · 23/03/2007 18:34

is he teething stace?

staceym11 · 23/03/2007 19:38

dunno, think they both might be coming down with summit, it just took me over an hour to get dd to bed, and she is normally really easy to get to bed! I had to be laid down next to her, dunno what's got into them!!!

ds does keep being sicky after feeds so dunno, all rather strange. Just want some quiet time and it aint happening, need some rest!!!

saralou100 · 23/03/2007 19:49

i'm back!!!! not that you missed me, i'm sure!!!!

it's been toch and go with the 'puter, but it's managed to pull through!! smoke+flames=not good!!!

i have been very busy though..dashing here there and everywhere, to take my mindof lack of mumsnet time

had my first girly night out last week........ was only supposed to be meetin up for the meal...got home at 5am... pissed as a fart!! so for mothers day i had a hangover and spent most of the day on the phone to dp begging him to come home and save me.. not doing that again... till next week anyway (my birthday!!!!)

ryans doing fab... no idea how old he is, i just say 3months now.. no idea how much he weighs either!

ds1 is starting to saymore words.. his latest phrase is 'go away'...

right, shall be back next week... best friend coming to stay.. she was birthing partner and hasn't seen the little dude since.. only through photo's

saralou100 · 23/03/2007 21:19

well remembered... he don't say much, bless him! up until his 2nd birthday his only words were daddy, juice, woof and shoes.. recently we've added 'oh dear', teeth, nanny and todays word was car! and i'm just loving the go away one..he says it with a grn.. and yes, i'm just happy he's talking!!

anyway, you ok stace... sounding a bit stressed!

OP posts:
staceym11 · 23/03/2007 21:33

yeah a bit, keiran never eats properly and chloe has hit terrible twos with a vengance so a bit stressed. PND seems to be bitting me in the @rse atm as well! but we'r alright really!!!

im glad hes talking now, i know a little boy who would not speak till just after he was 3, then he politely said to his mummy 'mummy can i have chocolate please?' lol, sometimes its not that they cant jsut they cant be bothered!!!

saralou100 · 23/03/2007 21:46

i've just noticed on the wall right next to me some of ds1's lovely art work (thick black lines, grrrrrr).. nothing wrong with those skills!! he's a terrible two aswell.. everythings a drama, doesn't want to get in the car, doesn't want to get out of the car!

have you tried starting a thread abut his eating? maybe their someone out their with some wise words. it's so hard when your not feeling on top form.. i'm sure it will be better in a couple of days!

podglet · 24/03/2007 14:13

Afternoon all,

Stacey, sorry to hear you are still having probs with DS eating, afraid no advice but hope he gets going for you soon. Sounds like you need some time to chill out a bit, can DH look after the smalls for a while, if only to give you time to have a long hot bath? Hugs for you.

Thanks for the info on the Jumparoo Debbsy & NJ, they look fab but have had a really good look at them but don't think we can splash out on one as we will shortly have to buy a new buggy and a highchair.

Well ladies, I can confirm that I have a bun in the oven................. well 12 actually - choc gigerbread muffins are merrily baking away - check out me, the domestic goddess sorry, couldn't resist...

NatalieJane · 24/03/2007 14:35

Sara, Got a mental picture of your DP in his Y-fronts (still can't get that out of my head!) fixing a sparking computer, and your DP has grown wild fuzzy hair in my mental picture - weird...!

And Podglet, I just went completely then... bloody muffins...!! It was a year yesterday that we found out I was pregnant, maybe this time next year we will get the same news again!!

Just taken DS1 into town for him to spend his birthday money, next I have to lugg all of the pressies he had upstairs and out of my living room, take his birthday banners and cards down, and then we are shooting over to Next to get George some tops, then I might get 5 minutes to sit down before baths and bed! Oh the joy of children... still want another though, thanks for the reminder Podglet!!

staceym11 · 24/03/2007 15:34

podglet, you made me think you were pg then i was !!! lol!!

well ds in a better mood today, think hes jsut a pain to feed full stop, there doesnt seem to be a reason, hes just a pain! lol

just been to godstone farm which was lovely! chloe loved it, and she didnt even hae any accidents!!

right must go sort ds out!

velcrobott · 24/03/2007 16:54

Thanks Podglet and NJ.... glad to hear I'm not alone.. also still BF only.

saralou100 · 25/03/2007 11:19

nj, i'm still traumatised by the image of dp in y-fronts... not a good look on any man!! funnily enough though, he does actually have mad proffessor type hair that sticks up... not familiar with the use of hair gel i'm afraid!! so your image is almost their (maybe i'll post a pic to shatter it!!!)
