Happy Birthday Bendy-hope you had a good day and have been spoilt.

I'm trying to pack- how much stuff do I need for 4 days with a baby? Looks like I am going for a year!

Youngmum- to kittens. Are you going to keep any?

taffy- centre parcs is great unfortunately can't afford it at the moment. My sister always takes her two boys and they really enjoy it. Not looking forward to getting up early but I want to get ahead of the Monday morning rush round the M25! [HMM]

purpleflower- when is your birthday in June? I am 30 on the 9th!

Rumpel · 24/03/2007 18:32

I am 35 on the 24th June! Old fart I am! Took Lo out for a stroll in her snowsuit today as the weather was glorious. Showed her the trees, cats, flowers etc. Sat her in her bumbo outside whilst I tidied up the garden. Was lovely.

Youngmum - more mouths to feed if you keep one not to mention vets fees. We had 5 1/2 at one point - only got 3 1/2 now. 1/2 is stray we feed. My eldest cat has come home with another new friend though - we are trying to get shot of it by squishing it with water pistol. It lives across the road - I love cats but enough is enough!

Congrats on the kittens Youngmum!

Been shopping all day with friend and DS - not doing that again till DS is, ooh, 21 . He hates shops and won't sleep in the pushchair unless being walked outside. So only a few catnaps and a very cross baby this evening - took about an hour to get him to sleep (yawn).

Happy birthday Bendy! Can't believe I'm 32 on Monday - and now a mum

Oh, MEET-UP: did you say Wed 11th? Can make that, but it's my first week back at work so I may be a bit frazzled. Not sure my nerves would be able to take a soft-play place: could I make a plea for a nice quiet coffee shop?

samsmam · 24/03/2007 20:13

Any venue is good for me on 11th as long as I can get there- not that I'm scared of London or anything!

re cats/kittens youngmum21 I remember when we had a female cat and she had 3 kittens and seemed to just get on with it. No shouting for gas and air or asking for her brow to be mopped. I want to be a cat

Swizzler get your coffee shop hat on then and make a suggestion? But dont forget our lo's are alot noisier and and more inclined to grumble iif not entertained!!!

Many happy returns again bendyb

Happy Birthday birthday girls & kittens!

Think I might have to re-name myself AncientMum by the sounds of it!

Swizzler - my ds is the same with shops; he has ESP too-fast asleep until you step foot inside anywhere & next minute he is crying his head off. He appears to hate being in the pram though - if it stops & he realises he is trapped in the pram he starts writhing around to make his escape! I look at other babes all resting in their prams like this: as I rush around keeping him moving & happy!

Glad you had a lovely day Bendy. mmmmm cake of profiteroles sounds fabby. Your Bro will hopefully get transferred this week then you can see him. Glad he is doing so well.

Feeling quite smug as I am just back from the gym. Thought I would be hard pushed as haven't been for a year, but I did really well.
Not keen on the fat jiggling though

I am off to shops with Lo tomorrow, as we need a few things ofr going away next weekend. Mainly I need hot pink shoes to match my lovely new frock. She generally loves shopping, people watching, am feeling a wee bit concerned now though after reading your posts. Maybe they get fed up at this age.

Samsmam - have a good break away, hope your DH is healing well.

Youngmum - how are the teeny tiny totie kittys today?

Gorgeous sunny day here today again - place was swarming as it is a popular seaside resort. Lots of motorbikes out - makes me full of longing and nostalgia

Bendy: great news about your brother Hopehe gets moves soon - assume it will then be a lot easier for family and friends to visit

Rumpel: you might have the only baby that loves shopping! I do love going out with DS as he has a great time gawking at all the people. Had another days without proper naps though (I know, I know) so took ages to settle him to sleep again as he was v v tired.

Went to a workshop thingy on slings today - didn;t expect to get much out of it (mainly went so we could meet with some friends who have just had a baby). But it was great: DS LOVED being wrapped up in one of those sindy slings and strapped to my back in best peasant woman impression - he even fell asleep! Am planning on buying one asap - next step weaving my own sandals

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Only THREE weeks then DP can go back to work!

Can't believe how stressful it is getting ready to go away for just four days. Kind of wish I hadn't bothered!

Good news bendy about bro, sounds like he'll make an extra speedy recovery. I am sure the PSP helped. My DP is 30 on Good Friday and his family have bought him an X-Box 360. Great toy- NOT!

Swizzler- Happy Birthday for tomorrow, I'll be offline until Friday. A whole 5 days with no computer!

Rumpel- hope you find those hot pink shoes. My LO only likes shopping if its on pavement the rough ride keeps her happy, not too impressed by the smoothness of Bluewater!

Have a good week all x

Inthehouse I have a friend who tries out slings and recomends them. She has leant me 2 slings since lo was born. The first one was a Roo sling which was just one big piece of material with 2 metal rings to hols it together. It was fine till lo got a bit bigger then I started to feel a bit lop sided. The second one Im currently using is called a PATAPUM sling www.patapum.com. I think its brill and lo falls asleep in it nearly every time I use it. Good luck xxxIll see if she can give me a couple of sites for some of the slings she has and put them on here for you to look at .

Eve' All,

Happy Birthday Swizz - bit late sorry. Spent 8 hours shopping today Couldn't get hot pink shoes as my feet are HUGE (size 8) after pg and VERY WIDE LOAD (they could do with a police escort!) Also broke my wee toe a couple of weeks ago so very sore in narrow shoes. Ended up with a pair of NEON LUMINESCENT pink flats form Ravel. Not what I wanted but will ahve to do. Scuse the computer dyslexia.

Gingme - the weather up here is fab just now. had to go and buy SPF for my face today (loads of skin cancer in our family) it's so nice.

Am slurping champagne today as we finally, after 3 and half years, received settlement for my Dh's motorbike accident. Which means we can go house and GIANT bed shopping. WHOOPEE!!!!!! We've been trying to move for years - am so happy and also slightly disbelieving as it has been dragging on so long. Just need to spot a house we like now.

A bit squiffy now (must be the bubbles)
