Hi All - hopefully this will be less contraversial (sp!)

Any meet up ideas? Near any of my mainline stations would be good, Waterloo, Victoria, Charing X or London Bridge. But I would say that!

Bubblemummy · 21/03/2007 23:07

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with sleep issues (youngmum & swizzler). DS is still waking 3 times a night. I'm just hoping that once I start giving him proper food he will wake less frequently.

Has anyone who's started giving solids found that their baby sleeps better now?

Not looking forward to solid poos at all though

DS started rolling all over the place today!

purpleflower · 22/03/2007 08:14

Hello Everyone,

If I ask very nicely can I join in with you lot????

My DS was born 2nd October and is my first LO. I can't believe its all gone so fast!!

pmoore · 22/03/2007 08:25

Welcome purpleflower!
Time does really fly my LO was born October 7th, can't believe nearly six months already!

Have decided to spring clean today as apparently it was the first day of spring yesterday.

Have a nice day all.

Gingememorechocolateeggs · 22/03/2007 10:32

Good morning ladies and welcome Purpleflower

Lo is having breakfast and lunch but has been sleeping through a couple of weeks now anyway.
bendyb whats the latest on your brother?

Lo wakes up on his front now. Trouble is he gets tangled in his grobag that he gets the hump

Oh well off to Clown town now with ds3 now.

Had a little flurry of snow today. Too wet to settle though thank goodness.

Hi all and welcome purpleflower - I'm new here too...

I think my DS does get frustrated with not being able to crawl. He doesn't seem happy no matter what I do today, when I pick him up he squirms and when I put him down he grumbles!

He can't sit very well yet either, so I'm not too sure whether I'm supposed to start feeding him when he can't sit in a high chair. I heard that you have to wait until your baby can sit unaided before you start them on solids?

Clown town sounds a bit scary to me gingeme! Ever since I saw that movie 'it'...

Swizzler · 22/03/2007 19:33

Yes, LO is sying to get moving! Gets v cross if left in one position for a while.

Purpleflower: I started solids a week or so ago (DS 24 weeks). Seems to be going OK, tho no improvement on the sleep front... am trying hard to get DS used to falling asleep on his own but I think his willpoewr is stronger than mine!

Meet-up: most places in London good for me. If it's after Easter, could we meet on a Wednesday? Otherwise I may be at work.

Gingememorechocolateeggs · 22/03/2007 21:21

Bubblemummy I havnt seen that film so please dont fill me in on the details

Lo had fun there . Theres a soft bit especialy for babies and another Mum was there with her dd who was roughly 5 and half months and she was grinning like a cheshire cat at Edward. He was dribbling at her with a grin on his face too. A very young romance perhaps

I think he looks at ds3 and wishes he could run around with him. Still guess that wont be long

Any more teeth anyone? Was looking at ds3's red book and he got his first tooth at 6 and a half months so ds4 is well early.

Re meet up Wednesday 11th April any good? Dont know where though. Any suggestions?

BENDYB · 22/03/2007 21:22

Thank you everyone for your very kind welcomes!

DS has had a grumpy day today think that he is teething although i can't feel anything yet.

Are anyone elses LO's showing any signs of moving yet? DS is rolling around all over the place and shuffling backwards. Today he finally managed to lift his tummy off of the floor for a couple of seconds. Think I need to babyproof the house!

Food is still hit and miss, some days he will eat everything in sight, other days he really doesn't care. Anyone else like this?

pmoore · 23/03/2007 07:14

Wednesday 11th sounds good to me. I have no suggestions as not clued up on London! Is there any of these soft play centres anywhere?

Bendyb- good news about bro, nice that he is making progress so quickly.
21 was a great birthday for me! I'll be 30 in a few months.

Had a slight arguement with my sister yesterday, she stored lots of stuff in LO's bedroom FOUR weeks ago for what she said ONE week. I realy need to get LO into her room so asked her to move it, she started saying 'why can't you just help me out- blah, blah, blah.' Am I wrong?

LO was sooooo grumpy yesterday, think the teeth are coming. Still no effort to move anywhere- lazy little tyke!

totally- my LO has a slightly flatter head one side which was stopping her from holding her neck up straight. The osteo says once her hair grows it'll be unnoticeable. Hope the appointment goes ok, be interested to hear how it goes.

Off to cornwall on Monday- going to leave at about 4am so can do a good 2-3 hours before LO's first feed-it may work in theory.

youngmum21 · 23/03/2007 08:19

Bendy- great news about your brother you must be relieved that he is doing so well!!!

Another bad nite with dd am feeling really down with lack of sleep dont know how im going to cope as i start bak work a week on monday

Gingememorechocolateeggs · 23/03/2007 09:59

Morning all. Woke up with a soggy baby this moorning. He wakes on his front now so it was a puddle top end where he dribbles so much and a yellow puddle the other end because his nappy had leaked. Wont be buying Huggies anymore. What nappies are everyone else using?I was using good old Pampers but switched to Tesco own as my ds3 only wears nappy at night and thats what he uses. Thought Id try Huggies but theyve leaked like mad so Im going to switch back to Tesco. I used Huggies 12 years ago with my first ds(hes going to be 13 in May) and they leaked like mad then.

pmoore wish I was 30 again
lo is moving backwards too now and rolling like anything.
Can suggest a Clown Town, soft play place, but not sure how to describe how to get there. If I find out the exact address Ill put it on here and you can google it. It has toddler morning Tues,Weds and Thurs morning so it doesnt get very busy. My ds3 is at nursery till 12 though so will have to be after that.
Anyway see what you think. Off for a shower now. Have a good day. xx

youngmum21 · 23/03/2007 10:11

we use huggies and have neva had any problems

Gingememorechocolateeggs · 23/03/2007 10:16
