Would love time to get my hair cut - not since before Xmas & I'm desperate.

Vaseline is great for drool rash!

My bro escaped from hospital yesterday!
he run across 3 fields & they couldn't catch him so they had 2 send a police helicopter out to find him!
He just wants 2 go home, still dont really understand why he's gotta be there, poor thing.

tried giving kai juice & he still wont drink it!

NNNM: lovely to hear from you . The thread is getting a bit long - is it time for a new one?

Purpleflower: try a bit of barrier cream (the same one you use for the nappy area) on your LO's chin. This cleared up William's rash pretty quickly and though he's contantly drooling it hasn't returned. Still no sign of teeth tho - looks like we're going to geet a load all at once!

We're doing well, nights improving slightly (he's stopped the hour/1.5 hour wakings which is a relief!). Been playing with the new sling but not entirely got the hang of it yet!

So who's coming to the London MEET-UP? Would the S Bank be OK? Can start another thread if necessary.

Hi all,

In answer to a question earlier my birthday is the 23rd of June.

I don't get on here everyday so sorry if my posts are a bit all over the place!

Still no teeth yet but LO was quite grumpy yesterday and only calmed doen when I rubbed some teething gel on. He's been really dribbly for ages now and has some little red spots on his chin from it. Is there something I can use?

Things are progressing on the moving side though, he can now get up on all fours and rocks backwards and forwards. He moved around an inch forwards earlier then got angry, flopped on his tummy and started going around backwards!!

Still can't believe he is 6 months next week.

Does anyone have a babywalker? FIL has brought him one for at his and he loves it but FIL is insisting that he needs hard soled shoes for it which I thought was a no no till they are walking properly. I said no he said fine I will buy them then!

Any way enough about me hope everyone is ok and v. about the kittens.

... I think my post wouldn't work because it was too long so I've cut it into 2

...dd1 at 2.6 is still providing great fun (and frustration) and is an adoring 'big sista' for dd2 who is on great form. Still breast-feeding and loving it, no weaning planned for us yet as dd2 has some pretty nasty ezcema so I've been advised to keep bfing for a while. The really grotty eczema is on her face but she's remarkably good-natured in between bouts of trying to pull her face off with those razor sharp little nails.
dp is currently in California for work (it's a hard life!) so it's just one long 'girls night in' for us at the mo . and that's me in a nutshell really. will try to pop in more often. keep cuddling those weeny ones... they're getting so big, so fast

yay, it works!! long story, have been sending messages to tech telling him I can't post on this thread for ages and all of a sudden it's working
great to see that you're all getting on brilliantly with your little ones - aren't we lucky?!! I've only skimmed through the recent threads so have 'sort of' caught up with your news.
haven't posted since December as we were away over Christmas and New Year and then we moved house at the beginning of Jan (still just outside Nice though, Squiffy), was without internet for ages and am now trying to discipline myself about working from home. not easy with the demands of 2 little ones to satisfy and no childcare options until I earn a bit more!

Hi All,

Hectic with me at the mo'. Getting ready for going away this wkend. can't wait. Managed to lose 21/2 pounds so far this week YIPPEE! Friend took Lo yesterday so I could go the gym at 9.30am - consequently got lots done yesterday as was full of energy. Bought some jars of Hipp to take with us for wkend. Trying to get stuff organised for hopefully moving at soem point too. Amazing how many clothes baby never wears or hardly wears - have put them all away for next one.

Gingeme - A has both incisors coming in - they are nearly through now - have been watching them progress down the gum they are really giving her jip and she awakens several times a night crying and poking her gums. Have started letting her sleep with DT in as it gives her something to chew on.

A won't take water either - I usually just water down her milk, haven't tried juice as yet, may try her on it soon. I am still sticking to fruit and veg purees until she is a bit older.

Amazing how few Mummies are still with us from the ante-natal club isn't it? They must be too busy and maybe not feel the need to chat anymore. Still we've picked a few new ones on the way

Hi all! Hope the sun is out where you are. I am covered in carrot wondering how I could make such a mess over liquidising some carrots. Jeez. He was not impressed anyway. I want to buy some orange vests for him now so the stains don't show.....

Hope everyones feeling ok. I did that really annoying thing of waking at half six (when dp gets up) & not going back to sleep even tho Fergus snoozed on til half eight. Have finally chosen a childminder so thats a relief.

Plan to feed the ducks today! How life has changed!

Is the South Bank doable for people? There's a Giraffe there (v child-friendly restaurant). It's just across from Embankment Station - nearest tube stations Embankment and Waterloo. If it's nice weather, we could go for a potter along the river after lunch.

Got the sling today, so I may be bringing DC in that. It's about 3 miles of material and comes with a tutorial CD as well as a booklet - need to go and practice my knots

my bro still hasn't been moved back 2 the local hospital, so still havent seen him!
he is still doin well though.

do u lot give your los cooled boiled water to drink in between their feeds? I have tried giving it to kai a few times but as soon as he realises its not milk he just wont drink it, have tried giving it to him in a cup aswell but still wont drink it!!

Am i right in thinking that he should be drinking it? especially in the hot weather?
I was thinkin of trying him with some organic juice, watered down(ive seen some that say from 4 months) or i was thinking of watering down his milk a bit? any1 got any advice???

Inthe house: I tried the didymos slings here . Soryy you had a rough night - same here .

Thanks for all the birthday wishes - had a lovely quiet day with DH and DS. DH got me a large framed photo of the boy - the man in the shop had to explain why it was NOT a good idea to put in in a black frame

Another sunny day here - hope everyone else is enjoying it

Eve' All,

Happy Birthday Swizz - bit late sorry. Spent 8 hours shopping today Couldn't get hot pink shoes as my feet are HUGE (size 8) after pg and VERY WIDE LOAD (they could do with a police escort!) Also broke my wee toe a couple of weeks ago so very sore in narrow shoes. Ended up with a pair of NEON LUMINESCENT pink flats form Ravel. Not what I wanted but will ahve to do. Scuse the computer dyslexia.

Gingme - the weather up here is fab just now. had to go and buy SPF for my face today (loads of skin cancer in our family) it's so nice.

Am slurping champagne today as we finally, after 3 and half years, received settlement for my Dh's motorbike accident. Which means we can go house and GIANT bed shopping. WHOOPEE!!!!!! We've been trying to move for years - am so happy and also slightly disbelieving as it has been dragging on so long. Just need to spot a house we like now.

A bit squiffy now (must be the bubbles)

Inthehouse I have a friend who tries out slings and recomends them. She has leant me 2 slings since lo was born. The first one was a Roo sling which was just one big piece of material with 2 metal rings to hols it together. It was fine till lo got a bit bigger then I started to feel a bit lop sided. The second one Im currently using is called a PATAPUM sling www.patapum.com. I think its brill and lo falls asleep in it nearly every time I use it. Good luck xxxIll see if she can give me a couple of sites for some of the slings she has and put them on here for you to look at .
