mrm - if you've never done it don't do it dh never had credit cards til he met me then we had about 3 running at the same time. We ended up getting a loan to pay them all off and haven't had one since.

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 20:35

I wish we'd never had credit cards either

Jas - sent you a HUGE essay

MRM - I will post you a bit of bamboo fabric and you can feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel it, and then wish it was on your baby's bum

PG - Its one of those things that happens - normally only a couple of times because you remember to check after a few wet patches

PhoenixGirl · 26/02/2007 20:39

Oh god i've forgot to sky+ the football for dh. He texted me hours ago asking me to and he's just rung me and mentioned football and i went "oh oh" he said "tell me you're joking" ooops. i can't remember details of texts from 2 hours ago when i've to feed, put ds to bed then tidy all his toys etc away.

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 20:47

he should've set it himself.

PhoenixGirl · 26/02/2007 20:49

Ah but he forgot, but that's ok. Cos i forgot he's in a mood. MEN!!!!!!!!!

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 26/02/2007 20:49

Only brief post - feel like poo - either sinus prob or ear infection, but either way ear not good.

Had fab day - made some new friends with babies at the zoo .

mrm - we're with Abbey and had no probs turning dh's account into a joint one - they must have not liked the look of you .

PhoenixGirl · 26/02/2007 20:51

hope you feel better soon csws ((((hugs))))

2boysmacca · 26/02/2007 20:54

Oops PG. Thought you could text sky+?

Credit cards only work when they are not run concurrently with anything else.

Dh has just put dishwasher on even though it is half empty

PhoenixGirl · 26/02/2007 20:56

You can macca but we haven't got round to setting it up yet.

2boysmacca · 26/02/2007 21:00

Use that in your defence

Taking ds1 swimming tomorrow and putting ds2 in the creche. He's not been in the creche on his own before and they are really quiet at the time he is going so I hope he'll be OK

mustrunmore · 26/02/2007 21:10

csws was that long ago? I'll be having words with Abbey! I feel a row coming on! Have only argued with Tescos so far this week, plus dh's spat with the Argo woman

Er, you can send me a sample, but if it feels soft, I'd be thinking what else I could make out of it, not that I want it on his bum I'd prob make a cushion cover or a bear

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 21:12

I have been getting tempted to make a cuski type thing from it!

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 26/02/2007 21:20

Just after we got married, so early 2001.

2boysmacca · 26/02/2007 21:28

csws. Get yourself off to bed and get yourself better. That's an order

MyNamesNotFLAMEItsRodney · 26/02/2007 21:46

Testin..

PhoenixGirl · 26/02/2007 21:48

That's better

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 26/02/2007 21:49

I shan't I shan't I shan't .

I will go and make myself a hot drink to hold though, as my hands are still like blocks of ice from being outside all afternoon.

Frizbe · 26/02/2007 22:39

Happy Birthday Leon, sorry you had a trip in a truck on sunday tho.....

CSWS whatya been doing outside then?

Macca, at least he put the dishwasher on! mine only seems to manage that at weekends

Flame is it kicking off on the nappy threads?

Phoenix, go to Elsecar then, its nice!! and let me know what the play centre is like!

3K hope your enjoying the pub, you sure sound like you need it at the moment, I'm really hoping dh gets his act together for you both soon.

MRM, pah swap banks, or at least re hassle Abbey, if they can do it for CSWS they can do it for you (me is wondering if CSWS/Mr CSWS have a much greater income than you and thus is worth lots more to the bank )

Hi everyone else

dd2 had her settling session at nursery today, as she starts just one day a week, as of next week so I can get some work done, hurrah, and also boo, as job no1, is to delve into the kit/wardrobe in the garage and get it all washed (oh about 300 garments, argh!) and check it for mending as well..... she enjoyed herself today tho only a slight cry when I left, then the toddler slide became far too tempting and she spent the remainder of the time trying to scale it the wrong way around....blame her brother and sister for that one

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 26/02/2007 22:52

re income Friz. It wasn't nearly as high when we did it as it is now.

Outside was at zoo - took dd to Whipsnade for the afternoon, but it was v fresh!

Frizbe · 26/02/2007 22:59

CSWS was just thinking that thought, whilst thinking of a friend of ours who is loaded, whose bank pander to his every whim
Good time had by all at the zoo I hope

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 26/02/2007 23:06

Our bank seem to write to us a couple of times a year to say 'we notice that you've recently deposited a large sum of money - let us help you invest it..', but it's usually just when we borrow money back from the mortgage ready to pay the taxman (or because we have cashflow probs as dh's client is late paying). Can't understand why they've just done it, as the amount we nicked from the mortgage was less than usually goes in each month when dh gets paid .

Yes, zoo was great ta. Got chatting with some other mums within about 15 mins of arriving, and ended up spending the whole afternoon with them. One of them had a dd who was just 6 days older than dd (and also walking to a similar level). The other one has posted on MN before, but apparently isn't a regular.

Right, must go to bed now. Hands have warmed up but feet still ice-like.

Jelley · 27/02/2007 07:23

@ nappies

Morning all,

I hope you feel ok today csws.
We are good, ds has another two top teeth coming through, and is really trying hard to walk (and mostly failing, but he is very persistant.)

2boysmacca · 27/02/2007 07:53

What's the issue with nappies?

ds1 slept until 7am . The first time he's done this in about 6 months. It's sods law. It's dh's birthday and he wanted to give him his card and present, by the time he got up, dh was long gone

MyNamesNotFLAMEItsRodney · 27/02/2007 08:01

See my bank leave me alone, what with me not having large quantities of money going in ever!

Nappies - just a bit of sales competition which is starting to irk. I'll send an email round to whoever I have an address for (Macca, if you wanna send an email to flamesparrow at gmail dot com I can include you )

Mumsnet comp... going to email them and see about a comp to win nappies... 2 or 3 tie dyes do you think? 2 would be easier for me cost-wise, but will people think "bah, only 2 nappies"?!

MyNamesNotFLAMEItsRodney · 27/02/2007 08:02

will reply to the rest after school run
