I think he is!!!

Chloe55 · 25/02/2007 22:43

Whoops - Happy Birthday Rory - well spotted Frizbe!

3k · 26/02/2007 00:04

Happy Birthday Rory (just got that in I think although it is midnight now!!)

Well DH took DS for most of the day but didnt want to spend time with me I'm feeling very, very down. I suggested yesterday we went for a stroll along the coast just to spend some time together and see how it went but he "didnt know what he was doing"!!! He did say perhaps he was feeling this way because we dont spend time together but then cant be arsed to spend time with me.

Last night we went to pub with friends and we didnt really speak, I got drunk and he sulked and went out in the carpark on his own. Its like if I do something on my own or be happy he dont like it but if I say I want to spend time with him he runs a mile. I'm going to pub again tomorrow with a friend and he is babysitting.

CSWS - yes saw CIB on Monday, they said he would be making me homeless and that if I took him to court they would more than likely say I could stay in house and he has to pay for me to do so until DS is 18. Lets hope it doesnt come to that.

Hope you ladies had a nice weekend, I'm off to bed now and will catch up tomorrow.

PhoenixGirl · 26/02/2007 08:37

Happy Birthday Rory (for yesterday)

Happy Birthday Leon

2boysmacca · 26/02/2007 08:54

Happy Birthday Leon .

3k. It doesn't sound good does it.

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 09:38

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY

3K

mustrunmore · 26/02/2007 11:14

Ah, happy birthday Boy. did I mention that ds2 had a dog suit for his birthday, not unlike the blue one Boy had on and I laughed at?! Its cream though. Friend got it because 70% off in the sale!!

Frock coat sounds really nice

Are you putting that playcentre together yourselves? If so, I dont envy you. Our playhouse took a weekend of 10 hr days, plus odds and ends for about 4 weekends after that! It was a nightmare!

ds2's spots no worse, and they're not really red or anything. ds1 is still terrible; up in the night, then slept till 10am. So I couldnt take ds2 to the gp anyway, as no way would ds1 make it there. ds1 is supposed to go on Thurs or Fri to be assessed, ie once the paperwork has reached then from the hosp. But I cant book an appointment as they're all full; have to wait till the day, and hope there's an emergency appointment free I love their systems. She did suggest an emergency app today, but obv no good as they wont have test results, and he's already got medicine, no pointless going this early on.

And a new dilemma; need to do a return to Argos. The time period is almost up, so dh has gone en route to work. But will they refund him if it was paid on my card? There's no way I'll get there this week with the boys how they are! And there's not enough time for me to get there and back before dh leaves for work.

2boysmacca · 26/02/2007 12:14

They'll refund via vouchers if he doesn't have your card with him.

We intend to put play centre together but with help from the in-laws and anyone else who has an ounce of diy skilss. Dh is not at all diy. He once screwed the socket back to a wall and trapped the live wire in the screw. It coincided with the time that London had a blackout and I thought he'd done it! (doesn't sound as bad, thought he'd blown us but then heard next door shouting and realised it was the whole street, city). First we need to sort the garden though, it's nowhere near finished. Our garden is very long (110 feet) but very narrow, as you would expect with a terrace.

Didn't make the hygienist, friend's little boy started to vomit so had no one to look after mine.

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 14:45

for all poorly peeps

Agree that argos will give vouchers.

Looks like I wasn't paranoid on the nappy boards... i see all out war afoot!

3k · 26/02/2007 14:49

Happy Birthday Leon!!!!

Not been up to much today, DS is having a nap at the moment. I took him the park this morning just to get us some fresh air and clear my head and it tired him out.

MRM - thank you for the shoes, they arrived this morning and are very cute!!! Cant wait to try them later on.

Hope poorly babies are better later

I'm going for drink tonight with a friend and DH is babysitting, I doubt anything will change but we will see eh.

mustrunmore · 26/02/2007 19:02

"They'll refund via vouchers if he doesn't have your card with him" lol. like they'd let him have my card and think it was ok? Even for a refund not a payment that cant be legal, surely?
As it happens, he's exchanged for a more expensive one , and they had a strop about paying the difference using his card not mine

Glad you got the shoes

2boysmacca · 26/02/2007 19:06

My credit card has same number as dh, names obviosuly different. If I paid by card, they'd have no way of knowing whether it was mine or his

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 19:13

lol - I was meaning if your card wasn't there (eg with you attached to it).. didn't really think through the wording

for more expensive

Jelley · 26/02/2007 19:16

Hi all,

We had a lovely weekend...5 children in one room and they all slept!.
Then I tried to come home and ended up with a 3 hour trip in a transport lorry as my car is rubbish.

Late return meant I spent this morning madly cleaning and tidying (did get cake done yesterday), and had lots of babies over to play thins afternoon.

I haven't bought ds a sandpit. I bought two bags of balls and put them in the dds pop up tent, and he was very happy

My camera has no batteries so didn't get many pics, but I will post a cake photo tomorrow.

Jelley · 26/02/2007 19:17

Flame - what's the nappy story? Have I missed something?

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 19:27

I'll email you...

Jelley · 26/02/2007 19:30
Smile
mustrunmore · 26/02/2007 19:31

Did you do the train cake?

Credit card? I'd rather die than have one.Never have had one, nor has dh. We tried to add my name to his current account when I stopped working, but apparently you cant do that, you have to open a new account And because it was with our existing bank, they wouldnt transfer our direct debits automatically, we'd have to contact each company and do it ourselves (if we had come from a different bank, they would've done it for us) We really couldnt be bothered, as we have tons of direct debits, and would prob have gone overdrawn while it was sorted, missed a few out, been cut off etc etc! So, in a really antiquated way, I do a chitty each month, and dh reimburses me on payday!

Jelley · 26/02/2007 19:35

Yes - train cake

I did wonder why you chose the monthly chitty thing.

I got dp put on my account with no problem. He'd never had an account at all before!

PhoenixGirl · 26/02/2007 20:15

I made my first mistake with cloth nappies today I took ds to the clinic for his booster vaccination took his trousers off and sat him on my knee. When i put him down to go play i had wet patches on my jeans. At first i thought he'd been sick then realised it was from his nappy i'd not got the wrap covering it on one side.

mrm - hope the boys get better soon.

3k - hope things work out with you and dh it must be really hard.

Frizbe - i've never been to elsecar but i've been told it's really good, highly recommended. We were taking ds there for his birthday but went somewhere smaller instead.

mustrunmore · 26/02/2007 20:21

Do you think I'll wake up one day when I'm old, wishing I'd at least ventured into the world of cloth nappies?!

Jelley; that is the joy of being with Abbey National. Such a PITA, but we've got all our stuff there. Too much to flounce off to someone else! Dh's account and 2 savings ones, my 2 savings ones, mortgage, the boys accounts. At least my current account is with TSB! BTW, we do chitty for groceries and household things, but he does a direct debit to me to cover the phone (in my name so I still have proof of ID!!!), and a fixed amount for the boys needs to top up the child benefit. God, I sound like such a drippy dependant Its really just like that because when we moved here, I had to put all my life savings into it to be able to afford it (plus a loan off my Dad!), hence I have no disposable money.

2boysmacca · 26/02/2007 20:21

mrm - I used to say the same about credit cards but we needed to hire a car on a holiday we once had and then had to get one. Now, everything goes on it without exception. It gets paid off every month without fail and we earn lots of points to trade for free money . Helps your credit rating too

2boysmacca · 26/02/2007 20:26

I hate being dependant on dh. I was always the one with the healthy balance but I spent my last bit of savings last year putting a new floor in

mustrunmore · 26/02/2007 20:28

I know; the vredit rating thing makes saense. But its just one extra hassle to ensure its paid off, and harder to keep track of spending. I know, I'm ancient
