Awww hon that you didn't get any, fingers x'd next time it snows you get loads.

2boysmacca · 08/02/2007 20:34

But at least you don't have to face all that horrible slush tomorrow!

CanSleepWontStarve · 08/02/2007 20:34

I'm here now. Was too cold to be out playing in the snow all day - just a quick spell this morning, then been knocking around the house trying to keep dd entertained all afternoon.

Great friend macca. Did you mean ds1 was talking about his day when you said ds2, or is Luca particularly advanced in his language?

Frizbe · 08/02/2007 20:41

ello, I'm just going to see to dd2, whose just started yelling, teeth??? oh let there be at least one soon??? back later!

hotmama · 08/02/2007 20:43

Happy birthday Pippa!

Can I forewarn that I am pretty crap at remembering birthday in rl - so sorry if I give out belated wishes!

You'll probably have to remind me that it's dd2's birthday on Saturday.

Where has this year gone?

Do you think mornig paper will do a weekly summary of this thread as I can never catch up - only on tonight as dp is out - is out tomorrow as well - so will be around!

Hope everyone is doing well.

2boysmacca · 08/02/2007 20:44

Yes, very advanced. It's only when he starts reciting his 12x table that I have to remind myself he's not yet 1.

2boysmacca · 08/02/2007 20:46

OK, am I wrong to be going away for the week and missing Valentines day with Dh? Nah, thought not

hotmama · 08/02/2007 20:53

I think I may have given my last bf this morning! I'm just doing mornings now - but I don't seem quite able to stop.

If dd2 isn't screaming and does seem to be feeding do you reckon she is getting any milk?

I have got to stop soon - well before I go away at the end of March - but I'm finding it hard.

It is time to stop (so don't ask me to carry on) - I just never realised it can be soooooo hard to stop!

hotmama · 08/02/2007 20:55

2boysmacca - would dh be inundating you with pressies? If not, then enjoy your week away - you lucky thing!

You may have already said but where are you going etc?

2boysmacca · 08/02/2007 20:58

My mothers! Meeting my sister and her monsters (I kid you not) - nothing to be envious of!

lol at the pressies! Although he does have a romantic streak. Prior to kids I always got a bunch of Arum lilies on VD as they were in my wedding bouquet.

Wish I was still Bf, he gave me up at 7 months (sad)

PhoenixGirl · 08/02/2007 21:11

I hope Lewis isn't gonna be poorly for his birthday tomorrow. I said the other day he was coughing a lot and slowly he's getting worse He's been miserable again all day today and got a snotty nose to go with his cough.

He's been off his food for a few days too (well except blueberries, that i honestly think he'd eat til he tuns into one )

Luckily (please don't jinx it) he has been sleeping still.

Fingers crossed he'll be ok, we're taking him to a soft play tomorrow afternoon for his b'day.

Frizbe · 08/02/2007 21:43

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Lewis
hope he's ok Phoenix.

Hotmama, awww your little ones growing up eh! Happy birthday for sunday too! I was sad to stop bf too, but I did longer than I'd expected too (after dd1 and her hatred of anything boob) try not to be too sad, I seem to remember your heading for a wedding dress right, so better to get your boobs back now! and then have another baby later (it was you who was on about having another wasn't it?)

Macca I was going to say enjoy yourself, but it sounds like you might not, so I'll keep my trap shut

hotmama · 08/02/2007 21:46

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Lewis (thanks for the reminder Frizbe)

dd2 is 1 on Saturday

Yep, heading for a wedding dress and hopefully dd3/ds1 (at some point in the future!)

Frizbe · 08/02/2007 21:49

Oopse Saturday! not sun.... ahem....

PhoenixGirl · 08/02/2007 22:26

I knew it. He's not sleeping tonight woke up crying now 4 times.

Jelley · 08/02/2007 22:56

Hope he settles and is ok tomorrow, Phoenix.

PhoenixGirl · 08/02/2007 23:00

Thanks jel so do i. Bloody typical tho since i posted that he hasn't woke up. He's still coughing tho

PhoenixGirl · 08/02/2007 23:02

I'm off to bed just in case night all (if anyone's here. )

Jelley · 09/02/2007 07:05

Morning all,

Happy Birthday Lewis.
I hope he is not unwell this morning.

I have fresh resolve to get ds going to bed at a time of my chosing, rather than his. The last two nights he has gone at 7.30 despite not dropping off when feeding, and screamed but I am going to do my best to stick with it. If I can keep him lying down, he does fall asleep, and is going until at least 3 without waking.

The snow hasn't all melted but we have not had more, and school is open.

CanSleepWontStarve · 09/02/2007 07:36

Happy Birthday Lewis.

We are back to 10 hours a night regularly now. The extra hour when she was doing 11 makes such a difference.

OP posts:
Jelley · 09/02/2007 07:41

Can you make bedtime a bit later, so her ten hours match yours a bit more?

Flamesparrow · 09/02/2007 08:06

Happy Birthday Lewis

My heart breaks for you Tabs - we are back to every 3 hour waking

DD back at school today

Oooh and we found the NTL remote.

Herpes helpline update

They were lovely - told me more in 2 mins than my googling and doctor managed put together.

Obv with no results yet they said it had to be based on most common thing... Which is - he had type 1 (oral - coldsores etc) which lives on the face (well, PREFERS to live on the face, like me preferring to live by the sea). It can be transferred to other places - eg his boy bits, but its sort of like a secondary infection (moving me to inner city). It is still the type 1 (which WILL stay in his body), but if it decides to crop up again, it will in all probability be the face, and only go back down there if he transfers it by fiddling!!!

So - on genitals, but NOT "genital herpes" iyswim

Better go get sorted... sat here merrily MNing and we'll be late!

Oh, CSWS - what's the weather like? DH is worrying about snow, driving etc.

Chloe55 · 09/02/2007 08:45

Morning ladies

Happy birthday Lewis, happy belated birthday Pippa!

Had a horrible day yesteray - you know I told you about my tetanus on wed? Well, yesterday I couldn't lift my arm and felt like I had flu - it was awful but apparantly it seems it was just a bad reaction to the jab. My arm still hurts but thankfully I am not achey anymore.

DH has forbidden me to go shopping for ds's bday party tomorrow and is instead going himself which basically means he will forget everything He doesn't trust me to keep the cost down.

Right better get some housework done beofre work. I take one day off through illness and the house looks like a bomb has hit it again, bloody men grrrrrrr (Sorry MrCSWS )

mustrunmore · 09/02/2007 08:49

Hey, I had a fit of housework last night (by my standards!) After the boys went to bed at 7.30, I cleaned the bathroom mirror, hoovered, cleaned the kitchen, made a bean chilli for tonight, wrapped 2 birthday pressies for friends, sorted out the fridge, did some washing. The conclusion I have made is that housework is pointless, as it leaves you no time to run or anything!
