mustrunmore · 09/02/2007 08:52

Oh, and i think I have a properly toddling boy now.

damewashalot · 09/02/2007 10:08

Too much to read it all as I was busy having fun in the snow yesterday, so.....
Happy birthday for today and yesterday and all thoses I have missed Yay for the walking boy
I can't believe they are having birthdays already, this years gon so fast, thias time last year i was fed up and wanted it out, NOW and you lot kept having yours

damewashalot · 09/02/2007 12:08

Flame, I've been looking on bumfluff, have to say that I have never really been tempted with washables but the brainwashing is working as I think they look lovely must stop lookin dh will not let mer and I can't do the washing I already have nevermind nappies too
One complaint, I clicked the about us button and my brain can't cope with you being called anything other than flame

PhoenixGirl · 09/02/2007 12:25

Hi,

Lewis is ok in himself today but still got a cough, i've got him some childrens benylin cough and cold medicine so we'll see how he gets on, he's been crawling all over and playing happily all morning so we're still gonna take him to soft play soon.

MIL has big style p*ed me off again today. She's only got him a card for his birthday the excuse yet again is they're skint. I'm pretty sure they could have spared a fiver.

hey flame someone put ideas in my head yesterday. She reminded me that i spend £10+ a month on disposeables so i could buy a new re-useable every month

Flamesparrow · 09/02/2007 14:20

Ahh PG... its that theory that has meant I've saved sod all with cloth Listing the nappies is hard too - so many I wanna try out!

Asked DH how much a nappy cost yesterday.. his guess was £6, so I told him to keep believing that number

Dame - you know you want the fluffy goodness really I have been considering adding Flamesparrow in brackets next to my name on the contact us bit.

Rearranged the lounge last night, put the toys in drawers - DS got up, went straight to the right drawer for his toys, and opened it He was asleep when we did it!!! He's not normally a drawer opener either (puller off sides, but not opening drawers )

ellenrose · 09/02/2007 14:50

Happy Birthday Lewis and belated wishes for Pippa

CSWS- the photo is lovely (Maisie has that all in one from Muddy Puddles - they are great aren't they!) You look fab by the way!

Liking the new logo Flame.

Hello to everyone else - still trying to catch up . . .

Chloe55 · 09/02/2007 15:35

I ahve updated some piccies on my profile page if anyone is interested.

I banged into a neighbour's car today , I slipped on the ice and have slightly scratched it. Whoops, it's a banger so I'm hoping he won't want to do anything about it.

2boysmacca · 09/02/2007 16:52

I'm interested! You make me feel OLD!

mustrunmore · 09/02/2007 17:32

Why did I read that as 'banged into a neighbour's cat'?!

how did you manage to look so fresh 2 days after having a baby?

Frizbe · 09/02/2007 20:19

MRM I just read it as cat too, how weird, will get dh to read it as a double check! no he thinks I'm a looney
Happy Birthday Lewis!
Chloe, ouch for jab, hope you feeling better today?
Flame I'd leave your mumsnet details off it, just in case any weird people read it and try to come and see you in real life, n vice versa, cause you talk about your kids a lot on here and if your real address is on the website anywhere.....well you know....never be too careful.....
So how many of you are now sinking in lots of snow, we have about 3incs outside and its still falling, going to carry on until dawn apparently, dh has had to abandon his car at our friends house, as he couldn't get it up our close its a slippery slightly uphill corner that's scuppered most of the street tonight!
My dads rung and it took him two hours to get home, via several cars that had left the road and rolled off thru hedges, were stuck upside down etc he said as soon as he got 2 miles from home, it all turned to rain!!! I've told him its cause of that whopping great powerstation down the valley from him, superheats the air when everyone is making their teas.....come morning he'll have snow too I reckon, once the power surge slows down.

hotmama · 09/02/2007 20:23

Happy Birthday Lewis!

Just thinking that this time last year I was probably pushing the boost button on my TENS machine - and went to hosp at 10.30.

Think I'll have a glass of wine and reminisce (sp)

Frizbe · 09/02/2007 20:25

Hotmama have you got snow?

PhoenixGirl · 09/02/2007 20:26

We've got snow here now too frizbe, looooooooooooots of it

hotmama · 09/02/2007 20:29

I've just checked out of my front door - as it's too dark to just look out of the window!

Is snowing but not really settling - but my car windscreen is getting a layer of snow on.

So may well have snow in the morning - which will be a bit inconvenient as I haven't done the food shop for dd2's party on Sunday - so I hope I'm not snowed in.

Frizbe · 09/02/2007 20:47

Thanks Hotmama! just trying to gague how far into Notts its snowing!! lol

Frizbe · 09/02/2007 20:47

Phoenix Hurrah, you can sledge tomorrow now

CanSleepWontStarve · 09/02/2007 20:48

Jelley - bedtime is already 8 - any later seems just too late. She's only had half an hour nap today, and was up at 6:20am and went to bed at 7:45pm - if she doesn't do 12 hours tonight then I don't think she ever will!!

Flame - weather fine for driving round here now .

Boo for your arm Chloe. Dh had a travel jab today as he has to go to India soon with work, and has also been moaning about it hurting. He even asked me if I would carry the vacuum cleaner up the stairs for him!

mrm - entirely agree re housework. Only making a bit of an effort because of party tomorrow and visitors arriving Sunday .

Chloe - fab pictures.

Did Lewis have a good day pg?

Frizbe · 09/02/2007 20:56

why can I not see Chloes Pics?

PhoenixGirl · 09/02/2007 21:05

Lewis had a great birthday he seemed loads better this afternoon and he's ate quite a bit too which is good.

here he is with his Thomas Tank birthday cake.

and

here demolishing a slice

2boysmacca · 09/02/2007 21:05

No snow here either.

Have the inlaws here tomorrow as we are out tomorrow night. I'm not sure it's worth it, having to give up our bed just for a night out? We're going to some friends for dinner so I feel a bit awkward asking another of the girls to babysit when they've not been invited iyswim? Need to behave though as we are going to a pool party on Sunday morning

Have a great weekend for all the birthday babies having their parties. I hope you take lots of photos to post for us all.

PhoenixGirl · 09/02/2007 21:06

Am i the only mean mummy not having a party?

2boysmacca · 09/02/2007 21:06

V. cute

2boysmacca · 09/02/2007 21:07

We won't be having one either. I can't face another party so soon after ds1. Now, that's mean

CanSleepWontStarve · 09/02/2007 21:22

Frizbe - you have remembered to click on the 'Chloe's pictures' link on her profile haven't you?
