PhoenixGirl · 25/02/2007 20:31

Oh yes, love the pictures, macca where did u get the balloon with his name on?

2boysmacca · 25/02/2007 20:32

Ditto csws

I believe it's beacuse they can get themselves caught underneath them when they sit up.

PhoenixGirl · 25/02/2007 20:33

Don't know csws, maybe it's because they could use it to pull themselves up and could pull it onto their face

2boysmacca · 25/02/2007 20:33

His auntie sent it too him. We've had to deflate his non helium balloons because ds1 got himself into a state in case they burst

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 25/02/2007 20:34

Oh I agree with the eating cycles... DD does it in about 6 week stretches.

I have been asked to remove DH's pic

Long day, fell out with my sister... off to drink wine n watch er!

PhoenixGirl · 25/02/2007 20:34

i'm scared of balloons too macca

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 25/02/2007 20:36

Anyone here done Mark Warner?

SoupDragon · 25/02/2007 20:36

BabyDragon doesn't have a cot bumper, I use eat pads from Ikea. They don't restrict the airflow because I've left gaps between them but the do stop her smacking her head on the bars and waking herself up. also, they're firm foam so she can't get trapped under them. They aren't, however, very attractive! Another safety aspect is that they can use them to climb up and out of their cot. Not that I've found BabyDragon crying under my bed, oh nonononono and even if I had it would have been because I'd not lowered the cot base....

She's also now sporting a rather fetching cluster of Seri Strips on her forehead following an altercation with PIL's stone fireplace. She may have to grow a fringe to cover the scar...

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 25/02/2007 20:37

DS has a bumper on the outside of his cot - so he can't see out - he gets lost with it inside though

SoupDragon · 25/02/2007 20:37

seat pads

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 25/02/2007 20:37

Oh, forgot to say fab playcentre! Can you fit lots of their toys in the cabin bit out of the way?

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 25/02/2007 20:38

Ouch SD .

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 25/02/2007 20:40

Soupy!!! You've been gone for aaaaaaaaages. Steristrip forehead sounds interesting... doesn't she keep pulling them off? DS would be taking them off and eating them

Chloe55 · 25/02/2007 20:41

I got rid of the cot bumper when ds could pull himself up because he was starting to stand on it and try and get out

He has about 8oz milk in the morning and I have reintroduced the dream feed because he won't take his evening bottle so he has about 16oz in total. I tend to let him have a go at feeding himself if I can but only after I have attempted to get him to eat first becuase most of it ends up on the floor, he just shakes his head everytime the spoon comes near. In fact, today, he had such a paddy that he grabbed the bowl of chicken casserole that I had lovingly prepared and threw it across the room, covering me, himself and the walls in the process Oh the joys of children

2boysmacca · 25/02/2007 20:41

Nope! Considered it though.

Soupy, ouch!

Rodders, I presume Dh asked you to remove him rather than MnHQ? Dh has just pissed himself at your name and said he'd use that as a title for his book He keeps going on about a book he'll write one of these days , yawm yawn

SoupDragon · 25/02/2007 20:47

This is BabyDragon we're talking about, Little Miss Contrary... she hasn't touched them! I think the cut was under 1cm long, I wasn't really looking just thinking "B&gger. What's the Spanish for 'my daughter needs her head sticking back together'?". Luckily, MIL speaks Spanish and the clinic doctors spoke English anyway. It'll be a lonnnnng time before we go back to visit them! We'd been there less than 5 hours .

Yes, I've been successfully curtailing my MN habit. I'm just chilling out following my PFBs 8th brthday (How did my baby boy get to be eight??) and trying not to post (unsuccessfully) on weaning threads.

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 25/02/2007 20:47

lmao - yes mnhq found his piratey goodness too much to bear

2boysmacca · 25/02/2007 20:55

PhoenixGirl · 25/02/2007 20:57

Frizbe · 25/02/2007 22:35

Hey all! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RORY
CSWS, hope throat is better tomorrow
MRM for lack of sleep
3K for things not going so well, but like CSWS says, it ain't over yet {{{{Hugs}}}} hope you guys sort things out soon, more time and talking will hopefully do the trick.
Macca, your so slim, I'm so love the photos, lol at boy's stance your cake looked yummy too, did you make it?
Jelley, hope you had a great time at your mates
I got my act together today and brought dd2's birthday prezzie (the old sandpit like everyone else! will give dd1 something to play with too!) got lots of other bits too, cause they were cute like plates, napkins, banners etc, I'm turning into a right softie in my old age and a cute bib too.......
Phoenix/Chloe, was up your way yesterday to Elsecar Heritage Centre, quite nice innit?! has anyone been to the play centre there?
They had a clothing fair on there, for our busniness, so I got 2 x pirate shirts (calm down girls) 1 x ex theatre frock coat, tis a gorgeous emerald green and fits me purrrrfect and two belts for a £5! oh and a pouch thing as well! we then drifted upto York to check out a site we're using for more events later this year and confirm details with the manager.

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 25/02/2007 22:37
