MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 22/02/2007 09:35

Can he lay down?

damewashalot · 22/02/2007 10:12

Are you giving calpol and ibruprufen? Think the dr has to be the way to go poor little thing

mustrunmore · 22/02/2007 10:22

He lies down when he finally finds a position he likes; bum in the air usually. Quite happy at the moment trashing the bathroom (learnt to open the door). I'd say he's 7/10 on a scale of miserable; is that enough to make it an eardrum?

CanSleepWontStarve · 22/02/2007 10:32

GO TO THE DOCTOR!

And yes, I did mean to shout .

OP posts:
damewashalot · 22/02/2007 10:37

" I dont want to be seen as a neurotic mother"....... read what you have told us , you are not being neurotic and I wouldn't make do with a nurse I'd want a real doctor
Have we all made you feel justified in taking him yet?

CanSleepWontStarve · 22/02/2007 10:38

3k - do you have to wait for the result of your fasting test? Hope it's ok. Never heard of thrush being associated with it before (db is diabetic).

for your thrush Jelley, but for standing/walking boy. See, you're going to have to get him shoes sooner or later .

dd awake on and off from 4:45 this morning - up to stay at 6:25. Sobbing with tiredness again by 8:50 and asleep by 9 - not a peep out of her since! Had to grab an extra hour myself too - was knackered.

Not sure what we're up to today - there was a local toddler group this morning, but we've missed that now, so might just take her into town this afternoon.

OP posts:
PhoenixGirl · 22/02/2007 10:38

I agree get him to the docs

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 22/02/2007 10:52

And once again - YOU GONE TO DOCTORS YET?

damewashalot · 22/02/2007 11:32

Maybe she's not here because is at the doctors

ellenrose · 22/02/2007 12:29

Hoping you are at the doctors

Jelley · 22/02/2007 14:00

what did the Dr say?

Frizbe · 22/02/2007 15:12

MRM hope you are at the docs and that ds is now happily full of treatment and feeling happier.

CSWS boo for lack of sleep hope your having a better day of it today and she's napping properly right now!

Flame/Dave someone rang me looking for nappies this am, so I directed them to your site hope they've brought something.

3K {{{{Hugs}}}} Hope you get things sorted soon, agree with CSWS tho, your never on your own with us lot on here of an evening!

Jas hurrah for walking boy!

Hi to Dam, Macca, Phoenix, Chloe and Ellenrose too

Belated Happy Birthdays to Bram and Luca hope you had great days?

Been a bit hectic this week, did the orrible McD's yesterday too with the sucking the salt off the chips for dd2 as well, as took ss back upto Leeds, and then it was teatime, so popped into Meadowhall to feed the girls, have decided dd1 is already a shopaholic nightmare, mummmy this is nice, can I have that, can we go in here..... wonder where she gets it from
Have done soft play over lunch after preschool and then dh is having the kids in about half an hr for rest of day, whilst I go and meet the electrician at my friends house to get the lights sorted, then hopefully it'll be back in a fully rentable state and we can get someone in!

Chloe55 · 22/02/2007 15:48

Sorry to hear about the ear - hope the doc has sorted you out now.

Ds has gone back to bed, he is miserable and has very sticky eyes DH is away this weekend on another bloody stag do so looks like I will have poorly ds on my own.

Mum bought me a Strictly Dance Fever workout video for my bday so might give it a go now - will be back to tell you how it went!

2boysmacca · 22/02/2007 16:04

Chloe, if ds has sticky eyes, you ned to get him to the dr's too

Mrm, how's the patient?

For those who suck salt off the fries in McD's. If you frequent at a non busy time, they can make them without the salt you know. We were always asked to do a batch without them. You just need to ask a friendly worker

Just come back from the gym. I ache but I just love the feeling

Went back to hairdressers this morning after my dental appoinment (34 years and still no fillings ). Hairdresser has cut it better, hoping I can cope this time.

Betetr go and get the dinenr sorted. Is it time for a glass of wine yet?

ellenrose · 22/02/2007 17:16

Yep, Chloe, get some drops - hideous applying but they do the job.

Hi Frizbe - I'm on electrician duty tomorrow as we have no lights upstairs at the moment - kids cleaning teeth by candle light is a recipe for a disaster!

MRM - hope the docs have sorted you out.

2boys - impressive dental record . Glad you are happier with your hair but now you have got me thinking about wine . . . ER off to have a rummage in the cupboard for potential bottles to open with fishcakes ?!?!?

2boysmacca · 22/02/2007 19:34

Dinner over, lasagane and a glass of rioja. Glad when folks arrive on Saturday witha case of wine Gosh, I sound like an alcoholic!

Now, should I offer to wash up or just let dh get on with it??

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 22/02/2007 20:11

Hiya - just on quick - at my mums.. powercut! DH says there are lots of men lookin in a big hole outside

Am I doing the right thing... in the nappy section I am giving advice, but not saying "and you can buy this in my shop", or even trying to mention the shop... it just seems a bit wrong somehow when people are asking advise - but I am missing out on sales because of that. What do I do? Keep on as I am with nice ettiquette, but fewer sales, or be pushy??

Frizbe - thanks Will look out for her hopefully!!!

2boysmacca · 22/02/2007 20:26

A girls gotta earn! Offer advice but then say, once you've made a decison, take a look in my shop

CanSleepWontStarve · 22/02/2007 20:29

I would probably post something like... Feel free to have a look in my shop where you can buy these - details here.... and link them to your MN ad, so that the MN police won't jump on you for advertising without paying.

mrm - you must surely be back from the doctor's now, unless they've had to amputate his ear (in which case this comment will seem in very poor taste ).

OP posts:
2boysmacca · 22/02/2007 20:41

Those sort of comments always get me into trouble. Like the time I sent my great uncle a get well card "hope you hop hop hop back into good health." Yes, he was in hospital to have his right leg off sorry

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 22/02/2007 20:46

I think it is the paying for advertising thing that is irking tbh. Good idea to link to the ad

3k · 22/02/2007 22:09

MRM - sounds nasty with the ear, hope you got on ok at the docs.

Flame - it's not your fault the dye came out of the nappies so dont worry hon. I cant tell which nappies were cream and which were blue now but they still look lovely on

Well DS has finally managed a poo tonight but is still struggling and crying. His little bum hole actually is bleeding where the poo is too big and hard. He wont eat. I gave him a bath and tried baby massage on his belly for a while then put some vaseline around his bum then finally a poo. He also had a few prunes today and if I give him apple juice out of the nurofen syringe he takes it so I managed about 40ml which I thought was quite good!!

DH looked after DS this morning, got a kiss when he came in but we havent spoken about it all yet. Think we are doing that at the weekend. He is looking after DS again tomorrow. I'm scared what his decision will be, he has spoken to my sister and says he loves me still but we just need to get over these problems. I think one way or another we will know what is happening over the weekend.

PhoenixGirl · 22/02/2007 22:10

Why can't u advertise? there is another mn-er with a nappy website that i've seen a link to.

PhoenixGirl · 22/02/2007 22:14

ds' poo is hard too. So is it cows milk that causes it then? I'll have to try and get some sort of juice down him tomorrow but he has one taste of it realises its not water or milk and won't touch it again.

Jelley · 22/02/2007 22:27

Will the constipated babies eat dried fruit, if they don't want juice?
Prunes work, as do apricots - soak them first and keep giving water as well.

Flame - you have paid for the ad.- I think a link to the ad is totally acceptable. Not sure about linking direct to the site once your ad runs out though.

I've bought ready made madeira cakes to turn into a train for ds next week. I haven't the time or motivation to make them. Most birthday cake doesn't get eaten anyway IME.
