Sept 05 babies - anyone else's destroying their house?

JoshandJamie · 07/02/2007 17:52

My 16 month/nearly 17 month old is systematically destroying our house. I literally cannot clear up one mess before he's made another. Today in the space of 30 minutes, he had got into three toilets and either pulled used paper out of them, shoved toys in them or used the loo brush to paint the walls.

He then got into the kitchen cupboard and got into the box of teabags and ripped them apart sprinkling the tea leaves on the floor.

He then walked into the hallway, reached up to the top of the telephone table (fairly high) and managed to knock off a VERY heavy glass vase so that it smashed into a million tiny shards (and remarkably walked away unhurt) and at the same time managed to smash the mini CD player underneath the vase.

While out at a soft play centre, he knocked over someone's cup of coffee, stole someone's lollipop and someone else's drink.

Once home, he dug up freshly planted bulbs and brought all the mud inside which he deposited in the kitchen cupboard.

Supper was smeared everywhere - I now have cous cous from floor to ceiling. And I won't even get started on what the toy room looks like.

In case you're wondering, I do keep an eye on him but have a 3 year old too and need to occassionally pee or get dressed. I feel like I am about to lose my mind. My house is a shit pit. I know I will spend hours clearing it up tonight only to have it destroyed again tomorrow.

Sorry for the moan. Just needed to get it off my chest instead of throttling the small chap. I know he's just exploring but my patience is wearing thin.

Good luck with further TTC Jaamy... sorry to hear of your cp. You take care too sweetie will send good vibes your way for BFP !! x

JustJaamy · 02/04/2008 16:30

Thanks Wabbitt and MJD. It was a bit upsetting and a bit surreal. Got a BFP, then a BFN, then a BFP, then finally a -ve at the hospital. Was up and down for about a week. Not meant to be this time round, I suppose but the DDs keep me busy so don't have time to dwell on it.

MH - have been trying to email you but DH (in his wisdom as IT expert) had set me up with a dynamic IP and hotmail doesn't trust it. Keeps bouncing back. Busy at the mo' with bits of freelance work but promise will call when I get a minute. Hope you are well. Can't remember whether you had MS with D.

mummyhill · 03/04/2008 07:21

Loads of hugs Jaamy, everything I think of to write down just looks wrong iyswim.

Try sending to wjhill

blueyonder

I seem to remember that it is a co dot uk addy, I am having problems with MSN at the moment myself otherwise I would of called you myself.

MrsJonnyDepp · 04/04/2008 17:45

Hello all!

Just heard my sister is in hospital with an eptopic pregnancy - so sad

mummyhill · 04/04/2008 18:21

Hugs MJD

JustJaamy · 05/04/2008 12:49

Hugs to you and your sister MJD. Hope they don't have to do anything too drastic.

A friend of mine (in Aus) had an EP and they have offered her che o injections instead of removing anything. Not sure how that works as heard this second hand from another friend but apparently it will not effect her fertility. Still an awful thing to go through.

MH - dynamic IP doesn't like blueyonder, either but DH working on an alternative this weekend. Feel like shoemaker's wife. DH works in IT and our PC is always having problems!

MrsJonnyDepp · 07/04/2008 19:10

Hello! Thankfully (as strange as it sounds) the pregancy had stopped growing at 5 weeks and she is waiting to miscarry - back to doctors tomorrow. She is very upset - but positive for the future.

wabbit · 08/04/2008 15:23

All the best wishes to your sister MJD - I'm sure you're a great support to her, it must be so hard for you to see someone you love in such distress {{hugs}}

And HI to everyone just completed my first day as a childminder running Kindergarten from home.... think it went really well

JustJaamy · 08/04/2008 20:23

CONGRATULTIONS wabbitt

And well done for getting through the first day. You must be so proud of yourself - all that hard work paying off. Hope the Kindergarten goes from strength to strength. Only wish we were near enough to pay you a visit. I bet it's fab and C loves all his little friends.

How goes it with the notsonew man?

MJD - Your sister must be very brave to put a postitive angle on her EP. Hope it won't be long before she has a successful pgy.

MH - hope you are keeping well and MS not set in to badly.

mummyhill · 09/04/2008 07:47

Yeah Wabbitt well done on getting through first day of Kindy.

Don't talk to me about sickness, feeling tired, tearful, achey and snappy as well as being sick more than all previous pregnancies combined.

wabbit · 10/04/2008 00:15

Thank you lovely people, have had lovely start to new term...

JustJaamy - lovely not so new man is just adorable, has been such a help and support - makes me smile every day 'I think I LUURVE him I tihink I LUURVE him!!!'

MH - it's worth all the woosey, ookie, bloaty, achey, knackeredness in the end, but you get my sympathy for how you're feeling sweetie xxx

mummyhill · 10/04/2008 07:07

Thanks wabbitt. I know it's just that I need to be able to look after the other 2.

Not so new - newman sounds great.

Just been signed off work for 2 weeks and prescribed anti sickness drugs. Got blood tests today for thyroid, psychologist on Friday to see how I am coping with lack of AD's and Madwife on Monday. They are all telling me to slow down but with school runs, nursery runs and all these appointments I don't have much chance!

MrsJonnyDepp · 11/04/2008 16:03

I'm a madwife every day Mummyhill = I try not to save it just for Mondays!

ohhhh new man Wabbitt - how lovely!

Hello Jammy - yes my sister is being very positive. I feel really sure she will be pregnant by Christmas = really hope she is!!! So pleased keep every thing crossed! (they had been TTC for 2.5 years)

MrsJonnyDepp · 11/04/2008 16:06

Well done Wabbitt on your own Kindergarten. You are very brave!!! There is bedlam going on downstairs - I'm letting DH sort the kids

mummyhill · 11/04/2008 16:32

Blood test went ok, she got blood out of me first time which is nothing short of a miracle.

Psych wants me to try minus ad's so mental health team are going to be popping in every week to monitor me.

Just got app with My lovely midwife on monday. I know she will just let me get on with it as she was great when I was expecting Davey.

Still waiting for a scan date will keep you all posted.

DH has just called to ask if we have paracetamol as there is a fluey, vomitting type bug going round at work at the momment and he feels rough! He can sleep in the shed/car/livingroom just don't give me any bugs atm cause I feel shit enough allready with morning sickness etc.

mummyhill · 15/04/2008 18:43

Scan date is 23rd May

mummyhill · 18/04/2008 13:52

Spent last 48 hrs in hospital we will be remaining a family of 4 for the forseable future.

JustJaamy · 22/04/2008 14:02

OH MH, just seen this. So very very sorry for you and DH. Please take it easy for a while.

Can you email me your tel number, if you want a chat? (Can still get emails, just can't send to hotmail or blueyonder) DD1 wiped the number memory on my phone and I lost your number.

mummyhill · 22/04/2008 18:22

The shock has worn off I am just very angry at the momment, waiting for it to hit properly iyswim.

JustJaamy · 28/04/2008 13:13
