Tindel i found 3rd jabs the worse. But on the plus side no more till their 1 now.
Thought i'd grab an early night as dp is out but ds keeps making noises so keep having to get up and check on him (hes asleep just whining in his sleep) which is wuite frustrating as i keep thinking hes woken up

Jabs turned out not so bad, let J sleep / feed on me all afternoon and he woke up about 6:30pm all smiley and wriggly. Was worried DH wouldn't be able to settle him, but he got him asleep upstairs, albeit on our bed not in his basket, and was chilling downstairs when I got back. It is clearly possible, I just need to get it sorted so we can have our evenings back!

Ive missed a few days sorry mugabeans. Love hugabeans bar ❤

Lily so sorry to hear about your cousin. Sending u a huge hug.

Joskar can't believe you're ill again you poor thing. It's like never ending for you. I hope this is the last of it now. Enjoy the photoshoot. I've been googling bf photos the other day as I was thinking I'd like a nice photo of me feeding because it's been such a hard battle but I didn't know if it was a bit weird to want one lol. Or if I put it on facebook would ppl think I was prideful in the fact that I could bf and was showing off about it. Also I don't have nice enough boobs lol. When I feed it looks like dd is suckling on my belly button as my nips are that low when released from their support heehee.

Mzzzf I hear ya on the hair situation. I barely had any to shave for weeks. Except now it's suddenly growing back with a vengeance and I'd not noticed or had time to shave, looked at my armpits one day and they were full on bushy 😂😂 oh the shame.

Glad jabs weren't too bad tindel. Hope j has had a good night for u.

I put piper in her own room last night. I just moved the crib in there. She's had a few extra wake ups overnight but I made dp get up and see to her! I couldn't bring myself to get out of bed until she woke again at 5 so then I fed her. Hopefully she'll get used to it.

Fatty I've had that on fb with a friend saying her baby was sitting up when she clearly wasn't. I'd seen her the day she put the status up and a few days late and at neither point could her baby sit up. She even said to me she's not really sitting up very well....so why put u on facebook that she was then?! I think she's a bit of an exaggerated but it annoys me.

Good morning my fellow sleep hungry mummas!!! Hope some sleep in whatever form was had last night. Ours wasn't great but wasn't every hour - small mercies!

However, a new skill has emerged! Unfortunately it's not sleeping for 8hrs!! But I mini mzzzf can now push herself into sitting from being on her tummy. Yay to functional sitting (sorry but my Physio hat is never far away!) and yay to hopefully ending some of her frustration until she's fully mobile. She's very pleased with herself every time she does it and squeals when she's upright, what a loonie! 😁

Footmuff not available for collection yet - boo! I've got an offer of a coffee morning thing this morning but in coincides with her morning nap 😕 Really hope folk don't think I'm being too antisocial... The army wives love a coffee morning (it's my idea of hell) but I need to make some friends up here so will drag myself round if she wakes early.

And in other news it is FRIDAY!!! Cue choruses of hallelujah and confetti falling!! 😁😁🎉🎊

I'm going to Pilates! With travel time that's two hours to myself! Woo hoo! Just feed, feed, feeding the baby so she'll not be too hungry while I'm away. So excited!

IKEA Antilop highchair btw is the easiest to clean ime. Mucho cheap too. We had a fancier one but it was such a pita to wipe all the crevasses.

Re topiary: There could be Pygmy tribes living down there and I wouldn't know. Rarely even bother with my legs much less further up. I put all that carry on in the too hard basket a long time ago. Same with ironing. Cba with that either. Wink

My baby has zero skills. Except extraordinary cuteness. No rolling or sitting or anything. She does good chuckles though.

Hope there was lots of sleep last night.

Happy Friday, super Mammies!

Joskar my baby also has zero skills apart from rolling to his side (he only does this so he can see the tv) so wouldnt even class it as a skill. We have hv coming to weigh ds today seen as though he still isnt having full feeds. Happy friday everyone!

Nathan can sit if placed there. Can commando crawl slowly probably because its hard work dragging his weight along and roll. He's not going to be standing any time soon! I wanted to post this pic in the comments but DP told me off. Grin

Hi All

Just got through the insanity that was 6 non family house guests and F's baptism and party and recovered enough. We even managed no voms on the family robes!

Deep sympathy to Lily and thoughts to the family as well.

Hope your boob gets better soon Joskar!

Need to start topiary soon - baby swimming is now possible as F's finally big enough for the 3-8 month swim wetsuit! Currently a mess as prioritised hair dye (so many greys!) over topiary when DH was free for a long enough period before the baptism!

We have one proper skill - she rolls front to back - that's it for tummy time until she sees the point as put her down and she's over. She gets close to going back to front but just before the point of no return swings her legs back to make sure she doesn't end on her front. Determined child!

She has sat unsupported once - on my belly but prefers supported standing - can see more I suppose - nosy child! Can't find anything else soft enough but hope she'll figure it out when she sees the point.

Have a high chair. Went for the Hauck Alpha but need to sort cushions as she's a bit small for it so far. Still has tongue thrust reflex so planning to sit her at the table with us and see when she's ready... have had plenty of plate swiping incidents and my reaction time for threatened glasses is getting better and better! Anyone got any (kindle) book recommendations - hoping to do baby led weaning as dog will help with tidying and cba with spoons unless they're normal for the food type - porridge/yoghurt when we get the dairy situation sussed!

Must get on and phone HVs to book a weigh in - think she's still on the 25th where she was born but she's still in 0-3 separates but stretching some 3-6 baby gros! Clearly taking after her dad as the opposite build to me...

Hopefully she's learning something else at the moment as she's being a git to get to sleep day and night but at leasy she lasts a while once she's gone or I'd be a total zombie.

Just munching some Aldi Stollen which is dairy and egg free - help yourselves!

Hi everyone, sorry i have been away for a few days. No reason really just not got around to posting.

I am really sorry to hear about your cousin lily Flowers

Sorry you are ill again Joskar.

I feel that this week is the first time in over a month that everyone in our house is well. It makes such a difference to our mood and also means sleep has been a bit better this week too.Smile

Ds1 has had his first week at school nursery and thankfully is loving it but is so tired at teatime, I am sure he'll get used to it.

Ds2 is rolling over all the time just now but gets really frustrated when he ends up on his tummy. He could roll over front to back first but he seems to have forgotten this. Confused so I am constantly flipping him back.

I have just baked a batch of portuguese custard tarts with ds2 in the sling in our first back carry. He seemed to like it, he feel asleep instantly. Cot naps during the day are still hit and miss. Will try again properly next week for the afternoon nap when ds1 is at nursery.

Tomorrow is my birthday so going to the cinema and for coffee and cake with some friends in the afternoon. I have decided not to express any milk because last time it increased my supply so much I was leaking fir over a week. So dh will have the pleasure of trying ds2 with formula for the first time. Hope it goes ok.

Right got to go pick dh up from work. It's too icy to cycle apparently then it's Friday night/ birthday eve!! Have a good one mugabeans.

Ooh happy bday peachy! That's exactly what happening to DS he gets stuck on his front. Tried cot naps today as he looked exhausted from nit getting any daytime sleep but think I put him up too early. So he wasn't tired and cried. But I pupd and he then got tired but still cried whatever I did so in complete frustration I left for a bit. Broke my heart. Not doing it again he got really upset. I went to check on him and he'd fallen asleep on his front so was probably crying from tiredness and being beached . Aww. Well he got almost three hours and looked much better for it. But the crying was awful. One day at a time eh. Was also odd staying in all day! Read that book 'on the night you were born' to him tonight and felt so bad about him getting upset. So hard to know what to do for the best as he needs proper rest. Anyway. Happy weekend all.

YY to the IKEA high chair!! joskar we too had a 'fancier' one that became a rancid bacteria encrusted nightmare regardless of how well you cleaned it. The Antilop was the best £11 I spent Grin

We've got the Ikea high chair, it's brilliant! Potato washed right off.

Had friends and kids over this afternoon - three adults, one three year old, and one one year old. DS is completely exhausted from all the excitement. Here's hoping that translates into sleeping tonight! he's currently passed out on the boob while we wait for DP to get home from the pub.

I'm starting to feel really irritated that he gets at least one night a week out while I put DS to bed alone. I'm so jealous, I desperately want to be able to go out in the evening. :(

Evening Augmums!

Didn't realise I had missed a whole day of posting yesterday! I was really busy and now I think about it I can't think what I was doing!! Seems baby brain is still here!

What are the ikea bibs like frolic? I'm slowly building up a collection of different ones to try to see which save the most of DS's clothes!

Tindel- glad the jabs were ok and fantastic that J let you have an evening out with little fuss!!

Wow that there were no posts overnight hopefully we are all turning a corner!?

Thanks for the hug dozy and well done piper on her first night in her room. And thanks the rest of you for the sympathies it really does help.

Yay for mini Mzzf sitting up herself!! That's amazing bet she looks like a real little person now! DS can reliably sit up for about 30 seconds now when placed like that but can't get himself there. Laughing at the FB fakery one of the many reasons DS is yet to appear on there and I don't think he ever will to be honest.

All this talk of topiary is making me giggle- for me my legs are hairier than the dogs but the lady business and armpits are always neatly trimmed its just a thing I can't stand letting get overgrown- even when massively prego I was keeping up with it using a mirror- scary stuff k tell you!!!

Peachy- happy birthday!! What you going to watch at the pics? Need a date night with DH and the cinema is usually our thing at the mo- I know it's a set amount of time till we can pick DS up Blush

Aww Magrat sorry DS is fighting naps so much it really is trial and error isn't it.

Given the circumstances of late I'm feeling pretty content this evening and like I'm winning for once!! Took DS the docs this morning who has referred to paediatrician regards the avocado reaction to make sure he's not got other allergies/ to get advice. Then had lunch at home- the 3 of us so cute in which DS was delighted at licking hummus off pitta bread. Walked to asda to get some bits and DS napped the whole time and for another hour when we got in. Then had brews with chocolate as its 'treat day'. DH has now gone out for a meal with work and I've bathed DS, fed him (he took a while feed for once!) and got him to fall asleep in his cot rather than my arms- albeit with me draped over the cot stroking his face but still it's progress! Now eating more choc and chilling before hopefully an early night if DS allows!!

I tried him with some normal formula today instead of the comfort milk he's been on since 2 months as he hadn't been having full feeds for about 2 months and has been getting more and more fussy squirming and screaming despite clearly still being hungry so I got the feeling maybe he was bored. He guzzled it down in one!!!! So now I'm stuck with 4 boxes of comfort milk as I bulk buy at the start of the month and there's no way I'm binning it as its a waste of money so need to find a way to combine/ alternate the two till its gone. Think I'll ring cow and gate in a bit when I'm sure DS is staying down for abit- FB messaged them before and they said they can't discuss infant formula via social media legally- how bizarre!!

Here's to a good night mugabeans- I hope so I've got a calpol plug in on the go in DS's room tonight after he woke up a couple of times last night all snotty.

Wow long post sorry!!!

Yo! Mugabeans! Happy Friday everyone 🙂🍹🍸🍷🍺
How are we all doing in the cold? We've had lots of hail, but no snow. So chuffed to have got one wear out of Ds' snowsuit at last.

An exciting day on the food front for us - Ds totally expected some food at lunch and dinner time, despite it only being a few days in to offering tastes. Carrot purée was a winner, but apple and banana stuff won hands down. I can't believe how interested in food he's got in such a short time. I was eating some strawberry laces earlier and he was transfixed.
I also can't quite believe how bad 5 days worth of non ebf poo smells! All 4 nappies of the stuff. Mega yuck 😷

We checked out a lovely new play group this morning - we'll definitely go again.

Lol at the Facebook faking - plenty of that on my timeline too fatty.

Big up mini mzzf and her new skillz 🙌🏻
She is mega clever doing sitting!
I wander if we have another skill coming as Ds is super clingy and a bit cranky. I'd be very happy if he re-acquired his old sleeping abilities.

I hope you enjoyed Pilates jockstar.

Nice to have you back everything and random.

You sound like you're feeling positive today lily. It's lovely to hear.
The IKEA bibs we have are plasticy and quite thin. Good coverage and wash well, so I'm happy. Ds likes liking the food off them and scrunching them Up with his hands.

I hope everyone else is ok - too much to catch up on.
Ds is zonked on my boob - fingers crossed for a ninja transfer so I can go downstairs to watch eastenders.

Nothing really to report-first swimming lesson tomorrow (swimming bag all packed and ready to go, see pic) and think we're also going to give weaning a shot this weekend Smile.

Wishing you all sleepy vibes and wonderful weekends xx

Morning! How come the baby of two night owls has decided to be such an early bird?! I've been up for hours already - Saturday though so still in my pyjamas obvs.

Hurrah for teeth and super skilled babies. DS has developed a weird new vocal skill of kind-of growling and grunting. Basically sounds like he's trying to push one out. All. Day. Clever boy 😒

Happy birthday Peachy! Hope you have a fab day, and the rest of you ladies have got an ace weekend lined up.

I am having my first ever night away from DS tonight as am going back east for a good friend's 30th. It also means it's DP's first ever night shift! Totally preparing myself for his tales of tiredness tomorrow 😂

Clstow we've been up ages too - night owls obvs create morning people! DS has worked out how to use the jumperoo and seems to mostly like it! He just looks intensely at everything so it's hard to know! The cat opened the door earlier (it was just pushed to) and DS saw the door move but no person and got a bit freaked out. Showed him the cat and he seemed to get it :/ gave him some baby rice the other day. He was more interested in the spoon tbh. To be fair the rice looked like wallpaper paste so maybe that's why! We have also reinstated the 4am feed joy. Well done all the sitting babies! DS likes to when I support him and obvs wants to do it but can't by himself yet. Hence frustration! Have a good Saturday Augmums! DH and I have a date night tonight ooh.
