New thread ladies. I totally want to eat Nutella and breadstick's right now!

Coconut I'm already thinking end of April was too late for a christening as dd just wants to be on the go all the time already. But I also don't want to look fat on the photos so that'd why I delayed it. Just polished off the rest of a bag of skittles for breakfast though so it's not gone well so far hahaha.

Dd was brilliant in plane yet again. She was a bit upset before going on so I thought she was going to be a nightmare but she was fab. Played happily for ages then fell asleep till be got home.

Just need to get her back into her own cot for sleeping. Couldn't be bothered trying last night as we didn't get home till midnight.

Hope your DS is feeling better today lily and that your work were understanding.

I keep deciding that I am not going to eat any junk dozy but chocolate is so appealing when you've had little sleep! No preperation, can eat with one hand and no washing up... perfect!

Need to start thinking about DS christening. Dsil had her son baptised at 2 and spent most of the service chasing him up the aisle!

Glad your DS loves his jumperoo ruby. DS has been in his since 4 months, but he is a right chunky monkey, 22lb at last weigh in just after Christmas, so he's fast approaching the 26lb max weight. It is lifting a bit now when he jumps! Don't know what we'll do without it as he loves standing up but walkers have the same max weight.... Have been trying to find something for a bigger baby but not much available.

fatty Nutella and breadsticks is an actual thing! Who knewSmile

Lily that sounds very scary, glad you are in good hands now.

Dozy Switzerland sounds amazing, glad she was good for you on the plane fingers crossed for the way back too.

Thanks all for recommending the jumperoo, got one and DS loves it! He has been going mad bouncing around like crazy today-hoping burning all that energy will mean more sleep but doubtful I'm sure!

Oops better go DS awake..

We need a new thread :)

Sorry not been around. Away in Switzerland atm. Due home late tonight. Dd as fab on way out but she's a bit poorly so not sure how return flight is going to go.

Fudge hot cross buns?! I've never heard of these. I want one right now! However I'm a fat porker so once I get home I must not eat anything naughty. I have Dd christening on 30th April so I really want to lose at least a stone by then if not more so need to get my head in the game.

Sorry I'm rubbish at being admin for fb group too lol. Frolic is also admin so if u message us both hopefully one of us will reply.

Oh my God lily, so terrifying for you all. So scary to see your little one get ill like that. I hope the drugs are working well for him and you've had a bit of rest at least. Work will understand I'm sure.

Lily - hope your DS is better this morning and that you got some rest!

5th attempt at posting so briefly - if it's egg watch cheese and pesto - I got caught with F but she only colics and vomits.

Some Italian cheeses use egg protein instead of rennet - Grana Padano is the most common in the uk.

I'm sure your work will understand

Oh lily I hope things are better for you and DS this morning - you must have got such an awful fright especially how quickly things flare up - thank goodness you managed to get to doctors so quickly - very worrying for you X. I am sure your work will be understanding - these things happen - your DS is more important than anything else right now - thinking of you all💐

Oh no lily how terrifying! Complete nightmare scenario, what a horrible thing to happen. Are they able to tell you what caused it? Hope you get some sleep and don't think twice about work - they'll just have to lump it xx

How scary for you. Don't worry about your post being about you, for crying out loud! We don't mind, your priority is babylily. Completely understandable. And I'm sure work will be understanding too.

Well my last day of mat leave hasn't really gone according to plan!! Gave Ds mashed boiled egg with butter and cheese for lunch as not much food in house as dh was at lidl shopping. About 20 minutes later dh was back and Ds in jumperoo laughing his head off- dh asks what the white mark on his head is with red round it. I thought he must have scratches himself but for him out to look then he started getting white blisters and going all red everywhere then literally before my eyes the blisters were bursting and weeping and more coming. We got in the car and went to the walk in centre then in the car his eyes and ears and mouth all swelled up and when I got to the desk in reception I hadn't even finished saying 'I think he's had an allergic reaction...' And they literally screamed for staff and rushed us into a room, stripped him and started attaching stuff to him and rang an ambulance. He looked like the elephant man it was awful! Adrenaline, piriton, hydrocortisone and a blue light later and he looks much better but keeping in for obs and probably being issued an epi pen!

I'm knackered! I hate hospitals so am anxious anyway and there's 2 teenage boys in the bay who keep turning the TV louder and talking about their sexual escapades!! You would have thought babied would be separate despite children's wards going up to age 16! Really want to scream at them to shut up but don't want to wake Ds! Should think themselves lucky! Can't see me sleeping I feel like I want to watch him breathe all night like when he was newborn! Work are going to think I'm making it up being off on my first day back after 7 months off!!

Sorry for the me post will reply when my heDs not so mashed!

I am in shock - J has been asleep without needing to be settled since 7:30! DH and I are slightly in shock at having our evening free ... Hope this means he will be ok when we go to bed

Grin That is awesome fatty! Enjoy the Brew and Minecraft. I'm in bed before DS1, as usual. I get so tired at this time. What a rock and roll life!

I am awesome! All 3 kids have been asleep in their own beds for over an hour now! I'm downstairs, playing Minecraft and I've even managed to have a brew in peace!
hope I've not just jinxed myself

We've all been dozing on the sofa. Ate far too much at lunch, slow walk to get J to nap in the sling as he wouldn't sleep last night. Have sent DH up to do bathtime and hoping J will settle for the night after that.

I'm sleepy. We went on a dragon hunt today. We didn't find any dragons, but Nathan loved the dogs that came past. And he enjoyed looking at the trees.

Effin DS has just mastered the roll this week too. Sadly it was not the developmental leap we'd been hoping would end his sleeplessness. Clearly his still mastering Japanese or whatever skill it is that warrants 100 night wakings.

Agree pottering round as a little family of 3 is nice. What weekends are for.

DH just made frittata for lunch. First time we've all eaten the same thing. Was really nice us all having together. And I think DS liked. Had asparagus in. Wonder if he's wee will smell funny can't smell worse

random glad your DH made it through the biopsy ok and hope that mil stopped being annoying and started being some help.

Today was much better, thanks. Ended up giving ds water in a bottle which he took more of, though I want to carry on encouraging him with a cup too.

We went to a child first aid course today. It was a bit scary going through all the things that could possibly go wrong, but great to have some idea of what to do. Especially with choking as we're now into the weaning. Speaking of which, we pureed our homemade curry from yesterday and DS seemed to like it. Not sure he could be ours if he didn't like curry, and I ate enough of it when pregnant!

We also moved ds into his big cot today - still next to our bed though as there's no way I'm traipsing around for 4+ feeds every night. He did his first on-purpose roll (front to back) today too. It's all go here!! Though I realise lots of babies have been doing this for months!! Grin.

He has also just worked out how to play peekaboo. I only realised when he was cracking up with laughter at DH hanging out the washing and so was disappearing and reappearing. So cute! Think this is part of the developmental stage where they get separation anxiety too, as they realise you still exist even when they can't see you.

kbro hope you enjoyed your chilling. My favourite days are when the three of us just potter aboot together.

Well done on the cleaning coconut. I tend to do a week's worth of cleaning over about a month Confused

Period pains and dress making crafty? High five to you!

I hope you have a better night Kbro.

'McGrat* we're also in the midst of the first wave of separation anxiety. In a way it's nice to know they love you and need you so much, but it is very draining. DH is also struggling as he feels a bit unwanted.

Coconut, DS1 is 3. I was hoping he might soon outgrow the 'difficult in show shops' stage, but you've taken all hope lol!
