But she looks oh so cool Grin
I still have sicky DC. But I bought DD knickers yesterday and she seems keen to try them out. Not doing it today though as she's got the squits....ugh..

Giraffescandance1 · 06/02/2016 19:09

Awww Fanby she's so cute, she's letting it all go now she's on hollibobs. Hope your day got better and you're settling in to your hotel by now Wink

Oh Fatty poor you, sounds like stomach bug HQ round your place, hope it gets better soon...

Frolicacid · 07/02/2016 08:47

Good morning! I hope the quiet thread means you're all having a good weekend.
Not much going on here. We helped my mum pack up the last of my granny's house yesterday. Apparently I was there as a 5 month old when they moved in, so it was quite fitting to have Ds there rolling around on the last day. Having him there totally stopped me from getting too sad. And he behaved impeccably, charming the socks off aunties, uncles and cousins.
We're having a cuddles and pj day so far today as dh buggered off surfing at the crack of dawn.

LOVING grumpy2's WTF face slow! That's the look she will be giving you when she's a very cool teen and you are very embarrassing mum 🙂

I'm exactly the same lily. I keep dipping in to the car seat fund for lovely baby clothes 🌈

I hope you've had a nice weekend away tindel.

Brilliant picture fanby. Very cool Molly 😎
Have an amazing time.

Oh no fatty! I hope you all get better soon.

Right, first nap is underway, so I'm going to shut my eyes too. Happy Sunday augabeans.

MaGratgarlik1983 · 07/02/2016 11:52

Urggh DS has hand foot and mouth!! Took him to out of hours gp this morning after high temps and crying. Poor little man.

Lilydreams · 07/02/2016 13:25

Just running in to talk about PPP, will post properly later, so maybe if your eating read this after!

Should DS be having solid poo now he's having solids as well as milk!? I thought as he was still only having a bit that his poo should still be quite soft but it has been getting increasingly more pastey and thick over the last few days and then he had a big whingey crying fit followed by a Poo which when I changed him was literally like an adult solid poo!!!!! Just a bit smaller! Is this right??! Or is he constipated!?

He's been a right whinge bag due to the crying on and off it has taken me 2 and a half hours to get showered and dressed and I've just had to eat weetabix with yoghurt as I've no milk and was hoping to have got to lidl by now today- it's now stuck in my teeth like cement!! So is the thing constipation or something else wise mugabeans?

Shit he's just woke up and is looking at the monitor camera must run!!!

kbro79 · 07/02/2016 16:31

Lily I don't know - DS is doing exactly the same though. Worried have given him too much too soon. He has cried the last few times he's pooed as well. Would have thought as most of food should come from milk he would still do v runny ( sorry, lovely image) poos but they are also like grown up poo.

Frolicacid · 07/02/2016 20:01

lily and kbro, ds got a bit constipated a couple of weeks ago. Tears and straining at poo time and then big grown up dry logs. He's been loads better sine I stopped porridge and started giving him water with every meal. The poo is now pasty and brown. Nothing like the runny yellow ebf poo, but not like an adult one either 💩💩

I hope he's ok magrat.

Where are the rest of you? Have you deserted us?

Tindel · 07/02/2016 20:19

Still here! Had lovely time introducing J to his Welsh cousins, who were v excited to finally meet him. Had him in bed with me both nights and he woke to feed virtually every hour. Once he was out of the car and at home, he's still that hungry and I am exhausted. He's upstairs with DH while I eat dinner, but the only thing that seems to settle him is boob and that only works for a short while. He's also super distracted while feeding, so feeds are taking even longer. Feeling a bit better from my bug, but just drained from feeding constantly. Not sure how much longer I can function like this. Sorry, bit of a pity party, but am worried that I'm not providing him with enough food because I'm still not eating properly. Would love a decent night's sleep, but not optimistic.

sianihedgehog · 07/02/2016 20:50

Lovely weekend for us here! DP took charge of baby for a couple of hours on Saturday and I got to have a solitary bath, then today a friend was in town unexpectedly and suggested lunch and DP actually wanted to go! So we packed up the baby and spent all afternoon in the pub eating fancy burgers and having a beer. So glad we breastfeed when something like that comes up, it's so nice to just be able to get out with minimal planning and to just stay as long as we feel like without worrying about bottles. DS was on top form, charming everyone and even having a nap in my lap. :)

Obviously that means he's bound to be awake all night. :P

everythingispeachy · 07/02/2016 21:11

I'm still here. Very quiet weekend here. Spent today tidying up and giving the place a good clean. Then I cooked a roast chicken and ds2 sat in his high chair and had some broccoli and carrot. We are doing blw so not sure if he actually ate anything. Will see in the poo tomorrow. Not sure when it starts to thicken up despite being a second timer I can't remember a thing. If you think he might be constipated try giving some pear. I found that works. Right I'm soo tired so off to bed.

mzzzf · 07/02/2016 22:38

Old ladies. Deffo still here just been busy with friends staying all weekend. Weekend shenanigans are totes different with a baby in tow now aren't they?! I was heading to bed before midnight both nights - what a party animal!!

Mini mzzzf was her usual cheery self with extra faces around to play with. Also because of the extra hands I got to shower and poo in peace - yay! It's the little things isn't it?! 😁

So last night, she went from 7.45pm until 7am without wanting to feed at all 😳 And she slept in big old chunks of sleep. I was amazed!!!! However, I'm experienced enough with the jinxes now to know not to expect that again for a verrrrrrry long time, although it would be lovely tonight!

And the other development is that she is 100% mobile now and crawling about like a goodun', should burn a few extra calories chasing after her and trying to stop her injuring herself! also she now loves 'walking' round holding onto hands but my goodness she wants to do it loads, my poor back and hamstrings! Plus I think I inadvertently flashed boob at the weekend a fair bit walking round in bent over position - might have to wear some less baggy clothes now!

Re constipation, dd has pretty much been having solid poos since starting on the relfux formulas when she was 6/7 weeks. Water deffo helps, as does movement. And I found the poos come in cycles, a week of firms, followed by some mammoth wetter ones etc etc

Hope you've all had lovely weekends ladies!! But errrgh Monday tomorrow!

Slowifeandthegrumpydwarfs · 07/02/2016 22:48

We are here! Nice quiet day yesterday after the excitement of the rugby on Friday night. Every Saturday we let grumpy 1 pick a country off the world map and then we cook food from that place for tea. This week was Russia which kept grumpy 1 and DH busy in the kitchen for most of the day! Stayed up far too late to finish watching Homeland in the evening - very sad Sad.

Today grumpy 2 and I have travelled down to London as I have another meeting tomorrow. First time solo on the train and we did well! She was very charming and made lots of friends out of the other Sunday travellers Grin.

On the poo front, we haven't started weaning yet but her poo (which is still pretty sporadic) has been getting thicker and pastier for a few weeks now. As their gut matures they extract more and more out of the milk leaving less and less fluid behind. So in short, thick pasty poo is totes normal at this stage food or no food! 💩

Right, am flying solo tonight so am off to get some sleep before the mayhem begins circa 01:30...

loveandsmiles · 08/02/2016 06:41

Morning all😀. Can't believe Monday already. DH has been away working all weekend due to the fact he had to take a couple of days off last week whilst I was ill - he came home at 10pm last night but we were all in bed - saw him briefly this morning as he was off out at 6am. Spent all weekend cooking, cleaning and taking DC to activities.

fanby Molly looks so cool - happy hols😎

mcgrat hope DS is better now?

tindel don't worry about baby not getting enough food - I didn't eat most of last week but babyloves still managed to - as long as they have wet and pooey nappies they are getting what they need - it is really tiring feeding them though when you feel unwell.

siani sounds like you've had a lovely weekendSmile

mzzzf I cannot believe minimzzzf is so mobile!! Honestly babyloves just lies on her playmat with the occasional leg kick - she has only rolled onto her tummy a couple of times and can't get back and can barely bear any weight on her legs. She can't even sit up properly. I suppose we've not encouraged her much - immobile babies are much easier to manage!!

slow what did you make from Russia??

Off to swimming then tumble club this morning............have a fun monday😀

mzzzf · 08/02/2016 10:53

Wowzers it is really reeeeeally quiet on here at the mo. Does this mean the Facebook group is rocking it?

Loves - you must be feckin' shattered having to be on duty all weekend too!! Hope you're recovering now though.

On one hand her being mobile is great, hardly any of the ear splitting frustration screams from not being able to move but now she wants to touch EVERYTHING and there's a lot more head bangs as she tries to pull herself up things 😔
Like she's just doing on the sofa right now! (Ignore the beer bottle, am a cleaning heathen and its left over from last night!!! 😳)

Morning ladies. Poor DS is pretty ill. Finally fell asleep on me a while ago. He only wants to be held so DH and I took shifts last night. I also Co slept for the first time and was so worried I barely slept anyway. He's hardly drinking anything as he'd got the spots on his mouth and throat too. I'm so worried about dehydration but the out of hours gp said to just keep offering sips which I am doing. Think I am also getting it now!

mzzzf · 08/02/2016 11:07

Oh bloody hell MaGra!! That stuffs isn't nice at the best of times never mind when you're lacking sleep and looking after a sickie baby too. PJ day your house I reckon!!

Morning!
Ds did a 6 hour stretch last night for the 3rd night in a row. I know better than to think it's now a thing, but, fuck me, it's been great!

What's everyone up to today? I'm having an early lunch while Ds naps. Cheese, ham and tomato sarnies and beefy monster much. Yum! We've got swimming this afternoon.

I hope you're feeling better today tindel. Try not to worry about supply as baby will get what he needs. It is you who will be left short, so take it easy and try and get something down you. Plenty of fluids too. 💐

Not faffing with bottles is a definite big plus to bf'ing siani. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend 🙂

She looks so grown up mzzf! Ds is rolling all over the shop, but isn't anywhere near strong enough yet for sitting up or crawling thank god.
Yay for a good weekend and more decent sleeps.
I'm wandering too if everyone has left us for Facebook ☹️

Enjoy London slow. I'm also intrigued as to what your Russian food was.

Enjoy swimming loves.

Big hugs and lots of sympathy magrat. I hope it passes quickly. Pj day is a must for you today.

mzzzf · 08/02/2016 13:14

The silly thing is frolic, now I 'know' you all a bit more and the group is a little more...errr small select then I'd be ok on Facebook with you guys! I just didn't fancy the mass group right at the beginning of everything. Oh well - were still holding on at mugabes! 😁

OP posts:
rrra · 08/02/2016 13:40

I'm still lurking but largely too tired/depressed to post. I'm just so freaking tired. Up every 45m/1h last week or so. Cosleeping doesn't make much difference just means DS is closer and I have less room and get uncomfortable.

Was going to start some sleep training ( but not cc or cio), but just noticed looks like DS is about to cut a tooth. So probably can't start which means we'll miss the only weekend for ages that my parents can have DD to stay on fri and sat nights. Sigh.

I'm happy you guys are starting to get more sleep, but v v jealous. Also can't believe there are already mobile babies!

Frolicacid · 08/02/2016 15:08

I was thinking exactly the same mzzf! I didn't join the big group due to work and stuff. But now I feel like I 'know' you all, I'd happily be Facebook friends 🙂

Talking of Facebook, I've just been thoroughly depressed by the time hop feature. 7 years ago bought beautiful photos of an amazing holiday in the Maldives. The weather was glorious, obviously, and my bikini body wasn't that bad either. Damn those bueno's!

That sounds utterly crap rrra 💐☕️ Fingers crossed the tooth pops out quickly and you all get some sleep.

kbro79 · 08/02/2016 17:49

Am still here and still rocking magubees several times a night.

Go mini mzzzf. She can get a chance to test out theory 473 on why DS doesn't sleep. Is because he is not active enough. He is firmly in lazy baby camp. Not rolling sitting or crawling.

We had a lovely time in centre Parcs. And group dynamics seemed to work well - last time we all went away it got a bit bickery. Slow grumpy 2 WTF face made me laugh a lot as was similar to DS when we decided on a late swim (well late for DS) he kept looking at me with a 'why am i in the pool' face. Still life is too short to be ruled by bedtime.

Thanks all for the meal routine times. Think am going to stick with a later dinner as also like us all to eat together at some point and just figure it will all work itself out eventually.

Rrra Flowers it is relentless isn't it. No advice but a solidarity fist bump / tearful hug. Which ever you'd prefer.

mzzzf · 08/02/2016 19:50

Question for you ladies - forgive the tmi but what contraception are you lot using now post baby?

I started back on the mini pill but I've been bleeding constantly for the past 10weeks and now it's getting heavier, which I thought was period on top of bleeding but maybe not that now. Thing is I was on it for years before conceiving DD and had no probs whatsoever!
We'll likely be trying for number two at the end of the year so long term ish ones are out (coil, patch etc) but I feel very nervous just using condoms. The teenager in me thinks I'll get pregnant immediately!! (Fuck that!!)
So, if you don't mind sharing what you're on if find it dead helpful 🤓🤓

Still here. Don't post much because I'm really busy but none of it is very interesting! The support on here is great though. It's a good place for people to come.

rra really sorry to hear that you are feeling so low. Have you anyone to talk to? Hv or GP maybe? If cosleeping isn't for you then maybe pick-up-put-down would be your solution. I know lots of people who did it with great success. Hope you get some respite soon. It's so hard.

Dd2 is the same weight at 5 months that dd1 was at 10 months. Just packed away all the 3-6 clothes. It seems to be going so fast! Also I need to get invites for at least six fancy parties in the next three months. We have so many party frocks in this size. Eeek! Such a shame if we don't get a chance to wear things. Is it worth eBaying stuff with tags or will I not get much?

Bloody Facebook memories! Reminders of me 4 stone ago! So depressing. Pass the buenos.

Went swimming with the girls yesterday. There was a wee baby ages with ours. She was born 12 weeks early and has a cleft lip. We are so, so lucky.

Frolicacid · 08/02/2016 20:19

mzzf, we generally use co-sleeping, seperation rooms and tiredness as contraception. But, on the odd occasion that those fail, we are just using condoms. They are fine, and safe enough if used properly. I will get another copper coil eventually (no dc 2 for a few years), but I'm waiting to make sure the womb of doom is 200% ok before having it in.
I did think about using charting, temping etc, but I'm too scared!

Ds went down very easily tonight. Unusual for post swimming tiredness. I wander if I'll pay later on?
