New thread for all the regulars at the bar, and the not so regulars too.

Ahh bless her! Least she didn't make a fuss about the nappy!!
I like the fb group too, it's been super helpful. However I must confess, and I'm not just saying it - I do prefer the group on here, I think I share more similar parenting styles :)

She's so so... She now has a filthy cold and so we're still in bed but she seems happy enough but overall she's a lot fussier which isn't like her. We're soldiering on!!!! Grin still up a million times during the night but I know we'll get there, eventually.... Xx

Dozygirl · 21/12/2015 10:54

Clstow only 2 bottles!! I only give 1-2 bottles a day and have 8 bottles and still seem to run out lol.

kbro79 · 21/12/2015 11:30

Ahh just lost my post and now I need to get ready but to summarise:

Love the baby pics

Siani DS is doing exactly that with his poos. Gone from 3/4 a day to every other day. Brace yourself for when it comes. They are now full outfit changes for both of us.

Fanby let me know how you get on. In the new year i think we need to try the same if DS is still waking so much. Lol at starving Molly. As if. DS is def feeding for comfort. Which at moment am just going with as too tired for anything else. But will address at some point.

Right must dash. Can't hide from in laws for ever.

sianihedgehog · 21/12/2015 11:42

Well, he finally pooped... On the changing mat. Ended up needing not just a full costume change but also a bath!!

Fanby · 21/12/2015 13:03

Kbro - I agree with you, once the poo gates open get ready to get through a lot of vests and napisan!!!

Already on the sleep I do feel like we're making some progress, it really is minimal and it's really hard work as its a lot of up and down and setting but the gaps are getting slightly longer. We are using a dummy to settle rather than picking her out of the cot and rocking and that led to some serious tantrums! However the night before last she went back into her cot wide awake no dummy after a 4am dirty nappy change and she settled herself back to sleep until 7:20 which was EPIC!
DH is helping but he was getting majorly frustrated last night. He's not used to doing it though as obviously ive done every night feed from the start more or less. The issue we have tonight though is she's woken up with a cold, rather snotty and rattly breathing so I would feel so mean if she wants a drink/boob tonight for her throat if that makes sense but then on the other hand if we stop are we back to square one when she's just starting to get it? x

Slowifeandthegrumpydwarfs · 21/12/2015 13:29

Will catch up properly later but while we are at it, here is grumpy 2 rocking the 'just come in from a walk and Mummy doesn't want to wake me up' star snug look Grin

mzzzf · 21/12/2015 14:42

Grumpy2 really is rocking that!

Well done on the sleep Fanby!

Some serious code browns going on ladies - the only joy of Babi ta reflux baby is that she rarely has runny poos due to the formula she's on. Her burps are outstanding though!

Soooooo, this has happened. Which as you'll know is a HUGE deal for us. Fell asleep independently AND not on a human mattress!!!! Been going for 30mins so far which is longer than anything for the last few days. OMG!
Santa is real!!!! 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻

sianihedgehog · 21/12/2015 15:22

My cat is back!!! Best Christmas present ever! A lady a few streets over saw the posters and thought that the big black cat sneaking in her cat flap and eating her cat's food might be him. It was!!! I'd had so many calls about cats that weren't him that I was completely gobsmacked.

randomsabreuse · 21/12/2015 15:24

I've found my secret to naps not on me - babygym. -Also being post vaccination- but she just drops off on the playmat. Not ideal as not easy to baby monitor and we have a dog so have to stay close but still can get some chores done!

Fanby · 21/12/2015 15:30

Slowwife - loving the orange combo - the cardi is fabulous!!

Siani - MIOW!! Welcome home!! So happy for you!!

Mzzf - yay for independent nappage!! That's amazing!! Go mini!!
Seriously not worth well done-ing quite yet on the sleep, we're still up 6 times lol!!

Just been to the pharmacy for some snufflebabe for molly (am I right in thinking someone said put it on the soles on the feet), and beechams for DH's man flu. We've also joined the library for molly and she has a beautiful Maisy library card and her sure start reading pack and stopped off at the charity shop where I scored a door bouncer and a beautiful monsoon top for the little one! A good trip out in the rain I'd say!! Xx

MaGratgarlik1983 · 21/12/2015 16:12

I have seven bottles

Dozygirl · 21/12/2015 16:21

Yey go mini mzzf! ! What an achievement. There's hope for you yet. Santa is need real lol.

Awww poor molly pops fanby. I think you can put in on the feet for cough . I've not tried it yet. Hope it helps.

Love the orange snug with matching cardigan. I'd love to have ones in all different colours. It was so hard just to choose one snug.

A friend bought dd a Xmas present which I opened early. It was a hideous pj set of some obscure disney princess I've never heard of (and I'm a Disney geek) plus the top and bottom were in different sizes. Anyway I was going to take it back but hadn't got round to it yet and then was giving said friend a lift so shoved it in the boot. Then picked another friend up who put things in the boot and when we all got out she looked in the boot and saw the outfit ready to go back 🙊🙊🙊 I didn't know what to say!! Luckily because they were different sizes I said I was returning it to get matching size. She said she new it was different sizes but figured it didn't matter as most kids are different sizes top to bottom anyway. Surely when she was buying it though from tescos she could have found something else that was matching?! Unless it was in the sale but still there must have been something else.

Anyway I prob sound ungrateful because it was nice of her to get her a gift but I feel bad that I don't like it. She hasn't got very good taste in baby clothes it would seem as I didn't like the newborn baby gift she got either but I don't know where that's from.

Dozygirl · 21/12/2015 16:23

Siani yey for your cat returning. What a relief. And good to see missing posters must work.

kbb23 · 21/12/2015 16:43

not sure who asked but we only have 3 bottles...would recommend more tho as i am constantly having to wash and sterilise them ready for the next feed.

Fanby · 21/12/2015 16:47

Dozy - your post made me chuckle ( sorry!!). Excellent cover up though I must say!! Well done for thinking on the spot. Very bizarre to buy two different sizes for a matching set of PJs???! Describe the princess character I want to try and guess who it is :) x

Frolicacid · 21/12/2015 16:55

Good afternoon! I've been a good girl and sent the cards, made some fudge and a pepper risotto for supper and done loads of washing. I've also been to the dr's and had another dose of antibiotics. It's so weird - surely I'd feel ill or have a temperature if I did have an infection? I feel fine apart from being quite sore. Oh well! I wasn't planning on gaving any booze over Christmas anyway.

Go mini mzzf! That's brilliant! Long may it continue.
I also love tartiflette. Another reason to wish dh wasn't veggie!

Macaroni cheese and chips sounds awesome jockstar.

Poor, snotty Molly fanby. I hope it's not a bad one. Ds fed a load more when he had a cold.
I love a successful shopping trip- especially with charity shop bargains thrown in.

That sounds like an epic poo siani! I'm so pleased your cat has come home for Christmas 🙂

I adore the orange slow!

That's hilarious that she saw you with the pj's to change dozy! Very strange to give you a non matching pair in the first place.

Fanby · 21/12/2015 17:02

Frolic, are you super woman in disguise? That is some good effort!! Please can I have some pepper risotto and fudge for desert??! x

Frolicacid · 21/12/2015 17:25

I wI'll definitely keep some for you fanby! I've never made fudge before, so I'm hoping it's ok. Dh loves it, so I thought he could take some into his work as they've all been very generous with Ds.

I forgot to mention that the dr wants me to do a pregnancy test. I didn't need a wee in the surgery, so promised to do one at home! Can you imagine 😱

Joskar · 21/12/2015 17:46

I think you can actually drink on most antibiotics. Worth checking so you don't deny yourself unnecessarily!

Love the orange star. I have a wee one in purple and the big one in green. I'd like more but that would be totally ridiculous.

Just back from Tesco for the big Christmas shop. Left dd1 with her daddy so I just had the baby. It wasn't too bad but they were out of Quality Street (wtf?!) and I've so far remembered six things I've forgotten. Damn it!

Who buys pyjamas in different sizes?! That's nuts! I took back some lovely things today. A pale pink dress in 9-12 size which is no good because she'll be crawling then so it'll get destroyed and a gorgeous fleece lined red cardigan that won't fit til the summer. People are very kind but not very sensible!

sianihedgehog · 21/12/2015 18:57

Well, I was definitely worrying a nothing with the poop. We're now on poop number four today!

Clstow · 21/12/2015 20:08

Aargh we are currently in an AA recovery truck going from Bristol (where we were visiting relatives) home to London. Why does the car have to decide to break down when we are miles from home and it's Christmas?!

FattySantaRobin · 21/12/2015 20:27

clstow oh no. That's shite.

Fanby · 21/12/2015 20:40

Omg frolic!! Can you imagine??!!! Wee girl wee!!

Oh clstow - rubbish! You poor things, hope you get home ok x

Joskar - totally hadn't thought about crawling element, I'm going to bear that in mind when I'm sale shopping. Gutting about the quality street - did you get Cadbury heroes instead??! YUM

Siani - excellent news on poo! Woohoo.

Molly is asleep (gawd knows for whole long) and we're just catching up with the apprentice final :).

It's the Christmas party at Mugabe nights, pull up a bar stool and order your shots! August 2015
kbro79 · 21/12/2015 21:15

Snap fanby with the apprentice final. Although I am missing you're hired as aidan is in very over stimulated mood so we are having some down time in the dark!

Mzzzf that is great news. Now if she could give aidan a ring and tell him how that would be great!!

Clstow that does not sound fun. Hope you get home ok.

Fanby · 21/12/2015 21:26

I've given up on your hired and got into bed. Fingers crossed for some zzzz's before the wake ups start (we've already had an epic one whilst watching)! Hope he settles quick Kbro xx
