Hi all

Nova hope you're feeling better today

Chacha I'm confused, read your message but wasn't sure what I was supposed to do Will send you a text later when I've got some credit on my phone

We've been down to Wales for a few days, but came back yesterday as dh, Ben & Tom all have some sort of virus so it's been sick buckets to the ready and a fast route to the bathroom cleared. I think I had it mildly at the start of the week but put it down to over indulge on the hen weekend. Still mum power to the rescue as I just haven't got time to be sick

One moment here, Ben's best friend broke her leg on Thursday , it's the second time she's done it in two years. The really gutting thing is that it's the daughter of my best friends who are getting married on the 6th January so their daughter is going to be following them down the aisle on a zimmer frame - I suppose that's one way to upstage mums big day isn't it!!!

Well I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and that the run up to Eid is lovely for you too Chahca.

Hope santa brings you all you wish for and that you and your families have a wonderful day. {fgrin] Beks

twinkle1 · 24/12/2006 17:19

Diege · 24/12/2006 21:33

Hi everyone . Well, presents wrapped and just taking a breather before attempted tidy-up! Wishing everyone a brilliant Christmas - seems only yesterday that they were all tiny babies awaiting their first christmas!
Thanks for a fab time in Manchester TWINKLE ; boy, can we shop!!! Yes, definitely arrange something v.soon ; oh and those PJs with sheep went down v.well - the girls had them tonight as part of a 'xmas eve' present .
Right, better sort out my piles!!!
Speak after the Christmas chaos!

IsawLandSmumkissingSantaClaus · 24/12/2006 22:01

Just a quickie to say Happy Christmas to everyone Hope you all have a lovely time!!
xxxx

BrownieBells · 24/12/2006 22:33

Hey all

Just a quickie from me too! Just checked and Santa is now in Poland, so will be with us all shortly!
Turkey is in oven ready to come on automatic, pots are all peeled, as are carrots and sprouts are also sorted (all thanks to DH!). So we will shortly be off to bed to await the ensuing chaos tomorrow!

Wishing you all a fabulous Christmas (and Eid for you Chacha) may the festive season be just that, and filled with much love and laughter.

Lots of love to you all

love Brownie & Thomas
xx xx

SiLondonernight · 25/12/2006 10:04

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

.....and thank you Secret Santa for Betty's lovely cutlery set and winnie the pooh figure.

Have a great day all!

GarfieldsGirl · 25/12/2006 10:14

Happy Christmas to you all.

Thank You for Seans Whale, he will love that when he has a bath.

Hope you're all having a better Christmas than us. I started throwing up yesterday (I haven't been sick since I was 15), then Owen's bike broke last night when we were putting it together, then Owen woke up this morning and started throwing up.

Sean's having a fab time though, tryign to open all of Owens presents that are still under the tree.

Beksmum · 25/12/2006 20:31

Merry Christmas Everybody

Oh GG you poor things, hope you both feel better soon. My three had it Saturday, it's a nightmare but if it's the same thing it should only last a few hours.

at Owens bike, what a nightmare, hope he enjoys opening the rest of his pressies tomorrow.

Santa was very good to my two last night and we haven't even started opening the pressies from fiends yet, so secret santa pls don't be offended that we haven't thanked you properly yet.

Right best go and put the kids to bed, my brother and his family have just left so things are quieting down here. Hope you're all feeling stuffed and happy Love to all Beks

Beksmum · 25/12/2006 20:33

fiends was that a freudian slip or what , needless to say it should have said friends!!!

Diege · 26/12/2006 09:52

Hello! . Hoping you all had lovely Christmas days, and that you are feeling better GG. Well, sickness bug struck with us too, Christmas morning - me throwing up all night, then dd1 all day . Hopefully Libby and Scarlett won't get it , and dh still going strong too!!
Think our ss arrived (PO card, we were out), so nice to look forward to when we're better.
Feeling rotton, so will post more when better

novadandypowder · 26/12/2006 10:52

Wow, I thought mine was food poisoning but maybe it was a bug after all. DH's step-dad who has been with us for a couple of days has come down with it .

Big thank you to our secret santa - the top is beautiful

Kisses to all xx

GarfieldsGirl · 26/12/2006 22:06

Wow! This bug certainly seems to be doing the rounds. Hope Diege, little Dieges, Nova, step-dad,and any others who've been hit by it are all better. Yes you were right Beks, we were over it by late afternoon. Wouldn't it be nice to get over illness as quickly as chidren do?

We had a nice day today. Owen being very excited about his presents. Took them both over the road on their bike/trike. BIL came round in the afternoon with his grandson & ds & is gf. So we had Christmas dinner with them all, filled ourselves full of chocolate cake, and had a good time.

And........no bf for about a week now.

Love to you all. xxxxx

Rodeohoho · 26/12/2006 22:08

Evening!
Oh no Diege, GG, Nova, Beks, Chacha - can't believe so many of you are so poorly Really hope it didn't spoil things too much. Think you can catch food poisoning person to person Nova, not that it means much now, hope you all fully recover soon. GG - hope your Christmas day was special (despite sickness) for the 4 of you - you sounded quite down about it in your last few posts. We had the day to ourselves too - much easier IMO
Well I am typing on my spanking new HP laptop - makes my old one look sooooo old! We had a lovely day, we've got piles of stuff everywhere, our family have gone way overboard! Thanks to our Secret Santa for the lovely tops - I'm going to stick my neck out and guess that our's was Beks! Am I right?! (Think I recognise the packaging and writing from Jess's birthday!) Just call me Sherlock! (unless I am wrong) Anybody else think they've guessed their's?
I had some fabulous news yesterday - My best friend had a little Christmas Day baby yesterday! A little 8lb 13oz girl called Alice Have been up to the hospital today and she's a gorgeous little bundle, with inch long sandy blonde hair! We were expecting her early Dec as she had her first dd 3 weeks early, but Alice was obviously too busy growing her mop of hair to come out and turned up 5 days late!
Bye for now! x x x

Beksmum · 26/12/2006 22:44

Evening girls

Rodeo is that really you or are you an imposter? - personally I preferred the code messages!!!
Hope you didn't steal Joe & Bella's selection boxes or that Jess didn't think they were all for her! Darn it I knew those post it envelopes would give me away - I'd have managed it if it wasn't for those pesky kids

Ben & Tom still have another day of presents to open including our Secret Santa (I've guessed mine, I recognised the postmark and I've met them and one elf wanted to come home in my buggy), I think I need elasticated walls to put all these toys away.

Hope everyone is feeling better now and just think with all this lurgy about none of you will have put on any weight over Christmas so no one will have to have "I'm going on a diet" as their New Years resolution

Right with such scintillating tv to watch I'm now off to bed had a lovely lie in this morning as Tom didn't get up till 9:20 bet it doesn't happen 3 days in a row! Beks

Rodeohoho · 26/12/2006 23:11

Beks Thanks again (now I know for certain it was you!)
Just thought I'd show you all this before I slope off to bed (although she'll probably kill me if she knew I was advertising it as it's not a good pic of her, but it was only taken 1 hour after she'd given birth, poor girl! Here!

BrownieBells · 27/12/2006 18:18

Hello all!

Thank you very much to Thomas's Secret Santa for the lovely Thomas Toy and BAth stuff (he is currently obsessed with bottles!)
Think our SS may have been Rodeo? But I am thrilled with whomever it was!

our Christmas day went without a hitch - which surprised me as we had 14 for dinner! anyway, it was relaxed and stress free, so we are very proud of ourselves!

Still trying to get my new Vodafone sim card sorted and activated - it is beginning to get on my pip now! but hey ho, it's Christmas so no point getting stressed!

Speak later, hope all poorly ones are on the mend, and everyone is having a fab time.

B
xx

IsawLandSmumkissingSantaClaus · 27/12/2006 21:54

Hi everyone

soory to see so many of you feeling unwell. Hope it all passes soon and that you enjoyed your christmases anyway!

We had a lovely one went to my mums on xmas day and came home this morning as Layla kept saying" I want to go home now and play with my other toys!" Bless her. They have both been really well ebhaved over xmas ( unlike some brattish brothers at my mums neighbours yesterday Xmas Angry)!

Thanks to my secret santa for Seths brio car its lovely, I know who all the secret santas are of course!!

FIL and wife coming for the day tomorrow with armfuls of tatt probably ( I know i sound v ungrateful)

See you soon xxxx

Ps Brownie , LOL at new phone getting 'on your pip' never heard that one before!

Beksmum · 28/12/2006 09:39

Morning!

WE're still lurgy infested here, my mum was really poorly yesterday but my dad got away virtually unscathed, but then my brother called and his family had it too - bleugh!

Thank you to my Secret Santa for the building blocks, Tom loves them and has been throwing them around and emtying them out of the bag faster than I can put them in

Glad to hear everyones xmas's went well even with the lurgy doing the rounds.

I'm off to pick up my friends wedding dress with her today and for a reherseal tonight. Ben is apparently going to be leading the procession into the church - bless.

Right best go and sort out the vast mountains of paper for recycling, speak to you all later Beks

Diege · 28/12/2006 10:51

Hi Slowly getting better here, though now Libby has gone down with the bug, so no real respite . Have to say that I am such a man when ill, lol!!!
Nonetheless, am braving the Next sale (well, what's left of it!)with dds 1&2, leaving L with dh .
Hopefully I'll bear up to the queues
Speak later! Have a great time at the wedding rehearsal BEKS!!

GarfieldsGirl · 28/12/2006 20:36

Oooh Beks, how exciting re wedding dress, and ahh bless at Ben leading them in. I'm sure your eyes won't be dry.

Diege, you're a braver woman than I. I stay as far away from sales as I can!

Quick question for the Londoners. We're parking at Richmond on Tuesday, then the route on tfl.gov.uk is train to West Hampstead, then tube to Wembley Park. Basically do you know where's the best chance of getting something to eat (pub type thing)?

Hope everyone still suffering with yuckiness is better soon xx

GarfieldsGirl · 28/12/2006 20:43

ooh! How the other half live!

The size of that bedroom!

Beksmum · 29/12/2006 10:48

GG sorry no idea on that side of london I'm afraid.

Thought the reception room & bathroom were a bit poky though for that size of house - would love to see the boys whizzing round in that entrance hall though

Lol at the rehersal yesterday, Ben was fab but I'm now carrying my friends daughter down the aisle as she couldn't manage it - hopefully by the 6th her leg might hurt a bit less but otherwise I''have my hat all askew so I don't tkae her head off

Diege how did you get on in the sales yesterday?

Right best go as supposed to be finding a home for all the toys, hope everyone is feeling bettrer Beks

ChaCha · 29/12/2006 19:09

Hi everyone,

Thank you SS for our pressie too He loves emptying the eggs/chicks from the box and putting them back in again, biting them, rolling them around on floor - it's great, we love it!! Not sure who our SS was but great idea, thank you once again.

Seems so many of us are poorly - that time of year i guess. We are all down with colds here too. DH returned from his holiday yesterday full of the flu [major eye rolling] so wasn't up to much but has been a good help today looking after DS while I get on with the 'out with the old' that I like to do before the New Year.

I hope that you're all enjoying the holidays girls. Talk over weekend x

Rodeohoho · 29/12/2006 19:59

Evening!
How are all the poorlies? Hope everyone is getting better. Poor dh, Chacha, manflu eh?!
GG, nice house, we should all club together - MN Mansion!
Brownie you are right! Glad you liked them
Not much news this end, found Jessie wearing a wee-y nappy tonight as a hat before bathtime but that's as exciting as it gets.
Speak later x

Beksmum · 29/12/2006 20:35

Diege did you go shopping in Next in Cwmbran/Wales? I've just spoken to my sil and she said they took £195,000 on the 1st day Sounds like your sort of shopping

Very boring here too, Tom is still awake and messing about with his mobile - little monkey.

Chahcha is this nesting we're witnessing then? If not can you send some of your spare energythis way please! What are you doing to celebrate Eid?
We're off to a friends for a party on New Years Eve, the nutcase has bought herself a hot tub and a 15ft bouncy castle for the kids to play on!

Right off to do some bargain surfing, see you all later Beks
