¡¡¡HAPPYBIRTHDAYTHOMAS!!!

Welcome to the cute 1 year old club!

Diege · 25/11/2006 10:52

Happy birthday Thomas!!!. Hope you have a lovely day!
Very relieved here as period has arrived ; not quite ready for no. 4 yet, plus I'd been taking nurofen migraine too during the month, which would have been a worry! Off to friend's 40th tonight, and desperately trying to convince myself that I don't really want to stay in and watch the x-factor!
Speak later!

Beksmum · 25/11/2006 12:27

Happy Birthday Thomas

Well done Libby

Chacha I haven't spoken to Karma for ages, I sent her a text on Ella's b'day but didn't get any response.

Right better go and do something with the family, speak to you all later Beks

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOMAS

browniechick · 26/11/2006 20:32

Hey All - Just a quick post to say thank you soo much for all off the birthday wishes for Thomas - very kind!
Also, thanks for the card & book Beks - really thoughtful of you, and also GG for the card, I was really touched.

Yesterday was manic! as usual chez Brownie! I think at one point we had over 23 people in our house, which was hectic, but fabulous at the same time! Was touched that so many friends and family wanted to celebrate our little boy's birthday! He had soo many gifts, and cards it was brill!
We took him today to get some new shoes, got his feet measured, we are now a very respectable 3½ G!!! Have also had to get wellies and slippers for nursery! (good luck to them I sy, cos he won't keep even socks on his feet for me!!)
Anyway, he also had a nirthday cake with his friends at Nursery on Friday, came home with a balloon and a card from his main carer, which was fab. This week he's going up into his new class! (where has the time gone?)
Chacha - hope yoour party went ok too! Also, if this isn't a too personal question, what is EID? Have absolutely no problem with different faiths participating in the Secret Present session (Xmas, Eid and so on!) but just wondered what it was, as have never heard of it before.....hope youdon't mind the question.

Right, am dashing off before watching the rest of NCIS before the Celebrity jungle thing!
Still got to find homes for all of the new toys, and then in a couple of weeks, we do it all again for Christmas!!??

Brownie

p.s am happy to get informed of Secret Present Recipient by Mobile - will re post mine on yahoo.

xxx

ChaCha · 26/11/2006 21:12

Hi all,

Brownie - B'day sounds fab, well done, glad you all enjoyed it so much. at 23 in house though, i was shattered with just 8 adults and 6 little ones and went into meltdown by 8pm!! Glad you mentioned feet measurements, must get onto that too asap.
Glad I didn't go OTT as Z couldn't have cared less about what was being served or what type of decoration had been put up, he did however have lots of fun with wrapping paper and empty boxes and pushing his little g/f aged 14mths around in his toy box He received a few really nice presents from our close friends which made me feel really proud and happy, don't think the train set will be in use for a while yet though, he was happier with the box it came in and only wanted to destroy what I took a great delight in building for him this morning...humph!!

Brownie, hope this helps, i just copied and pasted it for now and am happy to be asked questions of any kind
Eid ul-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى), (Persian: عید قربان) occurs on the tenth day of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijja. It is one of two Eid festivals that Muslims celebrate. Eid ul-Adha is celebrated by Muslims worldwide as a commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham) willingness to sacrifice his son (Ishmael) for (Allah) God. Others celebrate Eid-ul Adha as it marks the end of the Pilgrimage or Hajj for the millions of Muslims who make the trip to Mecca each year. Like Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha also begins with a short prayer followed by a khutba. In Mecca, the Khutba is delivered from Mount Arafat.

Finally our wee man is asleep so DH and I are going to watch a movie and relax. See you all later x

Beksmum · 27/11/2006 19:26

Hi girls thought you might like to see an extract of this e-mail I got from Karma

We've been having internet problems at home so I've been checking my emails at work & for some reason your email wouldn't 'open', IYSWIM.

We are all well here, Ella was one last Thursday but thanks to those who would've sent a card. I did try sending an email recently to the yahoo group page but work's PC wouldn't let me. Ella is walking & can already say 'hiya' which is rather cute. I think she understands what it means... she definately uses it in context. She says it when she puts her toy phone to her ear...already mastered the art of long girly phone chats!!

Things otherwise are ok. I'm now in a permanent job which has removed that stress from my life. I'm also enjoying the work so thats a bonus.

Christmas will be fun this year....I'd forgotten how a toddler can ruin a Christmas tree in seconds!!

Must dash, about to do some work, pah. Hope to catch up with you soon, I miss our chats. Give my love to the MN girls & their babes.

Bye for now,

Brownie the party sounds excellent and truely manic as only a 1 year olds party can be.

Chahca Z's party sounds fab too, glad to see you've posted your address now

We've had a good day today, Ben went to 'big school' to meet his teacher and new class mates this afternoon and had a really good time.

Right got to go I've been summoned for the bedtime routine - don't quite know what they'd do if I wasn't here Beks

LaylaandSethsmum · 27/11/2006 22:22

Londoner · 28/11/2006 09:39

Hi everyone,

and............HAPPYBIRTHDAYTOOSKAR! Hope you have a lovely 1st today!

Hi SS, ugh to MS and hope it goes very soon..... and it's always good to hear your news you know.

Beksmum · 28/11/2006 09:58

Happy Birthday Oskar hope you have a great day and tell your mum to come back and let us know how she is!

Hi SS, what are you like, you know we only chat about normal everyday things so if ms is your thing at the moment then we want to hear about it!

Blimey what a pants day, the weather here is horrible! Hope you're all having a good day Beks

Diege · 28/11/2006 11:07

Morning! Thanks for the reminder L&Smum, I've posted my moby no. on yahoo . Happy birthday OSKAR!!!! Hope you have a great day, and yes, tell your mummy she is missed!! Good luck with the driving test SS, you have a good attitude to it Maybe the examiner will tale pity on you if you let them know about possible MS issues . Hi to everyone else too - have planned what I'm sending for the Secret santa, but have to see if I get a boy or gilr before I get started!
Oh and I'm meeting up with TWINKLE tommorrow, so will try and remember my camera!

ChaCha · 28/11/2006 15:01

Happy Birthday Oskar - your mum is missed, hope she's okay and posts soon!

SS - Nice to see you post again and good luck with driving test. Beks - thanks for posting Karma's news, glad she's well and just busy.

We have pants day here too, we're all really tired seeing as Zed has a cold and is teething quite badly. He'll only fall asleep for a max of 30 minutes at a time before he's up screaming his lungs out, eyes watering, nose running and sneezing all over the place, poor little lamb. There goes the safety gate coming down noise....talk soon x

tessasmum · 28/11/2006 17:10

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OSKAR

GarfieldsGirl · 29/11/2006 09:46

Happy Birthday Oskar for yesterday. Hope mummy is OK xx

I seem to be surrounded by news at the moment. One of my best friends split up with her boyfriend last week. She phoned me telling me that they weren't right and he seemed distant etc. Then 2 days later he told her he doesn't love her blah-de-blah. Then he expects her to not be upset, and to still go away with him next month. grrr!
And Owens best friends mum has just had a m/c. She was 13wks. I never realised you actually had a 'labour' when you m/c. She seems to be handling it really well though.

this crash happened on saturday morning I heard the sirens just after 10, but didn't think anything of it as you hear sirens all the time round here adn there are halls of residence at the end of the road so there's always fire engines about. Having seen it was a BMW, that kind of explains it, but he still has to have been doing about 60mph round the bend (on a 30, soon to be 20mph road) to have lost it that badly. Its right next to a park, and we live just the other side of it. for the lady and her family, but so bloody that some idiot has no concern for anything except showing off to his mates. We use that park so often, Sean and I went for a walk through there yesterday. It does make you think all the 'what if's...'. again.

I was going to write something happy, but I've got riled again . I've had my implant out, hopefully this blimming period should stop soon (10wks and counting). Oh, that was the happy news. My friend who m/c when I was about 37/38wks pg with Sean, is now about 37/38wks pg herself, so she'll have a new little baby very soon.

Hope everyone is OK. Sorry for blabbering.

How did your driving test go SS?

novadandypowder · 29/11/2006 20:34

Hiya [waves]

Sounds like you're having a poo day GG - boo! Hoorah for your friends baby though , I got to hold a friends 3wk old yesterday and if I wasn't already pg I'd be broody as you like.

SS - hope your driving test was successful, and please feel free to talk about anything on here, Chacha and I are experts on ms .

Am feeling very big now, check out this conversation:
nursery manager: 'oh, you're getting big now, when are you due?'
me: 'end of March'
nursery manager: (opens mouth in gasp) oh, so quite a while yet then (looks down in embarrassment then shuffles off)
I was barely showing at this stage with Noo, can't believe I still have up to 17wks of growing to do .

Will post my moby no. now - sorry I thought it was still on the yahoo messages from the London meet up.

Oh, and much randomness, my uncle (who has been divorced from my aunt for at least 15 years, so I haven't seen him in many many years) was murdered last thursday . I find this news a bit strange.

It's not a sad thing Rodeo, he's been estranged from the family for many years, was an alcoholic living in a homeless hostel. They have 3 kids, but they hadn't seen him in years either, and they must be in their 20's by now. I just find it weird

Diege · 29/11/2006 22:45

Evening! Glad to hear from you RODEO, was getting a bit worried there! Seems like you're super busy at the moment, phew, though good to hear that the horseriding is still going going, you are lucky! NOVA : at your uncle - can totally understand your reaction, must be quite bizarre under the circumstances, and difficult to know how to react. at the accident GG - you're right about BMW drivers, at least in our area! Shocking stuff, and fingers cross the victim recovers.
Well, had a lovely meet-up with TWINKLE - she's well and looking great, as is 'little' Josh, who is such a sweet little boy!
Well, it's bed for me as dh has gone food shopping and if I'm up when he comes back it'll be the putting away for me !
